Best Day spas in Hong Kong

I had full Brazilian wax and upper lips wax. The experience was great, really skilled lady, very clean and hygienic place, with single use wax and spatulas.

I think it was the most expensive wax I ever had. 😅 550HK$, approx 70$US for the services I mentioned before, but maybe these are the local prices. Just consider it before. I came without an appointment and she received me immediately, so I cannot complain.

Facilities were a bit old but the harbour view was great.

I had a great massage session. I got a foot massage after a long two long days of walking and felt better the next day. Also had the lymphatic massage, it was a great massage.

told to arrive at least an hour early to enjoy the facilities but when I arrived, I’m not allowed to get into the massage room early. you’ll be given a cup of tea then you’re asked to first get changed in the public changing room then to store your stuff in the lockers (just like the ones in public gym).

then to enjoy the “facilities” - steam room, sauna room, a jacuzzi. but then all of these are public. didn’t expect that i’ll be paying >$2500 per person just to enjoy these public facilities.

I didn’t enjoy any of these because I wanted some privacy, so I told the receptionist I’d rather sit and chill before the treatment. Then I’m being led to walk along the gym lobby to get to the lift to the 9/F (spa) from the 7/F in bath robe, while there were quite a few gym bros and male receptionists along the way. Not sure if it’s just me or this is really embarrassing and quite unacceptable for a luxury spa like this.

On the 9/F, there were more public facilities - sauna, steam and a relaxation room. I chose to sit at the relaxation room before my treatment started.

Treatment was ok - kinda below expectations though. Overall poor experience given this price range.

Would not stay here again. Hotel needs a major upgrade. Would only come back for the sauna, which wasn’t even that great.

Awesome place! Had the best foot massage there, the staff are absolutely lovely. A great way to escape the LKF hustle and bustle for some relaxation.

I cannot fault Mandarin Oriental, it is certainly a 5 star hotel. The location is awesome as well as Central Station is literally just outside the hotel. There are luxury shops just adjacent to it as well. The staff were very friendly and welcoming from day one, and took their time to introduce us to the facilities.

The room was very spacious and clean, with good views outside. I would recommend taking up their membership offer on check in (Fans of M.O.) as we had free buffet breakfast for the duration of our stay on signing up at check in. As expected, the price is not cheap for this hotel but it is worth it (~$1000 AUD/night).

Special thank you for front office team for our beautiful room with lovely decorations. Especially for Konny, Anseop, Concierge and lovely gentleman at the main entrance, who help us for taxi.

Very pleasant stay. But expected at least complimentary breakfast. Which I didn't see. Also didn't see many options of Indian food in the menu. Rest was all good.

We booked 2 interconnecting rooms, they were huge and comfortable. Though we requested for rooms with quiet facing, the room we were assigned to was still facing the main road, hence the traffic sound can still be heard. This is our 2nd stay and each time we were not assigned a room with a quiet facing despite our requests. Not sure if we would stay again.

All staff well trained and had attention to detail. Polite and and ready to be of service. Staff were also genuine without being over bearing. Staff also remembered our surnames and addressed us accordingly.
Rooms were well appointed and kept in a condition befitting the brand.
Gym and pool were superb. Gym was well stocked with free weights and many gym products I have not seen in a hotel gym. Impressed at the Pilates studio too!
Lovely that the pool manager also provided me with a a glass of cucumber water after my swim.

Everyday, when I came back to the room, there was something small stuff that made us surprised and touched. It was not just because it was complimentary, but very thoughtful and in detail.
And the beautiful smile of the managers of the Restaurants and Bar, the robe that boasted excellent sewing and texture among the hotel robes I have worn so far, the unique room structure that is not similar to any other place, the comfortable bed, location, etc. they are very good.

Everything about the hotel was great. The facilities were of high quality and although the room was not particularly large, it was well designed and comfortable. The only issue I had during my stay was at checkout when there was a dining bill to the room (a fairly steep bill if I may add) corresponding to a meal I never even ate! I do not understand how this issue could even happen in the first place, but the team handled the issue in less than 20 minutes and I was on my way-- thankfully not in a rush. The sparkling water touch was nice.

I would like to express my appreciation for the service we received. We were there for a week and for all these days we were attended with utmost warmth. We were impressed to receive the excellent service from Housekeeping team to keep the room clean and comfortable, Room Service team to give us surprises turn down goodies every evening, last but not least a big applause to Food and Beverage team, Ms Peggy - for being so professional arranged all special menus for our special dietary requirement, thanks to Pastry Chef to bake delicious Gluten Free pastries.... Every need was catered with extreme perfection making us feel so important. I would like to compliment your entire staff for being so professional, they have been really very impressive in their service. And I would visit Mandarin Oriental Hotel again for this outstanding experience.

This has been the best hotel experience we have had in Hong Kong, possibly the best in our memory. The service was impeccable, exceeding all expectations. Each and every staff member was genuinely friendly and greeted us warmly. Although the room had a slightly dated aesthetic, it was meticulously clean and incredibly comfortable. One of the highlights of our day was enjoying a warm shower before sinking into the cozy bed, where we slept even better than we do in our own bed at home. Additionally, the complimentary breakfast provided a delightful and satisfying start to each morning at Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong. We will see you again soon MO!

FANtastic stay in Hong Kong with my family. Beautiful legendary place in the heart of Hong Kong. Location is perfect to reach any touristic points of interest.

Everyone was (super)kind toward my family and especially my kids.
Beautiful breakfast alternatives, lovely recommendation from the concierge office as well as continuous kindness from anyone else.
I will surely come back with my wife to enjoy the bar venues and restaurants.

To say I enjoyed my stay would be an understatement. Extremely coordinated, the staff made us feel at home instantly when we came through the door. Every need was looked after and it quickly showed that the building despite its age was extremely well taken care of. Though its competition may pamper, the MO definitely makes you feel human with the amount of extra lovely details personal to our stay. When I expressed my liking for their postcards and their (delicious) chocolates, there would be many more in our room upon coming back. Their service was discreet with no fuss, but somehow, you end up feeling like a VIP.

We really enjoyed our breakfast time at The MO Bar. Wonderful service of reception and a male server and the food so nice as well; but I am sorry that I didn’t remember their name.

We also would like to thank Ms Tramy, whose delightful smile and caring personality truly made our SPA introduction moment. It was sad that we did not have enough time to enjoy the spa and pool service.

We have had another superb stay at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong. This hotel is an old favourite of ours and has maintained its top quality service since we first visited many years ago. The Spa treatment was one of the very best we have experienced. Both therapists were excellent, very considerate and very professional and all Spa staff were very welcoming. We will certainly make sure we include a Spa day (or two!) on our next visit. Having said that all the staff at MO are world class making it one of the very best places to stay.

I have stayed at various hotels in Hong Kong in recent years, including the Ritz Carlton, The Peninsula, and Four Seasons, and I have never experienced such an unreasonable and insulting arrangement. I am appalled by the way your hotel treated me and made me feel like a criminal. I also felt like the staff looked down on me because I do not speak English fluently.
I had planned to have a celebratory trip and spent a substantial amount of money on the occasion, but instead, I felt like I was being treated like an inmate. I will be making a formal complaint to your parent company and posting my experience on various social media platforms.

It was the best massage I’ve ever had!

I visited the spa for a manicure. The experience was overall very lovely, service was very nice, professional and caring. Unfortunately my therapist made a mistake and cut one of the cuticles too close, causing it to start to bleeding bit after and resulting in a small infection. I would go again, but probably not for the manicure.

Would like to recommend this place for a professional thai massage in Hong Kong ! As i am a massage lover clean and nice

Been getting wonderful Thai massages here for around 5 years, and Khun Sasi and her team are lovely - I always leave feeling great and more relaxed.

It’s authentic and the staff are lovely and with a great sense of humour but…I came out of there and several hours later had at least 3-4 bites of what looked to be the bedbug variety. It was the only possible place I could have picked them up. My usual go to for a massage in Central but I will unfortunately need to avoid in future. For the rest of you, I hope it was just a one off thing.

the receptionist told me on the phone price of a 60min session when I tried to book a 90 min session. Then when I was at the place I verbally asked again if I will be charged the price $390 for 90mins and she said yes, then the massage honestly was bad because I kept asking for more force but it’s so soft like just touching my skin not really any massaging.

Then when I pay the receptionist wants to charge me $580 but I said you mentioned over phone it’s $390 only that’s why I booked. She didn’t clarify either right before I started my massage.

Then the funniest thing is she charged my card for $390 and then said she made a mistake and want me to present my card again but I just paid cash the remaining $190 - the receptionist’s English is so bad, her ability is also very bad, and very dodgy.

I would NOT recommend anyone to come. Shame this place is in Central Hong Kong - don’t want any tourists to experience this at all.

The service from LMO is impressive. We love the room set and amenities prepared by guest experience team . The canele is amazing we love it , we must say thank your to all of the staffs such as anson ip, Henry marine from FO. They response to my request and situation promptly . SOMM also high impressed us , the food and service are in top notch. Thank terry and king hospitality.

Fabulous! Superlative services, customer service at its finest. Beautiful premises, super clean and comfortable. Experienced and knowledgeable technicians, quality products. No crazy pressure tosign up for packages or to buy products. Worth every penny. Will be there again real soon.

I've been visiting Vida Spa for years. I go for pedicures, foot massages, body massages and waxing. Hands down best value for money you'll find in a central location and friendly staff. Will always visit and recommend to friends.

I've been here several times for brazilian waxing - I have super super sensitive skin and waxing is usually painful and results in skin rashes for me- but not at this spa! Their technicians are super good, waxing is not painful at all and my skin goes back to normal within just a few hours. Also, they are very nice and put you at ease! Their pricing is very very competitive too.

I went here for semi-permanent eyebrows in July 2014. I will never set foot here again.

First of all, the prices for semi-permanent eyebrows on their website hadn't been updated since probably the 90's and only AFTER the procedure the owner lady, Nigar, told me that the real price is XYZ, which was ~50% more expensive than I was expecting. And she was 100% unwilling to compromise, even though I showed her the prices on her website. She simply said 'yes, well, the prices in this brochure are the real prices' and I simply had to pay up...

Second, the eyebrows lasted for about ONE WEEK (it's advertised to last up to a year!). Thing is, they didn't give me any after care product. Only instructions 'don't swim and don't sweat for 2 weeks', which I adhered to. As a reference: now, about 5 years later, I had semi-permanent eyebrows done at Browhaus in Singapore and with after-care package my brows still look good after ~3 months, I had a touch-up just now, but i could've waited much longer (I went ahead because I was already there for semi-permanent eyeliner).

When I went back to BPZ to ask/explain, they said I could have a touch-up, which I had 2 weeks after the first appointment, reluctantly, because:

Third, the guy who did the eyebrows was a contracted make-up artist who only came in for the appointment - not a BPZ employee - and he was SUPER INAPPROPRIATE. I won't go into detail on this. Later, he tried to bypass BPZ by whatsapping me to do my brows at my house, persistently, even though I was politely rejecting the offer.

I only have amazing things to say about this Spa. I first found out about Nigar Qureshi and Spabpz when Nigar did my makeup for my destination wedding in Hong Kong (everyone in my family still raves about how beautifully she did it). Then when I moved to HK I came to spabpz after hearing that the ladies are the ‘Eyebrow Queens of Hong Kong’. Never has a statement been more true, I will never trust anyone else with my brows again! Their waxing is fast, smooth and totally painless!! Every facial I’ve gotten has left me glowing and stopped the harsh HK weather from breaking me out. The staff are lovely and you leave the spa feeling so relaxed. The only thing I haven’t tried is their eyelash and slimming treatments but my friends rave about them. Best location and service in HK - Highly recommended.

Definitely the most luxurious spa and service I've ever experienced. Staff is very professional, treatments are done on the top level. Amazing views from the pool, saunas and from private treatment rooms. Feel relaxed from the greetings at the reception till the end of the day.

The absolute worst manicure and pedicure experience that I have ever had. The service was slow, the girl seemed like she needs more experience and training and the treatments are incredibly overpriced. She didn't cut or shape my nails properly - two of my toenails were cut back really far, diagonally and not shaped and I'm still waiting for them to grow back properly so that they're not slanted. The nail polish was applied poorly and not cleaned up so it was smudged and on the sides of my toes. I booked in to have a shellac manicure and pedicure, which I have in London all of the time so I know what's involved, how it should look and how long it takes. I arrived at 14:45 and had a dinner booked for 19:00. It took the woman 2hrs10mins just to do the manicure and I have manicures every month so it's not as though my nails were in awful condition. She then started the pedicure. She started cutting away my cuticle and I asked her not to (for hygiene reasons, I prefer to have it pushed back but not completely cut away) but she said no and carried on cutting it away. I then insisted that I did not want her to do that but she said "well I think that I should" and just did it anyway. At almost 18:00, she still hadn't started applying any nail polish and I told her that I needed to leave so she quickly applied an ordinary red polish which she got all over my toes rather than just the nail and told me that I could come back another time to have shellac applied...it cost HK$960 (and that was including a discount because it was my birthday) to have a terrible manicure and to have her not do my pedicure properly and just put ordinary nail varnish on. She originally tried to charge me for a shellac pedicure but I reminded her that she hadn't actually done the shellac so she charged me for an ordinary one. It took her almost 3 and half hours to do a manicure and half a pedicure - I left with my nails looking awful and feeling very ripped off. Also there aren't proper chairs so I was sitting on a sofa the entire time, leaning to the side so that she could do my manicure and because it took her so long, my back hurt by the time that I left due to sitting in such an uncomfortable position for so long. Terrible experience! Complete rip off! Would not recommend.

Quick, easy, fairly inexpensive (for Central Hong Kong!) with great staff. GREAT location (right near the Central escalator) literally an in and out, waxing is professional, clean, hygienic. Your typical pedicure/manicure. They also offer combo skin/nails or skin/waxing etc., - to suit all your needs and discounted! Recommended.

Makeup artist Nigar Q is a master at her work! She does an amazing job on my eyes (her eyeshadow application skills are top notch). I also really love her line of makeup brushes, which are affordable yet highly functional. Plus, her team is very skilled and experienced when it comes to eyebrow shaping, I always get compliments every time I get them done.
