This is the single worst experience in Israel. The service was beyond terrible. 45 minutes to get a glass and plate, another 20 minutes to get silverware. Can’t figure out what’s worse, the food or service….total disaster.

Staff are just kids . They don't really know what day it is. The pizza we ordered came out exactly opposite of how we ordered it. The fish n chips are pretty good.. location is good but the lack of good wait staff ruins it

You can't fail with this genius can do with a pita bread. The menu changes from time to time, and the ingredients are fresh & full of flavour. Don't miss the oven roasted full cauliflower.

The food here was pretty good but didn’t wow us. The taste was there but the pastries and fillings were quite dry. I pretty much soaked it in tahini to make up for the dryness. Also, we split 4 pastries, 3 beef and one chicken. The three beef ones tasted nearly the same, we couldn’t tell a difference between two of them, and the third one (the brisket) was definitely the best. We also have the chicken, which was pretty dry, but that’s expected as they are using chicken breasts. The starters were really good. We got the salad, which was well seasoned/dressed and had a variety of toppings that added to the dish and we got the potatoes, which reminded me of a better version of patatas bravas from Barcelona. They were well seasoned and came with two delicious sauces that rounded out the dish. Overall it was the restaurant was really good. There are many options around and this is probably one of the better ones in the area. I recommend.

Everything in a pita is the motto of this street eatery. Any I ever ordered here was remarkably tasty. Very noisy. Have been frequenting the place for a decade or more.

One of my favorite places near the machine Yehuda Market. The meat is delicious baked in a stone oven and comes with nice little salads there is also a non bred option Wich I took and was really nice. There is a lot of seating areas inside and out
Visited in the afternoon so not too crowded but really loved the vibe! The food specially the mama roll is so delicious! Leah was such a sweet lady and gave me great recommendations.

Just terrible. I asked for water on a boiling hot day from the waiters who said they would bring. 15 mins later still no water. I went to ask the workers behind the bar for water, they refused to give me any and said the waiters would bring me water. Took half an hour to get water (we were also one of 3 tables at the time). We ordered 2 salads, each was inedible (and we are NOT picky eaters). I went to the bathroom and there was no soap so went to the makeshift kitchen (they were doing a renovation) and THE KITCHEN STAFF ALSO HAD NO SOAP!!! Honestly, been twice and was terrible each time. Will never be back

Visited this bakery for their French pastries and coffee late afternoon and sat outside in the shade.

Struggled to find a drinks menu, eventually found one in a serving hatch. The server at the window was polite but unattentive. Ordered a small latte, banoffee pastry, and a berry topped pastry. The banoffee one was delicious, but the base of the berry one was dry. Even with the small custard layer, it looked better than it tasted. The berries were proper tangy, though.

The latte was quite sweet tasting and not bitter.

Prices are quite high for the pastries.

After a specially tough day and several hours of driving from the south, we stopped at this branch of Japanika to pick up a late dinner.

A welcoming man took our order and another lovely waitress was empathic to how tired we looked.

They both invited us to sit at the bar while looking at the menu, and then again while waiting for our food, and we accepted gratefully.

Oddly, the bar tender wasn't as kind and when we set down the second time to wait for our food he rudly asked us to get off the bar if we don't order drinks (he knew that we were waiting for our take out, and our order did include drinks, but they were to go).

The bar had 9 sits and only one was occupied, yet he chose not to share his empty sits. How sad to see that despite his advanced age and the grey in his hair, he is yet to gain the wisdom that a little kindness can go a long way...

The food was as good as usual, we generally like the Japanika brand and service.

Don't get carried away by the good reviews from a year and more ago.
Bagel Cafe is not what it used to be. The bagels and the food are so-so, the service lacking, and the prices much higher than these justify.

I used to eat at the Miznon on a weekly basis years ago, and came for a nostalgic visit. Was very sad to see a different place.

The atmosphere was meehhhh, and the service so poor. Not only did they made two mistakes (forgot our order), they also put the blame on us, and placed the order as a regular order, which we had to cancel as waiting 40 minutes for a pitabread was way too much.

In addition, the food is not like it used to. Again, due to poor staff, the pita came out dry, at room trempature, with little veggies.

Finally, the place used to offer free and generous pitabread bites, with thina, and other goodies.

This time, we found almost empty disappointing containers, with very old plates, that look from the time I last visited the place.

It's a shame to see what this once loved place turned into.

Visited Caffit multiple times for breakfast because of hotel link, and sampled different options from the menu. I used to go there in the late 80s and the 90s, so also have memories about it. The food quality is very high and everything I tried was fresh and nice. The Jerusalem salad and the shakshuka are great. Big portions and lovely service.

I went to this restaurant with my girlfriend on her birthday. Firstly, we had to get our own menu after 15 minutes because no one wanted to help us. I walked to waiters three seperate times to let them know we would have liked to order. After 30 minutes still no one helped after which we wanted to know why. We were told by a rude waitress to stay “patient” with an angry tone which cannot be used on customers. Another waiter even offered us a mojito, but the damage was already done and we wanted to leave. Worst bar experience in tel aviv…

The waitress/ hostess, Chen, NEEDS to get promoted, given a raise, ANYTHING!!!
For context, I’m in a summer program, and today was a fast day. To compensate for the hunger, we went to this restaurant. Now, it was a fixed menu, and no one could specifically order something that wasn’t being served. I didn’t listen and still tried to order.
The staff by the kitchens were so rude, and they weren’t paying attention to me…
Except for Chen.
She asked me (in a very kind tone) what I wanted, and when I told her what I wanted but she didn’t understand me, she was like “lemme show you the menu so you can see what I CAN do” and then when she put it in I was like “pls make sure there isn’t a lot of oil in the process of making the food” (bit extra but oily things make me nauseous, so) and she said she’d tell the chef.
But this was… astronomically kind…
So me and my group were getting ready to leave, and while I never specified whether my food would be dine in or to go, when I went to get my food, it was ALREADY in a to go container!!!!!!! HOW?!! She couldn’t have known, but she was awesome and so accommodating. 👏👏👏👏👏👏

The food was not good at all. I was there with my friend and we were both disappointed with the food. What made it worse was the waiter... had no concept of service, and the employees were loaded talking and not paying attention to the customers... I think all the guests were looking for the staff as they all stood around the bar talking very loudly. And I'm not sure why, but the hot dish, even though obviously ready and not fresh, came out like 5 minutes before the chopped salad that had no taste and the tahina was just water with no salt and no lemon. We asked for a lemon for the salad, finished eating what we could, and paid, then the waiter brought out a lemon... again standing at the bar. I'm not sure, but I think the managers were standing at the bar as well... lead by example.

The place seems like a lovely place at first but the food was low level and very expensive. We were afraid to eat one of the meals because the meat had a funny texture. The service was not good but also not awful. To sum it up, the place has the highest level of kosher that may affect the taste and the price but you will pay two/ three times more than you should for that type of experience.
The food was very good - a lot of options including very out-of-the-box ones (for example sushi with melted cheddar - didn't test). The service was long and bad even though there was a lot of waiters and no much clients, and the place could appreciate a good cleaning..

Food is pretty good. Not the best you can get but it’s a good option. The shakshuka is good and the mini breakfast and pastries are good. However, the food is a little pricey. The Main problem is that it takes incredibly long for the food to arrive. They only have one waiter or waitress working for breakfast during a service. The bakery part is good and most pastries are handmade fresh. Overall 4 stars
Great little sushi bar with a nice selection of delicious food. Ignore the odd layout inside and go with the flow. We were a little unsure at first but the place quickly grew on us once the food arrived. Unlike many places with bland formula sushi, there are some creative choices with good flavor. Would certainly return again.

Went there with a dining partner who doesn't speak Hebrew. Asked for an English menu for her. Got a lecture on needing to speak Hebrew in Israel. Dining partner got up to use the lady's and as she is headed away the server asked if I was ready to order. When I explained that I wanted to wait for my dining partner to be able to come back and look at the English menu that the server brought as she asked, got another mini lecture about wasting the servers' time(restaurant only had three tables in use including us and two already had their food). That was pretty much the tempo for the whole meal. Mediocre food at a premium price served by wait staff for whom rude would have been an improvement.

It is such a shame, such a beautiful place, decent food, and the service and tables are rough. The workers are hard working, yet it seems the system is flawed. Definitely time for self reflection as a business if a large group of people complain. My experience in other locations has never had any flawed, yet this one time and time again there are many. So I can only assume it is some operational and kitchen issues.

But the views are great 👍

Great place very close to Machane Yehuda market. Kosher place.

Fantastic food. The shambushaks are delicious and very filling.

Wish I could give negative stars. Staff with an attitude. I couldn't even get them to take my money. I asked a staff member for the check and he told me he can't help me. I asked him to just tell the hostess whom he was walking toward and he just said, "no." Then he proceeded to have a conversation with her. The schnitzel was made from turkey and was definitely from a frozen package as were the fries. The burgers were fair at best. Stay away, food sucks and the service worse.

Fantastic surprise restaurant. Excellent food and service. Our tour guide recommended this place. It's the place he took his current wife to on their first date. It is not a romantic restaurant in my humble opinion. The food was outstanding though. We had one veal and one brisket Shamburak. A Shamburak is a kurdish-syrian pastry

Great place for dairy food! The restaurant offers a delectable selection of dairy-based delights. There is Free parking which is hard to find in Jerusalem. Finding a spot is hassle-free. Brisket was amazing. Syrian kebab ground beef was good but not as epic. The sauces and condiments we got on the side were fantastic. Could not decide on which beer and the server brought some to taste.
Ambiance is casual. It’s crowded and loud. There’s room to sit at the bar and watch the baking of the pies. Also seating outside.

We came for a sister's lunch hoping for a nice time. We were sat outside in the cold, the waiters constantly forgot we existed. The food was mediocre, quinoa wasn't fresh, vegetables were old. Every dish came at another time so we didn't actually eat together, one finished and then the other came.

Bottom line - if you have a nice budget and want to eat in this part of town, then this place will do.
They offer some signature dishes which I can recommend.

Pros: size of portions; quick service; quality of food; decent vibe.

Cons: very expensive; location has no easy parking; no meat dishes (it's Kosher).

This is a great spot for a very impromptu meal for us. The seating is very comfortable inside and outside and we were giving great service. We happen to be on the right timing for the business lunch, which was from 12 to 5 PM. The best was the appetizer, the pea soup was excellent, and so was the salad. I think the very best after that was the steak – it was cooked perfectly and hard on the outside nice and rare on the inside, and the wine sauce was literally perfect. The chicken pasta was a little weird, but also cook perfectly. Overall a very great experience and we will definitely go back. The service was also excellent!

I always love this place. I usually go to the branch on Emek Refaim street but this was an even better location as the parking is easier and the view of the botanical gardens is spectacular. The restaurant itself is beautiful, service is good. The menu is varied and my favorite dish are the Teriyaki Salmon Skewers served on a bed of basmati rice with green beans and peas on top. It’s something very special. The pasta is excellent and the kids menu is nice sized and reasonably priced.
Another nice meal! My friends had the French Breakfast, I had a bagel and specialty coffee, delicious all around! Great service.

I had a bagel & lox on toasted everything, my friends had a pizza bagel and a sweet potato salad. The bagel dishes came with a pretty good size, very fresh salad, while the salad came with a bagel on the side. Everything was very tasty! They also had some kind of peanut butter chocolate shakes they raved about. Service was pleasant and efficient.

Down from 4 stars to 1 star because the prices have gone up and the portion size has reduced by half. I dont mind increases in pricing but standards should remain the same or get better. I reached out to the restaurant via Wolt with a photo of a half filled pita and the response from the restaurant was "we have seen the photo and stand behind the dish they served". I guess I wont be going back.

We had to wait close to an hour to be seated, (and there were only 2 people ahead of us) thus costing 1.5 stars. This restaurant has abysmal service. Took 40 minutes to produce microscopic sized potions of food. Look at the pictures, 60 shekels for 2 bites worth of spaghetti? This restaurant is a scam and a joke. Will NEVER come back here.
Also, the waiter gave us some some grated cheese that he put in the bowl with his BARE HANDS. Shocked and gravely dissapointed. What a waste of time and money.

Our family used Bagel Cafe on Emek to cater our simchat bat and we were extremely impressed. Nidal, the manager, sat with us and answered our questions and concerns with patience and advised us on every aspect of the event - including which food to order, how much, even checking the weather on the day of the event, to make sure it was not too hot for specific desserts.

On the day of the event, Nidal and his team were right on time and everything was beautifully prepared and packaged. They went the extra mile, ensuring we had enough chad paami and helped us get the food ready for serving.

During the event, Nidal payed us a visit to check-in and make sure we had everything we needed.

The amount of food was perfect and guests were blown away by the quality and taste of the food. They couldn't believe it was Bagel cafe!

From ordering the food to the setup, Nidal was there with us, always friendly and with a smile on his face. His staff were all incredibly professional and pleasant to deal with.

Highly recommend Nidal and his team! Will definitely order again for our next simcha!

Mixed feelings.
There's both indoor and outdoor seating, a "smoking section" outside and the decor is pleasing, though it does feel crowded.
I ordered the fungi pizza and my husband got salmon shawarma. As entrees go, the pizza was a nice size and very delicious (though could've used more mushrooms(, but the salmon shawarma was a bit deceiving. It needed a side salad to round it out as an entree, and we had to ask for the tahini that was supposed to come with it as it was omitted. Also, the menu described it as being in "frena bread", and had we known that they meant "pita", we might have skipped it, for it wasn't satiating enough for my husband.

We were standing at the front desk taking care of our bill when a waitress passed by and tripped. Her tray flew to the ground, glasses shattered and a wave of sauce spattered my husband's jacket and pants. They apologized and tried to help dab it up, but the sauces appeared to be oil-based and the jacket and pants were stained. We're going to have to dry clean them.

I was surprised that nobody offered anything, not a free dessert as an apology, not to pay for the dry cleaning, nothing. We left with a somewhat unpleasant feeling.

EDITED TO ADD: I sent the second half of this review to Caffit's facebook page, and they contacted me! They apologized again, offered us to bring the clothing to the restaurant for them to clean and have prepared us a voucher for a free couple's breakfast! Now that's more like it! I'll let you know how it is. :)

4.5$ for a small capuchino.

Taste is 100% similar to aroma , nothing special.

Coffee is served in a to go cup. I was not asked if I wanted different serving .

Store does not have visible prices.

Service was cordial but not very friendly.

A cup of coffee to ... Skip.

Overpriced , Mediocare

I eat at my hometown branch from time to time, so Japanika is no stranger to me. This is another Great branch by Japanika. We came for lunch and the place wasn't stacked. The waitresses were kind and the food was great as usual. Had a great time.

This unassuming place is the original restaurant of a celebrated Israeli chef.
One has to order, pay and pickup the order and they have "patio" tables.
If you can, best to come before 6pm dinner rush.
The food is great!
We had the whole baby cauliflower which was truly "melt in your mouth".
The chicken liver dish comes as either in pocket pita or a plate (which is aarger portion) and their vegan mushrooms "shawsrma" in a pita (with many whole good-size mushrooms).
All these dishes are highly recommended.
The above plus two bottles of soda cost only I.S.141 which is great value for such a quality meal in the expensive TA...

This is a busy cafe that also offers takeout breads.
They only have patio seating and the tables are crammed together.
Coffee is OK but the pastries that we had looked better than they tasted.
They were out of our 2 pastry choices and we had to settle for alternate choices.
I found it odd that the server attempted to clear the tableware and cups on more than one occasion before we finished drinking when there was still obviously coffee in the cups.

Came to this place because they open quite early compare to the others cafes. It is relaxing to sit outdoor especially when the sun is out. The food tastes good, I love the bread. Also, they have friendly staff. I would recommend it!

Very good place for Baguette, croissants and cakes. Tried this time the half baguette with butter and jam which was very good and the classic oeufs broullees which were excellent, creamy and with a lot of flavors.
Worth 5 stars if you take away some coffee, cakes or bread and a 4.5 if you eat there because of the bad state of the bathrooms.

Nice café placed right at the botanic garden's entrance. Quiet, and warm :) this place requires green pass to sit inside.
Dish was pretty large and tasty. fair price as well!
The best sushi I've had in Israel!

I must admit I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the food was here. First the coffee was good and hot! The food was good. The bagels are ok for Israel. Service was good too! And they have baby high chairs.

Nice (not excellent but nice enough) food, comfortable and clean seating. However it was hot inside during Summer (ac is weak), and overpriced. 42₪ for a quiche with a small uncreative salad and 24₪ for a flavoured cold coffee (bean quality was just ordinary). It's a shame, because the interior is so nice. Not a place I would frequent or make a special trip for if I had a choice. More suitable for shidduchim, like a beverage at night when it's not hot.

I really wanted to give it five stars, but it took too long for our food to arrive, really long.
I would recommend to come on week days not to experience it.
The bakeries are amazing, good coffee, nice breakfast. I would try it all if I could.
We ordered Israeli breakfast, but other people brioche dishes looked much more interesting, maybe worth trying them.
They accept colu!

Coffee is bad. Food is not fresh, under middle quality. Table was dirty. Service that I got from guy named himself Kuki was really bad. Don't think I going back here again.

The food was great. Not too expensive, considering the quality of the , food, service and ambiance. The waiters were very friendly. The portions were large and delicious. They also had a substantial kids menu which is always a plus when looking for a place to eat out with kids.

The sushi was tasty, fresh fish and good rice. The place is very crowded and the sitting arrangement is not so comfortable. Also because of the crowdedness it was really hard to find a waiter at any point of the meal. Prices are reasonable and overall for a kosher place it was pretty good. Perhaps it’s best to reserve a sit ahead.

A really nice and intimate coffee-restaurant place in the middle of Jerusalem. Great, tasty and quality food. Service is friendly, fast and welcoming. Their green Shakshuka is really good! You can also have take away.
Enjoy :)

Lechem Basar was phenomenal. I was staying just around the corner at The Dan Boutique, and it's just a three minute walk.

I had the house bread as a starter, warm & soft, super tasty. For my main I had the filet, which came with plentiful veggies and roasted potatoes. It was tender and the veggies and potatoes were great, so fresh.

It was a delicious meal, one of the best I had on my trip. Highly recommended!

A chain of sushi restaurants. Located all over Israel. This one, in hertzilya is quite large, they have good seating facility. The food is Asian and the variety is pretty nice. They also have vegan options which is really good. Good to sit for a quiet dinner with friends and family

The place itself looks nice, bright and comfy.
Service was satisfying and fast, restaurant was empty as well.
As in food it was okay, the noodles are good although are just too full with sauces, although it's still worth it.
In the other hand, the sushi was horrific. The fish had a strong taste of as it was frozen and unfresh, the price also doesn't show any fair value, would recommend to avoid their sushi.
Prices in general are fair.

Definitely my fave breakfast place in Jerusalem. Great food and super nice staff. Tap water served in metal jugs which makes it taste coppery, but that's my only complain.
Bagels are really good, both served warm and those you can take to go.

A fab place with a great view to one of the main streets of Tel Aviv. A good service that comes with amazing food dishes that not only look good but taste even better.
I don't think I've had the pleasure of such great sushi in the last couple of years.
I'll be coming back here a least once a month.

Very good location and restaurant is well designed.
Service is great, professional and fast.
The Rib Eye Steak and Salomon dishes are small and pretty expensive (1 star less)
The Senya (chopped lamb meat in cooked bred) is big and very tasty, flagship dish of the place.

Fish Shawarma was surprisingly good, and so was the Cappellaccio. Service was a bit slow. Waiters didn't pay enough attention to us or other tables.
