Nice experience in Amsterdam with beautiful canal views

This fry stand is pretty good! There wasn’t too much of a crowd during the times that we passed by so we decided to try it one night when the other place down the street was extremely backed up. The service here was a little spotty and we ended up getting something we didn’t order. That said, what we got was still really good and we did enjoy it. The fries were cooked a little longer than other Flemish Fries establishments so if you like yours a little crispier this might be the place for you.

Saw a decent number of people crowd near the store, so was intrigued to try their fries and sauce. To my surprise, I was delighted by the experience. The flemish fries are perfectly cooked, has a great texture and retains the crunch after every bite. The highlight for me were their wide range of sauces. I chose the garlic mayo and it was great. On the flip side, my friends decided to have the famous "cheese sauce". It was a disappointment. They had to throw away the fries :( It was cold and tasted bad. I'd recommend the garlic mayo, truffle mayo and joppi sauce!

The food is okay not really that authentic (however I’m a Vietnamese so my standard is different). The space is quite pack and small so if you go with a group, highly that you won’t have a table. The service is also fine.
wanted to try out this spot since we were craving pho! this place is very small and had limited seats; i think it was 5/6 small 2-person tables. it did not disappoint at all, surprisingly the broth was delicious and would love to come back again if i’m in utrecht! super afforable for its size, it’s not that big of a portion, but for me it was enough as lunch.

We went on a cruise with Lovers Canal Cruises. During the cruise, our 1-year-old daughter soiled her diaper. So, we went to the Lovers Cafe located just off the boat. We explained the situation, and despite having paid for a cruise with this company, the person told us that if we wanted to use the restroom to change our daughter, we had to make a purchase. In this world, even the dignity of a one-year-old has become a paid commodity... Shame on you.
It was a dark and rainy night, so we didn't change our daughter outside. Our daughter had to remain in her own mess for another 40 minutes until we found a place with understanding and compassionate people.

I'd say the lemongrass chicken wasn't 100% authentic, but it was still very delicious.
Overall delicious food, would go again! Maybe not over over weekend 😅

It's a lovely place to eat, and the owners are such warm, welcoming people. You don't feel like you're going there to just eat but more like you're visiting a family members house.

No doubt, My favourite Pho in The Netherlands! Whenever I’m in Utrecht, I would want to come by for a bowl of delicious warm Pho! rest of the items in the menu are worth a try too! Especially, honey pork I have yet to try, sound delicious but it get sold out easily!
My happy place on Sunday! They offer great value and quality, even amazing options for vegan and vegetarian if you check with the staff. They are always so nice and accommodating.
I can't say anything about the food or drinks because I left the place even before ordering. The waitress has been rude to me since I came in, and I can read similar experiences in other reviews. I wanted to use the toilet and I was surprised that every costumer have to pay 1€ to use it. I found it ridiculous so I asked her for clarifications and she just said "of course everyone have to pay". I took my stuff from the table and left. Your decision to pay 1€ for the toilet, but not good for me!
Wonderful Turkish restaurant with a Turkish atmosphere. Staff was kind, and speaks English. I tasted the open buffet, which was tasty. Their French fries or chips were perfectly crispy and not hard at all. One of the best fries I have ever ate. Would gladly come back.

Very good fries with a wide variety of sauces to choose from, some tasty sides like the cheese croquettes and the chicken burger, and right portions. Good prices and good location. Worth trying!

I remember having a coffee here and a brownie a long time ago. But the brownie wasn't your normal choco cake. I didn't know where or who I was for 6 hours, but I will never forget it. Ps. I wonder if they are still on the menu.❓
One of the best place in area. The people working there are so nice, make you feel at home. You can get full plate of food less than 10 euros. Love this place
Very nice place , delicious food fresh ingredients , we had open buffet with only 22 Euros per person, more than 30 different dishes were there all are delicious 😋, I am highly recommend you to visit this restaurant.
Really lovely place in the middle of the town square, the staff was incredibly friendly and they even gave me one of their beer glasses! I recommend the chicken ciabatta!

We come Benelux tour in Holland. We saw potatoes and waited cash desk. Potatoes very big and so tasty but it need little more salt. I wood recommend.

Conveniently located and difficult to miss hotspot for fries! We got a medium sized cone to share among two people, with peanut sauce. The fries were served quickly in a classic paper cone, and the warm peanut sauce was generously added. Overall, I feel like the fries themselves were just okay. Maybe it was just the day we went, but they didn't taste super fresh and weren't as crispy on the outside/soft on the inside as we thought they would be, based on the other reviews here. The servers were super friendly, though - the staff happily switched to English and were patient with the huge line. The peanut sauce was an absolute knockout and definitely a must-try if you like peanut flavours/peanut butter, it was the perfect balance of sweet and savoury, with a little spicy (but not too spicy!) kick at the end.
We had a good time visiting this restaurant. We had pho beef and loempia seafood. We love the foods and also the coffee. The price is reasonable. Definitely worth a visit.
Pho was not as I imagined it would be from a Vietnamese food establishment. The spring rolls were also bland. But the shrimp rice box was the best I’ve tasted. The peanuts and coriander adds nice texture to the fragrant and well balanced spiced shrimps. The beef rice box on the other hand failed to leave a good impression despite good recommendation by the waiter. Place is almost always full, so prepare to wait a bit before getting a table. Other than that, the waiters are mostly students I guess, so they gave zero attention to hospitality.

Went for a quick bite. The Banh mi is damn delicious and I would recommend everyone to at least try once. And you cant have banh mi without Vietnamese ice coffee. They go hand in hand.

Highly recommended by our Uber driver. My 1st time having Turkish food. The Grilled Chicken was seasoned and grilled to perfection. Others on my party enjoyed the chicken wings.
Extensive menu made it a bit difficult for me to decide what to order😂The owner is friendly and patient in explaining. The Big Boy burger is quite tasty. Quality definitely matches the price. The interior is also neat and clean.

It looks like a popular place on the street, very close to the Dam square. I didn't wait too long, I was there on a Sunday evening. I just wish the service person was a little more friendly. Apart from that, it was a fast and warm service. The potatoes were in the consistency and I only preferred ketchup sauce. Even the small size is very satisfying, I could never finish a larger portion.

Op kerstavond patat met snack gehaald voor hele gezin, man had raspatat met snack. Wat zijn mijn kinderen en ik ziek geweest van de patat, moet patat zijn geweest omdat het enige verschil van eten die dag tussen mijn man en de rest de patat/raspatat was. Hele kerst verpest! Na paar berichten via facebook nog steeds geen reactie gehad van toppie. Ik zeg toppie is niet toppie. Wij gaan er nooit meer heen en raad mensen al af om er heen te gaan. Berichtje terug had wel netjes geweest.

We came here twice!! The fries were good, the sauce was excellent (I tried the cheese one, and I'm holding the medium size in the picture). The only thing, the service was a bit meh the first time we visited. I think the lady is used to tourists and does her job automatically (don't blame her, really, but makes your experience a bit less special).
Absolutely delicious, the best burger I have had in a long time. Also it was a proper Hamburger and not a beef burger. We also had a ham and cheese toastie and a portion of Bitterballen. Lush. The coffee was excellent too. Thank you to the team for great food and service. We 100% recommend Brasserie De Serre. 👍

After a long tour of Amsterdam, I went there to have a drink, the time they prepare my drink I asked to go to the toilet, after 5min, the waitress (brunette) came yelling and knocking the toilet's door asking me to get out of the bathroom, she thought that I was with someone! After everything were clarified, she refused to serve my drink saying that they have closed the bar.
I found out after with the manager that they close at 18h two hours after I came, no one was able to explain me why I couldn't have my drink, Is it because of the color of my skin?
Also she was very rude even if she was totally wrong, other people noticed the same in the comments

Rhodos, happens to be the restaurant of my Brother’s neighbours. It’s a nice Greek restaurant, the food was good and from the last time the ambience is also transformed.
The portion sizes were exceptional, we order 2 meals for 3 people. The side salads was great a well.
The salmon was slight hard as per my liking but could be the reason of being grilled.
Over all a good experience and also the Host Maria and her mon are so warm.

Heb koude patat mee gekregen, als dit in de spits was oke maar het was zeer rustig. Ook frikandel was tekort gebakken..

I had Pita Gyros and Pita Kipfilet. The taste was very good, and very close to the Greek standards!!! The size was pretty satisfying (2 for big boys and 1 for delicate ladies should be fine 😂) . I guess the price was normal according to Dutch standards. Preparation time could be a bit shorter in my opinion. Great in general!!! 🥰

The staff is good. The food on the buffet on the other hand is mostly cheap. You don't have a big choice of food and there are no free drinks. Also you have only 2 desserts to choose form. So for the price of €16 it's not really worth.

Good place with very good service. The waiter speaks Dutch, English and Portuguese at list. Explained to us the dishes and was very helpful. The dish was awesome, big and delicious for a good price. The local is well decorated and technological, you can order in your own phone by the app. I highly recommend this place for any occasion (with friends, with family, in a dating, for drink, in summer, in winter, all is suitable) they have inside tables and outside tables.

Had a lovely pie and coffee overlooking the canal, stepped away from the huddle and bustle. Cost 5 euros which is reasonable for a busy tourist spot in Amsterdam and very tasty, would recommend.

I recently visited this restaurant with some of my work colleagues. Really delicious and authentic greek food, one of the best souvlaki I ever had. Oh and you must try the ekmek kataifi at this place, I bet you will be craving for more!
Vriendelijk personeel, ze hebben een uitgebreid assortiment, de prijzen zijn laag, en het eten smaakt altijd prima! Het is daar ook gezellig ingericht, dus je kunt er ook gaan zitten eten.

Interesting concept, I think the food is alright sadly there is not much choice of food for my taste in the all you can eat sector. They were super friendly though and the place is quite cute and tidy.
Zaak is overgenomen door Chinese ondernemer: patat is perfect! Aanrader! In tijden niet zulke goeie patat geproefd in Zutphen en omstreken. Heel vriendelijke mensen! wordt efficiënt gewerkt dus nooit lang wachten.
Lekkere friet en vriendelijk personeel. UPDATE: na de overname is deze zaak niet meer zo geweldig. Nieuwe eigenaren brengen niet wat de vorige eigenaar bracht in de zaak. Laatst kwam ik om kwart voor negen met mijn kinderen stond er een gruwelijke oorlogsfilm voor 16+ op. Aan stukken geschoten mensen lagen bloedend op het strand. Ik reageerde nogal heftig ter bescherming van mijn kinderen, maar de medewerker reageerde nauwelijks. Ik moest haast schreeuwen om de televisie uit te laten zetten. Ze vonden het allemaal vrij normaal geloof ik. Ik ga nu liever ergens anders heen.
