I was amazed by the over view of the city from the top of the mountain. The place is excellent for dining with your friends and love ones. They served tasty food.

The beat place to eat pares here. Before i moved to another location this is my go to place to eat food. Back then they’re really cheap not it’s a bit expensive like around 180 pesos but the food taste the same which i really like. Even the place is isn’t pretty and modern build i still love eating here.

Great food with a great view. An ambiance that will help you relax and unwind while enjoying the many food they have on offer.

This is definitely a gem worth trying. Their Beef Pares is like no other and you will surely order more extra rice 'til you can't anymore. It's easily accessible via commute or if you're bringing a car, don't worry because there are lots of parking spaces around. Just ask the attendants for some help 👍

Still the best filipino food restaurant! My all time favourites are lechon ulo, lechon kawali, different kinds of shells, salads, halo halo.

Food taste was excellent! Average 500P per pax. The service can be improved (inefficient/ slow during lunch time).

Had our late lunch here. We got lucky since place is almost empty, with just one table occupied by some tourists.

The view is just amazing since you are way up high looking over the urban jungle of Cebu.

Waited just long enough for the food we ordered. Did not order much since it's just me, my wife, and our two kids.

Brewed coffee (3/5) They served it with milk on a separate glass and a sachet of white sugar. The only thing I don't like is that it's not hot enough.

Sotanghon Guisado (1/5) I just don't like it (my wife likes it though). I think it's too sweet.

Crunchy Dinuguan (3/5) So so.

Binisayang Adobo (5/5) I just love it. Finished all of it 😅

Pork Sinigang (4/5) Not the best in town. Still, it's okay.

Letchon was burnt. Impossible to eat
Rice was the best thing..
Noodle dish was second best.

This is the restaurant that made beef pares popular which is an anise flavored beef stew that goes very well with fried garlic rice. Aside from beef pares, their beef Bulalo, chop suey, stuffed shrimp, tapsilog, kiampong, and butter chicken are very popular too! Parking is difficult as there are no provisions for it but despite this, people come here at all hours. There's a toilet here in case you need to go. Take away is also popular

We love the view of Cebu City from this restaurant. It was peaceful and romantic. We ordered their shakes and ice cream. All were good.

We will definitely come back. I love the food, especially the sinigang na baboy that we ordered. Nasa pala yung sisig, haha. Making it unique, I know it's clean. The view is majestic, overlooking the tye downtown Cebu. It's breathtaking, always check your vehicle before going here. Check the brakes personally. The road is safe, but challenging. We love their kakanin. Best place to share with your Cebu guest or just simply eat out. I love the comfort rooms and the pwd access provided everywhere. They also offer korean grill experience. Parking is just enough.

The staff are really friendly but the food is expensive

They live up to their fame and hype. The tuna dishes were all amazing, but what impressed me the most was how good their lechon kawali and manok was. All their side dishes tasted great as well. A lot of seafood restaurants are weak in their non seafood menu options, but not Yellow Fin. It's definitely worth adding a few to your table!
Oh, and the Lumpia were perfect! Get those too. And the Halo Halo!!!!

Food was ok. Good for budgetarians lol. The sisig rice had a biiiiiiig serving. 6 pcs scallops hahahaha never ordering that again

Bistro Rosario's cakes are hands down the best! Other dishes are pretty good, but the serving sizes aren't that generous, especially given the somewhat higher prices on the menu.

Here's the lowdown on what we tried:
- The Butter Roll appetizer is seriously tasty!
- The medium-well rib-eye steak is decent (though now I wish I'd gone for medium rare, haha).
- The Gambas came in a small serving, around 10 pieces for Php500+, and the taste was just so-so.
- The Peach Walnut Tango salad is a definite winner!
- The pan-seared chicken with truffle sauce is a must-try, and the mashed potatoes were absolutely mouthwatering.
- On the flip side, the Carbonara didn't quite hit the mark.

What really seals the deal for me is the cozy vibes of this place. It's got that welcoming and snug atmosphere that I love!

Your 99 pesos is sulit & busog lusog! I liked the sauce of their barbeque and the unli rice haha. The prices are budget friendly; good for people (like me) who does not have enough money but want to feed their hunger. I recommend this place. Plus free music background because of the band at stage.
Negative side is that the place is not good when it rains.

Cockroaches roaming around our dining area (see video below), as well as near the buffet table and wash/toilet areas. When a waiter was approached, she just simply and confidently replied that they had pest control the previous day, which might be the reason for the roaches to come out. Shouldn't it be that roaches be gone/dead since they had the pest control?

They didn't make any effort to get rid of the insects, which was disappointing.

Superb taste of pochero. One of the finest and delicious pocheros in Cebu City.

We had dinner with our team. I love the place and their food especially the beef steak. Just that their waiters are not that accommodating. No smiles on their faces like they're very serious and we're afraid to approach.

Food was delicious and service was efficient. The ambiance was really chill as well.

Me and my family ate lunch here a couple of days ago. And I would say that there were only a few food options. The taste were mediocre at best (not a fan of how spicy and sour some of the food were), and the atmosphere could have been better.

American here..I like this place. They could work on their calamari..too thick and a bit too chewy..good sauce tho. The tuna belly was waaay too salty!! The eggplant thing was delicious. Fried shrimp was a little overcooked but good batter. Garlic rice was perfect. Place was pretty and employees were great.

Love everything about this place! Budget friendly, seaview, big portions of viand and everyone was so nice (the waiters even have good sense of humor) But the best part is, it's unli-rice and soup. This restaurant made me wish I lived in Cebu ❤️

The foods are very good, but it took them a while to prepare the entire menu even though we booked in advance. And the room was not prepared yet when we arrived so we have to wait for a while. Overall, it is a great restaurant to dine out with family.

The service was prompt, and the staff was attentive. We got their beef pares and porkchop rice, which I enjoyed because the pork was tender and easy to chew. I didn't see anything exceptional about their specialty, beef pares. Janet's pares, in my opinion, are superior.

Looks like a house converted into a restaurant. Sisig was bland and too greasy. The vegetables were fine and the halo halo was very good. Plain rice, only 25 php. Got there at 11 am for lunch and it was empty. Staff was friendly and polite.

This is a good spot for relaxing meals. The meals are also delicious and the staff are friendly.

One of the original and best parest in the metro, full meat pares serving that will satisfy your graving, bit pricey but worth the serving. Crowded during lunch and night time, attentive food servant and friendly security, limited parking space, Worth to visit for a real good taste of pares Mami experience.

Looking for affordable budget meal. And if your really hungry, try its Boneless Lechon Meal (Gutom) for only P110.00. Served with side dish (atchara), and a soup. Drinks not included. Just add P65.00 for their canned bottled soft drinks (320ml).

If you are looking for an authentic Filipino restaurant, this is the perfect place. Always been going back to this place because their food is always super good. Not one bad dish on their menu. The place is big, so you get lots of views depending on where you are seated. The staff are also so accommodating. They also have packages for events, big or small.

I went here with my family on a Monday evening near closing time. The food sa actually good and the food options was still complete. I heard negative reviews from other people, but based on our experience, it was all positive.

Yes maybe the desserts could have been better but the viand options were great. The pritchon was still crispy despite it being cooked a lengthy time ahead of our meal, the kare2 actually had a lit of oxtail, the pork calderta was tender and flavourful, the dinuguan was satisfying (not the best, but to be fair it was decent) and the chicken adobo was just right. The staff was also very accommodating during our meal.

Maybe it was because it wasnt that busy when we dined that all of our needs were met. Overall, it was decent.

We came here to witness a wedding ceremony. It’s a beautiful placed tucked in the middle of Cebu City, just a corner away from Gaisano Pavillon. Iced coffee was a bit unique considering it was drizzling during the event.

But the rustic and cozy indoor ambience is complimented by its very Filipino and nature-centric outdoor atmosphere.

There is ample parking space, but it is yet to be concrete so it’s a muddy affair when it rains.

Should you come with a senior citizen or a PWD, you may need to climb the stairs, so keep in mind.

Rest room is at the right side again via stairs and it can be slippery when it rains.

Food is good.

Great dining experience. Especially with the sumptuous food and great food options.

Food was really great. I'm Korean so i was a little bit nervous about the local restaurant, but definitely the best meal i had in Cebu. Also, the cook (maybe?) was really nice getting out orders and recommending some menu.

Eat all you can, not that much expensive,, food is just ok,, not that i expectedi enjoyed their banana in sugar syrup, in short minatamis na saging,,,

Theyre known for Pochero. And they didnt have the extra large bowls for ₱780 ( good for 5 to 6 people). But they had the large bowls for ₱750 pese ( good for 3 people). Sounds too fishy / like a scam to me .... sure make me spend more to feed my party of 13.

Made me lose my appetite and soured the experience of the food / atmosphere.

NOV 2022 - Not our first option but since the wait listin the other resto is LONG, decided to try CABALEN in Davao. I was hoping they added more bulalo soup, some food were cold and can be improved. Maybe it's a weekday so service and food option is limited.

Are we going to be back? We probably look for options next time.

We had a big family meal here with 10 people, they handled it easily. My mom wanted to eat here because she said it’s Duterte’s favorite restaurant.
We ordered 8 main dishes: clam soup, raw tuna kinilaw, crispy pata, adobo tuna tail, pan-fried tuna belly with tausi, pinakbet, shrimp in gata, and fried chicken. Everything was good, but my favorite was the crispy pata. This place has an excellent variety of dishes, the quality is well above average and it’s very affordable.
I only had a few minor comments.
Mangrove clams have more meat than other clams, which was too much for me. Make sure you like that sort of thing before ordering that dish. The shrimp in gata could have been plated in a more appetizing way. We were full by the time it came out and it got passed around without enthusiasm.
I also ate their halo-halo, which was tasty, but I sort of liked the version I got at a chain restaurant more.
The last comment is that the restaurant was noisy. There’s nothing to absorb sound anywhere, so it is quite jarring for someone sensitive to sound. I wish I had brought earplugs.
Overall, I recommend this place.

I came to Davao just to have tuna here, after I saw it on Mark Wiens' video. Walked here straight from the bus terminal which is just opposite the restaurant.

First of all, best kinilaw I have ever tried in the Philippines. They have half ripen mango in it which is unique, and they drain all the liquid away prior to serving making the dish taste very fresh. The ten hours bus ride from Butuan just for this was worth it.

I wish I could give the restaurant five stars but everything else they sell by weight, there's a limit of 400 gr minimum order, and as I was there alone, there was no way to finish that by myself so I wish they offered a smaller portion as everything was geared towards groups of three or four people.

Another fancy, instagrammable and Facebook worthy post Restaurant. Come and visit and try their foods. 😊

Spacious seating, mouthwatering dishes and courteous staff make this place awesome. Too bad they had run out of lechon kawali and calamares (that's one-two punch knock-out for my good friend who had craved for these food at that moment). It still was 6 PM I don't think they sold out that fast.

The first time we went there on a Sunday evening, around 7pm, they told us that they don't have rice anymore. It would take them at least 30mins to cook rice for us, so we just went off. The next time was today, Sunday, at lunch time. They still have food and we ordered medium pochero and sisig.

Pochero's beef was tender and good but the broth was too salty for our taste and oily as well.

Sisig was not the sisig we expected. It's soaked in some kind of sauce and taste differently from the sisig that we all know. It's serve on a hot plate but not sizzling.

Limited food selections and tasted just ok. Glad its unlidrinks now and not a separate order and payment.

Dont compare this to carenderia.

Cabalen is my go to buffet restaurant for lunch. I liked their choice of foods before but recently i discovered that they are serving almost the same type of cuisine. If you are not fan with drinks do not try their bottomless. They do not have sodas in can at the moment. Overall it was good experience. Also, use hand gloves everytime you pick some foods.

Still one of the best Pares in my honest opinion (the other is Jonas Retiro). Nothing will replace them as the Pares Kings. Highly recommended. Since 90s my father and mother used to take us here and at Jonas, until now, I’m bringing my wife once a month. Taste is still the same. Highly recommended. Almost all their foods I’ve already tried, one remains my always go to, Pares.

The place screams of “class” and sophistication…the food vibe was more of Hizon’s.

Coffee was served in cups fit for a queen. The clubhouse sandwich I had is nothing out of the ordinary.

Place: you could feel the festivity in the air once you stepped inside this resto. The place is spacious and clean. Very homey. You could dine not only inside the restaurant but also outside for diners who want some fresh air.

Food: delicious but quite expensive. We were all so hungry I forgot to take some photos of our food. The waiter delivered the paella last so I had the time to take a shot of it.

Staffs: nice staffs. Pleasant and accommodating.

I bought half kilo of lechon belly and it was really bad...half of it was FAAAATT!
It taste good but why do you give customers half fat of what they paid for??

Last Sunday at around 7:30 in the evening, we arrived at the restaurant. While still at the parking lot, the waitress approached to tell us that they no longer have rice and if we really wanted their food, we should just take it out. We asked if they could find a way to serve us rice and she said no with the explanation that it's a Sunday and they didnt prepare much rice because there are not many customers on a Sunday. Since we wanted to enjoy the pochero hot and fresh from the kitchen, we responded it's okay and that we will be the one to find a way because they can't or wouldn’t. While we were placing our order, she constantly interrupts us by begging her workmates not to go home yet right in front of us making us feel unwelcome and that she was doing us a favor. We told her she did not need to do that since their opening hours indicated in their website, Facebook page, and Google is until 9pm. She then insisted that it was wrong and that it's actually 8pm but even assuming it is so, it was still 7:30 at that time. So she continued to take our orders but hurriedly in a rude manner. What's worse is when we went on to discuss with my family on how many cups of rice to order from a nearby restaurant, she had the audacity to tell us that she will charge a corkage fee for the rice! We explained to her that we would not have ordered our rice elsewhere if they had rice or if they found a way to be able to serve us rice just as we did! A few minutes later, another group of customers came whom they had no choice but to accept because they already accepted us but the difference is they were asked if they can wait 15 minutes because they will still have to cook rice. It has become even more apparent to us that if they really wanted customers, they can find a way but they chose not to and what she did to us could be a tactic for her to go home early. No wonder they did not have any customers at that time and it also explains why the car that arrived before us leave without going in the restaurant. I am writing this review in hopes that the restaurant owner will address this issue because it's such a waste to have good food when bad customer service and lazy attitude of an employee outweigh it. Additionally, in just a span of the first 30 minutes we were there, we saw 2 baby cockroaches by our sofa chair so we had to transfer to a non-sofa chair to eat comfortably. Thus, cleanliness of an establishment especially a restaurant must definitely be observed at all times.

Sweet and Sour Fish was Microwaved to death. I wouldn't feed it to my dog! It was soggy and tasted like rubber. 100% Obviously not fresh! Utterly neausating food!

This sector has been hit with the lockdowns and we're glad they are still around! Offering the renown Capampangan (Luzon) culinary here in the south, they are among the wide dining choices anyone here in Cebu can try. I was probably expecting a lot since my last experience was before the pandemic in their Glorietta 2 location and it was great. The staff here were giving their best and observing the sanitizing/cleanliness protocols but the food can be better. Not much choices is understandable in recovering from the lost business especially from one of the most affordable buffet in town, but the "yumminess" did took some toll. Hoping to get the "Pampanga experience" when this new normal is gone!

just mediocre stuff, lechon kawali, chorizo, dinuguan, ampalaya with egg, ox tripe in peanut sauce etc. could have included ice tea in their buffet offer.

I was having dinner at Kuzina Guadalupe (Ayala Central Bloc) last night and ordered the pork ribs. While I was eating I felt something hard and sharp in my mouth, I spit it immediately and it was a big piece of hard plastic/ glass the size of a one peso coin. I went back to the stall and asked if there's a manager I can talk to, guy said no. He seemed very blur. So, fine. I contacted Kuzina Guadalupe last night from their number I got on Google, sent them a text message and no response. So here. Would never, NEVER dine here again.

Very authentic, safe place to eat and very serene and you will feel the exclusivity that you're looking for. GOOD FOOD!!! Worth the affordable prices really! A must try of you will visit Cebu City 🤗

For me... it’s a little too Highway robbery. Not so many food choices. The desert only 4 options.

The staff aren’t so attentive! You have to call their attention for at least 4 times! Really?

The sink isn’t working! The toilet is dirty a little!

Location is great amd its conveniently situated inside the mall, very accessible. The price is also very good considering the variety of options and food choices. Kids below 3 feet eat for free. The taste is great too. The only reason why i would only give this a 2 star is that in the middle of our dinner..a cockroach suddenly appeared from under the table into our plate. It was not a nice experience. When we looked at the floor where we were it looks like it hadnt been deep cleaned in a long time. I wouldnt go back specially if i have kids with me. Just didint feel the place was clean.

Worst customer service experience I have ever had! It's true that good food cannot make up for poor service. I think the management needs to hire people with better personality or customer service skills.

First time to visit this resto and can't believe there's a cozy and elegant establishment here in Davao. Chill and cool place to dine in. I really love the ambience, especially the table we got (the corner one). If you want peace and harmony while enjoying the food, this is the right place for you. We had pizza (4 cheese) and beer over serious convo.I will surely come back for more menu to try.

Visited this place twice so far and enjoyed both experiences! The first time was late afternoon to evening and I got to enjoy both the daylight and night views. Gorgeous! The second time was lunch time and there weren't many people that time so my friends had a great dining experience. Defo go there for the views.

The food are delicious too. They have several interesting dishes and fusion ones. I loved the pomelo salad and the sisig ni tatay. Prices are reasonable considering the location, views and quality of food. The servers were attentive and helpful during both of my visits. This is a great area for family or friends to enjoy the chill and beauty of Busay area.

Worth a Satisfactory Rating. All food are spectacular!!! through Pork lechon easily vanish in few minutes but other dishes are Good also.

We love eating here especially in their SM seaside branch. You can get a lot and be full even just with a few bucks. Super love the scallops and lechon👍🏻

I always order lechon belly from this restaurant. I love how they can even cater to orders made on the same day. Their lechon belly is very meaty, juicy, and skin is always crispy. They sell their lechon belly at 1,800 which is I think at 4kg but we never tried to finish the whole thing even with 20 people. All of their food selection is actually a bang for your buck.

their seaside branch is disappointing. my parents and i have eaten there twice. and both times, we've waited so long for our food, when we got the food, it was cold, we had to ask for glasses because they only gave us our canned sodas.

my dad complained because he had so little portion of lechon and most of the portion was fats. when my dad asked for another portion, the guy in the cooking area said, "sir, ayaw patakag storya." (sir, stop telling lies etc.)

Yes, buffet was affordable but that doesn’t mean you sacrifice the service. It was not even busy when we came in but there are no plates. So we had to wait. People started to come in and there were still no plates. Ever since we came in, no one refilled the infused water and we even asked a few times. Drinks have ala carte and bottomless. They are both priced the same 😂. I don’t understand why you have to ask for water when it should be served the moment you take a seat. I don’t understand why I should ask the waiter for another glass of water when they should just give your table a pitcher.

I have nothing against Cabalen but this is the second time and nothing has changed. Floor is very dirty and Kare-kare needs meat 😂. You are serving buffet, be snappy!

Pritchon was the best. And their bagoong is not too salty, perfect for the kare kare. The only catch was the billing. They had to swipe my card twice because they switched bills from other tables.

Not your ordinary bulalo. The meat is so tender. I also like their lechon kawali. Probably the best in town.

This is one of Davao's first fine dinning restaurant, tha ambiance is like an old beautiful house and their food has stayed great as it was before. Their staff is amazing, specially their head waiter that greets you very cordially.... KUDOS.

A nice, affordable BBQ. There is also a Stage that had a band playing music when we visited. The waiters were friendly and I liked the food. Don't know why some are complaining about it...
