In line with its name, Chowpati has a great range of Indian Street food (which includes from across India). The place is easy to locate and the service is quite fast (they understand Hindi also). We had a few Dosas, Momos, Biryani and we're even thinking of Pav Bhaji after all this. Chai is also available here. It's definitely a refreshing break for all Indians touring Thailand and longing for some Street Food from home.
Near Indra market, there is an Indian restaurant “India Gate” at the ground floor. Its food was very much like India. We had a lunch here on 2nd December 2023 afternoon. The taste and hospitality is good. There is an Indian market where we shopped in Indian currency. The rates are similar to India. There is currency exchange facility.
If you're on a hunt for spicy, vibrant Indian flavors in Bangkok, Chowpati Indian Street Food might be a pit stop, but not necessarily a destination. My recent craving for Indian led me here, and while it satisfied the immediate need, it didn't quite set my taste buds on fire.

Hits and Misses:

The chats offered a fun, street-food feel, and the dabeli, a savory potato and spice mix tucked into a fluffy bun, was decent. The combo with dal and paneer also delivered a comforting, familiar taste. However, the garlic burnt noodles and kung po chicken missed the mark. The noodles lacked that punchy garlicky aroma and satisfyingly smoky char, while the chicken in the kung po sauce felt muted and uninspired.

Keeping it Real:

Overall, Chowpati offers a casual, convenient option for Indian street food cravings. It's perfectly fine for a quick bite, but if you're seeking an explosion of authentic Indian flavors, you might want to keep exploring.

Perhaps below tips would help:

* While Chowpati's Chinese-Indian fusion dishes didn't quite hit the mark for me, their menu boasts a wide variety of classic Indian options. Stick to those if you're looking for more traditional flavors.
* Bangkok has a thriving Indian food scene, so keep your eyes peeled for hidden gems!

Chowpati might not be the ultimate Indian street food nirvana, but it serves as a decent stepping stone on your Bangkok culinary adventure. Don't give up your spice quest!
Tried out this Indian restaurant in Nana area. The place is huge & quite popular with tourists. They have a vast menu selection.
For appetisers, got some Samosa, Onion Bhajji, Pani Puri & Raj Kachori. For mains, got the garlic naan, garlic cheese naan, shrimp biryani, & butter chicken. And also got the Chai for the drink.
Unfortunately the appetisers doesn’t come all at once as the samosa came a bit later. Onion Bhajji is an off menu item, but it’s slightly too doughy for me. Pani Puri was just ok because the puri si slightly too thick. As for the Raj Kachori, it was the star of the meal. The taste was so complex in a good way and of course delicious.
Naan was ok, but would be great if the garlic cheese has more cheese in it. Butter Chicken & Biryani were also ok. As for the Chai, i feel that it’s a bit too mild. Overall it was an ok meal.
Ordered prawns biryani / prawns fry / fried rice. None was cooked properly. Very raw rubber prawns. No salt in all 3 dishes. Just managed to eat rice alone leaving the prawns as u can see in the picture. If u walk down further u find Anjappar restaurant very good I had lunch there. Regret choosing this restaurant though wanted to have change in taste.
Such a good experience to having lunch here. Good authentic Indian food and excellent service here.
Highly recommend here who ever come near centara water gate hotel
When I travel, I always go to an Indian restaurant at least once, and usually I don't go to same place so I can try other restaurant, but after I ate here I had to come the next day. The food was great, and the amount of each was great, I can speak for the chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, and garlic Naan.
One of the best Indian food you can have in Bangkok. Home like food. You should try on your trip to Thailand

It was a pleasure to do a expat networking event here at Maya.

We have finger food served and everyone loved the Indian bites with their drinks!

The attendees loved this space and loved the view of this place. I have been here before a few years ago and the food is very good here as well.

We all had a good time this evening as the service and atmosphere was very romantic and calm.

Highly recommend to come here of a nice evening out for dinner and perhaps some soft dancing,

There’s not much for me to say as I had a great time at Indus. The service was great, the food was on point, and the atmosphere was nice.

Parking is available but the parking lot can be quite packed as it isn’t too big.

This establishment truly proved to be an exquisite choice on the night of Deepavali. The culinary delights surpassed our expectations, offering an array of excellent dishes that delighted our taste buds. The staff were not only attentive but also added to the overall experience with their exceptional service.

The cocktails, although not our primary focus, pleasantly surprised us with their quality and taste. The ambience of the place was a blend of classical elegance, adorned with captivating paintings that added a touch of sophistication to the atmosphere.

One noteworthy aspect was the generosity in portion sizes, which unfortunately led to our inability to finish all the delectable offerings placed before us. The abundance of delicious food made it challenging to savor every bite, but it certainly left a lasting impression.

For anyone seeking authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine, I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment. It's an absolute gem that deserves to be experienced by all food enthusiasts looking for a memorable dining experience.
Good and flavorful food from an extensive menu to chose from. I had the veg manchurian and it was delicious! friendly and fast service.

This is the best Indian food restaurant in the entire Bangkok. A slightly upmarket restaurant but the food is all worth it. Dal makhni was out of this world. Staff was equally amazing especially Arun.
The approach to the restaurant was ok, the restaurant looked more like a huge hall. The service is good, food was nice and the staff was courteous. Getting this kind of Indian food is really good!!
The day we went had less crowd, usually I hear they put up buffet as well.
The food here is phenomenal!!! So flavorful. Great quality ingredients. Big portions. The best Indian food I've ever had!!!
Service is as great as the food. Everyone's very attentive and nice.
The place is clean and spacious. Nice lighting which compliments the food appearance.

My BF and I booked 5 dishes set on Hungry Hub, can finished only 3 of them. They do free-of-charge takeaway for the rest we can't finish.

The interior is very nice, the service is friendly. The food was good. Sadly they only have mutton instead of lamb, so the Rogan Josh was very tough compared to lamb. Also the medium spicy ordered dish was much spicier than the spicy ordered dish. The Mango Lassi and rice was very good.
It's just too expensive for the quality of the meat. We ate several times Indian food near Jomtien Beach for 2/3 of the price with the most tender lamb meat still on the bone.
As usual food is the best in town. Staffs are so incredible and so warming that words are not enough to say. The way they keep themselves engage with my baby that she loves it and even she enjoys the food.
The food here is delicious. Atmosphere is great. The home style fish curry is a must-try! The server is great!
Had an amazing meal at Indian Essence Art Cuisine, the food was beyond good and the service was impeccable. Our server was attentive and recommended the best dishes on the menu.
A top notch restaurant & a must visit if one loves Indian foods. Restaurant is super clean & ambiance is great too. The taste is awesome. The biryani, we had, was just perfect & must say we rarely had this kind of mouth-watering biryani in a very long time anywhere in any Indian restaurant.
We had a delicious meal here. The service was great - Mr Mohan was so helpful and added to the whole evening - Thank you! The food was so proper tasty - full of flavour and just delicious. Perfect amount of spice too.

I'm a big fan of Indian food, and I have to say, the food here is amazing. The garlic naan is hands down the best I've had around Nana. It's crispy and just so yummy. 😋

Sara was our host, and she was super sweet to all of us, especially my baby nephew. I'll definitely be coming back for more! 😊❤️

A nice Little nondescript Indian restaurant on a posh road with good food and fantastic service.
We tried the place for lunch. It's around 8 min walk from Ekkamai BTS.
The food: Food was quite good. We ordered Paneer tikka for starter, butter chicken, Goan fish curry and Veg biryani for mains and Qulfi and Gulab jamun for dessert. Also ordered bread basket. Paneer tikka was the best, juicy and fresh, followed by butter chicken. Goan fish curry was OK, they should have used a bit softer fish while Veg Biryani was v spicy even with Raita. Bread basket had Garlic naan, plain naan and Tandoori roti. Naans were OK but Roti was hard. Portions of food were generous and we couldn't finish all.
Among desserts Qulfi was nice while Gulab jamun had harder core (guthli) in it.
Special.mention of chutneys they served green, red and Mango chutney was really nice.
Service: Service was quick and efficient. Owner himself was around and chatted a bit and also showed us the place. He also showed the halal certificate of the supplier, appreciate him making effort to make customers comfortable. It's always good to have owner around as it greatly improves service quality. Staff was very friendly.
Price: Heavy lunch for 4 costed 2400+ baht. Not too pricey and good value for money.
Always delicious. Tamil/Malayali food galore!! There are a ton of North Indian dishes as well. I try something new every time I visit, and Dakshin has always delivered. The Chicken/Crab roast is divine (if you're into spicy food).

One of the wait staff (waiter) seems a little too aloof and almost always brings in the wrong order, but the rest of the staff are wonderfully kind and patient.
I loved this restaurant always. I have been here many times as it makes you feel you are in India as most of the customer you will find will be Indian. The food is awesome with its huge varieties. I brought some Thai friends here and they couldn't stop eating so many varieties. The food quality is very good and the service is up to the mark.

Great food and service at the same place. Different flavors based on Indian Food. In week days they have 2 complete set menu, vegetarian and non-vegetarian, Set menu prices are around 500-600 Thai Baht. Or you can pick one by one from their large menu.

I loved the overall experience. Food was delicious.
We ordered garlic Naan, butter chicken and mutton roganjosh, Gulab Jamun and Rasmalai.

The Gulab Jamuns are to die for.

The Rasmalai was not up to the mark for me as it tasted a bit sour to me. And the Roganjosh felt a bit on the bitter side . It was not bad the mutton were really tender and Scrumptious.

But overall it was yumm ,I had gone with a Peruvian fried who wanted to eat Indian food and she was really really happy.
Excellent set Thali lunch special. I went for the mutton which was great value at 220 baht. I appreciated the complementary snack. The mutton was on the bone, but I don't mind that, it was soft and very tasty, the curry was a little spicy, just what I asked for. Nice environment and the modern Indian music playing in the background was really good. Highly Recommended.
It is very nice to find authentic Indian food in another country. Food was very good me and my friend had a good time with live music and nice ambience. We ordered biryani and butter chicken which was very tasty. Would recommend India Essence Art Cuisine to others as well.

Another good Indian restaurant in town serving food in suitable portion with good service.
The staff well informed the detail of each menu.

The samosa is good. The taste is quite similar to Kari pup

Butter chicken is good taste and smell

Mutton is ok, not too weird for us

The 3 sauce is good for everything

The price is quite high
We come here to support our friend’s business. But we keep coming back here for their delicious Indian food and great service ever since. For this time, the food is as good as always and the service from all the staff and the person name Baosanthi is amazing.

One of the Top Indian restaurants in Bangkok. Infact this place qualifies to be one of the top restaurants in Bangkok across different cuisines.
The vibe, food, service, décor everything is so perfect that it sets you up for a wonderful experience.
We went there for our dinner and were welcomed with a very pleasing atmosphere. Live music that doesn’t come in the way of your conversations yet reminds you of the wonderful era of great India music from the 70s all the way into the 90s.
Great lighting, immaculate table arrangements, proper cutlery and high standards of service.

Food is just great. From appetisers to main couse and desserts everything is just perfect. Great Kebabs and curries. The breads are also made to perfection.
Choice of drinks and whiskey is also good.

A wonderful place if you want to enjoy a romantic dinner with your bae or even for a nice casual dinner with friends.

This is by far the best Indian restaurant I’ve been to in Bangkok. Sophisticated, authentic, and superb service from staff. I would highly recommend.

Palak Chaat was really delicious and also their Kulfi. Don’t forget the Masala chai after the meal. I didn’t see any down-side just be sure to come in hungry because everything is good!! 🤤
Ordered their Sadhya for Onam, The food packaging was excellent and the taste was so good. I was in food coma after finishing it. Have to say again that the food was excellent and highly recommend.

Top class Indian restaurant in Bangkok. Mutton kebab, naan, and butter chicken were so good. Did kinda have a food coma afterwards as it’s quite heavy/creamy. Not cheap but you pay for the quality and the venue (it’s a beautiful place). Will surely come back.

Top quality Indian food, thali are the best available option here. I loved the vegetarian options here, do think this was one of the expensive Indian restaurants around the city. however the quality and taste will the everlasting experience in your life. Very big hearted staff, they recommend their best food here. Their service was like 5 start restaurants service. After eating non-veg food around, was craving for vegetarian food, the vegetarian thali was the best. With the beer, it was fantastic. 👌
Service was quick. Also, they have Indian species for sale or home delivery.
Indian species gives us the authenticity of India.

Hindi old songs from 70s and 80s in the background was very soothing and relaxing. Enjoyed my lunch listening to evergreen Hits. ❤️

The food was just brilliant! The service by the wait staff especially Ram was exceptional. Really one of the best Indian food I have enjoyed in a long time. Normally not keen to try tasting menus as I prefer a la carte, but boy was I lucky to try their tasting menu. It was really great and the portions were just right.
The Champaran Meat (mutton) was simply one of the best mutton dishes I have tried! Kudos to the new chef Mahajan.

One of the best Indian dining at Bangkok with the bustling street view of Sukhumvit…Thanks to Rohan for the well catered!

* food was really tasty
* do try gajar ka halwa over here
Chowpati Indian Street Food Restaurant Bangkok serves exquisite and authentic Indian cuisine, covering unique variations. The prices are reasonable and the portions are one of a kind. The staff are conscience and very hospitable. I would highly recommend the buffet as it contains more options to choose from. Along with rhythmic folk music in the background. Overall, Chowpati Bangkok is not your ubiquitous Indian restaurant. But rather gives the diner an impeccable dining experience you can't get anywhere else.

Great foods & Good services (N’ Tee). My favorite menu is salmon grilled (medium rare) mixed with south Indians masala style. Specially… (N’ Man) nice combination and so smoothly cocktail you created. 🥘🍹🍰
We started early and the restaurant staff greeted us well. The ambience of the restaurant is great along with a lovely view Sukhumvit. The menu is good and caters to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The Chef personally attended to us and wanted to understand our preference. Complete fine dining experience. After the dinner the Chef again approached us for feedback and was very humble. It was a very good experience. Totally worth the visit!!
Excellent Sunday Brunch, very well priced for the luxurious meal they offer. The ambience is so perfect, be it day or night. The staffs is excellent here, they go all the way to make sure you enjoy your time at Indian Essence Art Cuisine. Definitely the most attentive staff, very impressive manners and overall demeanour. I so much like the sweet pickles they serve.
Good food, breads were delicious with paneer butter masala and mushroom curry, Palak paneer was à big noooooo. Rasmalai was decent. Papad was not upto the mark
Excellent Indian restaurant which I’d highly recommend to anyone who likes Indian cuisine.

Indus is located in the heart of Bangkok, in the convenient Sukhumvit 26 making it easy to get to with both taxi and public transport.

Ambience is nice and it truly feels like an authentic Indian restaurant. Service is good, although it’s apparent that they’re trying to push you to order drinks before food.

The actual quality and taste of the food is unmatched by any other Indian restaurants in Bangkok - I’d highly recommend it.

One of my favorite Indian restaurants in Bangkok. I probably been here more than 6 times! It’s a place with friendly service and great ambience. The restaurant is pretty fancy but you can just dress casually to enjoy dinner with friends or family. There are several menus I enjoy and I really love their naan bread. The desserts are not really something I super love, but still good I must say. Location is easily accessible with parking just in front of the restaurant. I recommend this place the servings are reasonably generous. I recommend come in groups so that you can order more dishes and equally share the dishes.

Succulent & Spicy 5 star Indian meal with exceptional service.

We’ve had 2 friend groups who live in different countries recommend this place, so we had to try it out. And it impressed me beyond expectations!

The tandoori chicken was excellently cooked and the medium spice was such a perfect amount of heat & flavor.

The butter chicken was superbly cooked, we ended up ordering 2!

Service was excellent and the ambience was superb!

One of my favorite restaurants in Bangkok for sure!

The one thing I couldn’t stop eating is one of the side sauces - the tomato sauce! It was given to us as an accompaniment to the papadums and I basically asked to refill it 3X!

Don’t miss this place in Bangkok!

A lovely dining experience with creative drinks and cuisine as well as unique, industrial-style ambiance and great city views. Restaurant Manager K.Shyam and his team gave thoughtful recommendations and are diligent in making sure you have everything you need for a memorable meal.
Dakshin restobar is one among the good South Indian non vegetarian restaurant in Bangkok. All types of Indian food( North Indian food and South indian food) are available here.
I usually prefer to have dinner from Dakshin. This is the only one restaurant in Bangkok which serves Kerala biriyani with jeerakasala rice. All other Indian restaurants serves biriyani with Basmathi rice. But the one with Basmathi rice is available here also.
All authentic Kerala food such as Pothichoru(only available on Sunday only), kothuporotta, kizhi biriyani, fish fry, fish Neervana etc are available here. Dakshin is the right choice for everyone who likes to eat Kerala food. The North Indian food luke Nan and all are also very tasty.
Since the restaurant is situated in the heart of sukhumvit, it is easy to get in. But at the same time, if you are coming in your own private car you should park it in the visitor's parking lot of Hotel Marriot Bangkok which is around 800 meters walking distance. And also don't forget to validate the parking card at the restobar.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is always quiet. But last time when I visit there is a sound music's going on.
The place is suitable to have small parties. They have facilities for buffet.
The staff usually speak Hindi but they can understand some other Indian languages also.
Phenomenal Indian restaurant. Definitely my favorite Indian restaurant in Bangkok thus far and will definitely be hard to top. All the dishes were very flavorful and aromatic (even the chef special corn of the day). The service was incredible — our server was super helpful with explaining and recommending dishes for us. I would most definitely come again and recommend the restaurant to anyone. Parking is available too which is a plus. All in all, i’m very pleasantly surprised by the incredible experience here!

I had a dinner here. It's is in Sukhumvit Rd Soi 11. Foods are good but service is quite slow. Staff need to have more attention to their customers.

Awesome food, didn't know this Indian restaurant is so close to our hotel woraburi resort, wasted 1000 bucks on the very first day ordering our food from woraburi kitchen, later we found Inteak indian food and ate there 2 times, great calm ambience, great food, you must eat here if you stay in woraburi or nearby hotels
Food taste are good..followed by a good quantity as well. Slightly overpriced but it's ok when we compare to other Indian restaurants.

Very bad taste. They use fish oil even for vegterian food items. Not a recommended place 👎🏿
Little pricy but good food. Very considerate staff too.

Ordered a side dish for a quick bite. They said 2 minutes. After 15 I asked them to make the order to go because I was in a hurry.
They ran around trying to figure out what I needed to pay. 5 minutes later they brought the hummus side dish and refused to change the order to go. They demanded payment so gave them 40 Bhat more than what they said and they where happy.
My take is to avoid the place.
There are good Arabic places nearby that are consistently good and have good service.

2/4/2020 update. Thought I would try it again to see if the first visit was a fluke.
Sad to say it was not better. This time I waited 25 min to get served and the food was ok. The individuals working there are ok. I think this is just a case of poor management.
It’s not just me. There are rarely people there given the excellent and busy location.

Food is really tasty. I had veg biryani which is really good. My friend had chicken biryani and he aaid it's good too.
Place is neat and quite. What else can you expect from an Indian restaurant in Thailand.

Good food. Little bit expensive. They also have sisha. You will find Arabian and Indian cuisine here.

Really good food. Massive portions (I ordered too much). Service was fast.
I can't fault the food but the 'Manager' arguing with her 'waitress', with raised voices, throughout my entire meal was 'interesting food theatre'.
My attempt to pay by card was not allowed (only cash). It world have been a 5 star review, but the service sucked. I wanted to give 3 stars, but I thought it was too harsh.

Do try their special Chai!

Good authentic Indian food. Already been here twice due to great taste. Restaurant can customise the food ingredients (like I don't like capsicum in Chicken Kadhai). Good chicken biryani. Fast service, serves hot food, reasonably priced. Would deserve five star if they take payment in form other than cash.

Located right opposite Avani Atrium this place was a good find, reasonably priced, and excellent food along with good presentation made it worth top rating, What I best liked about this place was the way they served, we ordered two Nan's and they were cut and placed in such a neat and orderly fashion that is rarely seen. All the serving bowls were shaped like ying yang , and I liked that, free papad was a rare sight in Bangkok. Overall a great restaurant and a must try. They even have delivery to nearby hotels.

Needless to say Food was absolutely perfect, and was a great place to have food.
