Incredibly dishonest and shady. Actively mislead and lie to customers. Left my car in with a flat and was lied to over the phone for two days about a tire being in stock. Told me it would be done within 24 hours. After 72 hours of contacting them with zero answers I decided to come get my car. The /moment/ I came to get my keys and take my car to another shop the manager comes out and says the tire JUST arrived and it’ll be done in 30min…during my wait I witnessed the clerk and the manager high five each other over convincing another customer over the phone to leave her car there for longer than needed so they either didn’t have to immediately attend to work, or to ensure her car was left there and not go to another shop. Ultimate shady. There’s 1000 other shops in town don’t make the mistake I did and avoid this place at all costs.
Really great customer service and very efficient and fast. They knew how to mount and balance the tires on my Tesla and was able to get me in and out within twenty minutes. Also, Sam cracked jokes at the front desk and made my wait time go by even faster , just overall friendly people.
Les and Dave really helped me figure out my car troubles. They got the parks quickly and got the service done in a timely manner. Great customer service and thorough knowledge that I definitely don’t have on cars.
Joe, the owner, is passionate about taking care of cars. As this was my first time to bring my car to Flamingo the staff and Joe took two days to assess the condition of the whole car. Joe pinpointed the problem that I was experiencing in my Honda and gave me a fair estimate for the repair. Joe kept me informed of each step in the repair and was able to charge me the lowest end of the estimate. The assessment and repair did take 5 full days and I now feel very confident in the safe running condition of my vehicle. I am glad that I was able to get an appointment and repair here and I will return here for all my car maintenance and repair work.

I went to this fire stone to get a new tire and an alignment the new tires fine but my alignment is still off. I tried calling the store multiple times. Nobody answered. I finally got in touch with someone from customer service and I explained the situation that it cost me more than $300 for an alignment and tire change. I explained that I was still leaning to the left. They told me that they can redo the alignment but it will still cost me hundreds of dollars. So in conclusion I would never use fire stone again. They do not take responsibility for their work. They do not answer their phones. This is what I call bad Business. But at the same time, this is partly my fault I should’ve looked at the reviews clearly they don’t know how to do alignment
Informative and considerate staff. The two guys checking in the customers are very clear and concise with how they explain the cost breakdown and the wait time. I sat in the waiting room for an hour and watched them service at least 10 people and they were very intentional to offer hazard insurance and windshield wipers to each customer.
Quick oil change with no appointment. Sam was great and the service was prompt and I was made aware of some services my vehicle needs.
This place is awesome! I had to get to work and let them know to please get me in and out asap so I wouldn’t be late. I was in, bought a new tire, and had it on my car ready to go in less than 15 minutes. I’ve also had tire installs and business with them in the past and it’s always been great! Free nitrogen fills. Love them!
Outstanding customer service. The front desk staff informed me that they were full when I asked if they could accommodate a check-up. Still, the receptionist volunteered to help inspect the vehicle to see if he could identify any obvious problems. I would highly recommend using their services.
Brought my car in because it stopped running and jump starting it wouldnt work. With a pretty general knowledge, we ruled out that the battery was the issue and wanted to see if it might be a fuel issue. The car was there for a whole day and it wasn’t until they were about to close for the day that they ran a battery diagnostic that concluded the battery was good. The second day, we called every hour for an update and and every time they told us they we’re just now pulling the car in and were going to going to check out what might be the problem. They’d say that they would call us in 30 minutes after talking to the technician. 2 hours would pass and nothing. All we wanted was an update so we could figure out what the problem was, we were pretty understanding that it wouldnt get fixed that day. At the end of the second day all they told us was that the battery was working just fine and it might be a fuel problem. It took them 2 days to tell us what we already assumed. Worst service in my life.
These guys are not competent. They represent the lowest standard of customer service. Couldn't get my alignment done because they don't have the aptitude to understand that tie rods can have heat applied to in order to adjust the components that fix the alignment in a BMW. They kept my car for 6 hours and waited till I went back to get it tand tell me they didn't get it done.
Professional team though expensive but it’s worthy. Tpms each costed 65 $ with installation of course better deal. The best thing I found here is about vending machine you can get coco cola coke and all drinks for just 0.75 dollars for 12oz tin. This is the lowest one I seen
The service is always great at this Firestone. Sam was very helpful and patient when booking my car repair service. He thoroughly explained each repair that was needed and worked with me to make sure that my car was functioning properly. I’m not an expert with understanding car parts so it was a blessing to have such a knowledgeable person help me understand the repair and the cost. Plus, Sam helped me to get bundle deals to save some money on the repair cost with my Firestone Credit Card. Great Service. Timely repairs. 10 out of 10 definitely recommend them for all you car repair needs.

I will not be back to this location. I brought my car in for oil change/maintenance and a nail in my tire. I never received a call that my car was ready, so the next day I called and asked and sure enough it was. They said they didn’t have a number for me- I had actually given it twice and the next time I dropped it off they were able to search me by my number so I knew they had it. When I went to pick it up, I asked if they had replaced/patched the tire. He said they didn’t do anything other than rotate them. I reminded him that’s why I brought it in so he said he had to keep it longer. I came back a second time to pick it up and he let me know there is no nail so they didn’t do anything again other than add air. I asked didn’t you rotate them, so wouldn’t it be in a different spot? He said they checked them all (I could tell he was lying) whatever- I leave because I was already fed up. A few days later my air pressure light comes on so I bring it back. I let him know the nail is STILL there please fix it. The employee acted baffled and tried to tell me “well last time you told us it was the front tire” I reminded him yes, you rotated them!!!!! Sure enough I get a call “well yep looks like there was a nail in there” I said I KNOW THATS WHY I BROUGHT IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. That was never up for debate. I get in the car and the low pressure light is on. They hadn’t aired them after the patch. They gave me an attitude the entire time and refused to believe that I had a nail in my tire for whatever reason which caused me to go back THREE times. Elezar Paradise is the employee who “helped” me. If you choose to receive service here, I would advise you to ask for a different employee to help with your car. Terrible, terrible service. Waste of time and Uber $ getting to and from this place.

You don't usually hear "trustworthy," "caring," and "taking the long view" about a mechanic shop. But I've trusted my cars to Flamingo Automotive since 1991, and they've proved themselves all of that. I'm moving away, and I doubt I'll ever find another mechanic like it. But what a great run! Great service
Was convenient but eventually they stripped my oil drain bolt and that led to them damaging my car. I bought the car new, and they were the only shop ever to do oil changes on it. When they couldn't remove the drain bolt, they told me they would change the oil pan, but they didn't say that it required the removal of an exhaust manifold. They are not competent even to do that simple level of mechanical work, and should not have done it. The car ended up with a bad exhaust leak, which after multiple times bringing the car back they somehow improved a bit, but it still sounds bad and smells of exhaust when idling cold (definitely more than what would be normal). Not sure how I will fix this but not planning to let them work on it again because they will probably make it worse.
This place tried to say that I have to replace my tie rods whenever I am going to replace the power steering motor when it's two different parts of a vehicle and they don't have anything to do with each other.
Edit: To Nicolas, I'm not going to email a flake email address and what I needed fixed on my girlfriend's vehicle is just the power steering motor and I know for a fact that tie rods and power steering motor are completely different from each other. I worked for a few years with a mechanic and I saw him install a power steering motor without touching the tie rods. The person I spoke with tried to scam me and my girlfriend and that's why I gave you a 1 star.

Giving 2 stars because the staff here is kind, however my vehicle was damaged at this location. I brought my car in for a tire repair and the team conducted a "complimentary engine check" that I did not ask for nor consent to. Immediately after getting my vehicle back it began to shake when in turned on. Two days later the check engine light came on, and four days later the car stopped driving. I had to spend over $200 for a repair at another shop just to find there was nothing wrong with it, the guys at Firestone just don't know how to look in the engine without triggering system malfunctions. When I asked for them to look at the vehicle, they said they don't have a mechanic on staff.
Invested $1,389.84 in this owner-operated shop for new clutch install on VW Tiguan. Less than 2 weeks later, noticed the clutch was not operating correctly. Told management about it, they added fluids and told me it was OK. Over the next 3 months, sporadically had same issue. One day, in ***Austin morning rush hour traffic*** driving to work on MOPAC lost gears, could not switch because of the clutch!!!!!The SAME DAY I called in to speak to the owner, Joe about what happened on Mopac he said he did "not have the time for my vehicle". Now, 1 year later...found out they assigned a tech, who ordered cheap parts ($200 spent on parts) the rest was for “labor”. Joe has finally offered to fix (what they did) for an estimated $1,200 to start. This was supposed to be an ordinary Volkswagen job (their specialty) it’s not like it was a Lotus.

I love fishing at the point or adjacent beach that is close to the marina. I don't catch large fish, mostly pan fish. End up throwing them back though. No keepers. I do catch fish, so it's a win. Everyone is friendly and polite. All seem to enjoy their surroundings.
I have to give them 3 stars. But honestly, it should be closer to 1 star. Matter of fact, I'm changing it to 2 stars and here's why. I scheduled a appointment for 8 am for an oil change and to install a compressor belt. Now, they said they had to send off for the belt. It took a couple of hours for the belt to come, cool. It took 5 minutes to put the belt on. The problem I have is, they let the car sit there waiting on the belt to arrive, and didn't do the oil change. That's bad management, and that's why their rating is so low. It's all about management.
My son is going to school in Austin and we live in Dallas. Found Flamingo due to good reviews and Joe and his team did not disappoint. They were able to fix my sons car for less than what was quoted. Joe and his team probably the most honest mechanic we have dealt with ever. Can not tell Joe thank you enough for his service and help. Would recommend his shop to anyone. Thanks again Joe

One of the best experience I’ve had at a shop recently. The guys here are friendly and treated every customers with respect and they were very articulate with explaining everything. Everyone in the shop are older so they are mature and spent no time playing around unlike other shops were they hire young 18 year olds that spend time playing around and work not don’t correctly. Here at this Olin Mott location, I brought my car in for an alignment and it was fixed right the first time ; I was elated since this normally doesn’t happen at other shops I’ve been too (like Discount Tire for example). Will definitely come back and bring more business to these guys. This place was recommended by another great place that I deal with so that goes to show.

I purchased a battery for my car. It didn't work correctly, so they replaced it. Then, it still didn't work correctly. They told me to take it to the Toyota dealership to get the codes read. I did and that costs about $200. Toyota told me that Firestone sold me a battery that doesn't work in my car. Firestone refuses to refund me for having to get the code read (though it was their fault that they sold me something that doesn't work for my car.) I had recently spent quite a bit there, and it would have been in their best interest to make it right. I will not be returning.

I used to be in the business of car, truck and equipment repairs. From a technician to a regional manager. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The manager Jason was very nice honest and explained everything to a tee. Grady the transmission builder and trouble shooter was an expert. He could articulate exactly what was happening with my transmission and what and and how it needed to be troubleshooted. He seemed to know exactly what was wrong and were to look and test. Jason said they may be able to check it out over a 3 to 5 day window. He called me after two days and the transmission was fixed. He explained what was wrong and my problem was fixed. I have been building this show car for 7 years. 1966 chevelle convertible Resto Mod. The repair cost was very reasonable and I felt very comfortable with the whole process. Knowing what I know and how I conducted business in this field years ago I will be bringing my car and family vehicles to them for repairs.
So, I had front brake work done by this shop back in January 2023 and they were so kind and reasonable. They informed me that the back brakes would most likely need attention within the next 6 months. Unfortunately I don't live in Tampa so I got an estimate in Orlando that was double what this place charged me. So I called Jeffrey to ask his opinion. He was so generous with his time and explained all the pricing to me. We came to the conclusion I was being way over charged. I really appreciate this. Jeffrey went above and beyond and I'm not even a regular client. But I'm thinking about driving the 1.5 hrs just to be one!!
Hesston Auto Repair and Brian helped me and my family out of a jam during a road trip. We broke down at a truck stop, and limped over to his shop the next morning with a dead alternator.

Great work being done here I drove 12 hours to get my car tuned and it was 100% worth every bit...I put a turbo kit on my car and got Ruben to reflash my ECU helping me go from 119whp to 250whp in the bink of an eye!!! So blessed and will be back for future tunes.
I am pass happy with the services completed on my Vehicle. John & Jason were always very honest didn’t make any promises & told me exactly what they could & couldn’t provided me. They were friendly & communicators that stayed on top of their jobs.

Have helped us through two Volkswagen Jetta issues. Been super friendly and helpful. Even though I know nothing about cars they break down the issues to where even I could understand. And while the whole place is super professional and great with the service, I want to give an extra shoutout to Jason, who has been instrumental in both of the car repairs.
Called with several questions and concerns regarding my transmission. To make a long story short, Jason was able to assist me over the phone and didn’t try to sell me on any parts or services. We spoke on and off for a few days until the proper repair was made. Parts and availability were a major issue but we were able to take care of it after a lot of diagnosing and effort. I will definitely use them in the future and highly recommend them as they will not try to sell you on things you don’t need.

My college daughter has transmission issues. I live in Boston. They communicated with me throughout the process of replacing the transmission. Jason and staff were great the entire time. They even followed up two weeks after to make sure all was well. Very happy and satisfied!
Took my bike in to be tuned called ahead talked to the guy made an appointment I get there and they won’t do it wouldn’t recommend I won’t be wasting my time with them anymore

I’m updating my rating now based on the quality of actual vehicle maintenance provided. I took two different cars here for state inspections and oil changes, perhaps the most basic of maintenance services. One vehicle I needed for a long road trip not long after my visit.
Upon arrival at my destination after 8 hrs on the road, I discovered oil dripping from under the vehicle. I then spent an afternoon investigating the source and cleaning up the mess. Ultimately washed about half a quart of oil out of the engine compartment where it was spilled by the tech near the oil filter housing. Rechecked oil fill level several times before my return trip, and appears to be stable. We’ll see what my regular mechanic finds.
On the second vehicle, I returned home to find another oil slick in my garage, pics included. This time it appears to be a loose drain pan plug, which was barely finger tight in the pan (I was easily able to turn it with oily fingers). I tightened it with proper torque and will continue to check the level. The only silver lining here is the car with the loose drain plug wasn’t the one I drove 1,000 mi round trip. Would’ve left me stranded in East TX at a minimum and easily could’ve ruined an old car we love.
Called and got the run around, so here I am...
If anyone at Firestone wants to try to make this right, I’d be happy to reconsider my review. Meanwhile, buyer beware.

I have fished from the docks in the fall for panfish while and after boats were removed. It was much appreciated that fisherman were allowed to do so. It is my understanding that there are now signs for “no fishing” from the docks. Just checking to see if this is indeed the case. It would be unfortunate to have another means of access to good fishing be eliminated.

Ismael does a awesome job. He did a custom box for my Motocycle. Fiberglass music came out excellent he also painted my tank. I see him doing all kinds of bikes and slingshots and cars. Very up front and price is fair a good man. Five Star work.
Connie and Dean (marina owners) are hardworking and always fair. The marina looks better than it ever has due to their efforts, attention to detail and continual updating. We've been a part of this marina for nearly 30 years and 3 previous owners....so we have plenty of history with this business. It's not only a great marina but is also being managed so very well.
We have been coming to this marina for almost 20 years and have multiple generations of family who have enjoyed it for even longer. Connie and the newer ownership are fantastic to work with, and have the marina looking nicer than ever. They are passionate about creating a nice, clean, family friendly establishment and are exceeding expectations in all facets.

We have kept our boat in the Wabasha Marina for 15 years. This present owner (Connie) has been very attentive to our needs and suggestions as well. The excellent head mechanic (Jason) keeps our boat in tip-top running condition. Everyone is helpful and attentive to our boating needs. The marina is also quiet and filled with nice people. We love it there and have no complaints. We are looking forward to next summer at the Wabasha Marina:))
