This resort is amazing! My family and I were traveling home from Florida and decided to stop and spend a couple days unwinding. This was my families first time coming to Piney River, and we most definitely will be coming back! The staff was so nice. We got a waterfront spot with our RV, and it was so relaxing, I didn’t want to leave. We got to tour the tiny homes, and glamping tents as well, and they are SO CUTE and so roomy. Can’t wait to visit again!
Enjoyed my stay! Shower/bathrooms were nice! The RV crowd needs to walk their dogs away from camp/ cabin sites where barking becomes a nuisance! Very nice having a shuttle service to get in and out of town for a great time!
Vacation | Family
We had a nice quiet stay. The place was pretty full and they pack the campers in but we didn’t have any issues or or problems. Great location. Food was nearby and location is close to downtown
Beautiful resort in a prime area . The cabins were very well laid out and spacious. The rv sites were large and easy to manuver.
The service on the other hand was shockingly the opposite.
We booked two nights with 5 rv sites and one cabin but had a huge mechanical breakdown moments into our trip . We had just booked the day before and tried to call to postpone a day . No answer . We left an email explaining we would only arrive a day later than expected .
Upon arrival we were asked to pay again and our first night was non refundable. Not 48 hour notice . We didn’t even book it 48 hours prior .
We pleaded to have our day switched as a credit , a partial discount , anything .
No regard for our situation .
They said they couldn’t rent our site .
Funny story we had to change sites because there was someone on ours that had paid for late check out .
Wait a second …….
Are you following the untruth here .
To top it off our cabin wasn’t ready until almost 5 pm . We checked in at noon with our 5 trailers .
Still no discount .
So if we are late we lose and if they are late we still lose.
Great way to run a business. !
Zero empathy .
Even a credit for a future date would have kept us coming back because other than terrible customer service it’s pretty perfect .we will check out early and never be back .
Even wanted to charge us a late check out fee to stay until 1 pm to pick up our vehicle in the shop three hours away .
In a time where extra spoils are not a priority and companies are fighting to win customer that have disposable income , I find it imploring that anyone would so easily give up 2000 annual residual passive income .
Perhaps a focus on guest experience and retention could really make this resort memorable for more than a sour face at check in .
It is very clear they have no vested interest in the success or failure of this park .
As a business owner I have more than my share of terrible staff but you will never find the gems if you let the dull rock weigh you down .
Joe and I loved our stay in Piney River RV Park! Aaron is awesome...Harley is a very sweet person. Everyone that works there is so very friendly and helpful! If we ever come through this way or even close this is the RV park to stay at. The RV lots down by the river are wonderful to relax and forget about all of the stressful things in life! It is SO peaceful!
Thank you for all you did to make our stay exactly what we needed! And the twin baby goats we got to feed just added another reason why we love this park!
Honestly this is such a beautiful place! From the landscape and the river to the people and amenities! More charm packed into a a cozy Middle-Tennessee farm! Enjoy great friends and food outdoors on the provided picnic table. Take a nightly stroll or feeding carrots to the local horses and goats. Floating down the piney river on a tube or light a fire in the provided firepits!

We had the pleasure of staying in this place coming and going over a year while working in the area. We even took a night away in one of the yurts! It was perfectly equipped for a glamping tent! We did not stay in a cabin but plan to rent one in a few weeks! I'm sure it will be just as nice.

The park has been under renovation the past year while the crew adds a new store, office space, pool and laundry! Plus quite a few new spaces coming!

It is nice to see the owners investing so much into the property turning it truly into a Resort! A note for travelers....the road can be a bit difficult to travel. The manager gives you directions on how to arrive....I recommend following them! Also there are some uneven gravel sites but it is my understanding some of those will be updated to concrete eventually! The wifi worked well but know it is remote....may be a good idea to plan to unplug! The electric and water were typical for middle TN. I recommend having bottled water and/or a decent filter.

This place is special! I know we will be back through! Thank you so much for your care while we were in the area!!! Highly recommend!!!!

This is a nice resort if you want to rest and relax. Horses and goats are in a field next to campground and fun to watch. River across a small street and also relaxing to go and watch. Kids were swimming in the river. Getting there is a little problematic. Trees are not trimmed and we hit several branches (motorhome). It is a in the middle of nowhere and we could not pickup any tv stations. They are currently renovating and Ithink it will be very nice once finished.

We had excellent service from the time we checked in and until we left. The grounds are keep immaculately clean even with the amount of RVs coming in and leaving. All the staff were friendly, the pool/hot tub area was nice and clean. Couldn't have stayed at a better place. Also the offerings in the office were great for ice/beer/drinks/snacks. Unfortunate the cook was ill otherwise we probably would have eaten there too.
Older campground with many messy/cluttered campsites. Dog fences with Poop laying around. Might
Consider some neatness rules to be a more attractive and inviting park.

We love this place! The spots by the river are gorgeous. If you book a spot on the river you can’t go wrong with which spot you pick. They are all beautiful. Steps from the river.

The staff: they are remarkable. This past trip I arrived with a broken foot, on crutches, and an extra nail in a RV tire which started to leak as soon as we parked. I called the office the following morning to ask for assistance. Within 30 minutes my flat was repaired by their staff!

With a broken foot and cast it made my life so much easier. Love this place and the staff! Thanks so much Piney for another fabulous trip!
This place is a joke called for reservations was told they don't let pop up trailers camp there even though I'm fully self contained then they wanted me to send them pictures of my camper never ran into this situation before sounds like they discriminate on type of trailer you have go elsewhere
Cabins were very clean, spacious and affordable for what was offered. They have thought of everything. The staff was very friendly and would randomly stop by just to see that everything was okay. We were a large group and it was all effortless to have a good time. We will definitely come back on our next Nashville trip. Shout out to Bill for being so kind and attentive.
Stayed here in our 23' travel trailer for two nights on our way back from Florida to Minnesota. The park was very full, the roads are a little narrow and the sites are somewhat close together. But the park itself is in a great location. Its very close to downtown as well as having lots of dining and shopping nearby. There is bus transportation from the park to downtown Nashville (drops off at the Country Music Hall of Fame) for $10 per person. Highly recommended vs. dealing with parking downtown. We also enjoyed live entertainment in the park in the evenings which was fun. The restrooms were clean and the staff was pretty helpful and gave us some good recommendations. May not be the quietest park but if you are coming to enjoy Nashville its a great place to camp. We would stay here again.
Great and convenient campground! We stayed a night in one of the smaller cabins. It was very clean and cozy. Had everything we needed. Also, the bathrooms were the nicest I've used at a campground. The showers are relatively private, clean, tiled, with instant hot water and FREE! I recommend staying here for your next Nashville trip 👍

Absolutely love it here. Nice, quit, friendly, family like place. They treat everyone here like family.
We had a last minute trip and decided ro tent camp here on our way. The campground is beautiful and the staff were pleasant. There are several dog parks, pool, hot tub and a plethora of activities. It is very close to the highway so sadly we need not get much sleep. Probably wouldn't be bad if you rented a cabin or had your own camper.
Stayed at this rv resort that is more of a campground with resort prices. Very run down… small unkept pull through sites and buildings need a facelift. The park workers drive the golfcarts SO fast that if a child was to get hit; would seriously injure if not kill them! The good: Nice ladies at check in and an independent shuttle service is available to take you into Nashville 10.00 round trip
How can I get information to be able to live in this beautiful place?

Nashville KOA is one of our favorite stops while traveling. The staff is friendly, and the sites we have had have been all level. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pool is clean and warm. The restroom facilities were also clean. They have a shuttle that you can take downtown to Broadway for $10 round trip. The Shuttle ran from KOA at the top of each hour and came back at the bottom of each hour with the last one at 1230a.

We had a great stay over our Spring Break staying at Piney River Resort. We split our time between downtown Nashville and the quiet countryside of the Piney River.

The Light House, tiny home, was perfect for the three of us enjoying our last high school Spring Break for our daughter as she graduates next month.

The shower provided plenty of hot water for our showers. We were very comfortable the entire week. The grill ran out of gas but a refill was brought promptly within 10 minutes so we could cook our dinner.

My husband and daughter enjoyed fishing and we all enjoyed the animals on the other side of the fence; a horse, pony, and goats (including two born while we were there).

Great place! Looking forward to seeing the completed construction and to visit again.
We stayed at a tent site area. Seemed fine. Bathrooms need your regular maintenance of fixing the lights, cleaning stalls, leaking taps. General cleaning would improve bathrooms. The location of this is either great to some or horrible for others. It is located very close to the interstate. Makes for loud nights and early mornings. Hoping it was due to the fact we were in a tent vs cabin/camper. Also had activities to keep the entire family occupied.
Refurbished bathrooms, which are beautiful! Refurbishing laundry mat currently. Bring your quarters or go up front to the office the Laundry is coin operated only, currently, with no coin machines. Very friendly service folks from the checkin to the facilities personnel.
We stayed here on March 23-27, 2024 and enjoyed it. We saw them making new sites and thought we would like to return when they were completed. The sites are large with pulled up pads, picnic table and nice brick fire ring. Couldn’t ask for a nicer site. The scenery is lovely and a nice river view site#6 . I would definitely return. Nashville Tennessee was only 50 minutes away. Kayak and canoing were in distance away. Will diffenly come back again in the near future. AAA + Plus

We had the best first camping trip! The kids have all said it’ll be hard to top this spot! I’m sure in the summer it gets much busier. But we decided to come for spring break in March. The water of course was fairly cold, but the kids still played & got in.

It was very remote & private.. We had spot 5. Which was definitely the best spot. Again, I’m sure in the summer it’s a busy spot because it’s right on the river. But for us it was perfect!!! We would have the occasional fisherman come by, but it was fun to watch them. Both of my girls caught a fish! We also brought paddle boards & the kids had a lot of fun using them to ride the little rapids. You can float down to the beach area, get out & carry them back to camp. Impossible, at least for us on a paddle board, to paddle back up them. It was so much fun! We had a blast!!

Spot 5 & a few others, have a pavilion, which is perfect!!!! It rained on us one night, but we were able to still sit out by the campfire.

Only things to note, we have a 34’ trailer & it was a little tight getting out of the spot. Luckily no one was in the spot next to us, so we were able to pull into their spot. Idk if we could have done it without multiple tries if not. However, we are new to having a trailer, so it may have been an us thing. I’m not sure. Also, the sewer hookup is in the middle vs being in the back of the site. So we ended up needing an extra hose. Again, maybe an “us” thing. However, just want to note it for others just in case it’s helpful.

The owners were extremely kind & helpful. Drove us to the site, made sure we were set & brought us our firewood.
Nice campground BUT don’t buy propane
I paid 74$ for 2 bottles 💰💰.
Shuttle (10$) available to go to town
A folding table should be provided in the laundry room.

Avoid this place at all cost!
Very bad management and no one in the office, no one picks up the call.
The security guy is very rude and demanding.
The management team will do nothing but threaten you.

Thanks for your reply , but I don’t think you really cared about how your customer thinks. We had already communicated with you with your staff’s aggressive behaviours and you don’t even sound you were concerned. We still did not received any apology from your staff which is why we are leaving this review. During our phone call you constantly said you were busy and hanged up. So communicate to this email is just going to another series of negligence.
If you want to have a good RV park experience in California I would recommend you to try Orangeland or canyon. Their staffs are really responsible and friendly.
Great place. Sites were a good size. Nice and wide could see the sand and water from the 5th wheel. . Highly recommend.
Great view and nice staff, but that is all that is good. Sewer dump station was hard to find, hidden at the end, and was in a tight turn, requiring lots of maneuvering and blocking the way for those trying to leave. A fifth wheel would be very difficult to dump without shutting down the whole road. Trash all over the beach and too many rules like no dogs, no smoking (but the camp fires smoke way more than my piddly cigarette). It's just too California gestapo for me. $75 for an asphalt spot with a bunch of rude people walking through my space. The two stars are for the view and the really nice lady at the gate house. If it weren't for those, I'd give no stars. With minor improvements and WAY less beach rules, this would be an amazing spot. Just can't enjoy myself when the rule signs overwhelming. I'll keep my vacations in America.

We went to look at the houses in the society, but the bad roads made us leave immediately. I believe it's E Street where the road is so damaged and has so many puddles that our car bumper was damaged. A community that doesn't care about its roads, I don't see them caring about their homeowners afterward.
I wish I had taken a picture; however, if I visit again, I'll share.

I want to give this five stars because the owner was a nice older military veteran and the guy that worked “maintenance” was nice… but this place was way overpriced for what it offered and not what was expected at all.

First of all, the entrance is wrong on Google maps so I navigated back through the town on a side road and ended up coming down a single lane, unkept dirt path from the hill above with my camper when I could have just driven 30 yards past where it showed the entrance for the actual entrance. But you can’t see the real entrance from the incorrect one which was a junk yard. There’s no one there to check you in, you just have to call and someone will come help you find your campsite (they aren’t well marked).

Second, there was no WiFi and no water pressure at the upper campsite, which you pay a premium for because of the view. I can live without WiFi, but not without enough water for even a trickle in the shower.

The owners home is at the top the hill overlooking the campsites which isn’t a big deal, except for the abandoned bus with all the windows shot out and the other junk piled up there as well. Think “The Hills Have Eyes” scenes, a little creepy.

The plus is that the view looking away from the junk was really nice and it’s just 2-3 minutes from the restaurant and shops in town. And they provided free firewood.
Super quiet, friendly staff. Never had any issues.
Our new favorite site. You must be sure to lock up bikes, because the campsite is open you can have non campers walk around. We have not had any bad experiences, but we also lock up our bikes. Plenty of outdoor activities, shopping and dining.

Fantastic location across the street from beach at very reasonable prices. The property manager and maintenance lead are phenomenal! I LOVED my time there and will go back the next chance I get.
It’s right on the beach! It is a parking lot but it’s close to the beach and shopping. We enjoyed morning walks on the beach with the locals. One night we walked across the street and had some ice cream and did a bit of shopping. The pier is also close by we did a night walk there which seemed safe and with lots of people still there during the cold. There were lots of homeless near the restrooms and I have to admit I was concerned with my stuff outside. We had a bike stolen when we were at Dockweiler. Also the bar does have extremely loud music into the early morning but it didn’t bother us. It was fun hearing people enjoy themselves.

My wife and I had reservations at this place in March of 2023. Due to the blizzard that happened in the local mountains where we live, we were unable to get out of our house for 11 days. I called and explained the situation to the waterfront RV park and they said they completely understood and would give us a credit that we could use for up to one year, for a $50 charge. No problem. I just called to make reservations and use this credit for feb of 2024. Nicole answered the phone and would not honor the credit. Nicole did point out that I had been refunded $174.15 (cost for the site was $387) since I canceled within the 30 day window. I reviewed my credit card and confirmed that I received that refund in April - more than a month after I cancelled and without my knowledge. Nicole wouldn’t do anything else for us with the remaining $200+ that the waterfront Rv park kept from our original $387 paid at the time the reservation was made. So at the end of the day, I paid over $200 to cancel the reservation. If I had canceled for a nothing reason, I would understand, but we were snowed in during the worst storm we have ever seen and the waterfront Rv park would not give us any leniency. Nicole also blamed her assistant - who is coincidentally no longer with the park. Very convenient. This place is horrible. We will never stay there.

We loved our stay at Solitude. I thought the sites were big and the views were amazing. We rode our side by side and love this town and area. I'm trying to make a reservation for this summer but it doesn't look like I can yet.

This is one of the best RV parks! You are literally a crosswalk away from the ocean, and the staff are great! They have great offers for long term and short! Definitely a stop worth taking when your traveling!
Pros- For this RV Park, it’s all about location, location, location! You are in the heart of Huntington Beach walking distance to the pier walking distance to main street shopping dining and walking right out of your RV and going right to the beach. You do get water hook ups and electrical hook ups. You do not have sewer hook ups, but they do have a dump station there. The restrooms that they have on the map are actually the public restrooms so be warned and use your own lol. On the beach they have beach bonfire pits but you are allowed to bring a fire pit as long as it is 8 inches off the ground and have it at your campsite.

As for the cons- once again, I said you’re in the heart of Huntington Beach so there are going to be homeless people walking around. Make sure you lock your stuff up at night. There are going to be the people walking around having bonfires on the beach with music the beach does close at 10pm which was nice and they do go around kicking everyone off the beach at 10pm, but since there is a bike path right behind the RV park, people can use that at any time. They do dump the dumpsters on Monday mornings (maybe other days too?) at 5 o’clock in the morning so we got woken up by the dumpster being dumbed that early- I get it they have to dump them before everyone starts using the bike path. You are right off of the PCH so you will get those people that think they’re cool to rev their engines or race, their cars or race their motorcycles right on the highway so sometimes it gets loud.

I wish it was more quiet and serene but once again, it’s all about location my family had a wonderful time there we loved to wake up every morning to a beautiful view. 🧡
****DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE****

Made reservations weeks ahead of time only to be turned away on arrival after driving hundreds of miles, because our rig did not fit their standards. Probably for the better because all of the spots are right on top of each other and for the price you pay it is definitely not worth it.

We took our own Camper...so the Rooms were Great....
Nice and Quiet....but close to Shopping and Restaurants....
And just a Hop Skip and Jump from the Interstate....💕
Given the location just across PCH from the beach and the type of RV park this is, it couldn't be better. When I first made the reservation in mid-September 2023 I was told that our Class B motorhomes (van) was not allowed. But after some discussion, the owners changed the policy to allow vans with holding tanks that use typical RV sewer connections.

I agree with others who say that the facilities are spotless and the spaces are spacious compared to other, similar RV parks. We were in one of the shorter sites, which had a patio and two parking spaces, though we just used one. We stayed for a week and the daily rate worked out to less than $80.

Will we be back? Absolutely.
Love this KOA! Have spent several different weekends here in both cabins and with a travel trailer. They always go above and beyond with children’s activities, from Halloween weekend to Easter weekend, live music, and food. Guest services are also always very accommodating. LOVE the pool, hot tub, jumping pillow, and yard games. Also love how close it is to opry land and the music valley hidden gem bar / restaurants.
What a gem. The trails are excellent(nice and wide) and the calm waters make for a wonderful paddle around the lake.

Absolutely horrible management and customer service! We have stayed here in our fully contained cab over camper several times. We made a reservation for the weekend and drove from out of of town. We arrived and were told we cannot stay here because we are in a cab over camper. The lady at the front stated that it's been the rule (same person as the last time 3 months ago) and that it's disclosed on the website (its not). UPDATE: OWNER NEVER RESPONDED TO EMAIL I SENT AFTER ASKING BELOW FOR ME TO CONTACT THEM!
We booked 2 nights in early October. Asked the lady on the phone to pick us a good site. Sites are to close together, put us on the swamp, nothing to do at the campground unless you have a boat. For the price, save your money and go somewhere else.
We spent eight nights in a motor home at this park, left this morning. Sites are clean with gravel to park on, lots of nice grass for table and chairs. Bath house was cleaned every day. The play ground is huge, lots of items for kids plus a good size swim pool. Ladies in office were kind and helpful. Our garbage was picked up every morning at the road. Highly recommend. I camped for many years this one will be at the top of my list.

It was a great stay, super quiet, everything needed for a good stay. It was boondocking with full hookups.

If you can live out of your RV and only need electric/water/sewer hookups and no other amenities, this is the place to stay in Dubois.

Get away from the light pollution in town where the other RV parks are located. We caught the peak Perseids from site 4 and it was phenomenal.

Yes you can see some of the neighbor's junk as you drive up the driveway but it's not visible from your site, unless you stay in sites 15-20. Once you're in the campground it's basically just you and the hills.

Sites are spread out and have plenty of space.

Big sites, great views, and quiet solitude!
Dubois is a nice town, too.
The only downside is the road into the park passes though several junk yards. Looks trashy but once you get by that stuff you're in the badlands. Enjoy the views!
We will definitely return.

We did not stay here: we went to the Solitude RV Park with intentions to stay here based on the false advertising stated on their website. Their website states that they have a small amount of RV sites spread out luxuriously over 60 acres: that is a lie. The RV sites might be on 12 acres at the most, the owners probably own 60 acres but the sites are cramped together, right next to each other, just up the hill from a storage facility/junk yard, the sites are closer together than a nice RV Park, and there appear to be "seasonal" RVs that are in decrepit condition on the road heading to in this "park". There is 1 hoodoo and pretty views, but not vast views, you need to ignore the roof tops of businesses, there's a house looking down on the facility; this is not as advertised a secluded RV site out in the desert overlooking vast desert wilderness, this is nothing special, no bathrooms, no services and very expensive. I was excited and wanted to book 2 nights online, they had so many sites available my husband made me wait and thank God he did!

We stayed at Solitude RV park in site 12 with our 5th wheel. Large sites with picnic tables, fire pits and free firewood. The view of the beautiful rock formations was wonderful. Peaceful and quiet. Erik the park manager was very attentive and helpful. We also enjoyed the local rodeo on Friday night.
I'd have to say that I've been welcomed here like no other place I've been. As a resident, this place has been a new home to me. I'm grateful for meeting as many friends as I have here.
This place is a gem! All the amenities you could need with relatively private campsites. Clean bathroom and showers. So many beautiful walking trails, and kayaking on the lake was so peaceful. Appears there are kayak and canoe rentals as well! I also loved how many garbage cans and recycling containers were provided throughout the campground!
Would give 0 stars. As they advertise as motorcycle friendly, but would not let us book because we use a tent cots.
No where on their website did they specify RV only or I would not have called. Woman on phone was not friendly.
We have been seasonal camping here for the past 10 years and counting .. “The Island” has gained us some terrific friendships and even better memories. Great energetic owners who are always enhancing the campground experiences. The VanBeeks have it goin on!!

Great place to live. Not a 55 and older community
It's a very unique experience. You are basically just staying in a parking lot with electric and water hookups (no sewer or dump station). But if you are looking to be close to huntington beach, how's 5 steps away close? My site was 15 feet away from the stairs that touch the sand. It is freaking expensive, but it costs the same as day parking an rv for 2 days anyway.
Pros:
-Beach Front / great views
-Close to restaurants/bars
-Clean campground

Cons:
-Very public anyone can walk onto your site
-Lots of homeless walking around, lady yelled at me for not having a cigarette
-NO SECURITY
-Public bathrooms open till 10 but the homeless sleep in there around 7-8 so no restrooms available after 7
-Loud club across the streets

I did like this place though. Its risky but I will give it another shot.
Avoid the sites near stairs.

Clean and quite facilities. Beautiful views. Wonderful place to be away from the big city.
Campground is ok. Sites are private like a state park. Clean pit toilets. Bath house is nice, except you need quarters to take a shower!!!! Dump station is right as you exit. Hiking, and kayaking are the main attractions. We even saw a gentleman panning for gold!
Mr. Roger and Ms. Sandy were exceptionally amazing hosts. We were treated with nothing but kindness for our two month stay. They helped us set up, get going with a tank of propane, offered us an extension plug, and even showed us where you can go to catch walleye. The campground is very well kept and has some amazing views, there's eagles everywhere! Thank you both so so much!

Great RV Park! Highly recommended especially if your planning weekend runs on the river and want to stay in one spot.
There are a lot of sites but they are almost all seasonal. They have a handful of sites for weekly or weekend campers but it's right near the entrance and almost like you are in a parking lot. The bathrooms and showers were clean. Trains are loud and but if you don't mind it's ok. The sites are close together, not a lot of privacy, close to the river where it's not safe, no dock to fish from. No hiking available, it's very swampy and it sometimes gets flooded. I'm sure the mosquitos are horrible in June. If you have a boat and you are mostly interested in boating on the Mississippi then this is the spot for you. Owners are very very nice!

I have lived at this park for 4 years and never had any problems until a lady named brandy patients started working with the lady named Judy. Judy has always been a fair woman but Brandi has stolen money from the park and from tenants living at the park as soon as last week as she is assumingly is supposed to take over the park she makes ur rents alot more than what it's supposed to be and is taking continuous control over rents and light bills in the park beware of this woman picked us also her boyfriend..this woman has ran off of two of my friends because she slept with their boyfriends but that's ner say or abore two women have moved from these residents in the past two years now that Brandi has an actual boyfriend in the past year theses women moved and they were very on fact payment to up and move in the middle of the night question me and it all comes back to the fact that Brandi has used these families to their names and thinks it's a jokes the owners of this park are wanting it to run it...I have lived here for four years going on five if Brandi were to take over this park I will love in a hotel before renting from this woman is her name is Brandi patience and she truly believes that this park belongs to her we just pray just never leaves Judy truly takes care of this park and Brandi is looking for free rent
Great campground. Really spacious sites. The lake was great for kayaking. The hiking trails were all very well groomed. The campground staff were very friendly. Will definitely be putting this place in my top 10 campgrounds.
Had a lot of fun at the campground and surrounding park areas. Lots of trails to hike and our site was right by the entrance to blue trail. The underlook area is beautiful, as are the well-maintained trails and the main park area near the lake. There was a lot of algae or we would have kayaked. Overall we had a great weekend here
Nice hidden gem of a park. Great, well-maintained trails. Nice campsites. Seems to be a local fishing spot.
It was not crowded at all. A quiet place, tucked away in hilly, beautiful, farm country.
One of the best RV parks we have been to. This is our third time staying here over a period of five years. It is a military (retired and active duty) only park on Earle Naval Weapons Station in Colts Neck, NJ. There are 15 RV sites with concrete pads, electric, water and sewer hookup. The rate is $25/night. Worth every penny! Like living in a peaceful park with deer everywhere. Very nice.
Nice concrete pads and patios. Truly lives up to the name deer run. Deer are everywhere. I'll be back.

A lot of these reviews are from when we had our maintenance worker dying and the land lady going through a rough patch. The places is so much better now, clean, smell free and absolutely incredible workers now. A lot of permanent residents but we always have spots available. If you can’t reach us at any time just continue trying, sometimes our phone lines go out or short. If you call between 12:00-1:00 it’s because that’s our lunch . Definitely give it a second try if you have the chance, our place has definitely been turned around! ☺️

Have been trying to get in contact with this trailer park for the past 2 months. It goes straight to voicemail every time, No Lie!.
Not sure if the people answering the phone want their job.
the reason for my calls is i saw 2 homes available for purchase on the website so i drove over there and saw the for sale sign.
All i want to know is if the homes are still available, That's all.
if not, saying a simple "Not available" could help those looking.
Great place for those who love hiking, nature walks, and for those rock and precious stones enthusiasts. A $5 daily vehicle pass or $30 annual pass is a small price to pay for such a beautiful place. It's also a great place to camp, only downside to that is if your in an R.V. make sure you fill your water tank, as they do not provide water hook-up only electrical.
Update 4/9/22, the city repaved and restriped the lot, added more spaces in the process. The sites adjacent to the steps, and especially the ADA ramp to the beach get a lot of pedestrian, bike, skateboard, stroller traffic. You'll get less privacy, many pedestrians will walk thru your campsite and around your RV. The city/park representing was sympathetic and attempted to help me with that situation, but they wouldn't/couldn't move me to a different spot even though other spots were open. It's still a great place to stay, just consider the space you choose. Fortunately the reservation system allows you to pick your site.
Original review: Even though it's just a parking lot with partial hookups it is in a super great location. Half the spots back up to the walk and beach. Lots of activity to see, all day long. Very short walk to the pier and Main Street. $65/night
The sites and base were very easy to navigate on this small military installation. Big, concrete pads and deer running around everywhere. Our only issue with this place was the hookups. The water hookup was very low to the ground, making it difficult to get our filter on without pinching the hose. The septic was located right in the middle of the back of the pad (strangest thing I've seen) so we had to back OVER the hookup so the hose could fit. A campervan parked next to us had clearance issues because they were lower to the ground. Great place for pets and overall a quiet campground at a low rate for FHUs.
My family and I lived here for two years and we were very happy with this trailer park. Everyone keeps to themselves, it’s very quiet. The Joseph Medwick park is wonderful and so close! A playground, soccer field, baseball field, tennis courts, volleyball, and trails. It is very clean.

This is a mobile home park. I visit frequently because my daughter and grandkids live there. People that live here that need wheelchair ramps have installed them. Like most urban neighborhoods parking is at the curb.
Wow this small out of the way base has wide spacious concrete sites, we were so surprised and happy. We stayed two days on our way up the east coast. It was a great break for us and they have an amazing Delicious Orchards grocery store that is huge and carries everything. Unfortunately we went on a Saturday and it was so busy you couldn't hardly walk through it. If you are traveling up the east coast and want a nice place to stay on your way, this is it!!!
Wonderful place. Clean. Concrete pads. Well secure obviously.
Military campground. Small but nice concrete pads. It has water, electricity and and sewer. Pets welcomed. Personal were very pleasant and helpful. We were there 2 weeks for peace and quite as we travelled up the east coast.

Quiet, nearly eerie. Park in general was okay. Staff was absolutely rude. We stayed a month and never knew the lady owners name. Every time I would go to the office for mail, laundry etc. I felt like I was interrupting her TV time. She would talk to you while her eyes never left the TV screen.
The maintenance worker was nice the first day, helping us level on the steep terrain. After that day he just seemed angry all the time. During our stay the water froze, and asking for help is a absolute no-no. His only response was that we needed heat tape and our hose will never make the winter. After his 3 minute rant we finally explained that our pipes and water lines were not the problem, but the water froze in the ground. We received a not my problem attitude and a wait until it thaws out next week.
After arriving we had a USPS delivery of medication sent to the park. With tracking we knew that it was delivered and at what time. When we went to pick up from the office, the lady told us all packages are placed on the freezer, yet ours was not there. It had been stolen and again she the owner could not be pulled or bothered from the TV.

Showers are disgusting and gross, locked at 6pm due to vandalism after the office closes. From 6-8 and 3-5:30ish it is a madhouse using the facilities.
Mostly long term rental users.

This place would thrive if the clean cut, respectful and kind husband was running the place. They need to make long term residents clean their sites.

Overall our experience was okay. If they were to put effort into the water issue and had a bit of customer service, and made some effort for security of the mail, this would be a great place. Close to food and highway and prices are some of the cheapest you will find.

While packing up our site, we finally seen the owner out of the office, she ignored our greeting while she tallied our power meter and ignored us while passing as if we did something wrong. Grabbing some hot water from the facilities to do some basic cleaning before we left, I saw the maintenance guy who promptly asked what I was doing with the hot water. I responded just some hot scrubbing water. He scolded me not to pour hot water on his outside pipes as I would break some seal. I told him again it was for cleaning and we were leaving because of them not caring about the water. He did apologize, but it was a little too late.
Great place to RV, very quite and beautiful. Close to all county road and local beaches. Very clean and friendly atmosphere, lots of todo by the MWR. It's like a summer resort.
It was a really nice camper cabin. I really liked the beds being in a separate room from the gathering area. The bathrooms at the campground were really nice. The playgrounds were great.

Pleasant and quiet neighborhood, keep myself busy with my family and working. Nothing is perfect in life but enjoy and be grateful what God gives you everyday.
The rate was great... no shade, so on a hot day, that AC will run... no fire pit on the site. If your checking in after close, be sure to pick up your packet at the gate.
It camping right on the river across from Red Wing. Manage to fit 43 foot mh in had some low branch but everything ok. Nice bar and food nearby.
Great local spot for RV camping with a near by jerk shack bar. Campground is friendly and clean. Lots of activity on the weekends. I do understand some of the negative reviews since the campground is across from the train tracks and under a rather busy bridge, but this place rocks! The staff is all super friendly and helpful with any various needs you might have. We've always had smooth check ins and great experiences while staying here.

My family comes here all the time and especially enjoys being so close to Red Wing yet out in the woods and on the water. My family has been camping for years and I have to say this place is definitely worth it. Considering all the amenities they offer I'd say it's well worth what they ask for. The bathrooms are always spotless! Anyway, like I've said before I love this place and will come back again for sure!
