Had high hopes for this place but the staff and the small space didn't make it work for me. Asked for toy Tokyo merch and they seemed like that's not interested.
Place was empty and buddy bought a few singles. Tried to sit down a completely empty store to play some games, but was told they didn't allow 'open-play'. In an empty shop with empty tables. Another group of friends came here last time and had no issues staying.
I get staff might just have to follow store policy, but I truly fail to see the value of such policies nor the value of being that stingy. There are much better places nearby that deserve your time and business.

Store’s policies aren’t welcoming to open play; go here for their specific events or picking up a couple of things before leaving, but don’t bother coming here otherwise.
I used Konami’s Official Tournament Store (OTS) Locator to find this place. Went in to play Yu-Gi-Oh with friends and hang out. Tables were mostly empty; two of us at our table and three folks playing Magic at the other table. The store had reserved a number of tables for their events so we sat at one without a reserved sign. Half an hour in, a staff member comes over and tells us that they don’t support open play and that all their tables are reserved for event play. It looks like they started a Magic event with just the three folks at the other table while my friend and I were just minding our own business waiting for the other three in our group to arrive. We were getting kicked out with four empty tables, and the staff member suggested that we go play at the library. It would have been understandable if we were in the way of the event and they didn’t have enough room, but that wasn’t the case. They’re free to have whatever policies they want in their store, but as with them being an OTS listed on Konami’s site, one would think they would be more hospitable to Yu-Gi-Oh players (not to say that they should be kicking out any players at all when their store is so empty). It’s really unfortunate; my previous time coming with friends we had a great time playing and weren’t told to go play in the library.

First time going here. Definitely would go back. It's was like i was at the gates of everything I love. I got me a couple of pop figures. Daria, and two tokodoki
Glad to spend without checking on price here. They got stuffs that are not easy to find. We travel oversea to come. Everyone in the family come out with items. We are a family of middle age / young adults and a teenager.... we geek out in there.
Always super stocked with quality blind boxes and collectibles. The prices are totally reasonable especially compared to other collectable/toy stores in the city. Staff is also always super friendly & helpful. They typically have sunny angels in stock as well which I know most places aren't.
Really cool place with a wide selection of cards - some of them licensed and graded. I visited specifically for Pokemon Cards as my son collects them, and they were very helpful and very patient until I figure out what to buy. My son loved the one I got for him!

Store has always been terrible. Lack of respect and attention from store members. They offer pennies for your cards (not even 65%) and try to rip you off blatantly. Imaging coming in with some sought out Pokémon cards and slabs and someone is telling you they are worthless. Immedately went elsewhere
Cool place good prices friendly chill owners. Bought an Elvis comb, cards, and vinyl for nieces friend
Have gone here for some time and never had an issue until the Lorcana pre-release. All the employees seemed that they had better things to do than help anyone. They were consistently short with not only me but other customers as well. All around just a poor experience, very dissapointing for a normally well done/run shop.
Have tried to go here maybe 10 times and it is NEVER open. I work up the street and walk by multiple times a week and the sign on the door is always CLOSED
I love walking through here. Beautiful.fostoria pieces at reasonable prices. Last time I came I found a really pretty crystal decanter and a wine bottle coaster. The service was great too.

I had a great experience at this store. They have fair prices and also give away tins and dice for free. Staff were helpful and friendly. Great selection of magic cards, but lacking on the pokemon side.
Just bought a backpack from here. Really cute, kind of pricey, but it looks like it's a good quality so we'll see. This store is upstairs across from cotton on. Closer to the foodcourt
The employee Julia was probably one of the nicest and best interactions I've ever had Iin a retail setting. She's definitely someone that can make any customers day
Very bad treatment of customers. Went there to sell a nice little collection of Pokemon trading cards. First I was offered around 50c per card, then an employee figured out that some of them are worth some money (which I knew). She was taking pictures, calling somebody, talking on the phone for 20 minutes. After 20 min, another employee came, probably from his lunch break, still with a sandwich and a drink in his hands, along with crumbs in his beard and on his shirt. He then asked about the price for my collection, and he didn’t want to offer anything. When I told them I’m open for an offer, they just gave me a stare, and told me they’re gonna pass. Very, very rude, they even wanted to escort me out by showing me the exit, just to get rid of me. Avoid any bussiness with these charlatans. That’s 30 minutes of my life I’m not getting back… shameful treatment.

Large selection of outdoor planters for good prices, vast number of vendors and variety of goods. Could have spent more time here!
Friendly and helpful. Mostly for the trading card and Warhammer crowd but they had board games and lots of video games as well, saw some old gems. Got some DnD stuff.
Cooper’s cave games always has what I’m looking for at an affordable price. They’re very willing to help and their trade in deals are AWESOME. Ive gotten countless games, controllers, and consoles from them and they’ve always taken care of me. Would definitely recommend!
I ordered a product online but entered the wrong address. I also wanted to add a new product in my order so I immediately sent them an email to cancel my recent order. They would charge me 15% of $116 if I cancel my order. They also told me to create a new order if I want to add another product and put it on HOLD. Then how long would I need to wait for that product if I were to put it on HOLD? I wanted both products to be delivered on the same day. But yeah after getting their response, I am not going to use their service again.

There’s really no negatives to be found here. Pricing is subjective though I personally think prices are very reasonable and comparable to anywhere else you might find you collectibles.
The space is packed to the brim with all sorts of toys not old and new. It was hard not to walk out of there with boxes of goodies. From floor to ceiling you’ll find something you want or didn’t know you wanted until you saw it there.

Great bunch of folks here. Lots of boars games, card games, video games, models comics and whatever nerdy stuff you could ask for. Lots of tables for in-store gaming and always friendly. One of those places I always find an excuse to stop in when I'm up that way.
First time and will def be coming back! They had so many cool collectibles!
What a wonderful experience always can find a corner that you've not found on a previous visit there's always something new to see and the staff is always very welcoming
Amazing little store stocked with an amazing amount of Asian type toys. My 20 something daughters were over the moon for pictures of this store and I ended up getting them a few things that we wouldn't ever be able to find anywhere else. They will be visiting nyc themselves and one of their first stops will be to this store!
They rotate the in store stock often, which means that you’ll always find something new! I have purchased so many wonderful blind boxes here, and I even won a secret box! The people who own/ work at the store are so nice and very helpful.
Worst place to go they wouldn't take my system cause it had a little dirt on it so I went home cleaned it brought it back and he said he still doesn't want it cause he fills like it's gonna be a thing and also told me he wasn't gonna buy my pokemon cards either which is crazy to me like what did I do lol.
To be honest, the place has some pretty cool stuff but like 1 t shirt costs like $30. I got a shirt and a cap and it was like almost $50. Not worth it. The people there make you purchase a second item and then you can get both items for 30% off but the amount of money you gotta pay is still outrageously high. You can literally go to BigLots! instead and buy those same items for like 8-12 bucks tops.

Fantastically curated collection that spans the greatest toys of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and beyond. Really great record albums, posters, comic books, monster magazines..all the good stuff ! Owners are amazingly knowledgeable on everything they sell, so a great learning experience if they have time to chat with you!
It's definitely a must visit if you are a collector of practically all categories. Joe also puts on the San Jose toy show a few times a year, which is the largest & only one in the area. Very experienced & knowledgeable. Nuff said!

I have visited this store a few times over the past few years. On my most recent visit in February, the main floor was clean and easy to shop if you look for items by genre or IP. I prioritize buying blind boxes over larger toy/statues, and this time they appeared to have less in stock. Only upon a second walk around did I find a lot of the blind box displays in the locked glass cabinets.
The basement (with more anime toys, clothes, and anime merch) was just as clean but easier to shop since it was organized by IP and product type.
They have a metric ton of toys to look through, including exclusives, so give yourself some extra time to shop.

This spot is a jewel in the rough. Most vendors have a wide variety of items and reasonable prices for them. People don't think I paid $250 for the lovely China hutch I purchased here. The staff is helpful and polite. Even got to meet the owner, who assisted us in loading up our item.
They offer a fantastic assortment and reasonable prices on household goods. Some things are brand-new, while others are older. The employees are kind and helpful. Everything appears to be tidy, and the store appears to have been well-maintained. The prices aren't too bad though, and you never know what you'll find.
I was struggling to find the right birthday gift for my sister who plays DnD but I didn't know where to start or what would be a good gift. The owner, Greg, personally helped me find the perfect gift. He was thorough, VERY patient and didn't try to sell me on just anything. In the end we landed on some really cool dice in her favorite color. I can say, they have a very comprehensive assortment! Excellent customer service and selection. Highly recommend. PS- they ship too!
This is one of my favorite shops in the Brea Mall. Anytime we're in the mall, my spouse and I almost always stop in to check out all the cool merchandise. They have stuff for many fandoms: Harry Potter, Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Naruto, Ninja Turtles, Lord of the Rings, and more. The content of their collection changes over time, so sometimes you'll see a lot of Spider-man stuff, and sometimes not. Right now, they have a growing collection of Funko Pop and Loungefly backpacks. The staff here are usually very friendly and helpful. One additonal aspect I like about this company is that for every $10 you spend, one meal is sourced on behalf of local food banks.
In this mall, I discovered items for which I had been hunting in a number of different antique shops. I have never seen so many unusual antiques and other items. This location was quite clean and well-organized. Oh my gosh, the restrooms were so adorable and had a pleasant smell. I can learn a lot about a place's maintenance and cleanliness from its restroom. The staff members were really friendly, and they carefully packed the Bone China I purchased. Will be coming back.

Interesting place! I didn't know they had an anime store in the Brea mall. I was glad this was here. They had a lot of anime products and I was able to find several gifts for people. Nice store!

I drove up from Norfolk with high hopes to visit this store and add to my collection but was surprised to see it was closed. The sign referred customers to their website. Store personnel were inside and appeared to be in a bad mood. If they were just closed for lunch or their website indicated accurate store hours or if they had just smiled, then no problem. But, all is not lost as I have many more things on my list to accomplish.
Fantastic place, a really great one stop shop for all kinds of hobbies from retro consoles, games and accessories to Warhammer, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, board games, dice, comics and so much more. I was impressed over and over. It's 45 minutes from my home but I'm already planning to visit again. The open tables are amazing, spacious and plentiful. The staff is friendly and attentive and the pricing is very fair. It's a great place to buy or sell magic singles and very very novice friendly. I am so glad I stopped in!
There are better shops out there… TCG prices are extremely overpriced. All they have is a wide variety. For example I just purchased a mtg bundle there that was $20 over the tcg player market price. I even tried to bargain with them to change the price according to TCG player prices but they were rude and said no. I still bought it though because I really wanted it and I went all the out out to here to get it. It isn’t a card shop I would go to often unless you want to drain your wallet quickly. Go there for older sets because that’s what they have. Variety is the only reason why I gave them 2 stars. Edited in: Also, I wouldn’t trust them so much because Im almost certain that they tamper with some of their overpriced products as shown in the pictures. I was skeptical when I bought it. 👎 Honestly might test for fingerprints too just in case. So disappointed in you guys. I opened the pack and it was funny how obvious it was that they glued it together. AND guess what, NO hits. As much as I don’t want to say it, I have to warn people that this place is a joke and a scam. Never going back, not worth it. PLEASE take my advice. For those of you looking for comics I have no idea about those. Sorry. Just be careful with purchases for Magic, Pokemon, and Yugioh here. The only thing that’s trustworthy are their singles in their display. I was able to feel the quality of the card and the prices are more reasonable for singles. DO NOT buy sealed products here. Trust me on this. There are many other LGS stores you can spend your money at while feeling better about your purchase. It’s kind of sad. I used to go here a lot. I’ve noticed how lots of stores resorted to this type of practice. AND it was all. Because. Of. COVID. I’m sorry but I can’t trust you guys anymore.
An incredible amount of really cool items in a small space, some unique and rare,compared to other shops that I have been to recently also fair prices. Will definitely be back.Been back many times, they have even more than before.
Did not know this place existed only because I go to their website and order. The had a lot of wonderful things and I wish the had one in Arkansas. Plus we forgot our bag at the store and one of the employees called us and saved our bag till we pick it up. Very nice and wonderful people work there.
The geek store of my dreams! I've been here so often, the staff recognize me. From anime to Disney to jurassic park. Boxlunch has plenty of geeky merch to choose from. Prices online are almost always better, but you can pick up in store. I wish their LOTR & Star Wars selections were larger, but what I do find I enjoy.

Last week my mom, sisters and I visited this box lunch location, and we had the best assistance ever! Coco and Janelle were the two wonderful ladies that helped us, and we left very very happy with our new backpacks, wallets and a sweatshirt! We live about an hour and a half away from this location, but I would definitely be happy to visit this store again! I totally recommend visiting here:)
The store is great for the products they sell and cleanliness. But sadly we were basically followed during our whole shopping experience. The same half shaved headed employee asked us on 3-4 different occasions if we needed any help. We had a double stroller and our toddler was fussy. So we were already stressed and she added to it by asking us questions while we were trying to browse around. I don’t know if having the large stroller made us suspicious as if we were going to shove things under our basket and walk away with it. We rushed our trip made our PURCHASE with OUR DEBIT CARD with the money we have from our hard earned paycheck even though I didn’t feel like I should have bought anything from their store but BoxLunch has cool Star Wars and Disney Merch so we went ahead and PURCHASED THE PRODUCTS WE LIKED. I regret the transaction and plan on sticking to buying online from now on.

We were in the NYC for our honeymoon and noticed that the shop wasn't far away from our hotel.
I wanted to see the dumpster fire show that was available and luckily it was opened until the end of the weekend.
Showed up to the show and was not disappointed. The people inside greeted us and were very nice.

Charlie is the man in central Wisconsin for all things German as it regards to firearms and militaria. Had nothing but positive experiences with him. Always super friendly and professional. Always a pleasure!
Cool store for figures. Fun to look at. Not very much selection though, wish they had more things for sale! You can browse everything in about 5 minutes.

My kids bought a vintage Chewbacca and R4 Star Wars action figures here. My younger daughter bought a vintage plush owl and a small Hello Kitty doll. I bought an American made Kit Cat clock from this shop.
Very helpful staff. If you like pop culture and Hot Topic, this is the perfect mix. Their Jurassic Park items are a bit low.
The workers were really nice but if you are a Disney fan they I suggest not going in their because you will want everything and your money will go like 💨. You can try clothes on and if you don't get it then they will take to the back to clean. 😁
Very friendly and helpful staff. Lots of stuff to buy and look at. Great place to get gifts if they are carrying a show or character that you like at the time. If they aren't, come back in a week because the chances are good that they will be carrying something you like then. The items are constantly being rotated and new stuff is almost daily being brought in.
They had the firearm that I was looking for. Very easy to deal with and they shipped immediately.
Box Lunch ....really a fun store to shop at for obscure character merchandise. The sales staff were very helpful, and adhered to covid rules.

I love the unique items that they have on display because you can't find it in other stores. They have from televsion comedy series to animation to Disney and Harry Potter movies.

Seriously overpriced place! I would never bother with this place. Many items are grossly misidentified as rare European items. They will not reply to inquiries. This is deliberate and deceitful.
This place is a goldmine for very cool old school toys and collectibles as well as records and posters. What ever you do, don’t blink or you will miss something. I walked around the store no less than 5 times and each time I saw something different (so cool) Hot Wheels, Godzilla, Troll dolls, Lost in space, Bruce Lee, Dean Martin and my little ponies (just to name a few) they have something for everyone here and at all different price points as well as great gift ideas for friends and families. The owner is also really nice, I shot bull with her for about 20 min.

Stepping inside this small pocket, unique toys, vinyl, and all sorts of collectibles surround you. The presentation is simple yet inviting to the curious eye. In many ways, the store is set up as a small gallery. Walking away empty-handed is difficult. The owners are overwhelmingly friendly and only add to an amazing visit.
My family absolutely loves this sore. This was the first time we had been to this location. The service, and selection of nerd paraphernalia was outstanding. A young woman named Alex was quite helpful, and gave me some great information. I couldn't be more pleased with my experience at box-lunch.
Super cool store. If you are serious about your cocktails and antiques then go to this store. So much cool stuff. I wanted to take everything home. They carry lots of cool barware and mixers to boot.
Always has a fantastic selection of items that you won't feel bashful walking into. Not to rag on HotTopic but since my Naruto AMV days are behind me it's nice to have a more homebody feeling while shopping for my overwatch T-Shirts. They also seem to focus on blending that good

Old school toys! I really love this place, even don’t want to leave!
The owner is so friendly that even on the Halloween he was willing to let us to look around for 10 minutes more after work! What a nice guy! He also gave us candies haha..love him! I will go visiting this amazing store again!

Been shopping here for about 5-6 years now and love the staff and selection. I tend to order online for a pickup to accumulate points, but enjoy visiting their store to see their current exhibits of featured artists.
The pieces sold at The Hour fall in the category of gorgeous vintage / antique barware and glassware. I found the staff attentive and helpful. I did not purchase anything as I found the prices to be exorbitant.
Great selection of barware, too bad everything is marked up at around 200% actual value. I recommend taking some time to look up items on Ebay before throwing your money away on these nice but severely overpriced items.
