My account was hacked and a significant portion of my account was lost before I discovered it. This company did NOT support me or help recover my funds one bit. Avoid this broker at all costs!

A mindbogglingly idiotic user experience all the way around. Everything is much much much harder to do than it should be.

Have been trying off and on for a month to open an account in Washington DC. Have repeatedly called to set up an appointment and have a few questions answered about option levels, access to account balances; etc. Have only got a recording to which I left messages asking for an appointment. They have yet to reply to any of my calls. Ultimately this is a management failure.

This is a business that relies on being able to provide a reliable trading platform, tech support & efficient reporting. It miserably fails at all of these important services. The only plus is low cost commissions but they come at a high cost. I've been a client for years but not much longer if there isn't a serious shake up there soon.

I was assigned several times and everytime IB adds one share of the stock on the contract I get assigned. So' if you were assigned an AMZN 1 contract of Sell PUT, you actually will be assigned to buy 101 shares of Amazon but your statement will only show that you bought 100 shares. So where did the extra share of AMZN go--it has a value of about $2000. I understand that when I buy/sell puts or calls, IB already deducts their fess and commissions.

very bad trading software, everytime takes long long long long time to loading up.

Over the years I've used several trading platforms and services to manage my finances. To date I haven't found one to be nearly as efficient, fully featured and powerful as Interactive Brokers. There is a steep learning curve from other online trading services but if you're up for the challenge and really looking to take control of your finances while being able to trade in most markets then Interactive Brokers may be for you. If however you're not Ameritrade or comparable service may be the better option. One of the most attractive offerings by Interactive Brokers is their low fees they definitely put their money where their mouth is in this regard.

Agent was very slow and too carefree - took his time answering questions
