Navy federal likes to put 5 day holds on checks that are under 1,000 and from your employer. But want you to pay your credit/loans on time. Will be closing my account once all my stuff is paid off.

Racism staff failed to obtain information when requested information and lied about time working for company said she was an employee for 17 years then said she started in 2014 with Navy federal. Tosion should not be in management if she is this dishonest.

I arrived at 4:56 PM and knowing this location closes at 5 I expected to be given a hard time. Not the case, the young lady at the front desk routed me to a line that moved very quickly, a teller signed me in and had me wait for about 5 minutes. I was then called to a back office by a pleasant young lady who was wonderful and efficient. Without any rushing at all I was out of there by 5:20 without any issues! The atmosphere was crowded every teller and office was occupied but it never felt that way.

I visited the Bethesda Fidelity location in order to make a deposit into a newly opened account, having the check in hand for a UTMA account. The representative was very pleasant and understood quickly; she deposited the check and gave me a receipt. While I was awaiting the receipt, I heard another rep very patiently talking to a customer who wanted to cash out some funds. It was explained to him that Fidelity wasn't a bank with cash on hand, and she gave him a number of ways he could get his money in cash. She did not get impatient but explained very well his options. I was favorably impressed.

While the overall experience of my mother and me in dealing with Fidelity has been pretty awful to say the least, I did want to compliment one employee, Mr. Nayo Ayegbajeje, who tried very hard to make up for the poor service and knowledge of his colleagues at both local offices and the Transition Team. The Bethesda office did not return my messages nor was there an email address. Going in person is slightly better but even the local staff had limited leverage in being able to deal with the overall company. I would normally give one star or none but have elevated to 2 stars due to one responsive employee, who should be an example for his other colleagues who have much to learn.

Let's start with Brandon. The doors were open and welcoming. He was not. He did not speak until spoken to. He was very nonchalant for our reason being there. I requested to speck to a Rep and he said " Yal Sho Don't Want A Teller at Da Window, its 7 in front of y'all". He really needs customer service Training. He seems to be hired on the spot. Also kids running around made things very frustrating. This was a unsuccessful visit.

Extremely poor customer service. Branch can't be reached by phone. Wrong number on web site. Branch hours not accurate. Does not follow published Covid guidelines. Will not provide receipt for deposits. Security precautions to protect client information non-existent and/or sub-standard. My accounts with other brokerages much better served. Will be closing the Fidelity account.

Two hours into my deposit venture, I finally got the cashier check deposited with a receipt. However, is it available to me to use? Nope. What’s the point to get a cashier then? The process is painfully slow.

If you’re not a millionaire, they don’t have the time of day for you here. Employees have a hard time keeping up with the demand of customers. Establishment caters to customers who throw tantrums about having to wait in a line of 1 person

I highly recommend to stay away from this branch. My recommendation to TDAmeritrade headquarters is to close this branch, and fire some of its employees, including the branch manager. Twice my checks have gone missing. The first time fortunately they found my check that they had deposited to someone elses account. But the second time they could not locate my check, even after my bank confirmed with me that the check was sent to the correct address. So after all this effort in the end I had to cancel my check. I spent hours on the phone dealing with something that should have been handled easily.

from my experience, Td ameritrade was great. The person who helped me was named Samantha Kerr. She helped me open my brokerage account in under 30 minutes, and was really kind and helpful. I highly recommend to anybody who is new to stock investing or wants to open a account.

TD Ameritrade bought out Scottrade - understood. If you close down the old Scottrade locations a notice stating that is the least that clients are owed. If you no longer take money orders and all checks are held for at 6 days a notice stating that is the least that is required to clients. I am starting to regret remaining a customer of TD Ameritrade after the Scottrade buyout. The customer service is horrible and the policies for trading are abysmal. If this does not change I have to say goodbye as I am not happy and the service is subpar.

Dealt with David Bubb at this branch several years ago. His rude and condescending attitude might have been almost tolerable if the managed SEP IRA performed even marginally well under his watch. Now self-managing my SEP IRA, mostly in index funds, yields are better, fees are a fraction of what the were, and I'm no longer condescended to by the Jersey-boy whose salary my fees were paying. Stay away from TD managed accounts.

Totally negative experience, First time calling. Was on the telephone for 20 minutes and told finally that the lines were tied up and they would try to call me back. This was a dismal introduction to a firm that i was going to transfer my funds to.

I went to open a tier 4 options account, thinking that if I walk into the office, I'll immediately get great service. Walked in, handed them a check for $5000 on Dec 1. A Thursday. Today is Dec 8, they tell me tonight, at 01:39AM on Friday, Dec 9, in their main office, Omaha that my money was just deposited yesterday (7th) and will take 5 business days to clear.
Whats interesting is Paulina, the Manager of the Rockville office, calls me today, Thur 12/8 and tells me my money was deposited on the 2nd, I can trade anything I want. She's basically an incompetent liar - liar because she's not telling the truth and has access to my account where it still is clear I cannot trade options as I have trades ready to execute that cannot.
Basically losing those winning trades I had lined up before the New Year. Oh, I can trade as of Dec 15th - basically when everyone stops trading, worst time of year to trade.
Incompetent as my money should immediately have been deposited - brokers want you to trade so they can make money. The only way they make money, so what is she in business for?
Incompetent because they know I could have immediately wired that money and be trading, but Erick who obviously doesn't give a hoot, or basically didn't know how to handle client funds or give me advice. He knew I wanted to trade immediately, so he mails them the check.
MAILS THEM THE CHECK. I'm a contractor, nobody mails checks, and all money is immediately deposited, clears next business day if deposited by 20:00PM.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE. Go to Fidelity Wisconsin & Rt. 410 in Bethesda, their super nice and promised me I could trade after 2 business days. REALLY WANTED TO TRADE WITH TD, but apparently they don't want me to trade with them.

This is for Fidelity overall, not just one office. I have used them for years and overall give them high marks. Most recently I had a problem getting my elderly mother's tax form and they "went the extra mile" to assist. They have low fees and good service. The only thing I wished they had done was keep their old trading platform, but technology changes. All in all I have had a very good experience over many years. Thank you, Fidelity.
