I'm an alum, and it was the worst 4 years of my life. The faculty do not care about your success and there is almost no student life, unless you have wealthy parents.

Apparently they let student rip missing peoples posters that are up with no repercussions. School has no mind of its own clearly. Can’t stand up for what’s right. Not a school you’d want to educate you.

Not safe on campus for Jewish students. Administration has created this environment and refuses to do anything about it.

They input my info on my application incorrectly and ended up overcharging me 1000s of dollars. Out-of-pocket.

After multiple calls, runarounds, and outright lies or incorrect information about who was available to handle the case and when, I receive an email 12 minutes before they close that I should have paid attention to their mistake in their one email from 5 years ago.

A world renowned university and medical system on a beautiful campus that is always clean and well maintained. The campus both the university and medical campus are situated in areas where petty crime can be an issue so always be vigilant but the university has extensive campus security and campus police on patrol. It's such a great campus and a great place to work or learn.

My classes were great but I'm giving it one star for their financial aid plan. I would give it no stars if I could. I'm hoping things have changed so that no one else goes through what I went through. I was in the accelerated nursing program that was a 1-2 year program for people who already had a Bachelor's degree. I aced the exam to get into the nursing program but because I hadn't paid off the Perkins loan which was in the thousands by the next semester I wasn't able to do it. I was forced to drop out and was not able to get my transcripts so that I could transfer to another school. It took me years to pay off that loan because I wasn't working and by the time I finally paid it off I was working and didn't want to go back because I didn't want to take out any more loans. I told people about my experience and some said they had the same experience. I heard a lot of schools did away with making students pay off loans before they could move on to the next semester. I hope LIU is one of them.

Money Mongers, worst services from the staff members. They don't care about international students as they are tied up with all the consultancies across globe doing there business by selling education as they don't care about maintaing relationship with students, I request whomsoever and whatsoever recognition and rankings given to LIU should be revoked ASAP, and name it PATHETIC UNIVERSITY

My experience as a student at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor has been nothing short of amazing! The campus is not only stunning but also buzzing with energy. The professors are world-class, and the wide range of academic programs ensures there's something for everyone. The resources available, from the libraries to research opportunities, are unparalleled. What truly stands out, though, is the sense of community and school spirit. Whether it's cheering for the Wolverines at the Big House or collaborating with fellow students on projects, being part of UMich is an unforgettable journey. I'm proud to call myself a Michigan student, and it's a definite five-star institution!

I can only speak from my personal experience, but I would highly recommend this university, especially for current military members. The support I’ve received during my 3 international Permanent Change of Station (PCS) moves has been exceptional. The seamless transition between advisers from one base to the next has been a significant advantage. Lastly, their online classes are well-structured and ideal for those with hectic schedules. 10/10!

Public school? Hardly. You don't get kicked out of public schools for not paying. No, it's a publicly funded PRIVATE school. What's a word related to "private" kids? That's right. It's PRIVILEGE.

I went to school here. The campus is beautiful and everything is fairly walkable. I got a fantastic education here that set me up for career success.

They have respectable grad programs, but if you're an undergrad, go literally anywhere else.

We were just cattle instructed by grad students. Such a farce, this institution.

This school does not care about students. Being a freshman here the rooms are nasty ,beds shake and it takes more than a week for someone to fix it. Also the ac units are dusty and make us sick . It looks like it’s never been cleaned.

If NVCC offered a bachelor's degree, you'd have a better experience there for a better price. If you can go somewhere else for college, do so.

I signed up in May 2023 with UMGC Europe, submitted a transfer credit report, done by WES. My goal was to get a BA quickly using most of my transfer credits. I had 5 majors which I was interested in. In July UMGC "lost" all my transfer credits on record after I submitted a second transfer credit report from another university. I complained and after a week my account showed some credits but three credits less than before. My question why that is has been unanswered for 6 weeks now. I was told I had some more credits to be "unlocked" if I submit a syllibi for those classes. I submitted it 6 weeks ago but still no update on how many credits get recognized. I complained in two emails to the ombudsman of UMGC no answer at all. My advisor keeps refering to stateside offices which are making decisions but have failed so far to resolve my case. I spoke to head of admissions Europe, he promised me to get answers and get back to me through my advisor but again no answer for the past six weeks. Communication is non existant. I have attended universities before but I have never experienced anything like this. I can't recommend this university at all.

This is an excellent college with great programs. Especially music.

Not the best college, if you have option go to anywhere else but here – do it. Staff is terrible (impossible to get a hold of finaid office, which isn't even located on campus), professors are mediocre at best. This is a good option if you don't have a lot of money to attend a real college.

It's a very busy area but I love the DAWGS so it was worth the traffic nice place to visit

It is with a heavy heart that I write this review to express my deep dissatisfaction with university of michigan dearborn. After investing a significant amount of money and years of my life, I find myself regretting my decision to attend this institution. The teaching methods employed by the university are woefully outdated, leaving me with a profound sense of disappointment and a lack of knowledge in my chosen field.
Throughout my time at university of michigan dearborn, it became increasingly evident that the curriculum failed to keep pace with the advancements and developments in the industry. The materials and subjects covered were antiquated, leaving me ill-prepared for the challenges of the modern world. It is disheartening to realize that the exorbitant fees I paid for my education have yielded such meager results.
To make matters worse, my experience took a turn for the worse when the university demanded $7000 for a three-week period I attended at my last semester before dropping classes . This unexpected financial burden left me feeling disgusted and taken advantage of. The threat to report this amount to the credit bureau only served to exacerbate the situation, highlighting the university's lack of empathy and willingness to exploit their students.
Furthermore, the university's insistence on holding my records hostage in an attempt to coerce me into paying this exorbitant sum is an act that I cannot support. As disheartened as I am with the quality of education I received, I refuse to associate my name with an institution that disregards the well-being and academic growth of its students.
In conclusion, my experience at UMD has been a devastating disappointment. The lack of updated curriculum, coupled with exploitative practices, has left me questioning the integrity of the institution. I caution prospective students to thoroughly research their options and consider the long-term implications before committing to UMD . It is my sincerest hope that my review serves as a cautionary tale, preventing others from enduring the same regretful journey that I did.

The Dome offers a fun place to take kids on a rainy day and several community events are held there.

I've been going here for two years now, being a transfer student, and I can genuinely say this is a great school with great professors, especially if you're in a stem related major. The only problem I have found is the support departments and administration here, but it's a huge problem. I have had times where I'll open a ticket, wait a week for a response, be told that I need to be redirected to another department, wait another week, and then be told by the second department that the first one was supposed to help me all along. I've had times where I've been redirected to U of M Ann Arbor and Flint departments for them to be like "wrong school?" I don't know who staffs the aid departments, but if I had to guess, it's freshman top to bottom, because they can't handle even the simplest requests. If you have a time sensitive ticket, good luck, because they'll respond a month later and tell you the deadline was two weeks ago. If you need to deal with anything related to financial aid I would just transfer to another school because I swear it would be easier and quicker to do so. The only problem with that is that you would have to deal with student records, which is like pulling teeth. Again, campus is great, professors are great, courses are great, but If you have to ask a single question of the administration you are going to regret it.

Took my teenager on a campus tour. We were both treated well, got to see the campus and talk to a few department professors. It was a great experience!

It was my first time going to the big house and it was an absolute blast! Tailgating with my friend was fun and the game was amazing as well! If you're a huge michigan fan and have never been to the big house to see a game, I highly recommend it!

Overall, I had a great 4.5 years here. I’m a minority and have never felt discriminated against, but I do admit if I went to GT or one of the northern schools I could of made more friends. The people here are a bit cliquey. Parking lots are enforced and you better register your car with parking service. Every single year UGA admits more student and oversold more parking permits than what’s currently available forcing people to park in section 8 housing area. I recommend getting a e-scooter if you want to get around since the buses are packed and often don’t stop at where you want to get off. It’s been 4-5 years since I left this place and Athens will always have a place in my heart. I’m also doing really well in life and I am thankful for UGA for providing me with the resources and jumpstart my career in the first 1.5 years of my early adulthood. go dawgs!

My daughter graduated from Michigan as a triple major and then got her Masters in Management from Ross. She also played in the famous Michigan Marching Band. When she graduated she was offered jobs on Wall Street, as a book editor, as an advertising executive and at Google. There are not many universities in the world that could have offered her the excellent and varied education she got from Michigan. On top of that the Saturdays in the largest stadium in the country listening to the greatest fight song ever written is a thrill no other university can offer. Go Blue!

Excellent place for racist football players like Jamaal Jarrett to make racial comments on Asians. 100% would recommend for all Asians to come and experience the once-in-a-life experience.

2 years of back and forth and no one in that office is capable of giving le information or following up with my request, this is never heard of.

Stay away from this place, they are extremely predatory and always look to milk you of money. They also have confrontational and ingenuine employees that make it difficult to get anything done (specifically Isaiah in tuition planning or financial aid). Save yourself a headache and go somewhere anywhere else. (PS- all the 5 Star reviews they received are fake, you can buy fake reviews on Google.)

Attended here for 1 year. Although it didn't work out, thankful for the experience and friends I made. It exposed me to the wonders and beauty of the U.P., and the region will forever be one of my favorite places ever ☺️

Please beware of this school, especially their DBA application process. They will charge you money for an application process you didn’t even submit. I’m currently going back and forth with them over an unreasonable fee for an application I never completed. And I never got a call or anything from them regarding this charge; rather they reported it to debt collection, very ridiculous.

See nobody returned my email even after they responded to my negative review on Google. This univerisity is a JOKE and a WAIST of TIME. If something goes wrong with a online course, DO NOT expect your success coach to work with you to resolve the problem with your instructors. If I could go lower on the stars I would. Instructor didn't open classroom to review the contents of the class until a week after the star of the class. Staff lies to their students by telling them that they have no extension number to reach them. Don't believe it if they try this stunt with you. I had to write a letter to the resolutions office stating how dissatisfied with the way my problem was resolved. Not my problem that this institution is hiring incompetent people who don't know how to handle issues with student problems with the classroom. I plan to turn this matter over to a Maryland State Delegate, so they can investigate into this matter. I already emailed the resolutions office, and the head of the cybersecurity dept. Nobody had the nerve to even call me to discuss. UMGC is making me pay for classes where the issues were caused by the instructor causing me to drop the course. The instructor didn't have the classroom set up right in the first place and none of the required links that were needed to successfully complete the course were not activated. The dates that the course contents was set to open a week later then the start of the class, putting everyone a week behind schedule. Its not right that UMGC causes the issues and the students have to suffer with the costs of the class even though the issue was caused by the instructors and staff. UMGC doesn't care about its students and this is bad business practice. They teach listening and problem-solving skills to their students, but they can't get their staff to follow what they teach in the textbook. That is sad!!! This problem needs to be investigated by a higher authority and actions need to be taken to prevent this institution from doing this stunt with other students.

I took English classes back in 2014 that’s when I came to USA with 00 knowledge of how schools system works in here .. so that Arabic speaking lady that supposed to help me with my applications witch i thought she did unfortunately never helped with any especially fafsa. I attended 2 semester going to class every day like everyone else.after 2 years I received the letter from the collection agency that lIU own me 3000. It was a good surprise I contacted the school several time there was no help I decided to go I met with the same lady that did the application she is trying to avoid me I asked her u were supposed to tell me what’s going on with my application and now u have to help fix this problem she said I can’t do anything and walked away. I went to the financial aid department no help as well so mean I told them you have to tell me when I was in school that something wrong with my application or something. Just need to know that if attend the class I have to pay right way I mean while or before even start the classes. I think that’s how it should be. If I can’t pay for my classes and then I won’t go. Or if I decided to attend it will be my responsibility. Now they hired a law firm just to collect the money i really want to fight because I’m sure so many students got through this and many more will so be carful with this school please student

College seems fine for my student. Move out day on same day as graduation? Logistical nightmare. Drove around campus for 30 minutes never to get to his dorm. Made it happen but that was not good planning

Pretty good school, I am an online MBA student as well as a Grad Assistant here. Very helpful with admissions/HR/student advising/registering for classes.

Only annoying thing is they instituted this new ProctorU service to watch students while they take exams. The proctors have full access to your computer while you take exams. Total invasion of privacy, not to mention can be a pain in the butt to log in (some students have to allot 1+ hour just to login to an exam).

Top-notch faculty and an consistently-updated facility. One may wish for the administration to be more forthcoming and involved, but they generally did okay.

Cost was low, plenty of scholarship opportunities, on-campus living conditions were better than many.

I was here for two years after my time at Nova CC. I was with the Schar School of Policy and Government. It was a fantastic experience I wouldn't trade for anything. The professors are all experts in their fields with PhD's. Everyone in my classes were respectful and engaging. For a social life it was average, you have to make your own friends by joining clubs or living in dorms with your door open. Be polite and talk to people. Infrastructure wise there is a huge effort by the university to modernize. With the Peterson Medical building, Nguyen Engineering Building, Fenwick library, exploratory building, and the new Robinson building that is being built in the middle of campus, it's gonna be great.

For now the construction may put people off but it will become a great school for students and graduate students alike. 4/5 would do it again. Not really but still.

I have been here for a year now as far as the students go everyone is very nice. It was pretty easy find people that you can connect with which I thought would be challenging as an older student. As far as the administrative staff goes some departments are better than others. If you are doing work study good luck with getting your check they are not helpful. Advising can also be a nightmare if you get a professor consider yourself to be very lucky. If you get an advising counselor you are in for a frustrating time. My first semester class wise was horrible, my advisor put me in classes that doesn't match what I need. So as an incoming student be very adamant with what you want and don't take no for an answer. Also try to connect with your professors in your major so if you can't switch advisors you can always ask them for guidance when it comes to your degree.
As far as this school goes it's really not that bad but with anything you have to work for it, you can't expect people to give you everything the school doesn't really hold your hand much so you have to be consistent with sending emails and communicating people on campus. Also if you are a commuter student keep in mind the clubs on campus ARE NOT COMMUTER FRIENDLY. Purchase sells the idea of clubs to students and doesn't point this out which I think is awful since it's misleading. Commuters tend to hang out in the commuter lounge this will be the social scene for commuters.

I went there for performance audition. Their greeting was simple and lovely. The audition experience was quick, with no extra time to make you tired, just as it was scheduled. Very organized and enough time to warm up. I also liked the piano. It is a friendly environment. I didn't feel any stress in there

Good place for learning English! I recommend this university for studying everyone who coming to Brooklyn at first!

I have loved everything about this university.
I made some crazy good memories with some crazy good friends. I had the opportunity to meet some of the finest professors in the field of pharmacy over here. One of the legends that I got to met was Dr.Almas Babar. He has been teaching in this university for as long as I have walked this planet and he is an amazingly awesome teacher. I would highly recommend this university for pursuing pharmacy related studies.

The campus is a nice and clean environment, friendly colleagues, and helpful professors. The library is a good place to study, quiet and neat. As an Alumni to the university myself, I strongly encourage students to attend, as it offers multiple degree programs that cater to diverse interests. U of M is definitely a place that sets you up for success, number one choice, go blue!

I graduated from here, the biology department teachers are awesome. Don't live in the apartments connected to the school unless you have no choice.

Great campus and great education! I attended this college for my undergrad and can personally comment on the computer science staff. The campus is always well kept and the walking trails behind the college are well maintained and always nice to get away from class!

I love this place. Largest research university in Virginia, one of the most diverse in the nation, youngest school to reach top tier research status in the Carnegie classification, no disparity of outcomes among ethnic or socioeconomic groups, home of first Nobel Prize winners in DC or Virginia, in a perfect location!

Overall, I like UM-D. It's a smaller campus and the class sizes are the same as high school for the most part. The cafeteria food is really good! The university just updated the science building and now they're updating the engineering building. The main drawback is the lack of parking, and now the university is charging visitors for parking which I don't personally agree with.

This is way easier than applying online. The service is quicl, the people are knowledgeable and friendly. The office is beautiful. I wish i knew about this before i needed to make changes to my application.

The George Mason University is better than I expected going in. Many Norther Virginia High School students don’t really want to go to this school because they think it is not that good and they do not want to stay home. This is a great place to learn especially is you are on a budget. Stay at home and commute, it is a great way to save money while getting a good quality education at a university. This school is great and although there is not much on campus culture, there are many things that make the school amazing. This was not my first choice school, but I am content with the decision I made.

I went to NMU 06-11 and had the time of my life. it was the best experience I could ever hope for. hopefully my son will be attending in the future too. For future students, don't think about the party life...everywhere does that....look at everything else this northern offers that they don't, certain classes, class sizes, the Superior dome, Lake Superior, cliff diving, the Upper Peninsula, being away from the majority of rude Americans ( being kind is something the U.P. is known for) research activities, the U.P. 200, Greek life, classes taking place in the environment ( not just the classroom) and then, ADD to that all the experiences like meeting people and partying that you get at all the other universities, although as far as partying goes.....in the upper peninsula drinking is a sacrament and a right of passage....that's what NMU is....and much much more....it's an experience that can't be stated in one paragraph, it needs to be experienced. I mean where else can you do what I did and not schedule classes on Fridays so you can go cliff jumping and then hiking. talk about a way to start the weekend.

I find it interesting that the more recent reviews are on the more negative side. That says a lot. And they are true. I started going to NMU in 2012; beautiful college! It turned my life around and gave me direction for my life. But then recently (maybe the past 2 years[?]) the politics have went down the drain. Tuition has gone up just to make the university all 'fancy and attractive' to get more students. I believe that the education standards are what should be important. The professors, teachers, and faculty are phenomenal here, they genuinely care about their students. I guarantee you will receive a great education and hands on experience in you degree. But those who are not 'in the field work' so to speak (the ones who don't really interact with students and yet are the ones making the important decisions) are making poor decisions and appearing to be quite greedy sometimes. We don't need new buildings when they are okay, what we need is to pay our teachers. There have been cuts on how many there are, and class sizes are growing to be too big just to save money. There is a commercial on the radio right now that says 'classes are small so teachers get to know your name.' ...How are they suppose to do that when there are 140 (yes, 140!) students in one class alone? Classes themselves have been cut out, making less of a selection of topics to learn in specific fields/degrees; or required classes that one might have to take can only take it certain semesters. That makes it hard if they cannot find a teacher who not will do a Directed Study with them. I don't regret my decision coming here, and I want others to do as well, but it will take a lot of patience to do so when in reality it shouldn't be the case at all.

I don't know if they are understaffed or they just don't like some patients but my mother was not threaten very well. She was involved in an accident and when being treated at the hospital they didn't change her bloody sheets but instead was fixing the hair of the other patient in the room. Took over 10 min to respond to her iv machine going off but came within 3 min to her room mates call. Read an entire food menu to the other patient but didn't even offer food to m mother (she was not npo). When asked if she could have a bed bath because her tailbone and hip were broken and she couldn't get out of bed the aid tossed the bucket in the room infrint of the bed and left the room. Although I have heard good things about this hospital we did not see such things.

Great school and teachers, whom are willing to guide you and help you succeed based on your own merit and motivation to become a professional in your field.

The staff is very polite and attentive, but what I didn't like was that you have to go to the Welcome Center in one place then you have to go to the next building then the wait. Overall it was a good place to get information the staff is very helpful it was the time waiting.

The staff could work on being more helpful, but they did somewhat answer a few of my questions.

I love that school but It was so good to be there

The campus is a nice campus, with a good Engineering department. The Mardigan Library is a good place to study/get things done as it is very quiet. The University Center has a Starbucks, that does not really have the Starbucks taste to it. The food is usually priced at $5-6 dollars.

Despite the phrase "Think Wide Open" it feels a bit close minded amongst the students, I'm a transfer and it's always been a struggle to find find a group of friends, the people I managed to befriend would agree with me on this. It's just as cliquey as any school in westchester it seems. The teachers are a mixed bag, some are exceptional while others I question their credentials. If your coming for performing arts this is a great school, but majors outside like psychology and writing need some improvements. I don't hate this school, but I am slightly disappointed and maybe consider transferring one last time if I can't make this better.

The people at the welcome center were very courteous and friendly!!! They patiently answered all of my questions. The staff did an exemplary job resolving all my issues and concerns!!!

As a transfer student, I am enjoying my first semester at U of M Dearborn. Academic advisors, financial aid advisors, professors, and all other school employees have been extremely helpful and much more accessible than at other universities. My only complaint is the parking. I have to plan for an extra 20-30 minutes just to find a parking space and walk to class. This makes class attendance difficult for anyone on a tight schedule.

Really care about making incoming student's lives easier. I was invited to the campus for an open house and I had a great time. Beautiful campus and they had students helping out and handing information sheets out. Can't wait to start going here.

I've been attending this university since 2006. One of the biggest things I like about the school is the fact that it has a culture of respecting one another, no matter where you come from. Ethnicity really does vary. Out of these 8 to 9 years, I've never experienced harassment or bullying.The only time I see childish behavior out of students is when the crazy religious group comes up on campus and intensely judges you while waving the bible in your face. LSUS students will get angry and band together to fight these pigs off. The university also announces awareness events such as sexual harassment, or tips on how to study, how to avoid depression, or very intense and interesting debates about anything. We have guest speakers, bands come to play, as well as exciting events dealing with clubs, food, and other activities. LSUS really does treat its students...especially with food. We also have our own restaurant if you want to call it that, but the food really isn't anything unique. It always reminds me of food you'd buy at Wal-Mart or any other grocery store. Campus police are also on patrol around campus.

I knocked off two stars for a few reasons.
1) The smoking policy really sucked. Smokers had more rights than people who don't smoke. It would say 25 feet away from the door, but they didn't have enough common sense to see that people would still be suffering from all that bad second-hand smoke when they come out of the building or approaching it. I mean seriously!!. With my experiences, I've ran into smokers ANYWHERE on campus. Now, it wasn't until this past August they finally got smart and made it a tobacco-free campus. Now, I don't have to hold my breath anymore or walk in the grass just to avoid these inconsiderate idiots. But I knocked off a star because they made me go through this for years when they should have handled this earlier. Apparently, people's health was not that important at the time. I hate smokers.

2) They really need variety in who teaches what. For example, there is only one professor that teachers a specific kind of statistic, and she's not always very comfortable, especially if you visit her office, yet she seems to make you feel stupid or make you feel intimidated just for asking her questions. There are professors there that act like you're supposed to be perfect when you're listening and taking notes in class. When I first attended for those first few years, they used to have a variety of classes, or at least it was easy to plan your schedule. But since the budget cut, my experience with picking classes has not been the same.

3) This last one, makes me want to kick off another star. But We used to get our financial aid checks on the FIRST day of school. Now, they hold YOUR money for FOUR weeks becuase it was said that the students would just take the money and leave, which I guess causes the campus to issue tons of refunds, which they lose money. But here's the thing about punishing everybody rather than just targeting and hunting down those are actually in the wrong; I don't have a job. I was laid off and had a hard time finding anything after that. That financial aid is literally, what I live off of. I've needed it for doctor appointments, GROCERIES, bills, and other emergencies. There was one time I and my family were so hungry that all we had in the house was eggs and peanut butter. I was so angry with LSUS. Also, I'd rather buy my books off campus where it's cheaper. But since they hold your check, you really have no choice but to purchase from their highly expensive, over-priced bookstore through your LSUS ID. How convenient....for THEM. So, here's my advice. Try to save your money for next semester if you want to avoid buying a $600 book, when you can get on Amazon or Ebay for $200. Overall, the campus needs work. And I'm no longer impressed with LSUS when before, I was proud.

I am a senior at Purchase and I have loved every minute of my time here. I find myself integrated into the community and constantly challenged by my professors and coursework. It is really neat when the different majors collaborate to work on one big project. Earlier this semester I saw a show that was written by a Dramatic Writing major, performed by the Dance Conservatory students, and the music was played by the Music Conservatory students. The campus hosts awesome annual events like Fall Fest, Fall Ball, Culture Shock, and Zombie Prom. Even the food is good! I definitely recommend checking out Purchase if you are looking for a college that has a great community, challenging courses, and an active student body!
