transferred from unt to uta. Uta advisors for the business building are rude. Ac during the summer is not cold. Everyone was hot and sweaty during lecture.

I've been to 5 universities, and when I graduate from here, I will have earned a degree from 4 of them. By far, this is the worst one I have ever attended. Worst financial aid. Worst student service. And my department, hot garbage that seems to enjoy the flames. Highly recommend other state options.

I don’t recommend UTA for Finance. They should offer a Bachelor of Science in Finance instead of only the BBA. Also, FINA-4351 is called Financial Modeling (using a book called Financial Analysis), but there is zero modeling in that class which is really misleading when you get into the “real world”. All of my finance teachers were grad students- none of them were Professors. Anh Tuan Nguyen is the best finance Instructor and he is an asset to the COB. The Finance department is definitely mediocre. I hope that UTA can find high quality people to teach the finance courses and offer more finance courses as a Bachelor of Science. In the meantime, I’ve selected a different university for my Master degree.

Buying textbooks every semester is an absolute disaster because the bookstore website isn’t always in sync with the teachers’ syllabi and their syllabi are not always in sync with what they actually require. For the love of God, please organize the textbook processes so that all 47,000 students are on the same page about which books to purchase and where to purchase them. It seems like I have to get a refund every single semester.

Great school for engineering and decent for nursing. Business school will depend on your work and the professors you choose(from 1-4 ⭐️).
The support sucks. Try calling financial aid or student accounts and you know how living in purgatory feels like.
One hour of waiting on the line is typical and if you wanna use the outdated mymav website to get help without calling them, good luck ;)
The number in the picture below belongs to student accounts department who will drop you from all your classes when u owe money so you need speed dealing with them. I suggest you’ll go there physically even if you’re infected with Covid19 as you have a better chance of reaching them in person. And the pictures following the call are from when i went to student accounts in person and the line for service goes into a second building. Meanwhile only one or two of their 6 booths are open for service....

I am a graduate student at UTA, and it is extremely uncomfortable how university officials push political conformity onto students by shoving specific views onto the student body. UTA has propped up horse statues with one having a "pride" flag on it, and they constantly insult hispanics by using "Latinx" in their school emails. I am glad that under Texas law, UTA will be required to shut down DEI offices and treat everyone equally regardless of their identities. As a minority, you guys aren't helping us nor have helped us just because you deluded yourself into thinking every "poc" is ideologically monolithic. I highly recommend that after January 2024, UTA students ensure that any office on campus that focuses on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, etc. Report these offices to authorities, seek legal remedy, and email their views to the school. A lot of students will avoid directly criticizing these policies as they do not want to get into trouble with the school or get kicked out. The "progressive" student union also hijacks represenation in the student government which exacerbates the disproportionate representation given to specific groups.

Atm a lot of construction is going around the university. Either adding new school building, dinning areas, or apartments around the school. The gym is great, great gym equipment, indoor track, and classes that you can sign up for if you do not like working out alone. Building are easy to locate but if you have trouble finding them people will be nice to direct to the correct locations. School spirit is shown once in a while via the fountains (blue water)
Very diverse univeristy. People from all over the U.S. and other countries.
