a vampire that extorts the state for taxpayer’s cash, the tuition is unconstitutional because its not affordable for anyone who lives in missouri. the hospital isn’t very good. and their orewellian mupc needs to be shut down. the students are annoying to see or interact with. the football team has history of racism.
It's definitely a Beautiful place, GORGEOUS campus, with loyal faculty, staff, professors, teachers, administrators, security, coaches, players, and a host of students with smiling faces everywhere. One of the biggest school in the state of South Carolina and most definitely one of my favorite schools.
The University of Missouri has a beautiful campus with a botanical garden throughout Be sure to stop by the historic Francis Quadrangle to see the famous Mizzou Columns. The World’s first and best Journalism School also sits on the corner of the Quad. Mizzou is the home to the Missouri Tigers. Memorial Union is a beautiful tower built to honor WWI veterans.
Don't. Just don't. Don't. You'll ruin your life.
It's a very big University, they have a variety of different programs. Most of the people I dealt with were very friendly.
The entire MU campus is awesome. And continues to grow. About the best medical care and more. My particular place is the Missouri Orthopedic institute. All good people there.
My experience is to help socially aware people who are not aware in the society and give them ideas about education and health care to help those who were neglected.
My girlfriend has been through a very rough time .. let me just say this . The employees need a lesson in Manners. Handling my girlfriend roughly. Disrespectful!!! I'm not going into details but you guys remember why you are there. Patients are people. The hospital is also an institution , a place of healing. I am big on how people treat people. Although there were some nice people, do not excuse rude behavior ! Employers are to blame. Becareful who you employ and not to cosign bad behavior.
Got a degree in 2019 via the “Palmetto College.” Life appeared good. The covid mess shut down everything as I started looking for jobs! Still having hope in my college degree, I started to look for jobs after the extreme covid mess calmed down…no jobs hire college students now. I went to school for nothing!!! I even called to see if the Palmetto College degree even had value, to see if I actually had a degree. So now I owe money on garbage, college landfill garbage. I am academically advanced to flip burgers. Don’t go to college. Don’t. USC has no regard for graduates. Handshake? Garbage. Don’t offer regional campuses when the regions don’t even network with regional area jobs. I am #!%~ing mad! I regret my years in college. I could have rotted without my degree and degree debt. Oh, and don’t expect to afford payments on 10 dollars hourly. So, anyone stay away!!!!! Don’t go. What an absolute shame!!!!

I had an amazing experience at the University of Missouri Columbia. It is one of the best universities this side of the Mississippi, with a reputation of excellence in teaching and research. It is the first public university west of the Mississippi River and the flagship campus of the four-campus University of Missouri System. It offers more than 280 degree programs, including many that are nationally ranked, such as journalism, dispute resolution, family and community medicine, and more. It is also one of only six public universities in the country with medicine, veterinary medicine and law all on one campus, which gives students a lot of opportunities to learn and collaborate across disciplines. The campus is beautiful and vibrant, with a lot of history and traditions. The faculty and staff are friendly and supportive, and the student body is diverse and engaged. I made lifelong friends and connections at Mizzou, and I am proud to be a Tiger. I highly recommend the University of Missouri Columbia to anyone who wants a quality education and a memorable college experience.
My wife and I are early 70's graduates 🎓 from Carolina. Today we observed the 55 anniversary of my proposal which took place in the fountain garden adjacent to the Administration Building ... walking around the Horseshoe was a pleasant trip down memory lane.

First of all this place is crazy. I never experienced this type of rudeness from
The staff and people at NJCU.

I will talk about the food first. People who serves food in Gsub .They don’t even use glove or wash there hands. They just grab the pizza with their own hands after rubbing their nose and etc.

Every time I call the bursar office or any type of student support office. It’s always another student answering a phone and they always don’t know what they are doing. They are very rude and they just hang up on people if they get frustrated.

If you are a student and working for this school. You will never going to get payed. The people who post to pay you. They just don’t want to pay you . People are very selfish and a lot of students are getting scammed basically. The government funded this school about 5million USD recently but they are still in the financial crisis which means no one knows how to work in this school and make things better. It’s just full of scammers and worst school to attend.

I don’t recommend this school at all.
Couldn’t be more disappointed to a university which sent an offer message, and as late as two days afterwards told me that it was a “clerical error.” Even worse, after the declination, the migration office sent me messages of congratulations and guidance on how to get a VISA in order to study there. Wow, what an unforgettable series of nightmares!
Nina in CUNY welcome centre is the best person! She really cares about people and she helped with my not easy situation! She is kind person and I feel that she wants to help people. Before her I was talking with 3 different people there and nobody wanted to help to solve my problem. She did! Very very nice person! Thank you Nina! I appreciate it!
Saw their production of A Chorus Line and it was wonderful. So many talented people, on and behind the scenes.!!!
No cuny found, only a university
I love them because not only do the produce intelligent free thinking adults. They also empower their students by helping out communities that are marginalized with legal projects and other great involvement.
Let’s just say they don’t have a bad reputation for nothing…. 90% of the staff are absolutely incompetent, and best believe any issue you have you WILL get ignored unless you go over someone’s head to which might get you a reply but still won’t get your issue solved. This administration will gaslight you into thinking you’re the problem when in fact it’s them. It’s always been them. I tried to stick it out with them so I just finish my degree but I’d rather eat a Jean jacket than to stay at UDC. Beware.
Absolutely disgusting what they did to Mena Yarelyn. As someone who grew up in a domestic abuser household and watched the trial and looked at her/his testimony and evidence, it clearly shows that Amber Heard is the abuser and Johnny Depp is a victim. You are protecting an abuser and you should be ashamed of yourself. You would not take it down if Amber Heard was a victim - double standards as its best!!!
Considering that this University does not support the 1st Amendment right, freedom of sprech, so they can be socially acceptable. Despicable.
My kid is now an alum of this aesthetically pleasing university. I hope they continue to make strides in their DEI efforts as it is rumored to the institution was making strides to return it's old ways. Known for their journalism school, “Mizzou” has a strong reputation in the nation but like any college experience, it is what you make it. Keep the diversity efforts strong! #diversityMATTERS
This is a huge public university in Columbia, Missouri. I visited there for my friend's graduation. The campus is huge but so beautiful with gothic style buildings. As it's so beautiful, I felt like I'm in the garden. There are a lot of trees and green grass fields. The campus is so clean as well. I wish I studied here. It's one of the best schools in Missouri. I love the campus.
Been on 2 tours of Mizzou, great place and the learning environment is amazing, the people I've met are very friendly and have successfully things to say about the university of Columbia Missouri, personally one of the top 3 if not the top college on my list
IF I TALK ABOUT THIS UNIVERSITY, THIS UNIVERSITY IS MY ONLY HOPE, DREAM AND GOAL !!! I WILL ALWAYS ENTER THIS UNIVERSITY IN THE FUTURE !!! NOW I LIVE FOR THIS UNIVERSITY !!! 🥲🥲🥲 !!!
The worst university ever, my experience at this university has been draining and miserable. Some off the professor are rude and highly unprofessional. I had one professor a couple off years ago name Samuel Walters tell me that he doesn't have to respond to my emails, and if I reported him they wouldn't even listen to me. I will never forget that, it was odd to me as well because, other professors' I had encouraged students to email, and come in during office hours for assistance. I reported this to the dean, and she told me that professors' are not obligated to respond to students' emails. I couldn't believe it, in addition I wrote the president off the school who is a joke in my opinion, and he never responded. Anything, goes at this University. I blame myself, for returning to this school I was told things have changed, and it has not. Different departments loose papers, I had turn in my vaccine exemption forms August 02, 2021 and was told it was never received. When, I inquired about the documents again, the representative had told me they forgot to submit the documents to another department. But, by then I was already dropped from my courses. At this point, I said forget it, I am glad I transferred to another University that's extremely professional, the transition was great. The staff are rude as well, I remember almost getting cursed out by a lady in the student health department, because I simply asked if my health waiver was received, she was so rude. I honestly, despise this University. Returning, to this University as a readmit student was not worth it, it's beyond me because, UDC reached out to me to come back this past summer and it's still a joke. The women bathrooms, are a joke it's been like that since I started a couple off years ago. Some, off the doors don't lock, the library needs to be remodeled. I remember part off the ceilings in one bathroom was completely missing. Elevators were not working, and some parts off the building were not cleaned, the math tutoring lab couple off years ago was, leaking and ceiling was completely gone. I believe, some individuals work at this University because they can display their dispicable disposition. It really, amazes that the student center is appealing. But, if you go to other departments off the campus the conditions, are horrible or layout is outdated. I blame myself for being at this University for so long, never again.
I wish I finished my nursing degree. So many UDC graduates 🎓 get successful professional life. A friend of a friend back in the end of the last century, moved back to Ethiopia and started his own company. I also learned a girl moved to Dubai and became the youngest successful millionaire at her twenties. Success is you, but the school and faculties help also mold you a pathway.
Look at me now doing pizza delivery. Making people days when I'm sadly sad.
The most terrible school I have ever been to. Both the main campus and the Community college are the same. A lot of slow, unprofessional, and rude staff who keep yelling at students when they are not even doing their jobs properly. I submitted a certain paper to the Financial Aid office and they told me they lost the paper after weeks that I had to pay about $1700 out of pocket. During the 2020 Pandemic, I tried to contact them as I was having difficulty to waive the Student Insurance that is provided through the school because I already had an insurance coverage; no one answered my call until it was due. And now Miss Gaskon told me that I have to pay about $1300 for the coverage I never needed. Mis Gascon was there in 2018/19 when I had the same issue; she helped me waive it then. I could not go to her office in 2020 be a of Covid restrictions. I tried to solve the issue communicating with them but nothing got better yet. I would not recommend anyone to go the UDC unless one needs a headache. I cannot deny that there are some great Professors such as Prof. Sonnie Abebaku. However, individuals are very helpful to us, it’s overall experience at the university that makes a difference in our academic lives. So far, my overall experience is just TERRIBLE!
You can never get ahold of them or get any questions answered. The first semester I was supposed to go they had a hold on my account because I was a transfer student which I couldn't get ahold of anyone to take it off until the day of classes. At that point I just deferred because there were no classes left to add. It's a complete mess.
I have been stuck in the application process since august 2020, every time I call I’m on a half hour wait with no answer I need assistance.
It has a great and enlightened Trade Union. It supports "No Cold War with China" movement and opposes and rejects the build up of war with China.
Just passed through whilst visiting Columbia, and I was quite impressed. The trees were outstanding and tall, the buildings were old but still looked good, and there was a fairly distinctive campus feel despite being in a rather large city. The palmettos make the campus much nicer and southern-feeling, and the various live oaks around campus give a very “Old South” feel. Cannot attest to the academics, though I did see a lot of “frat boy-types” and wondered if this school has that type of culture. The few people I chatted with were very nice and welcoming, and I would recommend visit the McKissick Museum or other places around here to get a sense of the culture and history of the school. G(oh) Cocks! Cheers.
Quiet and good place to focus on your school away from other busy cities. There are great teachers who are willing to help you if you ask. A lot services are provided by the school to help students with their school and social work. It get boring sometimes because it is a small city but overall there are a lot of activities to do
Fantastic campus setting. First time visit and was impressed with the architecture and upkeep of the entire area. It will be a great 1st year experience for my son.
Empathy and Commited, two wonderful qualities that the doctors
have.
An extremely interesting museum. They arrange free tours about the house. It was very informative and educational.
One of the best experiences I have had as a student.
The professors were extremely helpful in guiding me to obtain an education .
The facility is improving and they have an excellent student center.
The student body is very a diverse population.
The administration staff are as friendly. as you are to them. In other words if you act a fool than expect to be treated as one. 😊
I graduated in 2000 with my BA. It was an awesome school then. Forward to Spring 2017 the Counseling Department has no clue. There's no counselor on advisors. The 1 who was there left or was terminated in May and she had no clue. I met with her several times to finish a class that I didnt need with an A. The chair is very condescending and she has absolutely no accountability. If you re pursuing a career in counseling....go somewhere else. I have already registered at Kean University to complete my coursework. Consider yourself warned.
This was a very relaxing place with an outdoor area. Great for events!
Yes the admissions needs some work (never fixed it) but the education, the teachers and the school itself is fine. It's so affordable and you can always learn something new. I got a paid internship through UDC and even though with it's slight hiccups, this school is still great. I'm at the main campus now working on my Bachelors and I'm 16 classes shy of finishing. Don't pay the haters any mind.
I agree that administrative work is little slow but when it comes to education and professors, I would say they are really great, knowledgeable, kind and caring. They always try to help you to learn and never let you down. They always support brilliant students in the class and on the other hand they never abandon weak students too. Some people complain that school building architecture is ugly but just keep in mind the UDC construction completion dated back to 1851. So, I don't let this to impair my judgement about very good professors and education in here.
They treat you like a person. Like an adult. Not some snot nose kid who is going to college because mommy told them to. Fairly mature student body and everybody is there for the same reason- get your degree and get out. Would recommend.
I was really happy that I have been attending this school but when my girlfriend attempted to apply for the school the admissions staff was really horrible. First she signed up for the University tour when we got there to the school there was no tour he just wanted the applicant to decide yes or no if they were going to attend the school. Then when my girlfriend told them I wanted to change my major they said yes it's okay will do it right now then when her transcripts was turned in they told her they were okay and they will contact her in 2 weeks to evaluate how many credits were getting transfer. A month-and-a-half later she received a phone call saying that she needs to get new transcripts that the transcipts she turned in weren't good or acceptable and when she decided not to continue with the application to attend the school the gentleman from the Department that she actually wanted to major in responded to her email saying that she didn't want continue what the process no more he said in his response that he never knew that she wanted to study in that field if he would have known it would have been much better process. I'm very disappointed in NJCU, definitely changes my thoughts about the school overall.
More than thirty years ago, I attnded programs here while in college.
I'm a student and I looooove the library at Roosevelt House!! It's so peaceful and quiet and just the perfect environment to do homework. I can't wait for a break in between semesters so I can finally have time to browse the AMAZING selection of books!! :)
One of New York City's hidden gems. A magnificent property which was owned and occupied by members of the Roosevelt family for almost half a century and is still in use by Hunter College and a Policy Studies Institute. At time of writing guided tours are only available on Saturdays, for individuals and small groups, and Fridays, for larger groups. Pre-booking is recommended because otherwise availability is not guaranteed. Tours, guided by well-informed staff, provide fascinating insights into FDR and Eleanor's campaigns and lives before, during and after the time they owned the property. Well worth taking the trouble to make a reservation and take the tour.
I definitely like it better than Kean University. The financial aid dept is also simpler and has no lines and people actually answer the phones in the financial aid dept unlike at Kean. I have spoken to alot of staff there that actually try to help you. It is a small campus but as long as your there to do what you gotta do, learn and put in the effort in your classes its a fine experience. You can also find good professors here. I like it !
