We held a combo Lunar New Year party and one-year wedding anniversary event at Mess Hall DC for about ~40 people and it was spectacular! Working with Al and his team from start to finish was great. Al is super responsive, helpful, and was committed to helping us realize our vision for this event. He gave me helpful recommendations on vendors (we hired a food truck to cater the event and the served food to order at the fully equipped demo kitchen / prep kitchen set-up in the event space) that he trusted and had used in the past and was on site for our whole entire event. The Mess Hall Team were fantastic all night, especially our super cool bartender that Al helped to secure for the evening for our open bar. I cannot say enough good things about the venue, Al, and his entire team. If you're looking for a unique space for your event in the DC area, then definitely check Mess Hall out!!! All of our guests loved the space and everyone had a fun evening together.

The "INSIDE" of the venue is nice, cozy and good size. But the "OUTSIDE" is a bit sketchy..... Parking may be difficult and a bit confusing to find the door.

My wife I used Mess Hall for a wedding party and it was an amazing party. Staff are super helpful, the space is great for music and catering, and it's in a great part of town. Highly recommend as an event space!

If I could give this company zero stars I would. I have never encountered a more ill equipped service provider. I truly regret my decision to choose Corporate Coffee Systems as our coffee solution. Has I known what I was in for I would have chosen literally any other option. We had countless service calls on numerous machines and despite changing them out and having various parts replaced, they all were defective. Nobody on their teams can coordinate with one another so I am forced to repeat concerns to each new rep I work with.

We held our wedding at Mess Hall and thoroughly appreciated working with Al, Jordan, and the team. They were not at all frightened by our plans for a giant bake-off amongst our guests, music on a vinyl record player, book exchange, and more! They had terrific recommendations for people to hire, suggestions for places to rent additional chairs, and tips for how to make their space work for us! The venue is a wonderfully adaptable space with great vibes and lovely staff.
The ambassador for Corporate Coffee Ms. Wilkins is phenomenal. She makes the customer support and service provided by Corporate Coffee worthwhile!
Horrible company , does not care about others , only making a profit. 0/10 experience

From the start of planning Al and the entire Mess Hall staff were utterly fantastic!

I coordinated an event from Ohio, in DC and it was flawless. Al was timely in email replies, funny, kind, thoughtful, organized, and thorough to work alongside. Im hoping that my work takes me back to DC because I wont hesitate to book this incredible space again.

If I could give them 10 out of 5 I would.
My friend and I were on a hunt for kettle corn we pulled up an address and reached our destination called the number and the guy came out and gladly served us! I didn’t get his name but he was very nice and made our night ! Thanks again we appreciate you!

We used Mess Hall for our 80-person wedding reception, and we could not have been happier with the decision. We wanted a unique space that would work for both an intimate dinner and party atmosphere, and we certainly got both! The inside space was perfect for accommodating a seated dinner, bar, and buffet line, and we used the garage area for our band and dance floor. So many of our guests have complimented the space! Al and Jordan went above and beyond our expectations for communication and thoughtfulness for venue hosts -- both leading up to and on the day of our event. Al was great at providing ideas while also allowing us to really make the event our own. If you are looking for a unique event space, we definitely recommend Mess Hall!
I applied to their Food Accelerator program back in January, I had to submit a rigorous application including a video presentation which I took while I was recovering from Covid and submitted samples, which I had to overnight with FedEx and wasn’t cheap at all. I did everything I was asked and waited but no one got back to me even with a simple reply that I didn’t get into the program. No respect or decency for my time and money.

KIMCHI’s vegan bulgogi is INSANE. First bite I said “holy shit” out loud, and every other bite was just as good. The vegan thai iced tea tastes like cake in the best way.

Love having Mess Hall so close and can’t wait to try other options!

Was very professional and helped my restaurant reach its targets. Was a work horse.
We have been a customer for years and now cannot get anyone on the phone. My customer service representative does not return phone calls or emails. I've placed an order and it doesn't arrive, but I get charged $45 a month for "low volume fee". The Long Island office manager called and promised a new client services rep and promised to give me better service but I can't get the new person on the phone and the manager guy doesn't respond anymore either. Maybe they are no longer in business. Does anyone know????

All good, everyone happy, willing to work with our budget, no added fee's, definitely recommend.
I like Union Kitchen . I bet it's pretty fun for the cooks and chef all getting to work together in communal space . As a driver, I like that I only have to call a number to have the food delivered to me outside . 5/5

Had a great experience with this company. It was a pleasure doing business with them, can't recommend enough!
This is simply the best around! Not only is the kettle corn super delicious but the price makes it worth kernel. I just 5 more bags today! If you believe in supporting local businesses and want a good return for your buck, then you have to get some Old Kentucky Kettle Corn!
I can’t say enough good things about David and RK Hospitality. From creating and managing innovative food and beverage concepts to full scale event production services and hospitality consulting RKH is the best in the business.

Highly recommend!!! Helped bring my business vision to life.
Union Kitchen is a key organization for DC's entrepreneurial food scene. It's facility is pristinely managed and the innovations that its members develop contribute to the diversity and quality of the regional culinary culture.

This was our first time outsourcing our food service for our 6 daycare centers. Culinary Partners provides us a great service and dietary options for our students in which we were unable to do. Gerald and his team made the transition smooth. We are happy and thankful.

Good fit for our firms party. Food was good, plenty of booze, and staff kept it all flowing. We'd use them again.
I purchased several bags of the original kettle corn and the caramel corn from a fundraiser that my granddaughter was participating in. I was not disappointed at all. The serving size/ price was very reasonable and the product is delicious. I shared some with my co-workers and they enjoyed it also. I'll definitely purchase again.
I have used Old Kentucky Kettle Corn two times so far with two different cheer squads as a fundraiser. This by far was the easiest fundraiser I ever done. I developed a relationship with the family and they are the sweetest all the way down to the children. I look forward to working with Old Kentucky Kettle Corn soon. If you haven't tried them you should give them a try. My favorite is the original kettle corn.
We purchased a very expensive machine from this company last year. After six months the machine stopped working. We called them and they came out to fix the machine. Evidently they had to order replacement parts, so we waited. They came out and couldn’t figure out how to fix the machine. So now, we have had a very expensive paper weight for ten months since the company stopped answering our calls and emails.

You should use ANY other service provider before turning to these guys.

UPDATE - I have now tried calling 8 times. I have left multiple messages with Adam Henchel, the number provided in the response, with no call back. I decided to call the President/CEO, David Henchel, directly to see if I could escalate the issue and maybe get a resolution. He answered in a very rude manner, but at least I got someone on the phone. I told him my name and the company I am with and he hung up on me. Customers beware - this is what you will deal with if anything goes wrong with a machine you buy from them.
ABSOUTLEY THE BEST!!! The Caramel Corn is my fave, great balance of sweet and salty.
Great company to work with. Service is number one. Awesome water program!

Party went really well. They have good prices and were more professional than other caterers we reached out to. Most likely because our budget was not high enough for the other caterers. But that should not be a reason to ignore a potential customer. This caterer was honest and told us that out budget was a bit too low, but worked with us to find a budget that worked for us. Not everyone in NYC has a huge budget. Good to know there are caterers that understand this.
Very slow delayed service, but very knowledgeable on info.
Beautiful facility and great crew that runs it. Grow your dreams! Public Access during business hours (M - F) only.

A rotating selection of pop-up restaurants! Rooster and Owl is particularly wonderful. Seating is community style, and there is even a charging station for multiple phones/devices available as a complimentary service. The kitchen/prep areas are highly visible and there are even screens to watch food preparation! The building and décor alone make this experience very luxurious.
I was just introduced to Union Kitchen physically this weekend on July 22, 2016. i had often heard of it. I thought it was amazing. PEOPLE were everywhere doing what makes them happy. Working up ideas, cleaning etc. i am glad to be involved in an organization that is so community.
I'm proud to live in a city where a Union Kitchen exists. Nestled in the heart of Ivy City in NE DC, Union Kitchen is a place for DC food and beverage start ups to use an industrial kitchen and a city wide distribution system to get their product to market. There are 50+ members from businesses making anything from cotton candy to chocolate to ice cream.

Union Kitchen has a grocery store near Union Station called Union Kitchen Grocery and it's amazing!

From time to time, Union Kitchen opens to the public for fun tasting events. If you can snag a ticket, I highly recommend it!
Great place with lots of startup food companies. It's sort of an incubator of sorts. It's not in the best area, but reasonable during the day.
