Lakewood is an awesome place to camp! Has been for many years! But this coming and having many of the restrooms closed at 12am when tent camping is no accommodation to your guest! I understand all the things that the front office said, things such as it’s keeping the homeless from taking up at night in the bathhouses and being safety for the guest but we have been camping at Lakewood for years and this year they decided to implement this rule! But accommodating your guest should be yours biggest concern! What about the elderly who have to go to the bathroom at 2am across the campground or those who don’t have a golf cart to go. You don’t want guest on the campground after quiet hours but security chases them down when they are trying to find the few bathhouses that are open. This rule needs to be changed for your guest! Your manager thats on duty tonight 05/24/24 needs to be taught how to be professional instead of rude especially when there are other guest in the office during a conversation! And again this rule needs to be changed for tent campers!! Bathhouses need to be open 24hrs like in the past! Things happen at night that may require a bathroom near by. This company makes enough money to hire 24hr security employee to watch cameras if needed! Again accommodate your guests that tent camp or who doesn’t have a bathroom!
Always loved this campground. But this year I have some suggestions
1. Make an adults only pool. The only pool has kids doing handstands in the pool and kicking you in the face when they cone down. Kids jumping on top of you from the sides of the pool. Also, they keep the pool entrances locked, if an emergency comes up you can’t get out!!!
2. Unlock pool entrances and get more chairs!!!! Handicapped people have a hard time getting in and out. Kids running everywhere!! Very hard for older adults to navigate
Have a seafood Resturant onsite!! It would be great to not have to leave the campground!!!!

Lakewood is an awesome campground and the staff members here are friendly and knowledgeable. My brother in law had a newborn grandchild pass away on our second day here, and they had to leave of course. The campground and golf cart rental both refunded his money, and offered their sincere condolences to he and his wife. I thought that was very gracious of Lakewood to do that, and appreciate it very much. Thank you Lakewood!
P.S. Our site (#2018). If you're going to reserve this site, bring boards and plenty of leveling blocks because it is pretty soft sand at this site. Great site, just soft. Enjoy your stay, WE DID!

I would give this place 5 stars, but one of the main reasons we come here is because of the water park with the water slides, splash pad and lazy river... Which apparently are only open now on weekends when we arrived. So pretty much the whole vacation it was inaccessible. We did enjoy the beach that is right there and the indoor pool, but the indoor pool is heavily chlorinated and sometimes stingy and stinky. Plus even when it's warmer they don't open the top windows and side windows for the breeze so it gets stuffy inside. We do like the coffee shop, on site store, shaved ice, fried fish shack, fishing holes and ice cream Parlor that is on site. There is also Corn Hole to pay and basketball. The playground is fun for the kiddos too!
It's sad that businesses are so hard up for money theses days. I made a reservation at Lakewood 22 to 26 I found out a few minutes later the fates wouldn't work for us. Due to work times. I call to cancel and was told there would be a $25.00 fee. Which would be higher later in the season. It doesn't cost anything to push buttons. Other then that Lakewood is a nice location. Nice amenities. Just a little money hungry. Can't win them all I guess.
We visited Lakewood during springbreak with a couple of other families and friends. Campsites were in great condition with plenty of space. Staff was super courteous and professional. Access to the beach was simple and convenient. The waterpark being included as part of your booking is an absolute plus and our kids loved the water slides and splash park. The only knock would be the arcade. Each game is ridiculously expensive for each play. They could really lower the price per play.
Came here for daughter’s bday and totally easy way to spend time. Golfed & played in the arcade.
Putt was nice and a lot of fun. The arcade was kind of cheap and cheesy. $1.75 for one play on any thing is way steep for the games they had. Go carts looked like they were fun but we didn't do them.
Took 9 people and played some golf. Remember it's not miniature golf, it's golfing miniature! Great time. Nice course with some challenging holes. In desperate need of some TLC. A little more investment in the course could make worth the price tag they charge for it. As it was one of the more expensive putt-putt courses I've played that wasn't in Myrtle Beach, Orlando, Vegas, etc.
We have been to Lakewood nearly every year since we purchased our camper! It has become our happy place- where our now teens can't stop talking about when we can go back! They continue to upgrade and make it EVEN better each season! We chose Lakewood for the family friendly "just right" mix of shade and sun, activities and relaxation and it has yet to disappoint. The bathhouses are plentiful and clean and constantly being upgraded! The waterslides and pools, snacks, activity schedule for all ages are all bonuses to the serene clean location with excellent security and staff.
Bike trail was excellent meandering around the water and the golf course. Relatively flat with a lot of good views. Crushed gravel for the most part of the ride I took with a couple of nine-year-old boys on their bikes— and we did about 45 minutes worth. (just over 20 minutes in one direction before turning back to where we had parked at a pavilion area)
This Golfland seemed a little older... It was a Thursday. It was very empty during the day we went.
Arcade was ok. Bathrooms were clean.

Great place for schools! Multiple ski clubs come here after school! Great place for groups and kids! Easy to gather them and find them but yet great stretch of multiple ways down!
This place is falling into disrepair in a bad way. The courses weren’t super interesting to begin with, but now are in such a sorry state that it’s not worth going. It’s also very expensive! I paid $70 for me and three kids, for “18 holes” – of which one isn’t a hole really, just one shot (18), one is completely missing (no.13), one is broken (the moving parts on hole 12 have stopped moving) and many others were half broken or extremely dirty.

Nice slopes with lots of variety in difficulty. Well maintained and easy to navigate. Lifts are great. Chalet has some decent food and bar.

Fun place, I guess my opinion is kinda different, being I work there full time. It's a great place to relax and cool off. Plus, the alpine slides and go karts are a blast as well. Great food, wonderful staff just all around nice place b to spend the day in winter and summer

Great day with the kids at the water park. The only downside is the cost. I really wish they would support locals by giving us a discount. Even in the off season.
I go every year, has everything a kid needs to have a great time, it’s clean, at least the day I went wasn’t crowded. Love every single attraction, my favorite is the lazy river! I will continue going until my girl grows out of it. Parking is free. Food is decently priced but not as much variety: Pizza (inside the barn) fries, chicken sandwich and burgers.
We saw this place on a sign during a road trip earlier this summer. My husband decided to look into it when we got home, and thought it sounded like a great place to take the kids. This off-the-beaten-path amusement park was amazing. It backs up against the woods, so it does not have the concrete jungle feel that most amusement parks do. The pricing was fantastic, the lines moved really quickly, and the rides were phenomenal. They allow coolers and picnic lunches, while the concessions they offer are priced very reasonably. Honestly, I live less than ten minutes away from a highly regarded kids theme park, but I would prefer to drive over an hour to visit this place any time.
I'm not satisfied with their policy. The park is lovely and seems tailored for children, but I strongly dislike their policy for kids under 3. They don't charge anything for toddlers, but they limit their access to many rides, even if they meet the height requirements. They only inform you about this restriction when you purchase tickets, but they don't communicate that there are many rides which toddler is going to miss. There are several rides for toddlers with a height requirement of 36 inches or above, and most of these rides require parental supervision, making them safe for young children. It's frustrating that the park management doesn't inform parents in advance or offer the option to pay extra for their eligible toddlers. It would be much better if they explained this policy clearly during admission or through advertising. Additionally, there should be an easier way to purchase tickets for children within the park, considering that most parents visit with their kids in mind. It's disappointing when kids can't fully enjoy the rides they are eligible for due to this policy.

A little pricey BUT totally worth the smiles, laughs, and memories of my kids!! Precious moments!! Clean, safe environment and very family friendly! I would recommend and so would my kids!! Will be going back!!
My experience with Land of Make Believe was very fun with the family. The place is large and divided into a section for games and a section for water games. There is a children's theater. All this is included in the ticket. There are plenty of tables and chairs, there are ice cream parlors and restaurants. They provide you with lockers to put things in and they have three sizes but there is a charge. Accordingly the place is very clean and the water temperature was good. I advise when going to bring cash with you, because they don't have credit card payments. There is a cash machine outside, and you can also bring your own food and drinks if you want, and it is suitable for children and adults as well, and the place is open only during the summer period because the place is exposed, not closed
Loved it! I haven't been here since I was a kid! I brought my kids here today and they loved it too! Ultimate nostalgia! New rides added since I was last came here. They have picnic areas (you can bring your own food). They also have spots to buy food (pizza, burgers, chicken nuggets, fries, cotton candy, snow cones). Online price $34. Food is not expensive either. We spent the whole day here. The water park was great also. Staff was friendly! I recommend this amusement park. Fun for the whole family!
We had such and fun time here. They have lots of activities to choose from. We did Go-carts, bumper cars, mini golf, and laser tag. They also have arcades, a full Waterpark, and more. My kids loved shooting me up in laser tag. It was so much fun and I got plenty of exercise. There is also a kids jungle area where you can watch as your children run and play. We spent a lot of time in this area. It was parent rest time. :)

They have food options, but there are plenty of picnic tables to enjoy your own cooler of food. Bring an even amount of people for the water rides. One adult and two smaller (8 and under) kids couldn't enjoy the water slides.
Get a waterproof fanny pack for your phone and essentials. The large lockers hold a lot of stuff, so be sure to bring $22 ($10 is the key deposit) to rent one.
Overall, the park is a tremendous value for all that there is to enjoy. It was very clean and the staff was friendly. We really loved our visit and will certainly return. Thank you!!!

4. The life guards are competent. I don’t understand why some folks in the reviews see their strictness as a negative thing. I’m fine with getting the whistle for “petty” things so that everyone can have a good time and enjoy the pool safely.

Zero stars!!! Son almost drowned today between 6:20-6:50P. My oldest son was trying to go down the slide with his little brother. The lifeguard at the top of the slide said it was not allowed. The lifeguard told him that he (my seven year old who can not swim) can go alone and there was someone there at the bottom to catch him. My seven year old, who is still very devastated, explained that he tried to stop himself at the bottom of the slide to wait for his brother but the girl at the bottom told him to come out. He told her he couldn't swim. She told him she would catch him. She did catch him momentarily and then let him go. Alone. Not able to swim. Drinking pool water. Desperately trying to live. She turned her back. The lifeguard at the top never looked to make sure he made it to safety.
I saw the verbal exchange about the boys not being able to go down together but also saw what I thought to be capable lifeguards on duty. NOT! Not for my son at least. Very sad and very disappointing.
Luckily a good Samaritan was standing by to save him. Words can not express my sincere thankfulness to the gentleman who God allowed to see my son. I can't imagine the alternative. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

great place to bring the kids. there is a gated play area with sprinklers for the little ones. and area for kids with a jungle gym in about a foot-2foot deep water.

Came here on the 5th. Wasn’t supposed to rain. I am from out of town and came with a family of 9. We weren’t here for even a full hour and they closed and they made everyone get out completely. The we’re giving a pass for today but they don’t know if they’ll reopen and could close again for rain. We asked if we could Atleast get a pass for any day. The manager Leslie who went to speak with the higher manager, Todd. Todd didn’t ask any question/ and said no because we aren’t from here. He also said the policy is no refunds which I can understand. But you could at minimum have a pass for any day. He has no idea how long we are in town for. I could be here for the whole summer but did he ask no. Poor business because the park itself isn’t bad for the kids and they were having fun. This would’ve been worth the money if the kids actually got to enjoy.
The land of make believe is completely different and updated from when I last visited in the early 90s as a kid. To be all grown up and taking my kids was a blessing to see them enjoy it just as much as what I can remember.

Friendly staff, affordable, clean. Surprisingly wasn't packed with people. Perfect if you have small children. Very family friendly atmosphere
Amazing little amusement park. It has amusement rides and also a water park. Definitely a good place for kids under 10. Even though it is a small park, it is priced accordingly. The food was priced reasonably. Not a greedy owner unlike other family or corporate theme parks. Very friendly staff at each restaurant/kiosk.
The park has a kids safari (just a ride through the woods), lazy river, petting zoo, haunted house, train ride apart from amusement rides and water park.
They don't accept Visa and MasterCard cards. They accept Discover. Cash only at most places inside but they have an ATM.
Definitely recommend this place for a day trip.

There are two 18 wholes courses. You can play one or both. Took us around 1.5 hours to finish 36 holes on a Wednesday evening. There are less people and no wait time between wholes.

Great place to go and cool off in the summer. Cheap admission prices friendly environment. Could be open more often. 15 minute “safety breaks” for children to sunscreen and hydrate. Definitely worth checking out, our family had a blast.
This was the 1st time I went to the Hot Air Balloon Jubilee Festival!

There were thousands of people there, and everyone was enjoying the festivities..
Families brought their children, parents, and pet's..
Everyone was laughing, singing, dancing!
There were all different kinds of food vendors, vendors selling souvenirs..
It was amazing watching the balloons air up, and some were riding people. Some were flying up and around..
There was no one trying to take the fun out of the day!
It was honestly the best time I'd had in a long time!
There was no violence of any kind, thank goodness.
These days and times, the way people want to go around shooting in crowds and killing innocent people it almost makes you scared to go anywhere anymore!
I'm so thankful and happy the whole Memorial weekend was awesome!
We only went on Saturday but it was absolutely wonderful, we spent just about all day and enjoyed every moment of it...

Visited for Memorial Day weekend and the annual Jubilee show. Unfortunately not too many balloons went up when we were there. Traffic was a pain but not the nightmare one would think it would be. Many vendors though the food there was subpar, car show was a lot of fun as well. Overall, I recommend to get there very early and bring your own food or eat before going.
Has anyone looked at the hours? Closed Saturdays? Opened every other day for five hours and closed for one hour for lunch. Only a water park that is subsidized by the government could lose money in Vegas. The powers that be should be ashamed. This place should open at least 10 am close at 7 and have rotation so a 1 hour lunch is not needed. If this was meant for kids and families you have failed this place is closed more often than opened and unreliable... It is easier to collect a subsidized check than actually work
We went to the hot air balloon festival again this year and brought all of the kids. So much fun!!! And they've really upgraded point mallard over the years. Beautiful place, so much fun! Perfect way to spend memorial weekend ❤️
Home of the first wave pool. Memorial Day hot air balloon jubilee. Watching the balloons is free but they have lots of food vinders and they are expensive. The traffic is terrible ✔️
The Water Park is well kept but rarely used. Great for the kids but ppl constantly are asking "When does it open/close? It's hard to say but it's not used that often.
Very fun place to hang out with your kids. Lots of games, a rock wall and go karts. There is a nice putt putt golf area as well Nice size rooms for birthday parties though I would be very pro active on where you let your kids climb on on area of the jungle gym.

Their food is great. Cheeseburger combo is $14. Comes with fries and soda. A lot of runs packed in a small space. We have our own equipment so, It's $127 with lift tickets and taxes. Not sure what rental costs are.
My fiance and I had a wonderful time. They have an arcade a children's place clean restrooms and a beautiful mini golf course. They also have go karts and water slides (seasonal ). If you've never been. Check it out. Highly recommend.
Toddler Friendly! Has a small 1ft circular toddler/baby area. A small waterpark. Two mushroom waterfall things with a slope that goes to the pool and large water slides! Its very cool! For residents only, so you must be a resident or know someone to get in.
Beautiful area! I just wish they had more family friendly prices. $12 per person on the Alpine coaster per single ride is a little ridiculous! We spent 30 minutes in line just waiting to get to the coaster, the kids ended up enjoying their one ride down but being we only live an hour away I guess the season pass is a better way to go.

so so fun but mostly came for the toilet bowl but it wasn’t open and some of the staff that were working around that area were very mean to me i know i’m on the bigger side but they didn’t have to point it out when i was going down the 3 sides i got on the float and he said “wow ur a little heavy can u scoot up” i’m only 15 and i really took that personally i would have scooted up by myself anyways but yeah i had fun with my friends met some new people it was great
Went on a beautiful 80 degree Saturday! The water felt GREAT! Had a few lines but they went pretty quick earlier but picked up in the later afternoon but even then worth the wait. If you're looking for a great place to visit this is it!
We just came across Wild Mountain on our way to Wild River State Park. It was our plan to do the go karts. We paid 24$ for each person to have unlimited rides on go karts, free fall (jump from high platform onto a big airbag), and alpine sledding (You go on a small wheeled sled with a manual break and release stick, down a smoothed out cement course on a ski slope. And you take the ski lift up.) These are the dry rides. The other half is a water park. Or we could have paid 12$ each to go on the go karts for about 3 laps (5 to 10 minutes) only.
This is the best pool for families, myself and kids have been regularly coming for 3 yrs never an issue with pool goers or staff. Very family atmosphere!
I love this place, been going here for years. I live way in north town and still drive over there.
Hours of operation are incorrect. HOA cut hours to save money while not realizing the fixed cost is not worth the effort. 80 people just got kicked out early... How about you keep your responsible members from embezzling money and keep the pool open.
Summer Fun, It's that time of year again. As usual plenty of things to do sick as arcades, water parks, go cats, food, beverages and plenty more. I definitely recommend it as we have gone every summer for the past 4 years. It's hot so go and cool off.
Fun place for families to enjoy together. The course is colourful and has little obstacles to make it more challenging and exciting. It took us about 2 hours to complete our course. Everyone was friendly, but there wasn’t a wide variety of food available. Overall, a lot of fun, would visit again.

The water park section had a lot more than I expected. Wave pool, tube slides, lazy river, and splash pads and kiddie areas. This is a great deal for weekdays, $10 for adults. Prices for food and drinks isn’t bad at all. We will definitely be bringing the kids more this summer.
Pretty cool miniature golf area. You need to reserve online. Junior/ senior entry fee is around 12$ general adult fee is 13$. Lots of parking spaces. Inside the golf course, everybody was following the 6 feet rule and wearing masks. Even the golf balls and clubs are sanitized by the staff as well. They got 18 levels with beautiful settings. My family enjoyed the evening here. People were very friendly too they weren't rushing you to finish the game, they waited for us to finish. Especially when you go with kids, they will take a long time to finish the game and it felt good that everyone was very understanding. I will visit again to check the arcade game room. It was a little bit crowded though. But once you start the game everybody is dispersed. So it was fine by me.
This is a great campground right on Surfside Beach. Lower part of Myrtle Beach. I enjoyed all the activities they had including corn toss, shuffleboard and the mini golf course was the best. All included in the stay. This is an RV/trailer resort/campground.
Brookfield Zoo. Great place to be!
The kids loved it, it was a very hot day so the adults got relief from the heat as well.
Very nice place. Sprinklers for the kids. A big pool for the adults. One restaurant that sells hot dogs,pizza slices, nachos and iced cream. Loved the hot dog. Customer Service not so great.

It’s very good place for kids. SCR membership card required for the entry. Now this year pool management company also improved lot. Lifeguard are friendly and looks after kids well. They also have nice umbrellas and seating for family. Two slides and sprinklers also makes it fun for kids.
Nice family pool, and picnic area, outdoor playground for younger children, vending machine for beverages and a bathroom.
I haven't been here since August 2018 but we've been coming to Bensenville water park for 15+ years. I love it here! The staff is super friendly. The facilities are always clean. Everyone seems "on top of their game", including with safety. This is especially important to me because I have a 4 and 5 year old. My older son worked there for a couple years. They could pay their staff a little better because they do such a great job and they are a little pricey if you pay the daily rate 😊. The summer pass is definitely worth it. Their snack bar is fully stocked and reasonably priced. I would recommend it for everyone for single young individuals family's. My family will be attending for sure again this summer. ❤
Really good prices for some family fun. I personally like to go for the mini golf but they have a kid friendly arcade and water park/slides as well. Their games could use some updating as a large amount are geared towards younger kids but overall this place is pretty cool. I've seen several families have birthday parties as well there under a covered area with tables and benches. This place also has it's own parking lot so that will not be an issue.

They always rotate their shifts with 15' break. Why don't they just rotate and the other person rest without doing 15' break. My nieces and nephew has to come up and wait in 96 degree for 15' until they can play back.
Kids had a blast here. 3 stars because of one day we waited for an hour and a half to get in. They (workers/lifeguards) did not let people saying there was thunder and lightening, which no one heard nor seen. Yet the other pools in the neighborhood were open. Another day everyone was kicked out because they had to close the pool down for maintenance (lies) but opens back up right after everyone leaves, to let another group in. Be honest with the community that lives here.
A good water park for kids and adults. It's a recreational pool so don't expect to be doing laps. Has two big slides (must be at least 42" in height to use it). A kids splash pad and a "splash fort". Sufficient seating for about 50 people. The water park serves only community members; limited number of guests accompanying members are allowed. Parking can be an issue during peak times.

Great value for the water park if you buy a season pass and cup at the beginning of the year. Water park has plenty of attractions for all ages and all day fun. The festivals at Memorial Day and July 4th are great with hot air balloons, fireworks, car shows and more.
