We rented kayaks through Desert Adventures and kayaked to Emerald Cave independently. The process was easy and the trip amazing! I really appreciated a call from Desert Adventures when our inteded day of rental was forecasted to be extremely windy. They gave us the option of rescheduling, which was much appreciated! I'd definitely rent through them again.
We rented a canoe and a kayak from Desert Adventures for a self-guided two-day one-night paddle from the Hoover Dam to Willow Beach. Scott was our driver to our drop point. Holmes picked us up at the end of our trip from Willow Beach. Both were incredibly knowledgeable about the area. Scott made sure we were prepared for our trip, and Holmes was even an hour early to pick us up. Would highly recommend working with DA. Even their folks answering the phones were so helpful and friendly in helping us plan beforehand.
This Team was amazing. We had a chance to work with Estoban,Antonio, and Holmes. Antonio was our guide for the day. He was extremely knowledgeable of the route. Giving us history and making the 12 mile paddle educational and exciting. I will be going back to do an overnight camping trip. Don't risk waisting your time searching for another tour. This is it you have found it. I feel like I made new friends not just took a tour.
Absolutely loved our journey with Desert Adventures. They are a very professional company. We did the 12 mile black canyon paddle with our guide, Adam. He was absolutely amazing and very helpful and knowledgable about the geography and history of the canyon. We would never have seen the best places without him. We did the hot springs, echo cave, and the emerald cove. The lunch was great and filling. It is a longer kayaking stretch and hard if there is a lot of wind. I would recommend it to anyone who has at least done 1 previous flat water kayak trip. We also got bought some great artwork from Neil, that will help us remember this amazing day. Thank you all so much for all you do and being so kind and open to questions/weird humor. :) You were definitely the highlight of our trip so far.
Awesome place and people. Rented a snowmobile out of the Nampa location. Quick and painless process. Such nice people and so helpful! Will definitely be back! and your not renting junk. Sled was like brand new.

We Loved renting a Honda jet ski here!!! Better rates and faster jet skis compared to mile high and cheap thrills rentals. Staff were friendly and provided good service. Come here and save $70+ on jet skis :)

Worked with Travis today looking for accessories for my Nucanoe Unlimited that I plan to rig out for the 2024 fishing season. Travis was great and had a professional approach by asking what I was planning on doing to the kayak and how I planned to rig the kayak instead of making blind recommendations. He went through and showed me how they had the vast majority accessories in stock and assured me he could order in the couple accessories they didn't carry. It was truly a fantastic experience.
As for the store itself, it appears to be a true one-stop shop for kayak needs. Not only do they stock numerous brands and models(Oldtown, Bonafide, Native, Nucanoe, Crescent, just to name a few) of Kayaks for diffrent needs (recreational, fishing, etc), but the also carry all the accessories you may need from brands like YakAttack, Yakgadget, NRS, Nucanoe, multiple paddle brands, and more.
Based on this interaction I now plan to make the trip out to Rocktown Adventures (90 min) to acquire the rest of the accessories I need instead of purchasing them via Amazon or direct from the manufacturer.

What a gem. The trails are excellent(nice and wide) and the calm waters make for a wonderful paddle around the lake.
Well...according to Google they are open. However, you HAVE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. I truly wish their website and business hours stated that. This review is for people who still want to do a bike rental. Just plan a head.
Our family had a great time after renting 2 wave runners from Intermountain Power Sports. The drop off and pick up went great! Next year during our family reunion we plan on renting the pontoon boat with the slide and 2 wave runners!
What a great day. I called the day before to get more details on the different bike trail options from the Sandwich, MA location. The person I spoke with was SUPER helpful. I reserved our bikes using their online system which was very easy to use. They called to confirm the bike sizes for my kids and just to be safe, arranged for 2 different size bikes so we could decide when we picked up (above and beyond). Bikes were waiting at the shop just as described and they even left us an allen wrench tool so we could easily adjust the bike seat heights (which we did) and then we were on our way! We biked the whole Cape Cod Canal trail. It was a beautiful day and the bikes were in excellent condition. I give them a 10 out of 10 on customer service, friendliness, going above and beyond, great communication and the bikes were in awesome condition. Can't wait to come back and have more biking adventures on the Cape!
Tanner was a kind and knowledgable guide who even taught us some paddling skills (because we asked about our technique). He led a peaceful tour of the waters and we even stopped at the spit to walk over to the Sound side. Highly recommend the 2-hour kayak tour!
Great experience-- thanks to Kevin and the crew at Rocktown Adventures. We used their kayaking service, and Kevin was super helpful and friendly when expediting us to the drop-off point (Bauman Park) and informing us about how to use and navigate with the kayaks. Took us about 3 hours to paddle the Kishwaukee River where we returned to our car (the bridge at Atwood Park). Two guys from RA greeted us and retrieved the rented kayaks. Gorgeous river with plenty of nice views, calm waters, wildlife (turtles, mallards, geese, herons, cranes--maybe?), and an impressively tall bridge for the I-39 crossing that spans the river. Their kayaks seemed fairly new and in good condition as were the lifejackets and paddles. Quite an enjoyable and relaxing afternoon. Seems as if they offer other adventures and apparel/items related to the outdoors. Check them out.
Customer service was easy and quick, bikes and helmets worked perfectly. They have rentals from 4 hours to a day to a week long! If you're visiting Sandwich, would recommend this place to get bikes and bike along the bay and beaches nearby.
Easily becoming one of my favorite places to fish. Love that we don't have to deal with gas motored boats. Plenty of fish here. But the views are phenomenal! $5 per hull, and they offer canoe and jon boat rentals. Byo trolling motor.
Great service!!! Called to find out what size hitch I needed for their trailers so I could go buy one. They told me not to waste my money and they had one I could use for free. Nice to not get charged for every little thing. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. The dirt bikes we rented where in good shape considering they are rentals and ran great for us. Will be using them again next time I visit the area.
This was a thoroughly delightful experience. The young woman who assisted us was pleasant and helpful. The cruiser bikes are comfortable and easy to ride. The helmets were very comfortable. The Cape Cod Canal path is right across the street, and is a beautiful ride. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Super friendly, reasonably priced. They take you right out at your scheduled time and they pick you up when you call. No waiting for on the hour pickups. Really great part of the river, too!
Very pleasant staff. Everyone was friendly and curious. The whole operation was run like a well oiled machine. My family of 4 (2 kids 2 adults) took the 4 mile trip down the Delaware River. There are 2 longer trips and you can choose and you can use rafts kayaks or tubes. Great experience will definitely reserve another trip with Chamberlain again.
I recently rented a canoe from Chamberlain Canoes, and I had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they were very accommodating when I asked if I could bring my tiny elephant, Ellie, on the river with me. Ellie had a great time paddling along the river, and she even helped me steer the canoe a few times. The scenery was beautiful, and we saw all sorts of wildlife, including deer, ducks, and even a bald eagle! We had a picnic lunch on the riverbank, and then we spent the afternoon swimming and playing in the water. It was a perfect day, and I would definitely recommend Chamberlain Canoes to anyone who is looking for a fun and unique way to explore the river.

Service was excellent. We had to reschedule our kayak tour when we arrived later than expected at the last minute - the staff was friendly and accommodated us quickly and easily. Bike rentals were great also.
We had an amazing experience with Chamberlain Canoes from start to finish. My wife, son and son’s friend rented a canoe and a kayak. We were given a map with landmarks and our trip and options were thoroughly explained before we left the building. We went out on a Wednesday and didn’t have to wait long before we were on our way to the river. When we arrived at the river the driver explained how to paddle, rules and regulations, after he brought the canoe and kayak down to the water. We saw turtles, 2 bald eagles and their nests, herons, as well as other birds and fish. It was a beautiful and relaxing family day. The next time we go we will bring lunch and stop along the way.
My husband and I took the intro to kayaking class and had a fantastic time! John is great teacher, very easy going and made sure everyone was learning and having fun. The class was focused on safety and feeling comfortable, which are two important factors for us. Gene was also a great help and gave us good pointers. We're so happy to have Kayak East in the area.
This place is a gem! All the amenities you could need with relatively private campsites. Clean bathroom and showers. So many beautiful walking trails, and kayaking on the lake was so peaceful. Appears there are kayak and canoe rentals as well! I also loved how many garbage cans and recycling containers were provided throughout the campground!

I've been renting from Rideaway for at least the past 5 years. Customer service (drop off and pick up) is incredible and the boats are in great condition. I highly recommend Rideaway!
Go KIDSROCK, Best Camp Ever!
My wife and I spent were in pursuit of a Crescent fishing kayak. Rocktown was closest retailer to our home so we made the trek with our two kids. The trek (1.5 hour drive)…absolutely worth it! Great conversation, sharing everything they are passionate about, and as a dad, amazing interaction with our kids. Needless to say we are now all ready for Wisconsin waters this spring! We will make this trip for our next kayak purchase no doubt!
Happily writing a five star review for Rocktown Adventures. Travis and Paul at Rocktown were the best! They got us into the right kayak along with the right amount of gear to start. We drove about an hour an a half from Oak Park, IL and it was well worth the trip. Big thanks to Rocktown Adventures, Paul and Travis.
Campground is ok. Sites are private like a state park. Clean pit toilets. Bath house is nice, except you need quarters to take a shower!!!! Dump station is right as you exit. Hiking, and kayaking are the main attractions. We even saw a gentleman panning for gold!
Ordered kayaks online for pickup at the store. Received everything as described upon arrival. The staff offered a level of expertise and knowledge beyond expectations. Friendly dogo' to play fetch with in the store was an added bonus. Highly recommend visiting their online store but suggest a visit to the brick and mortar for a better understanding of each piece of equipment. Full line of clothing and accessories available make a trip to the store worth it.

Excellent family adventure! Our dog even joined us! Very nice staff, reasonable prices. Located about 30 minutes from where we camped at dingmans . Worth the trip before heading back to south jersey! 2 hour excursion with easy water not too rough and very shallow due to drought. Several small islands to stop and rest, eat, swim, etc. bring snacks . The kids enjoyed themselves, my shoulders not so much….
Looked like it would have been a nice paddle...but stand up paddle boards are not allowed! 🙁
Did a fantastic tour of the Staten Island ship graveyard. John is an excellent guide and the trip was the perfect length. The kayaks were already prepped when I arrived and the tour group had a great energy.

Wow! My wife surprised me for my birthday by renting a side by side. Best birthday present! We were so impressed by the power and ability of the machine we rented! Staff were very helpful! I would definitely recommend Intermountain Power Sport!
Despite several other locations throughout the area, the Key Bridge Boathouse is the biggest. It's literally under Key Bridge in Georgetown. After kayaking here several times, here's my take:
1) Activities: They have expanded beyond single and double kayaks into paddle boarding, camps, etc. They also offer kayaks during Fourth of July, which I highly recommend doing at least once while in D.C.
Recently, I took a kayak out for three hours to see the monuments. It was perfect! You can go north or south on the Potomac and can even dock at Roosevelt Island.
2) Service: It's pretty chill. They give you a life jacket and paddle and let you go out. They have outhouses, lockers, etc.
If you love kayaking, this is your spot!

This is a beautiful lake to paddle on, one of our favorites. Very clean, $5 to launch well worth the price. Clean restrooms at concessions and they do have kayak rentals. The ramp is nice but you do have to load and unload then park up at the concessions which is a bit of a walk up a hill.
Absolutely LOVE Rocktown Adventures! No need to buy and maintain a bunch of expensive outdoors equipment because it's easy to rent it all from them. I've enjoyed their cross country skis in the winter and their kayaks in the summer. They even will shuttle the items out to you if you can't transport them yourself (not everyone has a big truck). We arranged a guided kayaking group excursion for work and the guide was fantastic. Can't say enough good things about this place.
I have various trips with friends and corporate team building and they have a pleasure. Well planned beautiful locations and nice time.
What an incredible experience! The staff is very welcoming and eager to show you (with many pictures) what the trip will look like! They have one hour, two hour and, over 4 hour trips so they have one for every type of adventurer! They have a flat rate, so you can take as long as you want on the river. I can't wait to come back, my wife and I loved the experience! We also liked how we were put on a shuttle immediately after we arrived. We were the only ones in the shuttle so it felt a bit like a private booking. They really go out of their way to make sure you are put on the river as quick as possible.
$5 per person to launch kayaks here. They also have some for rent. Only bummer is having to walk back up a steep hill to get to the parking lot after you're done with boating. There's a circle where you can come down to drop off your gear

I went with a friend and her young daughter (both of which had never been). Unfortunately, the young daughter got two oars stuck in the deep mud when she fell trying to stand up. They must have been so stuck, they never floated. I dredged the mud (in the water you can't see into) trying to find both oars, to no avail. My friend knew she was going to have to pay to replace them, but was happy her daughter enjoyed the experience, and it was what it was - not a big deal, just a financial hiccup for the day.
When we returned to dock, we were met with a man in a yellow shirt (I'm assuming a manager or owner), and he immediately got an attitude and was rude with my friend and daughter. He was condescending, and even floated another oar just to chastise her. Also said it's never happened and they had to pay $150 - all very curtly. We already knew she'd have to pay for the oars, but to talk to an adult like a child, while making an actual child feel terrible...was just adding insult to injury - and a poor way of doing business. You can charge someone, or you can be a rude business manager/owner....you can't be both. Or at least, not and expect to maintain loyal customers.
The activity was great, but none of us will ever be going back to this establishment.

Easy - no friction to pick up and drop off the ATV. We rented a 4 place Honda to explore area around Silver City.
Great campground. Really spacious sites. The lake was great for kayaking. The hiking trails were all very well groomed. The campground staff were very friendly. Will definitely be putting this place in my top 10 campgrounds.
We hosted a kayak demo/trial at the pool where I work. This place was amazing they were so patient with the kids. We can't wait to have them back again next year.
Had a lot of fun at the campground and surrounding park areas. Lots of trails to hike and our site was right by the entrance to blue trail. The underlook area is beautiful, as are the well-maintained trails and the main park area near the lake. There was a lot of algae or we would have kayaked. Overall we had a great weekend here

I used their service to book kayaking class for my wife. She was hesitant but I wanted her to get feel kayaking. I called RA and threw all my questions and the questions that couldn’t be answered Dave called me back later in the day clarified everything. He did more than I expected out him.
On the day of kayaking classes, I was surprised my wife did not want to leave the group. She kept chatting and planing for her next kayaking trip. What I gathered from her later was she is was in total awe with instructors knowledge and the whole process of training.
I am so glad she wants to continue kayaking. A huge thank you to folks at RA who made this happen.

Great place for those who love hiking, nature walks, and for those rock and precious stones enthusiasts. A $5 daily vehicle pass or $30 annual pass is a small price to pay for such a beautiful place. It's also a great place to camp, only downside to that is if your in an R.V. make sure you fill your water tank, as they do not provide water hook-up only electrical.
I started going to this place in the spring, when the pandemic had everything shut down and they were hurting for business. Then this summer, as things opened up, they quadrupled their kayak launch price. I asked about that, and they said they could do whatever they want. That's true. So a loyal customer is repaid for their business with quadrupled prices and take-it-or-leave it attitude. That's not a good long-term way to treat customers. It is not a good way to repay loyalty. Their kayak rental prices are much higher than others around here.
There are other nearby spots, including at the park, that are much, much more reasonable in their prices.

Very easy to submit a reservation online. I had a question about something and emailed them and got a prompt response. There was three of us, each with a single kayak, and we kayaked for an hour. We all enjoyed our time. We went on a Saturday, so it was definitely busy around the park, and no parking available under the tunnel, so we parked a few blocks up and walked down to the boathouse. Definitely plan ahead if going on a weekend. They do have porta-potties on site. Overall, it was a smooth process and all the employees were accommodating. I would use this boathouse again.

We rented stand up paddle boards from Potomac and had a very enjoyable experience. They were helpful and quick getting us on the water. The paddle board area was very scenic and interesting. Parking was across the street and easy but did become full later in the day.
We rented a kayak today and had the most fantastic experience, the staff here were extremely friendly and helpful. The man (who I assume is the GM or owner) with the adorable brown lab showed us a map of popular kayaking spots that were easily accessible with pretty scenery. Even when we mistakenly mixed up the closing time he was unbelievably patient and kind. We recently moved to NOVA from Florida and Potomac Rentals was without the doubt the best place we have found to get our fix on the water. I HIGHLY recommend this place and we will be back soon!
Has lots of options for UMD students, but could use more space. Things feel cramped, especially when its busy.

Open all the spring and summer. If you are kayaking for first time, don’t worry. They team will give you perfect instructions on how to do it. Double and single kayaks are available. Not so busy during the weekends.. as the spot is a bit lonely compared to other rentals..

Awesome kayaking trips!! Been going on trips with John at Kayak East for about 6 years. Half day and full day trips on a variety of waterways; plus classes to continue working on my kayaking skills. My favorite trip has to be the full day Delaware River trip. John is very personable. Equipment is clean and good quality. Check it out.
Truly awesome experience. Brian and his team were great. We rented the 5 seater and it worked perfect for our family of five. Made the loop up to Silver City and back, everyone had a great time. Next time though I'd plan some extra time to get off the main trails and play around some more. The machine was amazing and had way more capability than i expected, even in 2 wheel drive. Another tip-bring a hard side cooler with latching lid. This unit has a small tailgate that can be lowered, making a nice flat area for packing some drinks and food.

A few days before my sisters wedding the bridal party got a wild hair and decided to rent some ATV's. We searched around and eventually found Intermountain. The service they provided was incredible. They were so accommodating and patient with us and treated us like family. They helped us in every way possible and help give my sister and her bridesmaids memories we will cherish forever. We had women with us from Jersey, the Bronx, and Los Angles who were blown away by the breath taking views we saw on the trail that was recommended to us by the employees at Intermountain. I will forever be singing their praises and recommend everyone check them out! Thank you so much Brian and crew!
Great kayaking on Menorial Day! We will definitely be back in the future. The prices are fair and they suggest to you in detail where you should and shouldn't go. We had a great time.
RSOP has a lot to offer students and staff at UMD. The gym is well equipped with free weighs and machines. There a dozens of cardio machines; tread mills, bikes, elliptical, stair steppers, and rowing. The gym does get busy especially on weekends and after classes. The rental center staff are especially helpful at getting you fitted and supplied for skiing, biking, skating, and camping. They also offer kayak and paddle board classes and expeditions as well as climbing and ice climbing.
Really good place for first timers trying out river rafting, the water flow is not too heavy but good enough in patches between. Its more like cannoing. There is kayaking too. You can relax and enjoy your weekend with family and friends. The used the bigger raft for 8 people and it was quite big enough. We completed 4 miles rafting and it was really good experience as first timers.
Best gym I've been in, just a bit too busy for my liking. The equipment is all amazing however. If you're a student I highly recommend visiting, just make sure to go early in the morning when it's slow.
It was a really nice camper cabin. I really liked the beds being in a separate room from the gathering area. The bathrooms at the campground were really nice. The playgrounds were great.
Gets way too crowded. The machines are too close together and there's nowhere to do Olympic-style lifts. Other than that, it's decent.
