Great Bikes - Wonderful Trails!

Super helpful staff! We left the chargers for our Trek e-bikes back in the cities. They let us borrow a charger so we could get back on the bike trails! A really great looking store as well!

We had a great time at Poconos Whitewater Rafting. We did the family rafting with our 8-year-old and she had a blast. The guides Madison, Creek, Kyle and others were great. It was definitely appropriate for younger children and the guides kept a good eye on everybody. All staff members, starting with the phone call to schedule the trip, were amazing and professional. Would definitely recommend and we'll be back soon for the Damn Release!
It was a really great way to see Central Park, and for us the only practical way in half a day (the park is huge).
We were part of small group bike tour run by this shop. One guide and about 10 people on the bikes. The guide was good, enthusiastic, full of info and kept the group together.
The pace was good, took us over 2 hrs to circle most of the park with several stop places to take photos and get some information from the guide.
It did not go without glitches, broken bike and a small accident at the end which was no fault of the company. The park is full of people and you need to be careful and make sure that you know where you are going.
Overall, it was a great fun.

I came to the place to adjust the bike height issue since I didn’t have the right tool. The guy here not only did that but also went above and beyond by fixing all the other issues. This place may even stay open until 9 pm if you call and ask them. Definitely will bring my bike here to have it serviced next time around
Bike packing around Lake Superior with equipment issues so googled for shops. Hit the jackpot. Stopped late afternoon for help. Staff didn't hesitate to stop work to help us out. Great service and advice with little charge. Had us back rolling in 30 minutes. Enjoyed chatting too. Nice vibe. May be back for ski season!
This place was amazing! From start to finish these guys are the best in the Poconos for whitewater rafting! First the free parking which is secure and easy walk to the check in. The check in process was fast and efficient! The hot chocolate was superior and a great way to start our day! The guides were excellent and prepared us well for our adventure! The life jackets, ores, and the rafts are in top notch shape. The bus ride to the water was fun and well ventilated! The water was great as we booked a dam release day but did it family style which means a great fun filled splash day down the white water then you have a. Amazing barbecue lunch with grilled hot dogs, Martin’s Sea Salt chips, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with lemonade/ water. The picnic area was clean and plenty of port o potties which were clean and well stocked with paper products and hand sanitizer. This is a top notch well oiled machine business! Wirth every hard earned penny spent! My family and I highly recommend!
This was such a great experience! It was my husbands 30th birthday and jay made our rafting trip so enjoyable and kept us updated on the history of the river, rocks, and terrain! Highly recommended!!!!
We chose to raft with Blue Sky in Glenwood Springs after searching for a good option for our 5yo. Great decision! We had a wonderful time with Marty guiding us down the river. She was wonderful with the 4 kids on the raft, calming their fears, telling river stories upon request lol and even adding in a few fun raft turns per kiddo request. It was so fun and we will definitely be back and hope to raft with Marty again!
Want to give a BIG shout out to Ski Hut in duluth MN. I was recommended to them by people in a FB group to have some minor work done while I was in Duluth. Awesome staff quickly adjusted my gears and did not let me pay for the adjustment even after insisting that I pay. I'm sure not every case will be the same. So don't expect free work. I sure wasnt. I Live near the twin cities but I definitely recommend them and will be going back next time I'm up in that area. Thank you Ski Hut.
Some friends suggested a weekend getaway, so we made a reservation at Pocono Whitewater for a Dam Release trip. We had an amazing day on the water. The whole process was seamless, parking, check-in, briefing etc. Our guides gave the briefing and we used every bit of information they gave us. What an adventure, you had moments of calm relaxing float down mixed with moments of excitement as you were challenged by the class I, II & III rapids. I can't wait to go do it again... We also did the bike ride the next day which was equally as fun. Kudos to a well run company.
The staff was so inviting and friendly. Bikes were perfect for our trip to Sausalito over the Golden Gate Bridge. Location is a nice distance from the bridge too. I couldn’t recommend it enough!

We had the BEST time! Our guide Gabbie was so knowledgeable of the river, gave us interesting facts and fun ideas to do in town. I called ahead because I was worried about rain. They were so great and put us on an earlier trip. So accommodating! You will not be disappointed.
My kids and I had an amazing experience with Blue Sky Adventures. We went white water rafting and Tonto and was our guide and fellow adventurer. He was the best we could have gotten. He calmed my daughters fears with his really funny and hilarious jokes…. “scouts honor”! Hahaha

We decided to go white water rafting last minute before leaving town and they were great about getting us on a boat last minute. Our guide Maddie was awesome! The rapids were so much fun! Will definitely come back here next time we are visiting Glenwood Springs.

After carefully reviewing a large amount of rafting companies, I decided on Blue Sky Rafting, due to reviews and pricing. We drove from Denver to Glenwood Springs and ran into an accident which had traffic at a standstill, so I called to notify them that we would possible make it around 11:45, I was told that that it's okay, they would figure something out if I don't arrive on time. Thanks for the assurance. We got there at good time and process was very easy. Jay was our Captain and he was very knowledgeable and experienced. Let's say this was a very enjoyable 56th birthday birthday bucket list check off for me.

After several bike shops declined to work on my somewhat quirky adult trike, Breaking Free gave me excellent service. H e took the time to figure our a couple of problems and the solutions and his pricing is eminently fair. I could not have been more pleased; I recommend him without hesitation.
Excellent way to see the town and then some. The shop will quickly and easily fix you up with what you need to get you on your way on an E bike. Jessica in particular delivered excellent customer service.
Its worth taking the ride up to Carbondale (12 mi each way) (stop at Whitehouse Pizza, you wont be disappointed) passing beautiful and diverse scenery along the very well maintained bike trail. You don't have to be back by close of business as they have after hours drop off too!

This is our first rafting experience and all family enjoyed. The staff is very helpful and always therenfor us to help and explain in details.
The whole trip is 8 miles and it took about 3 hr 45 minutes in the water and lunch break about 20 minutes. The bus ride to/from the rafting place is about 40 minutes.
Overall very smooth and nice experience and definitely 5 star rating. I recommend to everyone this for a day family fun adventure activity.

Really efficient check in/out service and really friendly staff. Great location for easy acces to bridge without having to navigate to much city traffic. The bikes could have been better serviced. The gears of one bike didn't work properly and the brakes of another where so squeaky that it became very annoying during the ride.
We had a wonderful time rafting today. Our guide Sage was above the top. He knew a lot and kept the ride interesting. Next time I'm in the area we will be going again
I bought a new bike in this place and when I got home I found out the front wheel is completely loose and took it back and the person in charge of the bicycle said is good so I took it back home an when I was trying to ride it the wheel was bad again and I took it back to them to return it and they said they can't take it back because the 24 hour retur policy now they got me waiting for almost 2 weeks for mi almost 900 dollars bike they did a bad job ensambling the bike and I had to pay for they mistakes is not fear
We had a good experience at Pocono Whitewater Rafting. Once you arrived and checked in, they will provide life jackets that is mandatory for everyone. They will then go through a safety briefing. Then you will take a 20 minute bus ride to where you board your raft. Your legs or bottom half (depending on how tall you are) will get wet when you get into the raft. Once you're on the raft, your group will be able to paddle between the staff in the front and the back. Staff was friendly, informative, and safety-oriented. You won't be able to swim until you get to the designated swimming sections. Water is cold, so you won't want to jump in unless you don't mind the cold.

Most of the time, the water is pretty still and requires at least a couple people paddling. Also, water can get shallow meaning you can get stuck on rocks which requires some effort to get out of. Store was not busy. I had to look hard for a fanny pack.
Easy check-in, bike sized for each of us, and shuttled to the 15 or 25 mile trailhead.

I don’t leave reviews often, but felt it important to call out (in the most positive way) this company. My family and I rented some bikes and were shuttled to our destination. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and were made to feel very comfortable. Cannot say enough good things about everyone we encountered, in particular Chris, who shuttled us to our drop off point. He gave us tidbits on areas we would encounter, the town we would be passing through, and hit a home run with his lunch recommendation. This was a highlight of our trip. Thanks guys!
We had a great time on our excursion. Shelby was our guide and did an amazing job. You arrive and check in, get your gear, then there is a safety briefing. You hop on a bus for a 20 minute ride to the river. We chose the Family Style White Water package. It’s 8 miles of river (not gonna lie it was tough physically) with a break in the middle for lunch. I would 100% recommend trying it if you’ve never been.
What a great experience! Super friendly and kind with a great merch selection. We were walk-ins and they had plenty of selection available; we were out the door in no time. 10 out of 10 recommend!

This was our first time here and we had a great time! I have an 11 year old a 9 year old and a 4 year old and all of us had a blast. It truly is fun for the whole family. My 4 year old daughter is also handicapped with a left leg amputation and the staff went above and beyond to make sure she was not only included but kept safe as well. Other places have turned us away because she is not “able bodied” enough in case of an emergency. But not this place! They put a guide on our boat with us to ensure her safety. I want to personally thank Alex (the guide on our boat) she was very professional,competent,helpful,friendly and amazing with the kids. She really helped to make the experience one to remember! So thank you Alex! We can’t say enough good things about you :) The staff are all very friendly actually. There are a lot of people in these groups and only a handful of guides. There is a bit of “waiting around” to make sure everyone has gotten their safety briefing as well as making sure we all stay together and nobody gets left behind. It’s wonderful just to spend time with the family out in this beautiful scenery, the “waiting” wasn’t even an issue for us we just heard some people complaining about it but with this many people on this big of a river, they need to put safety first. I highly recommend and will definitely be returning :)
Pretty pricey for bad bikes. The bikes were very hard (exhaustive) to drive and in a bad shape. The bell was not working and used. The grips were sticky and beyond used. And the staff was not friendly. All in all not a nice experience and we regret the rental.
Pretty fun, but there was a lot of waiting around. This is my second time going here, signed up for the dam release, the safety briefing was relatively quick, the bus ride over was pretty terrible. We were sitting for a significant amount of time. We were told at the beginning we would have our own raft (as a group of 3), but they joined us with another group of 3, so slightly annoyed, but the guys were alright. One of the guide kept pronouncing my name wrong. Overall was fun, I would definitely recommend at least getting the lower half of the wet suit and shoes if it’s cold, the top half seemed a bit unnecessary. There also seemed to be a lack of instruction, our group got ahead and the guide didn’t really give us any instruction. only other complaint is pricing on the photos, they tried to get us to buy 2 digital copies for $25 each (really?). Other than that most of the staff was pretty cool. Just wish it was a little more organized.

We hired two e-bikes and made it all the way to Tiburon and back to downtown via the ferry with plenty of battery to spare. The guys setting up the bikes were excellent and accommodated finding the right size and model for us. A highlight of our visit to SF!
Very fun to ride around the city and so much more convenient than the bus! Getting the bikes took no time at all and the staff were friendly and helpful. First day we rode through presidio park to Marshalls Beach, Ocean Beach, Golden Gate Park and the famous wiggle to the mission. We called to extend our reservation which was super quick and easy to do and the next day rode across Golden Gate Bridge to the Marin headlands. The bikes were perfect for the riding we wanted to do and fit well. Returning was quick and easy. I’d recommend getting a city hybrid bike as they have a larger gear range for the hills.
This was a fun experience. The only bad part was timing. We had somewhere to be at 3:30. I bought 3 ferry tickets, but should have asked for the schedule in advance. We also didn't ask where the ferry station was. We got a bit lost and had to ride back b/c once we found the place, it was a while before it left and we wouldn't make it. Crossing the Golden Gate was a bit nerve wracking. Overall, I did enjoy it, but could've saved money if I had planned better. Also, it was about a 12 mile bike ride there and back. Energy, fitness and strength wise I was fine. I discovered there are bones in my butt that a week later still hurt. Fair warning.
Mo was amazing! They are very helpful, they also have little docks where the customer can enter the specific type of gender, sneaker brand, style, and the specific sport the sneaker is for, in our case, it was cleated sneakers to play soccer as a birthday gift for my best friends nephew. ⚽️ We were greeted and directed properly, purchased the gift, and given a gift receipt. We definitely had a five-star experience.
Dave is THE guy for me for bike repairs. Incredibly nice, quick, and honest. He makes sure he understands what my goals are and takes care of what I need, unlike so many shops that pressure you into doing what's best for them.
My setup is really weird and rather than lecture me on it he took the time to just listen and understand it.
He also gives extremely fair prices and as I said fantastic turnaround times.

Have to say this was one of the best experiences we had during our stay in New York.
Our guide Dan was absolutely fantastic, not only did he get everyone involved across the multiple nationalities of our group, but he was also very funny, warm, approachable and professional. His knowledge about the park was brilliant. The tour was a nice pace and kept with the group. The bikes and equipment where all top notice as well. 5 🌟 review and very much deserved. My experience was good, just had to take a gift back to exchange the size. The employees was very helpful. I was assisted by two workers, one as I entered the store and the another while I was searching for the correct size. Great service as usual.
This place has the most experienced, knowledgeable bike mechanic I’ve ever met (and I’m old af)! I will only go here for bike work (and parts, too).

My dad and I had a great time on the half day mild raft adventure. It was a relaxing trip and the scenery was epic. Hannah was a fantastic guide (much better than Emily!). She told us and the others interesting facts about the area and stopped at a cool hot spring along the way. I definitely recommend and will be taking another trip with Blue Sky if I am ever back in Glenwood Springs.

This shop is fabulous! Dave spent time explaining ebikes, comparing models and helping choose the perfect bike for me. I found him to be very knowledgeable and helpful.
We bought bikes here and are so happy we did! We are beginners and wasn't sure what kind we needed, and Torch helped us pick the perfect bike for us based on where we plan on riding! He showed us everything about the bikes, how to use and care for them, and he also set up our bike rack. All the Staff members were so nice and helpful, 10/10!
Ski Hut staff was amazing! Cory, Noah, and bike shop were so helpful! I had a bike rack part shipped to their store and they basically rebuilt my entire rack and supplied parts so we could get on the road that day. Kuat racks are the best and customer service was excellent working with Ski Hut for our part replacement. Bike shop also worked in a bike tune while we waited- highly recommend! Thanks Ski Hut!

This shop has been nothing but AMAZING! I’ve been searching for an Ebikes for some time now but I can not decide what bike or style to buy. After two visits to the shop and many questions later I think I know what I want. The owner was more then happy for me to poke his brain with millions of questions. If your looking for a ebike I highly recommend taking a look at this shop.
Poor customer service
We rented 3 bikes and none of them were any good. The bike I was given, the drivechain would make a creaking noise every time I'd go uphill. My wife's bike wouldn't stay in the middle gear on the front ring, and would only use either the biggest or smallest ring. My son's bike started making clicking noises an hour into our ride.
When they first gave us our bikes, on both mine and my son's bike the brakes were rubbing one of the wheels. While they did fix them both; they didn't realize the brakes were rubbing until I told them, which indicates they don't do regular maintenance checks. This also makes me think that, if I hadn't complained about the gearing on my wife's bike, the next person to rent that bike would have the same problem.
Several of the helmets they first gave us had broken adjusters. This was easy to notice and they brought replacements before we departed the store, but this again calls into question their general maintenance/quality check process.
When we were returning our bikes, another couple were returning their bikes and reported that a pedal fell off one of their bikes.

Barish and Darryl were absolutely awesome. I bought a used hybrid bike from here. Barish let me ride the bike for the day to “test drive” it before I bought it. A week later, I had some self-imposed issues with the bike and they fixed it no problem. In addition, they fixed the brakes and adjusted the seat on my daughter’s bike free of charge. Excellent customer service! Great guys! Highly recommend this place
Bought some tires here. Great service! Mentioned I was having an issue with the back tire rubbing on the frame a bit. Got some good advice on how to fix it. The tires are fantastic and I don't have the tire rub problem anymore.

Their staff and the owner were both incredibly helpful, responsive, and knowledgable about which of their bikes might work for me, and they set me up on a great Giant! The owner even called around to other shops to other bike shops to find the pedals I was looking for when they didn't have any left.
Furthermore, the owner went above and beyond to drop off a part for the seatpost where I was staying in the valley as their shop was closed. I am floored by the generosity and helpfulness that was demonstrated!

We made a mistake with the reservation... (We ordered two more bikes on a group of 7 people) They did not refund us. Their politics are to give a credit -what we did not needed-. We don't like this customer politics. And also the guys outside, they check each bike as if you had stole something...
We've spent 3 days in Glenwood Springs and these folks made our vacation unforgettable. They made us a full package RAFT+PARK+POOL+Hanging Lake by bike at a very good price. We had everything scheduled in few minutes and all adventures were simply amazing. Great stuff, young, punctual, professional and full of energy and fun! Thank you folks! You are great!
We chose this company because of the reviews, however unfortunately it didn’t quite deliver for us and was a shame since it was our first time in NY. The actual shop is quite far from the park so not great if you can’t cycle NY roads. Our bikes weren’t the best, very worn out and one of the bikes the chain came off when changing gears. It took us time to fix this which eat into out 2 hour slot. When returning the bikes we were told that they have a helpline were they would come and fix issues but we were not told this. Although the Turkish owner was front and apologetic it did spoil our visit to central park.
Nice store , nice clothes and sneakers but service is nonexistent. I was looking to by all new gym clothes and stopped huto get sneakers first . I saw 3 employees in sneaker area and 1 other customer the store was basically empty. Well long story short someone asked if they could help me then proceeded to say hold on and left me waiting 15-20min. Then came back and left again. Then came back talking to other coworkers then finally brought me the sneakers I asked for.
And disappeared immediately those sneakers were not the correct size.
....blah blah blah...waited another 15 20 min before I saw him helping someone else. And left to take my business elsewhere.

I led a school party here in July. It was our first morning, we were running late and we needed 35 bikes. But the guys were great. They were relaxed about our time keeping and had everything ready when we arrived. The bikes were ideal. It made for a fantastic introduction to NY. Thank you. Strongly recommended.
Canyon Bikes was very helpful when I left a wheel at home. I got a used wheel from another shop, and they got me set up, even providing a spare quick release at no charge. Thanks!

Found it on the fly via google maps minutes after exiting subway. Walked in, booked a cheaper rate on line (that the shop offered on site) while in the shop, and we were on our bikes and in central park literally 15 minutes later. Quite friendly staff of one (Darryl, I think) made everything easy and fast. Great value and convenient. Although we didn't go over our rental period, the overage charges would have been cheap cheap... Definitely recommended! Enjoy!
i have rented a bicycle numerous times in New York and without a doubt this is one of the best companies. It's very conveniently located especially if taking the subway. Also the employees were extremely helpful. Would 100% recommend.
We had a great experience at Central Park Bicycle Shop. Very conveniently located, nice employees that gave us all type of details regarding the park and routes to take. Very well maintained the bikes and fair prices. We rented a bike with a baby chair and another bike with an extension for our 6 years old son and I can tell you this is an experience we will never forget ! Thank you Barish !
Just a great experience. We were worried about renting bikes after seeing so many bike rental people yelling at us in times square and the condition of some of the rentals. Well this place was awesome. We wandered on in a few blocks from the musuem of natural history and they had us on a few great bikes quickly. I bike a lot in Houston and these were cruiser road bikes by trek and giant. Great quality and we booked online saving a few bucks. We may just be back tomorrow!

We rented a tandem bike reserved on the same day and had nowhere to put the coupon code at checkout for 50% off, so I put it in the comments section. The 50% off is a SCAM. The owner says I had to reserve 24 hours in advance but there is nowhere on the website that says that. Anyway we had to pay the full $57 for three hours on a tandem and never got the refund.

We rented bikes from this bicycle shop today and I must say that these guys are the best of the best! If you are looking to rent bikes to explore Central Park in New York City look no further - they had brand new comfortable bikes and they are located only 2 minutes from Columbus circle and the Apple Store!!! Our friend took a Central Park bike tour and they have loved it as well. A must thing to do when you are visiting new york NY! Thanks Cycle Central Park .
Helpful, friendly service. Bicycles are fairly well maintained. Helmets and locks provided. The shop's location is only an easy three and a half block ride from the 77th Street entrance to Central Park. We went for the two hour rental and were able to ride the outermost path in Central Park as well as make several 5 min stops at some of the key sights.
As a California native, I've always wanted to experience the whole movie-like "riding a bike through Central Park" thing. So when I visited NYC for my internship, I looked up Cycle Central Park and went for it! As you can tell by the 5-star rating, I'm glad I did!

They didn't just give me a bike and say "have at it," they provided detailed info that helped me maximize my experience. I was obviously a New York newbie, so they gave me the scoop on what was nearby and how long it would take me to get there. I was even directed to the nearby sandwich place at which I had what may be the greatest pastrami EVER (and that's saying something).
The bike itself was in great working order with no problems, and I was able to legitimately save money by purchasing their Yelp Deal via smartphone before walking in. I was given a lock for my bike as well, so I could enjoy my pastrami without losing the merchandise! The return process was quick and easy, my only regret is that I didn't have more time to spend seeing as a Central Park biker.

They have bicycles of all sizes and colors, so part of the fun for my sons was just choosing and comparing their bikes; they felt like they were little adults buying cars! The staff was friendly and funny, while being informative at the same time. We took one of their guided tours to make sure we had the most engaging experience possible.
While on our tour, the guide catered to my children very well since it was obvious that
they were my focus. The explanations and stories he delivered were easy for them to understand and kept them involved the entire time. I was able to not only enjoy the serenity of cycling through Central Park, but enjoy watching my kids' excitement at taking their first guided tour!
All things considered, Cycle Central Park is a great value for the price. They have plenty of other kinds of bikes other than the traditional ones, which we will definitely have to try next time. One of my sons just recently learned how to ride without training wheels and is still a bit shaky, and I was impressed by how much patience the staff had with him.
