Best Swimwear stores in United States

Torrid is my favorite (and the best I have found) for plus size fashion (size 10-30). The prices can be high at times, however, the quality is great (and there are always clearance options as well as promotions throughout the year). I really appreciate the variety of options, too - from professional and formal pieces to swim to lingerie to punk to Halloween costumes and everything in between - Torrid has it all! 90% of my wardrobe is from Torrid and I often get compliments on my fun and unique outfits. As a plus size woman, it is challenging to find OPTIONS and this can be very frustrating and disheartening. Torrid has never let me down. The sales staff are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I will continue to support Torrid as this store and it’s clothing has helped me to embrace being a fabulous woman at any size. Thank you, Torrid - highly recommend!

Nice selection for Tall women!

I do like the store a little not my ch selection their return policy is not ok folks misplace or lose receipts it happens they still refund but on store credit only if I'm not happy with the first thing I certainly don' wantt a second item they don't back their customers well I don't personally care for it give folk back their money's I've read a few complaints on this very issue

My sister brought me to this boutique since she was a regular customer, but after today's experience, we will not be returning. I tried some pants on, I took a small and a large since I am a medium, but they did not have any mediums in the colors I wanted. As soon as I walked out of the fitting room, an employee approached me and didn't even ask if I was taking any of the items she just went ahead and took them from me. I sat down as I was going to purchase a few items and I was waiting for my sister to step out of the fitting room. She had already been rude when I tried to try on a white mesh shirt saying “We don't allow people to try on any white shirts”. My sister offered to bring another color so I could try it on and she quickly said “We don't allow any mesh shirts to be tried on, it's a store policy”. I was okay with it as I respect their policies. The situation quickly escalated when she asked why I wasn't taking any of the pants. I never said I wasn't purchasing any, she just assumed. I told her the small one didn't fit and she quickly said “That's what I thought” so I was confused she then said, “It's just a coincidence that you tried it on and it now has a hole, I'm just saying”. I told her the pants didn't even go all the way up when I realized they weren't going to fit so I took them off. She then proceeded to say “Why would you take a small and 2 large, it's common sense”. I told her she was being very rude and her response was “You can leave, I don't need your business”. I'm glad she doesn't need our business, but maybe she should work on her attitude, there was no need to be rude for something that wasn't even damaged and will most likely be back out on her sales floor. Unfortunately, I did not get to take a picture of what she described to be a damaged/hole in the parachute pants. I hope my review can help other customers when choosing to shop here.

Natalie and Alondra were great at helping out in the fitting rooms. They were swift at getting correct sizes. If an item wasn't available in store, Natalie checked that it was online and offered to order it for us honoring the same sale price. Thanks Ladies!

I get all of my swimsuits here. They fit well, and they last- plus they are really cute.

I was trying some clothes and the lady just looks so desperately to close the cashier and leave. (Poor customer service) Dallas Marciano store. I came all the way from Houston just to buy my clothes… I asked if I can order some shoes and she is like we don’t have your size without even checking on the computer I purchased mostly all the time at Marciano and never got this experience in other stores she didn’t even ask for my phone number to put it in the system. Ended up buying anyways because I really like the clothes but I will NEVER come back to purchase in this store. Zero zero zero

I was just in the store, and there were four Associates at the desk. While I picked up some items to try on and walked back towards the fitting room, 2 of the employees looked at me and said absolutely nothing. How can you run a retail store and don't even acknowledge a customer? One continue her conversation saying that it was going to be her last day on saturday. Terrible experience and won't patronize a place that doesn't bother to speak to me.

Had to find my granddaughter a sweatshirt favorite color blue.60 percent off.originaly 60 dollars only paid 23 for it going to be good for her winters in ohio.

Won’t shop at torrid anymore. I normally buy online cause the sales are good and many options. Sometimes these items don’t fit and I return them to this store but every time I come in they seem burdened by my returns for some strange reason.
I came in once and tried to return a pair of underwear that I bought online cause they didn’t fit.
And I know you can’t return the panties you buy in store but I got them online and showed them the receipt and said it could with the barcode. I then said I’ll just do it with fedex after that.
I went around to shop more cause I went there to shop after my returns and the lady at the counter said awe it’s okay in a condescending tone cause my baby was upset.
I bought a pair of shoes recently and they didn’t fit and I didn’t feel like going to this store to return them cause of the customer service.
I mean I can shop anywhere else cause I still fit in sizes at other stores but other women who shop there probably can’t.

The clothes are expensive and I was always cool with that but not so much with customer service. I also work in customer service and am really nice so I don’t understand the behavior.

I have been a customer here for years, I recently bought a dress here with multiple wardrobe malfunctions, which I didn't notice until I got to my destination. It ended up being a very embarrassing event, so much so I kept trying not to be in public eyes and kept to myself by a corner.. I went back to explain this to them, but they kept brushing me off and didn't want to help me out even with store credit. Mind you, this dress was $300 I can't believe this is how they have treated a loyal customer...

Felt very embarrassed when I was suggested to take a look at the clothes in the back if I could find my sizel I believe plus size is in the back. Which is funny because I wear a size 10 which is like a 16 to them. Store was unorganized and the person working there wore to much cologne.

If there is a zero star, I'd rate it zero. Customer service is very bad, the fitting rooms were closed when the store wasn't closed (told us that they would close the fitting rooms right after these people are done), didn’t get welcomed to the store, nor did anyone ask us if we were looking for anything.

I found the shorts I was looking for. I hope the ladies have a great time ice skating.

I was looking for a windbreaker with a hood, but didn't find one. I bought a pair of Sketchers athletic shoes with a nylon upper and Goodyear soles; they fit well and were marked $40; down from $70. I bought a box of Teavanna Tea in Pineapple Mango flavor--it's scrumptious! They have bedding, Kitchen, Children's, Women's, Men's, Pets, Packaged Goods, Candy and many more departments. Merchandise is different every day, so if you see it for a good price, you'd better pick it up!

The store smelled of straight sewage.. I was suffocating under the disturbing scent .. it definitely make for an uncomfortable shopping experience. I didn’t even get a chance to browse as I planned too since the smell was so over whelming. They need to seriously get that Stench checked out.. I am not sure how the workers are able to pull a full shift there.
It’s wild cause people have been complaint as far as 6 months back..

Was shopping for a bomber type jacket with little to no collar and no hood, after checking at many stores I checked at Tommy Bahama Galleria Dallas store and found what I was looking for including size and color with help from the staff.

I too have been coming to my “favorite store in longboat” for over 20 years. I will not shop here again as well. There used to be a lovely woman there that just made the experience better. Then last year I too experienced the mean one who insults every customer and I am not exaggerating. If you are a teenager or young adult, she says “where’s your parents”? Loudly.. One young man took a photo of a shirt he was thinking about getting for his dad and she yelled at him no pictures and then he got a lecture like as if he was 4 years old. Embarrassing to say the least of it! . I noticed the NICE young man was sitting at an outdoor table at the coffee shop WITH his mom after he basically got kicked out. . I normally would never do this but I went over to him and told him he didn’t deserve that tongue lashing and he was not doing anything wrong.This year I heard her speaking to a young woman shopping for plus size suits, saying that the suits she was looking through were for petite figures. One time I confronted her about treating people rudely -especially young people-because I just could not believe it or tolerate it. These are young people with money-they don’t need a mother. In 20+ years I have only seen people shopping who were quiet and just minding their own business. It’s awful. I cannot tolerate that behavior from this person and am shocked she continues to be there. Never again at that store. She is the one who needs a lecture.
I have NEVER written a review like this one, but this is unacceptable in anyone’s eyes. It is shocking, to be honest. I won’t go back to this store again, but I did enjoy it for many many years .

Not one associate acknowledged me when I walked in. They were too busy talking to each other about their weekend and actually gave me a dirty look like I was an inconvenience to them. The store was in terrible shape. It looked like a swap meet with little variety. I was actually surprised by this being a factory store. I worked for AE for 8 years, primarily in the factory locations and I have never seen a store look this bad.

I love shopping there. You never know what you will see. I usually end up walking out with items that were not on my list. Employees are friendly. Store is clean

If you need a size 2 or 3x this is the perfect store to shop in, the clothes are up-to-date and fresh, and I can't say enough about how helpful the staff is!

Shopping here with my college aged daughter today and was SUPER impressed with the helpfulness of Natalie. She was working the dressing rooms and was making thoughtful suggestions and bringing additional sizes and styles based on my kid’s selections. She made shopping here such a GREAT experience. I truly appreciated how much she cared and connected with the guests. The store is also clean and well organized. I’ve never experienced an American Eagle of this caliber. Will definitely be returning next time we’re in town.

I went this morning right when they opened. And this wonderful young lady was all by herself. And at first I was like damn this is going to be horrible. But!!! She handled it like a boss! She was amazing! And I now will not go to any other torrid! She was fricken amazing!!!

I stopped in looking for a few t-shirts to buy while I'm here in Dallas on a business trip. I found several I wanted, but they did not have my size in any of them. The staff was helpful, saying they could order them and have them shipped to me, but due to only being in town for a few days that didn't help me. Hopefully they can retain a sufficient stock of various sizes in the future..

Little sister came home in tears after being hounded during her shopping experience by a middle aged male clerk about whether or not she would by anything when attempting to try on clothes. He told her she could not try on clothes unless she was going to buy something, which makes no sense? how else would she know what to buy. This man then was waiting for my teenage sister when she exited the dressing room and told her she had to buy something from the pile of clothes in her arms. My sister then asked where to set the excess clothes she didn't want and he responded with a short and rude manner. She feeling pressured to buy a pair of jeans she didn't even want after her time there, that we'll now need to return. wouldn't recommend this location, better off going to the mall.

One of the worst guess stores I could come across...again is it my skin color?! Do people not like me cause of my skin color or my energy or what?!?! Avoid..Avoid...Avoid!! Maybe cause I look Hispanic doesn't give u the right to treat People awful!!! Avoid unless ur white I guess!!

Well organized. But um... it reeked like mold and dirty feet. I'm sorry but the smell was so suffocating I had to exit the store. Not much more that I can say.

My son made a haul today. 3 pairs of jeans and 1 pair of sweats for $200. Not bad. Great sales right now. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We came here on 08/27/22 myself and whole family felt so uncomfortable the manger on this store and two other lady’s were so rude to us. The manger seem like she didn’t want to sell!! she was giving all my family attitude I’m from a Hispanic family they made us feel like we couldn’t afford this place. It’s really ridiculous I’m so upset the fact that we couldn’t shop in peace. I hope the manger gets the proper training and education on how to be friendly with customer especially as a manger

Forever under twenty is my to-go store. This store is perfect if you want cute clothes for an affordable price. They don’t only sell clothes but they sell sandals like the pictures below, accessories, boot heels, heels, lashes and more. This store is also perfect if your pregnant. They have a variety of cute stretchy dresses, leggings and biker shorts to feel comfortable, cute and it won’t hurt your baby bump. That’s where I get my clothes for my baby bump.

This store is my go to for everything! They have sizes from small- 3xl

The only reason this place is getting 2 stars is because they had cute stuff. As far as customer service, I wish I could give 0 stars. The lady running the place was extremely rude. Didn’t greet us, but was polite to everyone else. We spent over $50 and she said she couldn’t break $100 cash, yet she suddenly was able to give us change when we said never mind. Had a terrible attitude the entire time. There’s plenty of places to spend your money on this island that will appreciate it. Don’t choose this one. We will never be back.

We came to look for summer shorts and had tried on a few things. Janelle was so informative and friendly! She helped us find the sizes we needed and even let us know the deals and promotions that were on the specific clothes we were trying on. She also checked on us as we were shopping throughout the store. Great customer service! She deserves a raise!!

I wanted to thank that lovely staff by their company web site but I could not enter it. So let me thank them I present my gratitude from here. I shopped on 6 May from that store. The lovely manager lady and the helpful man wearing summer hat were very polite and assisted me with smiling face to pick my summer clothes. They showed me the chicest clothes that suits me. That was a very nice summer shopping experience for me. The staff and the products are tremendous.

I needed a new bathing suit in a hurry when on vacation in Sarasota, FL. I found Swim City and I'm so glad I did! They had a big selection and I found a perfect fitting, comfortable bathing suit.
They're customer service is very good and if you buy online, their website is easy to use.

The store is cool. My review is based off they're hiring practice. My son was hired last summer (1st job) & was NEVER put on the schedule. He was told they'd let him know when he would be on the schedule. After two months of asking when he would be on the schedule he just stopped asking and found another job. They had both of our phone numbers along with his email & noone ever reached out. For all we know his employee number might still be active. The not so crazy thing is as much time & money I spent at that store I NEVER noticed not one employee who resembled my son, NOT ONE.

Marshall was absolutely amazing!! I was a first time shopper and he helped me find my sizes and explained everything so clearly. He was so kind and made me feel welcome! So glad he was the first person I met during my first experience shopping there!

They had a wife variety of clothing including for plus size women! And the clothes are super cute and affordable! They even had cute eyelashes and sunglasses <33 Definitely coming back

In these days of waning customer service, it was a terrific surprise to fine such excellent service. I was greeted at the door, escorted to merchandise and assisted at the fitting rooms. Extremely well run. Congratulations on your very fine work!

I never know what I'm expecting when I go in because their inventory changes so rapidly but that's part of the fun. Employees are always friendly and helpful. It's actually part of the mall with access to the interior. I wish that there were more shops in the mall here and don't really understand the mall hours. Parking is usually easy to find. Returns are straight forward and they have a hold plan in case you find something you'd like but have to wait another day to pay for it.

You know how sometimes you feel "at home"? Well, the gals working here make you feel like old friends. They are SO helpful. I love that Torrid has new clothes come in all the time. It's keeps everything fresh. Overall, this is one of my go to stores. Sure, some of the clothes are geared for a younger crowd, but I can always find something I love. Not bad for a 50 something gal!

I went into American Eagle having been my first time there, not knowing what to get, all I knew was I wanted jeans. My husband and I were greeted many times and even helped by a young man (all I remember is he had a red hoodie and blue shorts) but he was very sweet and patient in helping me pick out some jeans and shirts. He helped me out at the registers and helped us save some more money at the end of our transaction which I loved!! It’s nice to be at a store that values their people so much. For sure won’t be my last time shopping!!!

I was very lucky to enter this Barstow Outlet. I found Guess Factory and was very well attended by the salesperson who accompanied me helping me with sizes and styles. The store was super organized and clean, I had nothing against it. I think it is worth stopping at this Outlet when you are on the way. Near it there are a variety of places to eat.

Bought some pants here a couple weeks ago. I couldn’t go back to return because I live pretty far.
On the first wash my pants are already falling apart very cheap material!

Upon entering the store I was immediately profiled. When I walked up to the register no one greeted me; one employee went to the back, the other two stood behind the register counter working on there tasks.

I asked to do a return and both employees looked at each other before acknowledging my presence.

Ariana, took the receipt and immediately inspected the dress, which was wrapped in tissue paper. She flipped the seams inside out to see if the tag had been tampered with.

Ariana took my receipt and then asked why I wanted to return the dress. I told her it was because of the fit.

Ariana then said that she was not going to accept the return because the tag looked split, despite it still being attached to the dress. So I asked to speak to manager on duty, to which she replied she replied that she was. Next she claimed the dress also smelled like food, but Ariana was wearing a face mask covering her nose. The manager on duty Ariana, created a story to justify not honoring the return policy with the food smell comment to prove that I did in fact wear the dress and tampered with the garment tag.

There is no physical evidence of the dress being worn or damaged.

Before calling customer service, I asked Ariana to confirm her statement of me of wearing the dress and reattaching the tag. Ariana replied saying yes because our other tags don't look like this. She then directed me to contact customer service because her decision was final. I promptly did, where I spoke with Luis, and allowed her to speak with him where he took her statement and she repeated that the garment smelled like food and that the tag did not match the other dresses in house.

Following the customer service phone call I immediately began taking photographs of the dress on the store's couch next to the register when I noticed that all 3 employees were making comments in another language.

After taking pictures of the dress I asked for the original bag back to pack up and leave. Ariana and the other two employees started laughing and speaking in another language again as I was walking out the store.

Again, I have never purchased a dress from Guess or Marciano prior to March 25, 2021. I would like to also note that the only times they spoke around me was in another language.

Marciano's return policy on the receipt states:

"We accept unworn merchandise with the original receipt and tag attached for return or exchange up to 14 days after purchase. Merchandise must be in suitable condition for resale. Refunds for returns of full price merchandise will be issue in the method of original payment."

I brought back the dress, unworn with the original tag attached and the original receipt. I am requesting a full refund having met each of these requirements. They have a history via the reviews of unethical business practices including racial profiling, discrimination on return policy and horrible customer service.

We went to Swim City in Longboat Key today, and they had a fabulous selection of bathing suits and cover-ups . What wonderful buyers they must have, to do such a good job. I only went for one suit, but ended up buying two suits for myself, and a Tommy Bahama shirt for my husband. Liz who ran the store was extremely knowledgeable and so helpful! I Will definitely return on my next visit to LongboatKey.

Swim City is the best! My daughter and I had gone to four other swimsuit shops before we made it to Swim City in Longboat Key. They have the best selection of sizes and styles for the full-figured adult.

We had a great experience at swim city today! The store clerk was so friendly and welcoming and just lovely. The selection of swimsuits and clothing as well as accessories is exceptional and priced about what you’d expect for Longboat Key. All in all a very nice experience at a cute shop that included service with a smile. Thank you!

I love this place. It is affordable and the staff is always nice. The stuff they have is pretty great. Love the kids clothes. They were the only place I could find pants that fit my son properly.

I went to the store today to return an item I brought there a week ago. First, the lady was extremely unfriendly and cold. I couldn’t find my receipt. She told me there is nothing they can do if I don’t have my original receipt with me. So, I went outside to call customer service and was able to get my receipt via e-mail. When I went back inside, the lady was lying to me and told me that she talked to her manager. Apparently her manager said that I was not able to return the item because it has some water stains and it’s a bodysuit. Sounded she was making up some reasons why they wouldn’t accept the return. I asked to talk to the manager but she was lying again and told me that her manager is at a kid’s birthday party. I spent 30 minutes on the phone to get my receipt! She literally just wasted my time and kept lying about stuff. When I asked her, what I should do now she just told me to call customer service in a very disrespectful way. Look if you work at a clothes store, you ARE customer service! I guess they don’t have to worry about customer service at all! Will not go back and happily spend my money elsewhere.

50 /100 not to many things but is ok only thing super bad smell like dirty water

I went into this store with a friend, as we were shopping for Last minute NYE options. I found a dress that fit very flattering and was a great quality. It was available in two colors, red and black. Being unable to decide, I figured, why not purchase both and return whichever I do not wear. So on to the front desk we went. I put the dresses on the counter, and noticed that one of the straps on the Black dress was torn, so i asked if they had any others in the back that it could be swapped out with. The manager stated, Yes, i will grab you one. She put it on the counter when she returned, and made a very odd remark - "By the way, we will not accept any returns of merchandise that is worn/not resalable/damaged." I responded that that was completely understandable and would not be an issue, as i had other options to try on from an online order when i got home that day. If it was not going to be worn out for NYE, it was being returned. A $170 dress, mind you. They have a very standard return policy - 30 days, tags attached, unworn, with receipt.

Well NEWS FLASH - They completely deceived me on this purchase. I took both dresses back to the store a week later to do my return, since i had gone with a $60 dress that i ordered online for my NYE outfit, and decided not to wear/keep the $170 dresses (plural, since i purchased two at that price). When i laid the dresses on the counter with my receipt, the "manager" began to inspect the dresses. She stated that one of the two dresses appeared to have been worn and had been damaged (the Black one of course, that was grabbed from the back of the store on my behalf by the manager a week prior), and that the dress was not resalable and could not be returned at that time. Side note: The black dress that was given to me from the back of the store never got put on my body! So they "sold me" a "warn and non-resalable" dress to begin with. I don't know if I’m more frustrated by the fact that I cannot return the dress for my refund of $170, or that I am now stuck with a damaged dress that was sold to me in that condition.

Bottom Line - I will never purchase nor recommend any Marciano or Guess clothing to friends or family. The staff here is incompetent and has very poor customer service skills. That is your job – CUSTOMER SERVICE - That's all you have to do. So take some pride in you umteen dollar an hour job, and be kind and compassionate to your customers. This was the worst experience i have had with a standalone store in Galleria. I am sure there will be another store in its place in no time.

Oh - And Guess Customer service whom i called for assistance with this matter, told me they would send me an email with a Prepaid return label for me to ship the dress to the warehouse for a refund (as long as i emailed them photos of the dress for review). I never received any email from them whatsoever. So chalking it up as a loss, keeping the "damaged" dress that i overpaid for, and taking business elsewhere.

I was there today and I had a bad experience I have two shirts for 25.00 and I grab the two shirts from the same rack ,but at the time of paying she told me one is two for 25and the other one is two for 35 I and up paying like almost 40dlls. Is just a dirty trick of them to make you pay more is not a honest business because if they keep doing this the store is gone close for good the customers don't come back.

DO NOT SHOP HERE! Costumer service is absolutely horrible. They are beyond rude. Went to the mall with a friend, while I was in the apple store my friend went in there to just take a look around. The sales lady asked if she was shopping for a friend and when she said no she replied with well we don’t sell anything big enough for you.

Here’s a great idea, even if you don’t sell anything big enough for her (she’s not even big) how about shut up. Maybe keep to yourself? Perhaps ponder your own self worth. She’s a smart girl. She can figure out if you don’t sell her size with out having someone go out of there way to make a tactless remark.

As for the store you should probably look into hiring better employees seeing as your current supply is quite loathsome and pitiful.

My favorite colognes here! As I get older, the more their clothes fit my style!

I am so happy they opened this Torrid store. I love that it's not inside a mall and I can find fast parking almost outside the store.

Just left. There were four employees gossiping at the front of the store with their backs to the register. No cashiers so we waited for assistance and no one came so we ended up just leaving. This staff sucks.

Good selection of clothiy but a little pricey. Knew that going in but still spent a lot of money anyway. The staff was extremely helpful and courteas.

I’ve had many great experiences with this store. The employees were very friendly, efficient and assisted me throughout my entire shopping experience. The prices are generally really affordable for the quality items you are getting and their sales are amazing. It has been one of my favorite go to spots if I need to get anything that looks good and I know will last me for a long time. The store was always clean, the items were always neatly packed and it was very user friendly. It’s really a nice place to get your shop done.

Staff was rude and unhelpful as if I couldn't afford to shop in their outlet store. I left before it turned into a racial issue.

The low reviews were old employees! The store has new management and sales associates. I've traveled to shop at this location several times and never ever disappointed by the friendliness and helpful staff. The ladies here are awesome. I went in for one dress and walked out with three great pieces!
Will be returning to shop soon!
