They hired us for their open house. We fed the people for free. The staff was amazing. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Definitely would do business with them again💐

Watched RENT here. The performance was AMAZING! The quality of the show was just as good as any Broadway production I've seen of it. It's a small theater with big impact.

We came here to see the musical "Rent". The theater is small, but that is its strongest asset. Every seat you'll sit in is a "front row seat" in my opinion. The sound design was amazing, the set design was made to make us as the audience become one with the environment the characters were in. As a musician/singer myself, the music was amazing! I would recommend seeing a musical here, I promise you won't regret it!

We saw Rent at Chance and it was amazing! The theater is small enough that every seat is a good seat, and large enough that you feel like you have space and a fun audience. The cast for Rent (2023 shows) was also awesome. Had us both laughing and crying at points.

David is an incredible teacher and I highly recommend his class to anyone who wants to improve not only their acting skills, but also life skills as well.

I am a total beginner and felt super comfortable the moment I walked in, which I really appreciate it.

David gives you the confidence you need in order to be successful in such a tough industry.

My 9 year old had a blast and came back enthusiastically sharing every day! The performance at the end of the week was truly a delight, not just an obligatory thing we parents have to show up for. We cracked up, too!

My intention with this class was to discover another side of myself that I could bring into my performances as a musician. David is honestly one of the best coaches/mentors I’ve ever met in the creative field. His approach with teaching is fierce and no bs, and honestly it’s what’s best if you’re looking to be the best. If you’re considering this class, take the leap as you will not be disappointed. He will push you beyond your limits and show you how much more confident and capable you are than you initially imagined stepping into the class.

All the reviews speak for itself. Hands down, the best acting class in NYC. David Epstein is an amazing teacher with decades of experience. His teaching style is brilliant as he can cater to actors with no experience to professional working actors. I walked in the class with no experience and fearful and after 9 weeks, I became confident and was able to do a scene and take stage. Do yourself a favor, If you are looking to hone your acting craft or even start out as an actor, join this incredible ActorClass. You won't be dissappointed! Thank you David!
My now-husband and I had already looked at a handful of venues for our wedding late last year when we walked into The Ebell and instantly fell in love. My husband fell in love with the architecture and I fell in love with the history of the building. From start to finish, the events team helped bring our traditional Hindu wedding ceremony come to life in this historic venue. The entire staff went above and beyond in helping make the planning process seamless and stress-free. Our guests loved the food (hats off to Chef Tommy for curating a Indian menu for us) and specialty drinks on the day of our wedding. I cannot recommend The Ebell enough to anyone who wants a magical setting for their big day!

Such an incredible atmosphere that gives you all the tools and knowledge to grow as an actor. David's class is nothing short of phenomenal as his energy and passion inspire all those who participate. I highly recommend this class to all actors no matter their level of experience.

I am consistently impressed with the quality of talent coming out of this little theatre. There are two stages and not a bad seat in the house! They do "talk backs" with the cast after the shows. There is a full bar in the lobby. They offer pay-what-you-can preview nights before a production officially opens to make seeing live theater accessible to more people. Becoming a member is the best deal in town! Free return visits!? Are you kidding me!? So. Much. Fun. Love this place! Highly recommend!

After interning for David Epstein for the past 3 months, I've learnt a lot about acting and directing then I have anywhere else. He is an amazing teacher and his exciting energy is so contagious. He cares about each of his students and he pushes them to their full potential. After sitting in and spectating, I've seen tremendous growth in every student. The class is extremely welcoming, I felt at home right away! There is never a dull moment in his class.

As a newcomer in the acting world, Dave's class has been exactly what I've been searching for. It's honestly been a game-changer because every time I step into the class, I genuinely feel myself growing as an actor. Dave's got this amazing energy and you can tell he's super passionate about seeing his students grow and succeed! He's all about pushing us beyond our comfort zones in the best way and let me tell you, it makes a world of difference in our performances.

The best part is that he's created a space where you can push your limits without ever feeling judged or uncomfortable. Everyone in the class, even the more experienced folks, is incredibly friendly and supportive as well so I’ve never truly felt like a newbie.

If you're really passionate about acting, I highly recommend taking this class, no matter where you're starting from. At the very least audit the class so you see for yourself. You won’t regret it!
My wife and I are wedding photographers and have always loved our experience at the Ebell. Definitely one of the best venues in the LA/OC area. Highly recommend!
We love Flatbush community theater!!!! What a gem. Thankful I got to host a recital for music students here! The theater is flexible and accommodating and was a beautiful stage for my students to perform. Thank you Alexis!

Great show! A. R. Gurney's Love Letters. I sat 15 feet from actors Matthew Broderick and Laura Benanke. Marvellous!

Great space, and it has accomodations for disabled folks.
They have consistently produced extraordinary productions over the years. I have been a long time patron of the Irish Rep, and this afternoon I was reduced to tears watching Laura Benanti and Matthew Broderick in a production of "Love Letters!" Just extraordinary.
My husband and I knew we wanted to get married at the Ebell the moment we entered the space. The Ebell is one of the most stunning historical buildings in Los Angeles, and the staff there is professional, kind, and helpful. Our guests keep raving about the beauty of the building and the service during our wedding and reception was top-tier. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue for our day.
Saw the play "Love Leters." The acting was fantastic!!!
The Ebell is such a unique venue and feels incredibly special. From the moment we toured the venue we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. We had our ceremony and cocktail hour in the garden and then moved inside for our reception. Everything flowed well and we always felt very taken care of by the staff. Yulita was our point of contact and she was very easy to work with and stayed on top of all of the details. Not only are the spaces beautiful, but the the food is also excellent (which is saying a lot because wedding food is usually nothing to write home about). We absolutely love The Ebell and couldn't recommend it enough!
I’m a professional corporate event planner and when I was looking for a venue for my wedding, booking the Ebell was the easiest choice we made. A few things that made this so simple: the space is beautiful, it was indoor and outdoor, catering and most equipment was in house (we did not have to rent many things), the staff was absolutely amazing, as an gay couple we felt incredibly comfortable and welcomed, and did I mention it is a beautiful space? It’s gorgeous. We walked inside, and it took our breath away. Sometimes you just have a feeling and you know it’s meant to be. That was us with the Ebell.

The venue is historic, grand, and truly one of a kind. It is located in a great, central area of Los Angeles so guests from out of town can experience the city. A private parking lot is included. And we were treated so well by every facet of the staff. Their in house team is incredible, event coordinators, catering, bartending, security, etc. Each team member made us feel special and helped make our wedding amazing. The venue itself is very turnkey from a planning perspective which made it ideal for us. We didn’t want to bring in all the furniture, build a kitchen, rent a parking lot, decorate every inch, etc. All those details are included and the space is so beautiful you don’t want to detract from that with too much decoration.

In short, the Ebell was the perfect location for our wedding, and if you’re looking for a venue that makes a statement, but also makes things easy, it will be the perfect location for yours, too.

This is the best acting class that I ever signed up for. David’s class is a great place to learn and grow. He is great at what he does and I love his positive energy. I love his approach to directing a scene. He’s able to push you to the limit and bring out the best in you. He truly cares and wants to see everyone win! I’m so greatfull to be in his class. I recommend all actors to come audit and sign up for his class.
How much is this program I would like to put my daughter into this. And do you live there are do they come home at the end of the day?

Came here to scout for kids and was very surprised with the amount of problems with the space, kids were great though! The theater is not proper, filled with junk and old thrift items that crowd it up. Leak In the roof, one kid actually had to move their block away from the drip because it was dripping on her head, the show was full of wonderful kids! I wish they just had a better space :) otherwise love it
For most elegant , classy beautiful wedding you must go to the Ebell of Los Angelo’s !
The staff is great the venue is incredible. They know how to do this right and the staff will guide you and accommodate you in any way they can ! The memories are priceless . And everyone involved and participated in our wedding stated that it was amazing .
Thank you Ebell of LA !!!!

Nice black box theater! Nice ambience!
I love this school! Welcoming, warm and super positive environment. Everyone is very supportive! Wow! It is mindlowing! I fell in love with acting after I did my first "Anger" lines. OMG, it felt like a therapy:) definitely recommend Everyone to try it. Acting helped me personally to become much more happier in my life. I became more confident in myself when I talk to other people, whether it's one on one conversation or if I talk to the big group of people!
Endgame was a great showcase of talent. I enjoyed my first time at this theater - cozy and easy to see the stage.

Attended a performance of "Ride the Cyclone". This is an awesome venue that is intimate. The leadership team here believes in creating great and memorable experiences. To this end, performances end with a time for Q&A with the performers.

This is definitely a theater we're looking forward to attending many more performances in the future!
Had a great time on Valentine's Day. Great place and opportunity for the children to learn and develop their craft!!

The Stage Manager Kris is great. We were told that we were to be there 1 hr before our initial time (yet we were on stage 1hr later than originally scheduled, so late...?) No designated place for set or props. Richard was literally cleaning up garbage and fixing the leak in the roof... Thank you Richard!! Brian, the theater manager has a terrible ego and attitude. Got in my face, shaking his finger and spitting in my face as he yelled at me. I've seen his same behavior with other cast and crew.

Work with all the professionals here they are great! Brian is not one of them, and more of a problem than an asset.

Lighting problems, set problems, design problems I was litteraly told "do you speak English? Are you stupid? ".... I'll just stop there.
Comfy genuine theater space filled with great memorabilia and a chill line up. Come here on Saturday night to watch real people do real things instead of browsing through Netflix again.
As a wedding planner, I can't recommend The Ebell of Los Angeles enough to couples getting married. Besides of obvious historical presence and unique atmosphere, The Ebell has an amazing staff, incredible F & B options, and multiple spaces to accomodate a larger or small guest count. Something to also note is (2) parking lots included in the rental which is unheard of in Los Angeles. That alone is a huge selling point!

Being apart of the Actorclass family has be very transformative and awakening for me.  Being taught by Master Teacher  David Epstein , I have gained more acting breakthroughs then ever before. David takes you to the next level in your artistry journey if your lucky to be taught by him. David's enthusiasm, mastery of Shakespeare, and work ethic makes working with him contagious and  fun.  In class, David and your peers pushes you to perform at highest level. I've learned a tremendous amount about myself and the industry being apart of Actor Class!!
This was our first time going to this theater. We saw Chester Bailey, a performance not to be missed. This was a two man play (in real life they are related, a father and son) both of whom are superb actors. The best part was during the applause and standing ovation…the father with his arm around his son…Dad had tear filled eyes.
I rented the Flatbush Community Theater as a rehearsal space for a show I'm working on. The space had everything we needed, the rate was affordable, and the Theater's director, Alexis, was a pleasure to work with!
So you came to the NYC and checked out the shows on Broadway and off and off off. But where does this theater come from? It comes from a deep culture that loves and respects theater. And this is your chance to experience that. Its fun and experimental. Lots of things don't work but some things do and occasionally you get to see something or someone make that leap from good to magical.

A wonderful experience, we watch a profound and thought provoking show "A Drop of Midnight". The show was spectacular. The operation and ambiance of the theater was excellent. It was both exceedingly professional and deeply personal at the same time. Harlem stage is an open mine of discovery that produces rare gems of experience for our hearts and minds.
Great theater here! Small venue but sophisticated and entertaining. Sure, there are Irish accents, but usually not too heavy. Top-notch actors in plays with humor and heft.
IRISH REPARTORY
hosts great writing and performance in a modest but purpose-designed space that is deep, narrow and a vast improvement over earlier venues. There is no bar, unless the play of the day (such as the marvelous revival of Eugene O’Neill’s “Touch of the Poet) requires it. The location is central and the staff alive with a mission to keep a bit of Irish culture current.
As one of people going here I can confirm that it I s a pretty good place. Only four stars because my enjoyment was tainted due to fact that I'm cranky almost half the time just in general.
Working at the Ebell was such a blast. The history of the venue is just incredible. The diversity of the different halls and environments make for incredible photographs. The place really doesn't need much decor to look stunning – it just is. And the team at the Ebell was fantastic to work with. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and cannot wait to be back! As a wedding photographer, I couldn't have had more fun photographing this wedding at such a unique venue.
AMAZING teacher, WONDERFUL classes (you won’t believe how much you’ll learn in 2 hours!), and, without a doubt, the BEST acting school for film and TV in the country!

Harlem Stage is an intimate theater with a beautiful team of people dedicated to presenting quality arts and arts educational programs at reasonable prices. I was blessed to see Maimouna Youssef aka Mumu Fresh in a healing concert featuring Grandmother Walks On Water & Jennifer Kreisberg. It was beyond Wonderful!
Absolutely great place to study acting. Instructions are simple and everything advances in time. You really get to see the changes in terms of yourself from the time you entered to where you are now. Great staff and great environment and energy. Highly recommend!
Have been studying here for 2 years and ongoing. Hands down best acting studio to build your craft and have a strong foundation. Highly recommend!

Ted is an Amazing Instructor and Teacher of theater and has privately coached me on film and Television projects. He is one of a kind as he will take you thoroughly into Meissner and Adler techniques
is this high school
Ted is a great teacher and always gives precise feedback on how to improve! I've gotten so much more out of this class than any other acting class I've taken!
I wish you can give them zero star, we lefet them many messages and texted the instructor for information to enroll into the summer progam. The instructor texted back stated that he would call me back. Guess what? HE NEVER CALLED. I also emailed the school and got no response as well, Would you think this is a good school?
Best acting teacher in New York.
