I didn't go inside this venue, however I was walking around the area and couldn't help but take a handful of photos of the marquee. A couple holding hands "photobombing" at the exact right time coupled with the "stop walking" sign provided for a great photo.

The facade of this place is absolutely gorgeous, and I'll definitely attempt to see the inside on my next trip to New Orleans!

The seating was tiny folding chairs. The show was great, however. I'd be happy to revisit the venue, were there a show playing, that I wanted to see. Saw Tom Papa

Incredible venue. The sound was perfect. The stage is beautiful. We were told not to take photos of the show, but I get it.

My favorite theater style venue in New Orleans! It's so well run and organized. You can get tickets at the box office in advance, online, or on the day of the show. I've seen 2 VIP shows here, and both were phenomenal experiences. They emailed specific details ahead, then the friendly staff was there to greet us with lanyards & merch. We got an hour pre-show, plus a private meet & greet with the artists. I love how they have a bar in the lobby, 1 on the bottom floor and on the balcony. Bartenders are friendly and they offer a few signature drinks at reasonable prices. The seating options here are perfect. Other venues in the city are either standing room only or seating only. The Joy has both a spacious balcony and a nice size standing section on the 1st floor. If you buy balcony seats you also can go back & forth to the 1st floor which is ideal. I like how they offer multiple ticket prices & options like GA, upper balcony, lower balcony, or VIP. The venue is very safe and clean too. They have merch from both the bands and the theater itself available at most shows. I've had a great experience at every time here! Highly recommended!

This is such a cool venue, but by far the best asset is the customer service. The security to the bartenders to the users... everyone is top notch! This is a smaller venue and they still have ushers escort everyone to their seats. Highly recommend visiting the Joy for a show.

Not the best venue in terms of sound but the closeness you get to the performers is a great experience. Bartenders and concert goers were friendly. Men's restroom is narrow. Go have fun.
