Cakes were amazing. Bread rolls were absolutely fresh and stayed fresh for afew days

I have always loved bread mill cakes but of late I am so disappointed ☹️. I have bought lemon condensed cake for years and the cake to fill ratio was always spot on . Right now the cake was so dry and filling was non existent , I get inflation but would have rather they reduce size than quality of cake . It doesn’t even taste the same anymore.. The sponge is even dryer than usual aii bandla

After having 2 terrible experiences with The Bread Mill I decided to give it 1 last try and it was awesome.
We ordered a cake for my son’s birthday and everything from the initial call to actually getting the cake was a breeze! Lungi did a an amazing job at explaining everything to us and making sure our order was correct, even though it was short notice.
Lungi is a star and has renewed my faith in The Bread Mill’s abilities.

I bought a birthday cake and it was horrible. It was dense uncooked and just raw. I would like to be refunded because this was a day light robbery. I paid R209 for nothing. It was my son's birthday and he was so disappointed. I bought it from Spar Knowles in Pinetown on the 14th of October 2024

I like the fact that they open 24 hours, I think that's amazing. The cakes are great, more especially the cream, but the sponge could be more moist and soft.

The best pastries and cakes, pies and everything in between. If you’re from Durban you know the old “Bread Ahead” now the Bread Mill. And if you’re visiting Durban, it has to be one of the attractions within Durban. Very difficult to walk out with just one item. Well priced for what you are getting. Quality baked goods! Staff are very friendly. Coffee is also available which is, again, also awesome! We love The Bread Mill!

We had the whole chicken very tasty, but not spicy

Having worked a 48 hour shift it was time to treat myself. At 6h30 I bought 4 Kitke loafs, a giant Cheese Croissant and Mutton Curry pie.

The piping hot short crust pie was stuffed with tender juicy spicy mutton in a thick gravy, simply delicious. Safe to eat without risking being covered in annoying puff pastry. Great value for money.

The Cheese Croissant, too large to enjoy in one go, was savoured at tea and lunch with a blob of butter.

My neighbor was delighted with her 3 Kitke loaves, I look forward to try mine tonight.

Ample parking at 6h30. Staff friendly and efficient.

I visited bread mill bakery today and that left a lasting impression on me. The atmosphere was nothing short of amazing—a cozy, welcoming space that invites you to stay a little longer. But what truly stood out was the staff. They were beyond friendly and incredibly helpful, making the experience all the more enjoyable.

Though I'm not typically one for sweet treats, the staff's kindness and warmth made me want to indulge. Their genuine sweetness was contagious, and I found myself purchasing more than I originally intended.

Keep up the excellent work—this bakery is a true gem!

Great bakery serving freshly baked breads and croissants. The croissants are delicious and one of the best we had.

Very disappointed with my chocolate cake mini loaves 5's purchased at David's Astron garage in Greytown.

all i can say is wow. what a refreshingly quite and delightful place. Enjoyed the atmosphere and friendliness. food was really nice with games to play while you wait. staff was helpful and service was fantastic. will be back asap.

As good as word on the CT streets has it - from the coffee, fresh bakes and my personal favourite, the breakfast granola. Staff are very friendly. Even your grandma will approve of the great tasting fluffy pastry delights!

Reduced variety to choose from on a Saturday mid-morning. The service lady saw me standing by the counter for all of 10 mins and did not bother to serve me. I eventually got tired of waiting and left without ordering any cakes.

So chuffed to have found this little gem spot on Musgrave Rd by chance! A quaint Café Bakery that has kept the original decor from an old Chemist built in the 50s- complete with chandelier, molded ceilings and art decor style tiles! Amazing coffee, perfect pastries, original coriander sauce and yummy milkshakes! Nice Cape Town vibe direct on the street and lovely staff. When back in Durban, we'll definitely visit again.

Pastries are very delicious. I take mine to go and take a walk to a park to enjoy them. Coffee is acceptable but I wouldn’t go just for the coffee. Plate dishes are also nice

On holiday, googled the best bakeries in Durban, came all the way for croissants. The waitress greeted us with a list of things they out of stock of. No croissants. Very dissappointing. The waitress suggested I go next door to the Garden Cafe after I suggested that I will look at the menu and look for an alternative to breakfast. I suggest you avoid The Bakery who advertises best croissants, but dont have any.

Best croissants in town, super fresh and fluffy….Disappeared before I could take a photo so managed to take one of the sourdough - also best in town! Was too impatient to toast it and had a couple of slices with olive oil and balsamic and a little cheese board- damn!

Panbake is wholesale prices to the public. Many treats including rolls, buns and various cakes.

I visited Jason Bakery for the first time on a busy Saturday. Despite the crowd, we were fortunate to secure a table for two, however the service was still somewhat slow.

The bakery has ample seating, a plus in a busy location.

The coffee was great, with my partner enjoying not one, but two red cappuccinos. The accompanying croissant-like cookie was a cute touch, although a tad flavourless.

We ordered the sandwiches. I opted for the smashed chickpea, which I thoroughly enjoyed, while my partner felt his chicken mayo sandwich could have had a bit more sauce. The variety of ciabatta or sourdough rye options was good, and the sandwiches offered good value for money as we even took half home. We particularly enjoyed the homemade crisps served alongside the meal.

Despite our hopes, the pasties de nata was already sold out, but we were happy to buy the pain au chocolat. Unfortunately, they fell short of expectations, with a dry and somewhat bland texture. Disappointingly, the chocolate filling was almost nonexistent.

Overall, Jason Bakery offers a great array of options and is perfect for a quick bite.

There's nothing special about this bakery and the prices are more expensive than some supermarkets that keep the very same products of pan bake.

One of the renowned bakeries in Cape Town. This has a create cafe seating area inside and on the balcony. The baked goods are Devine as it the seated menu. We had breakfast, a nice bagel and a crunchy bowl of muesli with fruit. It gets quite busy so be prepared to wait in peak times. If you just want baked goods there is a dedicated queue

Wow, what an amazing bakery and eatery! Everything we had was super delicious. Food is not overpriced, but prepare to pay a bit more for the freshly squeezed juices. It's a friendly spot where people meet up and chill by indulging in various board games (there are a lot of options to choose from). The place was clean, and their Eastern breakfast was a definite winner. It was flavourful and devine. They had a great selection of baked goods on offer as well.

I have not visited here as yet but have had cakes/desserts a few times...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Continental Deli ( We call it the BURFEE PALACE- Sweetmeats Fit For The Gods !) located at 109 Mathews Meyiwa Rd, Windermere, Durban, 4001, and I must say it exceeded my expectations. As a food lover, I was seeking high-quality meats, freshly baked goods, and a diverse selection of deli products, and this place delivered on all fronts.

Upon entering the establishment, I was immediately drawn to the warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff greeted me with a friendly smile and were incredibly knowledgeable about their products. It was evident that Continental Deli takes pride in their offerings, as every item seemed carefully selected.

The butcher section showcased an impressive array of meats. From tender cuts of beef to succulent poultry, I was spoilt for choice. The quality was exceptional, and the butchers were more than happy to assist me in choosing the perfect cuts for my needs. Their pies are AMAZING, you can actually taste the meat, flavour and texture is spectacular. The crust and soup ratio is on par. I didn't have to save the juiciest part for last like other pies because this pie is JUICY all around.

The cakes are delicious and not filled with sugar but flavour. Also my favs are pastries, the best. Their Hot beverages are delicious. We had a Mocha and Hot Chocolate. If you haven't gone there, you're missing out.

Popped in for Sunday lunch. Parking available on the street outside. Tables available on the curb outside and inside.

Service was average. Lots of variety on offer but the food wasn’t so great. We tried savories, cakes and ordered of the menu. The freshly pressed juices had way to much ginger. Will probably not be back anytime soon.

Stopped by Country Bake on a Friday morning, a sunny but chilly day. Upon entering you are met with a wonderful aroma of freshly brewed coffee, and baked goodies. After being offered a table we opted for a couple of cappuccinos , which were heavenly. Rich, robust flavours with a mild chocolatey undertone. Perfect start to your day 😁. I opted for the Sunrise breakfast, which included 2 eggs, sausages, baked beans, chips, grilled mushrooms, and grilled tomatoes. A hearty feast indeed! Farm fresh organic eggs, the yolks bursting with goodness, crispy chips, garlicky mushrooms, slightly spicy baked beans topped off with 2 lamb sausages. The crispy homemade farm style slab of toast was the perfect accompaniment to the already stellar breakfast. Lovely start to the day. We also opted for the omlette, which was a half moon shaped food treasure chest containing 3 cheeses and fresh crisp veggies. Accompanied by the same lamb sausages and a small side salad. Very satisfying 👍. Service is attentive and warm. They have an adjoining trendy art space where you can sit as well, with custom art pieces for sale. The bakery section is packed with freshly made cakes, pies, desserts and breads, so be sure to buy something for a treat later on. 😁Overall a very good experience. The place to literally sit and have a bite to eat while watching the world go by. Fully Halaal. Recommended 👍👍

I do not recommend using this station when you are in a rush. Today was the second time I stopped there hoping it would be better, but to no avail.

Food was really yummy, and just what we were craving. And you can get shop for all you groceries before you leave. Their bakery section is quite good also.

Absolutley best and tastiest pies you can ask for, I've been supporting them since my school days and the taste has not changed, it actually gets sold out and I have to call in to have them keep my special peri peri chicken pie away for me. Love it!

Lovely coffee and bakery spot in Durban. The atmosphere, decor and setup is amazing. The staff here is very friendly especially the old Indian gentleman. Love the menu, very Monday my friends and I head over here for the Marvelous Monday R10 special.

Used to be one of my faves but was disappointed by my meal today. My penne pasta was basically mash. Not sure how they could even serve it! Very disappointing.

I wouldn't put a drop of diesel here again👎 Atleast at Worcester and Robertson Total Epressmarks we get a 2L Coke if we put more than 500L diesel in and then the manager is walking around blowing a airhorn like a clown for no reason

Had an amazing experience. The Juma (Friday) lunch was absolutely scrumptious and one of the very very few places that I ate dhall ghos, that was so deliciously prepared. The meat inside was of gigantic proportions, exactly the way should be!!. The rice was soft and fluffy, accompanied by all The tasty accompaniments. The biryani was deeelish as well!!!

Anyway that was just the lunch, I have had their Burgers previously, the flatbread and pizza. All freshly made and ready to indulge.

The sweetmeats are my favourite indulgence!!! I could survive on them for days!!!.

Their quality and standards are stil as consistent as they always have been since their very small shop on Ridge road that used to love visiting.

The cold Meats are excellent and their Kassegrille is legendary. Many have tried to copy what Continental has mastered.

All in all an amazing stop this upcoming break!!!

Friendly, fast service and affordable diesel pricing. Expressmark has good coffee and snacks....I always shedule my refuel and snack stop on out of town trips via this Service Station

Have been here for a car wash. Friendly and quick service at a very reasonable price. Recommend without hesitation.
