Great coffee, and a splendid pumpkin salad, would certainly return the next time I was in Macquarie.

- Live locally so the cafe is walking distance.
- We have been here multiple times for eat in and take away.
- Decent food, we like the spinach roll and coffee combo for brekky. The photo was my meal this morning.
- Seating well organised and spaced out, outdoor seating available. Some tables sticky at times.
- Customer service is alright, some staff are a little rude at times such as the chefs.
- Coffee is good.
- Pricing is somewhat expensive for what you get.
- Inconsistent closure timings. Google says open until 3PM. Have gone here a few times between 2-2:45PM and they are already closed. Staff mentioned that they close before 3 if they are not busy, which is fair enough. However, today we went there for coffee at 1:36PM and the barista said they are closed. There were still people inside eating. If you want people to come to your cafe, be consistent with customer expectations.
- Overall decent little cafe. Gave 3 stars due to dissatisfying customer service, high pricing for not great quality food, and inconsistent colsure times.

Located just around a 6-7 minutes walk from Macquarie Centre, it’s a cute little cafe that offers some different dishes compared to your typical cafe. Parking on Saunders Close isn’t always easy to find so you could always park in Macquarie Centre and walk over. The ‘Pass-the-Crab’ was tasty. The serving of soft shelled crab was good and hot and crispy when served. The pasta wasn’t spicy at all and lacked a tiny bit of flavour but was still a good dish overall. They also offered congee with fried dough stick which you don’t often see at a cafe! I was going to try the taro latte but as my pasta dish seemed quite heavy already, I ordered the coconut juice, which was super refreshing and had young coconut flesh in it too! There’s also a small kids menu for the little ones. Our waitress was super nice and friendly too. There’s both outdoor and indoor seating.

Had a fantastic time here. A nice place to catch up with family and friends. Friendly staff, fast service, and fresh ingredients. I got a chicken burger and a Teriyaki steak with salad. The meal was tasty and satisfying. 😋

Kin by us has gone down hill bit by bit…
The cups were dirty, the ingredients are not fresh (avocado was partially brown/black), the bacon was undercooked and definitely not crispy as described on the menu. The menu is never changed up either. The bathroom was unhygienic despite the fact that it was 730am and they had just opened which means the bathroom isn’t cleaned regularly and used more for storage.
The coffee was average, which is disappointing considering how good the coffee was a couple years ago but it just keeps getting worse with each return.

Not a bad cafe overall, but not worth going out of my way for anymore. Miss the way it was before with consistently delicious food and coffee 🥹

This place is sooo good!! The staff member who took our table was very friendly, warm and attentive, answering every question regarding food I had. Gave honest suggestions and was very nice.. The sweet potatoe latte was absolutely delicious, quite a surprise. I had the congee too which a nice thing to try - I liked the pork fluff and the spring onions, good with the soy sauce. Appreciate that there was hand sanitizer on the tables.

Small cafe with Interesting dishes. The corn fritters were tasty as was the black sesame shake. The soft shell crab pasta was a bit over cooked and while I like trying new things the flavours didn’t quite work. Service was a little slow on the weekend.
