Stopped here quickly to see what its all about. I jumped off rt 80 and only took me 5 mins to get to the parking lot. Plenty of parking. The falls were roaring. They are amazing up close. The other side was open for people to take pictures and feel the mist

Amazing little secret out in the open. The falls are nice, and it looks like they are renovating the very old buildings around the falls.

The bridge over the falls is closed. It's really not that big of a deal, and you can walk on the sidewalk around to the other side. We found parking right there, no problem. On a busy summer day may be a different story.

We spent about an hour or so there and had lunch overlooking the falls. Overall, it was a nice experience.

Paterson historical park offers and beautiful scenery of water falls. The rocky nature of Paterson Great falls reflects the beauty of nature. It is an ideal place for relaxation, and photographers. One of the United States largest waterfalls. The falls were formed at the last ice age. It is a wonderful place to visit. It is a pet friendly place. You can spend a nice time with your family and kids

Beautiful, picturesque falls! The Passaic river leads into these magnificent falls and they are best viewed from the side of the Mary Ellen Kramer park. It was a good walk from the parking lot to this viewpoint. We went close to sunset and the fall colours looked gorgeous.

After so much rain, we thought that the falls would be extra beautiful. They did not disappoint! The park was busy on this beautiful day, and parking was challenging (as the parking lot is very small). There continues to be construction, and there are areas that are not open to the public, including the walking bridge over the falls.
The Park Rangers are present and welcome visitors and answer questions. They also lead tours. One can also download a self-guided walking tour. There is no cost for visiting.
There are no indoor facilities (pending construction) but they have portable toilets (“available 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM staff permitting.”)
The site is accessible.
Bonus: there is a space for food truck/s parking right outside of the park. We had ice cream. Chocolate with chocolate sprinkles as always. Yum! The young man running the truck was great 🙂🍦

Beautiful falls in the middle of Paterson town. Falls can be seen from both the sides of the bridge. Parking is limited so plan some time for waiting. You can bring some food and enjoy it while watching the falls in the amphitheatre seating. Also check the free guided tour with the park rangers.

I've driven by this place for years but didn't know it was here. The waterfall views are great, but the park itself is so unkept. The trash cans didn't look like they'd been dumped in over a week. I was waiting to see the rodents run by. I would definitely recommend if you're in the area, but prepare yourself for the surrounding filth.
Response to Park:
The intent may be to clean daily, but there is no way that was cleaned within the past day. Those pics were taken at 11am on a Tuesday and every garbage can was overflowing onto the ground. Others will see for themselves.
