The staff at the consulate seemed uninterested in assisting me with my inquiries. They were not only unfriendly but also displayed an unprofessional attitude. I felt like I was bothering them with my questions and concerns, which should not be the case in any service-oriented institution.

I am deeply disappointed with my experience at the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Washington D.C. The consulate needs to address these issues to improve its service quality and ensure a better experience for future visitors.

Unbelievable. I was on the phone for 30 minutes and no one answered. Are there people actually in the office or not??? Phone kept ringing ringing but no VM box? 🤦‍♀️

So my wife (Korean citizen) and I attempted to navigate on the embassy's website to set an appointment for a document she needs, as instructed by the automated agent/message you get when you call (there is no way to talk to an actual person!!!!!!)-. The website is HORRIBLE both in English and Hangul. There is no way to make any sort of appointment on the Embassy website, even though the Embassy's automated system told us that's how you do it! Man.... it seems that even highly efficient Korean people become Americanized with the lack of customer service once they live in America for a while...

I recognized that Koreans are need to learn how to treat customers. I called and tried to get information and told a few things and told sorry I am busy find information online and hung up phone. Korean web site of consular is terrible. If you don't treat people good close embassy. I was going to visit Korea but no more interest with Koreans

No one works there...when one person finally answered, after trying to get through for DAYS, she refused to help me and gave me another number to call. An absolute embarrassment to the country...This would be the LAST time I will be visiting Korea. I highly discourage anyone from visiting Korea. ALL THE 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE FAKE. THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!!

The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea really needs to work on updating their website, forms, and improving their service.

Before I visited them for my appointment, I downloaded necessary forms from the website ( 영사민원24) expecting to facilitate a process. However, it turned out the forms available on the website were old or wrong versions and I had to fill out all the forms again on the site.

Also, they should update and post correct business hours across the web. For example, their business hours in Google are posted 9-12pm, and 3-5 pm although they open at 1 pm after lunch break. It might create confusion for people whose appointment is scheduled between 1-3 pm. My appointment was 2:30 pm, but the website information showed they will open at 3 pm, so I came to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea although I doubted.. Eventually, I had to drive back to the Consulate.
Given they represent the Republic of Korea, it is quite surprising how inefficient and poorly it is managed.

In addition, the staff didn't seem to be professional and welcoming. The person who took care of my business today wasn't extremely rude, but she was passive aggressive.
