Sher Singh

Sher Singh is an incredible restaurant; the authenticity of the food, reminiscent of home, made it truly exceptional. The ambience was delightful, the staff provided excellent recommendations, and even the owner engaged in a friendly chat. I wholeheartedly recommend this place!

A North Indian restaurant with an old-World ambiance, excellent naan and curries.

The butter chicken is very good - it is creamy, buttery, tangy and not too sweet. The non-vegan version is spicier (more chili heat). The goat curry (Meat Beliram) is excellent - tender, fall apart meat in a rich sauce that is full of warming spiced notes.

And the Naan - whether garlic or kalonji (sesame and nigella seeds) - puffy, soft with charred bits, perfect for scooping up those luxurious curry sauces.

And if KFC is your thing - you might be interested to try the PFC (Punjabi Fried chicken).

Service is friendly.

Beautiful place and atmosphere and fairly good food. Unfortunately the curries we ordered were too salty and Spicy guava margaritas did not have even a hint of guava flavour. Naans were absolutely delicious and one of the best we have ever had in Melbourne. Given the price we paid, felt this should be addressed but a good place nonetheless.

We had a fantastic meal at this restaurant and we loved their food and service! My friends and I ordered both vegan butter chicken and butter chicken, they all tasted good, especially with their handmade garlic naan. The bread was slightly crispy on the outside while soft inside, and it went well with any meat! We also shared a gigantic jumbo meat platter, which had a wild range of meat from chicken, lamb to beef, and they all had different flavours.
Apart from the food, we really enjoyed the vibe there with loFi Indian music and beautiful decorations on the walls. The waiter was attentive and friendly and he kept the restaurant nice and clean.
I would like to come back for more!
