Shanghai Street on Elizabeth

I was a little underwhelmed with my experience at Shanghai Street on Elizabeth (not to be confused with their sister restaurant). The dumplings were passable, although I wouldn't order the vegetable dumplings again as they were very bland. However, the noodles were not good and reminded me of overcooked Maggi 2 Minute Noodles. The atmosphere is also quite sterile, with overly bright lighting and minimal decor.

Me and my 2friends went there and had panfried dumplings,wontons and shanghai fried noodles which we all enjoyed.Customer service was good and staffs were polite,cheerful and friendly.
Will be back for sure.

The pork xiao long bao was decent but I wasn’t a big fan of the mains. I had the black pepper beef dry noodles and my beef was tough while my noodles were quite greasy, almost slimy, in an unpleasant way. We also tried the Osmanthus Cake which was interesting as I’ve never tried it before, it was okay but not my taste usually. Overall wouldn’t return tbh but the prices were okay

I stumbled into Shanghai house and was greeted by the friendliest staff with the most lovely service. The dumplings are the best I've ever had in a very long time. If you want good food with a smile and fast service come here. I will be coming again and again.

Xiao Long Bao were fresh and delicious. We're ready in a few minutes even though it was busy. The staff are nice. Always nice to see the dumplings being made through the window at the front

Walked in on a whim, first night of a family holiday and was drawn to the busy restaurant and the dumplings being made in the front window. Did not disappoint! Quick service, delicious dumplings and lots of options. Loved the soup dumplings, pork buns , beef pan fried dumplings and garlic broccoli.

We had an amazing after work dinner here. Shanghai Fried Noodles was the highlight. Fresh noodles and great flavours. Also had the Xiao Long Bai and Fried Dumplings. Will be back!
