Excellent food, we had meals and it was really worth the price. All dishes were delicious and served well.
Not sure why people complain about food.

Rooms are very clean and something hard to find in guruvayoor, helpful staff. Washing sink is out side bathroom, this was unexpected.

Temple is little away, but since stay is good, little walk can be compromised.

Very much disappointing service. Ordered x17 special Onam sadhya. Total waste of money. They also billed for x20 and had a good verbatim. However, we request everyone to look for better restaurants. If I had an option, I wouldn’t give any ⭐️ as the quality of food and their service is useless and O totally agree with the below negative reviews.

Good Ambience. Rooms are neat and clean. Staff's are polite and professional in approach. Courteous always . Good place for family. Walkable distance to temple.

I visited Devaragam restaurant with high hopes due to its reputation for a pleasant ambiance and delectable meals. However, my experience turned out to be incredibly disappointing, to say the least.

Unfortunately, the special meals I had was far from satisfactory. The food was prepared by someone who has no idea about South Indian meals. Not even a single curry was up to the mark and I doubt they mixed water into Sambar as salt was not added even in a minimum quantity. The quality of the food was substandard, and the taste was utterly disappointing. It seemed like the dishes were prepared without much care or attention to detail. The flavors were bland, lacking the authenticity that one would expect from a restaurant that boasts such a reputation. It's disheartening to witness a restaurant fall so short of its own acclaim.

Equally dismaying was the level of service provided. The staff seemed indifferent and uninterested in catering to the needs. From slow service to a lack of attentiveness, the overall service left much to be desired.

I believe in giving credit where it's due, but my experience at Devaragam has left me utterly disappointed. It's unfortunate to witness a restaurant with so much potential deliver such a lackluster experience. The feedback was shared with the staff and the Manager. I hope that the management takes this feedback constructively and endeavors to bring about the necessary improvements.

I would strongly advise potential visitors to reconsider their choice before visiting Devaragam restaurant. There are undoubtedly better dining options available that prioritize both quality food and exceptional service. My hope is that this review serves as a genuine reflection of my experience and aids others in making informed decisions.

Conclusion: Great ambience with substandard food. Avoid meals and special meals.

The staffs are rude and arrogant, and they don't make you feel welcome at all. In my case, I booked a deluxe double room with half board for 2 nights, and I paid additional charges for this food for each number of guests. This cost was high compared to the room without food options, but they still think they serve free meals. Especially the restaurant manager and his team ; as soon as we asked for thali meals at 1 pm they said we had to pre-order it and also did not provide the two dishes we had ordered, and at the end, acted like it was a mistake, so pathetic🤭. In our opinion, it was a bad idea to book a meal-inclusive room at this hotel. It has never happened before in other hotels..We decided not to return to this place since there are plenty of other better options nearby.

Devaragam is one of my favorite restaurants in Guruvayoor. The food is tasty, and the ambiance and service are great too. They serve the best North Indian cuisines for dinner in Guruvayoor. I recommend checking with the staff before you order, especially with the guy with the long mustache

On entering Hotel Devaragam in Guruvayoor, one is immediately taken by the spaciousness of the venue and the tranquillity it radiates - a retreat from the bustle of the outer world. The hotel boasts an excellent ambiance that seamlessly blends tradition with modernity, creating a comfortable and pleasing atmosphere.

My visit, however, was purely gastronomic. Regrettably, the culinary experience was not as harmonious as the environment. Both breakfast and lunch were subpar, falling short of the flavorful extravaganza one would expect in such a setting. The chutney, which traditionally brings a delightful tang to breakfast, was rather mediocre. The lunch, specifically the fried rice, seemed a bit stale. Whether it was the rice or the oil used, the freshness expected of the dish was sorely lacking.

Despite this, Hotel Devaragam shone brightly in the realm of service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to cater to our needs. The team demonstrated remarkable proficiency and seemed to anticipate our requirements, even taking into account the youngest of our group, ensuring a baby-friendly experience.

The hotel deserves special mention for its well-organized parking facilities. Not only is there ample space, but they also cater to the growing need for charging facilities for electric vehicles - a thoughtful inclusion for the environmentally conscious traveler.

In terms of rating, while the food would barely scrape a 2/5 owing to the underwhelming experience, the service and the staff deserve a full 5/5 for their outstanding professionalism and care. The ambiance merits a 4.5/5, providing a calming and aesthetically pleasing environment. The parking facilities, considering their capacity and provision for electric vehicles, stand at a commendable 4/5.

In summary, while the culinary aspect of Hotel Devaragam needs significant improvement, the ambiance, service, and thoughtful features like the parking and electric vehicle charging facilities present a compelling case for a revisit. It serves as a hopeful reminder that with a bit more attention to their culinary offerings, the hotel can indeed become a sought-after spot in Guruvayoor.
