This site is our little haven. We leave our van here and come numerous times a year. The site is small but to us that is the biggest attraction! The owners are contactable, flexible and friendly! All of the facilities are spotless so much so we don't use ours in the caravan. Amazing location close to lovely beeches and unspoilt countryside!

Fantastic site and amenities, clean and a great setting, owners were very helpful and friendly. -unfortunately the nearby dog kennels mean barking from the dogs, such a shame selfish neighbours ruin what is a great caravan site.UPDATE, JUST RETURNED TO SITE FOR A STAY. OVER EASTER WEEKEND, NO DOGS BARKING ALL HOURS, AS ABOVE GREAT SITE I WOULD NOW GIVE 5 STARS, BRILLIANT 👍👍👍

Virginia Lake was our first site on a 12-night campervan tour of England and by the end was still towards the top of our list. More of a stopover so we didn't visit the area, but our children had a lovely time running around the site and we were really able to relax into our holiday, especially making use of the bar that evening. Facilities were clean & easily accessible. Owners were super friendly - will certainly return!

Nothing wrong with the site, staff friendly, facilities very clean. BUT, the neighbours dogs did not stop barking 24/7. For this reason alone we would not return.

This site was just what we were looking for - there was only a small number of caravans on the site when we stayed allowing even more space to walk our dogs, as well as making it even more quiet than we had hoped for. The proprietors were most welcoming and helpful when we arrived at this family run site. A nice little clubhouse (though we didn't use it because of our itinerary). All facilities (shower blocks, toilets etc) were of a great standard. The site was kept clean and tidy, not withstanding the ' little parcels' left in places by the visiting wild geese. There are also some Shetland Ponies on site which the kids in our party enjoyed visiting. A well stocked carp lake makes it a great place for anglers to stay.
Overall, our friends and us all agreed it has been a lovely and pleasant stay at Virginia Lakes and would recommend it to anyone, especially if they like peace and tranquility.

We have visited this site 3 times and each time it has been kept very clean and always tidy. The kids love the little park and the men love the fishing. The club house is a bonus and you don't even have to cook if you don't wish to as they do food there.(very tasty).
We stayed onsite during storm Katie (in a tent) .... The site can do all they can, but they can't change the weather .
Very happy camping was had by all.
Downside..... going back to reality !!!!
