Coco-Mat Athens BC

We chose a view room. Of course, the view from the room is not as good as that from the rooftop restaurant. So we finally chose to celebrate the New Year in the restaurant and watch the New Year's fireworks. Also, by reading the reviews here on Google, I found that the boss violated the rules and regulations. I think this five-star rating may have been obtained also through some means. Because the room is small and the facilities are mediocre, slippers need to be obtained at the reception. Shower gel was not even provided in our room and the soap box was empty. It shows that the room service is not serious. It does not feel like the service of a five-star hotel. So next time we should choose an international chain brand hotel.

We had an amazing experience here during our four-day stay. The staff is so kind and accommodating - we had a small issue our second day and they promptly fixed everything. The rooftop and spa are excellent. Overall, it is an excellent hotel and worth the price.

Stayed at Coco-Mat for 3 nights. Everyone I encountered was so nice and welcoming. The bed was sublime. The location is perfect! Right next to the Acropolis and tons of restaurants and wine bars. Very lively area at night.

I will definitely be returning

This place is spitting distance from the Acropolis, but far enough from the cobblestone crowds of Plaka. Rooms are small but nicely done, we got a free upgrade to a museum view room. The rooftop is really nice for drinks and the pool (although small) nice for a quick dip.

The real X factor for us has been the limitless effort by the staff for making us feel at home. A special thanks to Natalia, who’s made our trip up forgettable with great tips and feel for our likings. On top of that we brought a dog and everybody was so thoughtful and kind about this.

The hotel was a very short walk to many great restaurants, the acropolis and the Plaka neighborhood.

We enjoyed a great breakfast selection. Don't waste any time looking for a coffee machine - you make your coffee order with a staff member (Very quick service).

We loved the rooftop sunset views of the city and the acropolis. It's definitely a must to have a cocktail or dinner on the rooftop.

This hotel is in the heart of Athens and looked very impressive as we hopped out of the taxi, with its large glass doors as the entrance how could you not feel the grandness as you walked in to be met with super friendly and helpful staff and a lovely clean and fresh smell not to mention the actual space you were in. I didn’t know where to look first and I was eager to learn the history of the hotel and I wasn’t disappointed, right there in the reception were old ruins. We moved through reception lounge area and the dining hall and down to the very cool gym and spa area and booked in for massages before they got booked up, and then went to the room to unpack and settle in, the room was everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable with the bedding being Coco-Mats very own. I love a good shower and this one delivered, the only downside to our room is the window opened up onto a busy street and it was pretty noisy but we were in the heart of the city. The location of the hotel is really good with a lot of things going on as soon as you walk out and attractions within walking distance. Anyway, back to the first day and exploring the hotel, we made our way to the rooftop, wow! A really chill area with great service and pool but it was the best spot to view Athens from up high, the hotel is the only hotel that was allowed to be built at the same height as the Acropolis due to the ruins at its foundation. We would definitely go here again, and I repeat, the staff were fantastic.
