Short but good for practicing irons.
Looks like everyone here for same reason, hitting 2 balls sometimes but the pacing is good.
Some greens is fun but too slow...hope it can improve.

A beautiful little public NYC course. Each hole is tricky in its own way. No par 5s. Tough greens. Some of the tee boxes are a mess but the rest of the course is really well maintained. Well done.

I've been here several times in the last 10 years or so with my most recent visit being in August of 2023. The course is short with only par 3s and 4s. A couple of the par 3s are tricky with pretty big elevation changes. Other than that, this makes for a great beginner/intermediate course which is easy to walk.
I've had a variety of rounds here with one that took 5 hours in the middle of the day. However, my most recent visit was a treat. I was able to play 18 holes in under 3 hours, playing mostly alone. The course was in fantastic shape - fairways were plush and the greens playing true.
Overall good place to play if you're looking for a more laid back vibe or trying to introduce someone to the sport.

Golf course is nice but I have a huge complaint about how my family and I were treated on this trip, on the day of my Birthday. After arriving early for our Reserved Tee time, we were continuously rushed, even though we were early and it wasn’t our time to hit the course yet. Once it was our time to hit the course, an employee (who checked us in) demanded that a group (who was late for their reserved time) go before us because their reserved time was before ours. We did not want to make big of the situation so we let it go. Then one it was our turn, in the middle of our hits off the tee, the same employee (who checked us in) continued to rush us along while we were hitting stating “We have to move it along because there are other people who actually know how to play this game that need to go”. My family are proud Puertoricans (light and dark) and were the only group that was given this treatment. Every other group before and after us were given their space and time to Tee up and play their game. This experience started off feeling discriminated by this employee (who checked us in) and his colleagues who stood around and agreed with him. After explaining to the employee that his behavior and the treatment he gave us was uncalled for as my Family and I watch golf and actually play it for fun, but apparently we did not look the part to this employee. After that discussion we continued throughout the course and had a good time, trying to shake off that very unwelcoming start. I will never come here again and wouldn’t recommend it to any of my family and peers as we are all people of color.

Great course for a beginner golfer. Not overwhelming with hazards but challenging. Stop by and say hello to the beer girl. It was another Amazing day at Kissena.

First time playing this course so i went for an early morning 9 hole outing and had great time. They put is on the back 9 and every hole presented a good challenge to different aspects of my game. I love a good challenging course and this one has it, Uphill Par 3, Downhill par 3. Tree lined dogleg R uphill Par 4 sloping from left to Right!!! The Greens were well maintained and most had some challenging hills. This place is great if you like challenging your skill level and want to up your level of play! I would not recommend the back 9 for beginners "Marine Park" would be better suited for you as it is a more forgiving course. The only delays were due to the Greens keepers doing their jobs ( I welcome those guys ) this plCe has nice nature sightings too! There was a small FOX who followed us from the 11 to the 13th hole ( he kept his distance and so did we! The Greens keeper says he's a regular and doesn't bother anyone. All in All I will frequent Kissenna golf ⛳......its my new favorite flavor of the month!!

Pretty good course. Lots of variations thru out per hole. The course will definitely test your accuracy off the tee box, whether you decide to use your driver, woods, hybrids, any irons or wedges. Putting greens were either extremely slow or fast, so it was hard to gauge a decent stroke, but then, I'm not a consistent player.
It was a fun golf outing, so, there in lies the beauty of Kissena Park Golf Course (by the way, keep your eyes open to the wild animals roaming thru the holes).
