One door to unload but there's staging area for a few trucks unload went somewhat quick I showed up 45 minutes b4 appointment. Parking is a little tight if cars are parked in front of the door but not to bad. U can check in at door 37

Major effort in feeding the hungry and a range of other support. I've been donating months since the pandemic began. Worth every penny!

Great place to give. I loadedd my truck up and Alex was friendly and courteous. Very professional and knowledge about his job and the organization's mission

Love it here. All feel welcome and no one is left feeling out of place or left behind.
No volunteer shifts available for individuals from Nov-Dec. Happens every year. I wish we could log into a website and select our schedule rather than email the volunteer coordinator week to week. I tend to forget and months go by before I remember to volunteer again.
Add on: I'd love to volunteer but with covid right now I don't feel comfortable going out in crowds of 10 or more. I sort of stopped volunteering here after the coordinators changed. The atmosphere quickly started to change. It was good but wasn't quite the same.
Ps: Please offer a way to select shifts using an online option. It is easier to select several for the next few months rather than email the coordinator weekly. Half the time I forget.

This place does get things done but could GET SO MUCH MORE DONE by listening to regular volunteers' efficiency suggestions. People are NOT shown an efficient way to do a process but left to themselves to try to figure one out. I routinely do the work of 4 newer people as they are trying to figure things out. The staff is too worried about people "not having fun" if they were to tell people what to do.
Their goal is to double the amount of people they feed in the next 10 years -- they will never get there this way. Really, if you come down to it, you can just get donations from people and replace much of what they do with machines. A ton of what they do is repackaging large bags of goods into smaller bags for food centers. It seems their goal is mostly to have people feel good about donating their time and not really solving the problem of getting the maximum number of people fed.

Great location. We visited with my son's school and volunteer for half day to package Massa. Great experience. They are very organize and know what they are doing. Everyone should volunteer at least for a half day.

Met up with the local H.O.G chapter's (Harley Owners Group) volunteers and gave 2hrs helping sort and box pears. Along side the UWs chapter of Phi Delts (Go Huskies) the two groups combined to package up 10000+lbs of pears to help the hungry. An overall great experience. What a wonderful organization. Thank you Northwest Harvest. "Hunger Stops Here"
