The management team is the best I have ever had. Every staff is super nice. Even if you have a maintenance emergency at midnight, handyman would come to your apartment and get it fixed.
I am a young professional, originally from the midwest, now working in NYC. I was very nervous moving, as I have never lived outside of the Midwest. This apartment makes NYC feel like home.

1. STAFF/MAINTENANCE: The staff is a HUGE differentiator from my peers apartments. I was blown away by the generosity, sincerity, and organization of the staff at CityLights. The manager, Irving, learned our names and apartment number within a day. He and the rest of the staff ensured that we had a smooth move in, and consistently ensure that we are happy with our stay. The package room is incredibly organized and efficient as well. Maintenance is on site, constantly working to maintain and clean the shared spaces (elevators, vacuuming each floor, scheduled larger maintenance). Their response time is super quick, so anything that comes up can be fixed within a day. Their attitude is consistently positive, funny, and hardworking. Thank you to the staff for your hard work ◡̈
2. AMENITIES: Gym, Saunas, HUGE rooftop, Tennis court on roof, Classes at gym, package room, parking garage on site.
3. LOCATION: Phenomenal location, you can be in NYC (grand central) within 12 minutes. First stop on the 7 in Queens makes transfers and traveling easy. I was honestly the most worried about location, as most of my friends and colleagues live in East Village/LES/UES. Thankfully, I never feel distant from my work or fun! And the apartment and facilities make up for this far and away. My friends from Manhattan now have a monthly movie night at my apartment because they feel at home, and love the cosy, relaxed vibe. Also…THE RIVERWALK IS STUNNING. It has become an incredible help to my mental health to walk by the river and clear my head. Not something that you can feel anywhere in Manhattan. The building is right on the river and you can walk, relax, eat, read, or study with, in my opinion, the greatest view in NYC. Restaurants, pharmacies, and local grocers within a 5 min walk.
4. APARTMENT: I rented a one bedroom with my boyfriend. We both love it! We have enough space to both work from home comfortably. Our owner is in consistent contact and is an incredibly kind person at heart. The view is unbelievable, and the appliances are up to date. We are very pleased!
5. RESIDENTS: The people in this building are incredibly kind and diverse. The shareholders are truly a community. This is a very dog friendly building as well. Very family friendly, I’ve met a few other young professionals, but would love to meet more◡̈
Overall, I love my residence. Thank you so much to the staff and my owner for making our transition smooth, and for your generosity and positivity everyday ◡̈ I absolutely love living here!

I have lived in all 5 boroughs and this is the best by far !!
Long time owner. Fun, safe place to live, close to Midtown, with a good mix of ethnic origins and age differences. Services are good, the neighborhood reads as "big sky country, " when compared to the crowds and overbuilding of Manhattan. Great park, police precinct, schools. Lucky to live here.
It is a nice olace with an ocean view.
