One of the best castles in Europe.
The town and castle of Foix is an amazing place in the world. There are some great walks around the town that give some incredible views and the castle is very well maintained. The museum is incredibly comprehensive and fun with interactive activities. There are also several people dressed up in medieval garments that will answer all of your questions about construction, smithing, weaponary and siege engines of the dark ages.

A beautiful castle of historical importance - hosting the counts of Foix and connected to the history of Catharism. Two towers of three can be climbed up to the top (narrow stairs) offering a view of the Pirenees. Several activities for schools and children, and an excellent museum of the history of Foix, albeit both only in french (but Google lens can come to the rescue)!

Fantastic visit. The museum is excellent with some great multimedia exhibits and the castle itself is spectactular with wonderful 360° views from the top of the towers. Well worth the entrance fee.
Excellent castle and museum with beautiful views of the town and mountains. Plan your visit as they have many demos of medieval tools throughout the day.
A beautiful little town with a great medieval castle. In a great condition, it's overlooking the town from the hill. The museum is informative but everything is in French. The castle offers great views of the mountains, several workshops which are interesting to see and demonstrations of medieval siege weapons.
