I've been here a few times now to camp, it's absolutely beautiful!! I stayed at the eagles nest this time. There were a few people who kept coming through the campsites and were confused about how to get to the water, so I layed out a bunch of pine cones to help direct people where to go. The sunset and weather was perfect! About an hour hike to the lookout, going up and down alot however it was stunning! Great exercise. Just be aware the parking lot is small and gets packed super early. You can wait for a car to back out or park further down the road before the on ramp and carry your stuff. If you're caught parking past the no parking signs, you will be ticketed or towed. So keep that in mind. Highly recommend tho

Beautiful trail, not much mosquitos now and the trail condition is good, there is a overflow parking across highway 400. Parking is free.

Exhausting trail… it was muddy, so it took me maybe double the time it should usually take. I guess to get there, it took me about 1 hour (probably more, there we slippery spots cause of the leftover snow). The view is beautiful. You do notice some eagles flying. However, it was windy, and I was freezing at the top as it is an open area. If you walk a bit more around, you may find fewer windy spots, and you will enjoy the place more.
Also, the parking was flooded and reduced the number of parking spots. Parking access is free.
When you arrive, the entrance to the eagle nest trail is by the left, not the one in front. Maybe you could get there too, who knows.

Beautiful trail with lots of ponds, a big lake, and very nice trees. The hike is not too dangerous or difficult to climb, however after rain it can get slippery and muddy. The fall leaf colours are amazing in this area of Ontario and spookily the trees sound like swinging doors.

Marvelous spot for camping (crown land), however the canoe will be very helpful. Lots of hiking routes, and you will definitely figure out soon why it's called eagles nest) You can also do the rock climbing over there, and I've spotted plenty of fish.

Such a beautiful place to hike. Make sure you have your hiking books, muddy in spot plus hills rock and roots.

Absolutely stunning view! It was such a peaceful place. The hike to get here wasn't bad, took about 45 min.
