Takes 5 minutes after entering the Presquile park to reach this lighthouse. You can also find a bunch on parking spots just before lighthouse parking which are just next to the lake and a great place to relax. There are washroom at this site which is not very clean. You might see few snakes while visiting this location, i have seen more snakes here then in the park for some reason. Overall great place to visit. Remember to take your binoculars.
First of all, the 4 hours limit is ridiculous, I thought we paid the day use per person and parking in full. The views were so breathtaking that you do not want to leave. you would envy your south boarder neighbors whose entrance passes per vehicle are valid for 5 days in their national parks. The trail was pretty easy until getting to the Grotto.
One of the best hikes I have ever been on! And its something you should experience if you are in Ontario specially.. Blue waters.. trail through the green is so wonderful! Make sure to reserve your parking in advance. No parking! No going in! Simple as that.. Lady at the entrance was super nice and greeted us with a lovely smile as well..!
Cost $37.50 for parking and 3 people (family). Purchased in advance online - the website took some time to figure out and register etc. so not the most user-friendly process. The grotto is maybe a 20-30 minute slow-paced walk - pretty easy overall, no rocky terrain until you get to thr Grotto itself. The Grotto cliffs have sharp and uneven rocks (care is needed) but well worth it. Didnt make it to Overhanging Point or Boulder Beach. Really nice views and a unique spot. Pretty crowded even in late September.
Nice quiet park, cool sea life when tide is out. Awesome views. Washrooms were not very clean, surprisingly because the park was very clean.
Amazing views on a bright sunny day! Diving is allowed and safe. Take your family out for a serene barbecue by the beach kind of place. Loved it.
You will have to pay for parking.

The gift store and cafe is always closed whenever I come.

There are bathrooms available though.

The lookout is very scenic and you can get many great pics here. I even once spotted an eagle here!
The Grotto is a hidden gem that I recently discovered, and it exceeded all my expectations. This enchanting spot offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The natural beauty, tranquil atmosphere, and breathtaking views make it a must-visit destination. Whether you're looking to relax, explore, or simply unwind, The Grotto has it all. I was captivated by its charm and left with unforgettable memories. Highly recommended!"

The sky wheel was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend going at night if you can. You will be able to catch the fireworks over Niagara falls as well as the night light up of the falls in the changing of the color. It's also a great opportunity to view Niagara falls from all angles and you get a couple of go around so we really enjoyed it.
Beautiful National Park, totally worth the 30 mins hiking to Grotto, you do need to make reservations ahead of time, the cost for family of 5 was less than 40$, you get 4 hrs. to hike & see the scenic trails and Grotto. We went on the holiday weekend because that was the only day we could do it but too many people, also there are flies/mosquitoes everywhere but the scenic view was espectacular. Some areas of the trail are more difficult than others, just bring comfortable clothes and shoes, plenty of water and hike at your own pace and enjoy it.

I stumbled upon this hidden gem while passing by, and I must say, it’s truly amazing! The first thing that caught my eye was the ample parking space available, which made my visit hassle-free.

The lookout point itself is a real treat. It’s even more breathtaking in person than in photos. The scenic beauty and ambiance are simply mesmerizing. Whether you’re in your car or on foot, the experience is equally fantastic.

I highly recommend stopping by this lookout point to witness its beauty firsthand. It’s a picturesque spot that’s sure to leave you in awe!

🌄✨ Gazing into Majesty at Whytecliff Lookout Point! 🏞️🌊
If you're seeking a place where the world feels like it's at your feet, the Whytecliff Lookout Point is an absolute must-visit! 🌅🌲
Standing atop this majestic perch, you'll find yourself utterly captivated by the panoramic view that unfolds before your eyes. Rugged cliffs, cloaked in emerald-green foliage, dramatically plunge into the crystal-clear waters below. 🌿💧
As you gaze out towards the horizon, you'll spot the elegant dance of sailboats on the tranquil ocean and, if you're lucky, the graceful arch of a passing whale. It's a symphony of nature's beauty that takes your breath away and paints your heart with wonder. 🚤🐋
Every moment spent at Whytecliff Lookout Point feels like a cherished glimpse into the world's natural splendor. It's a reminder of the incredible power and artistry of our planet. 🌎🙏
For those who seek solace, inspiration, or simply a place to appreciate the grandeur of Mother Nature, this spot is an invitation to let go and lose yourself in the beauty of the world. A visit here is an experience that will linger in your memory long after you've left. 📸🌟
Absolutely beautiful, it was quite a hike so wear proper shoe wear. Unfortunately I did not know you had to make a reservation to see it and had to do an impromptu sleep over since the ride over was four hours one way 😅. I wish there was something more direct on that fact as it will likely be booked up if you try to book the same day during certain times of the season. This is apparently for almost anything you would want to see in Tobemory including little cove Beach. Otherwise I'm excited to redo it again and stay for a week!
Picturesque spot in a beautiful park. Presqu'ile is one of my favorite parks to hike and camp.

Long line but worth it!! It’s odd you buy your tickets online and still have to check in at the Kiosk, there is no scan mobile ticket at the line.
It’s a bit overpriced, $50 for a family of 4 (2 toddlers), but the scenery is worth it.
Our unit was air conditioned and that was great! We really enjoyed it.
Great place to hike and bike or if the beach is more your thing plenty of room on the sandy beaches or if more secluded beaches are your thing plenty of them as well.

Lovely view and is safe for family and pets. It can get quite busy in the afternoon.

Went on a dry sunny day. Good amount of shade and light. However, the hike to the lookout (I think both trails) had many moments of large and pointy loose rocks. You’ll want to wear shoes with ankle support.
A beautiful Canadian treasure that's worth being there any time of the day, specially 15-20 mins before sunrise. Take family and friends and enjoy the beauty this place has to offer.

A great hike up here and a beautiful place in nature. Loved everything about this place.
Absolutely worth the 30 minute walking on trail, great view with cool clean water. Perfect for family trip. The water was cold when I came there, not sure if it's always cold like that, but nice for a short swimming time. I suggest to wear anti-slipery shoes when walking on the rocks. 100% recommend this place.
A very beautiful and attractive park in the heart of nature. Ocean animals such as seals, starfish and crabs are very close to you.
Enjoy watching them up close, but don't touch them.
This park is very beautiful and wonderful view, and a very good place for a weekend picnic.
Many divers come here to see the beauty of the underwater world and diving in this area is so popular and it should be really interesting. I will definitely try it one day. :)
Let start with saying this place deserves 5 stars only. The views are breath taking and out of this world.
We tried visiting this place in 2020 I believe but could not get in because of Covid.
You need to book in advance not to be disappointed and secure a spot.
It's not very expensive and costs around 40 dollars for a family of four.
Once you get there and park your car the journey starts.
There are 2 trails to reach The Grotto - we took the shorter one.
Took us about 20 mins to get there by foot - cannot use strollers or wheel chairs as it's to rocky and slippery.
You will hear the water slapping the rocks as you get closer along with the breeze blowing through the thick foliage.
Dress properly as there are constant sprays from the waves and the rocks could get slippery.
This place is not for older people or people with medical conditions.
Remember that you cannot really reach the water as it's turbulent, rough and not safe for the most part.
This was something which got me thinking - before going there I thought you could go down and enjoy the crystal clear waters.
ITS NOT SAFE AND BE CAREFUL !!!
They have washrooms there which are clean and serviced regularly - however we could not find any light switches and you need to work in semi darkness.
Carry your own water as the only fountain I saw did not look safe to drink from.
Staff here are friendly but more professional I thought.
Carry any refreshments and snacks you want as there are no shops around.

Niagara has been my backyard growing up in Hamilton Ontario. I always wanted to try the wheel but they always had massive line ups waiting for hours. The day we visited Niagara Falls was busy but the line at the wheel was short so me and the wife decided to try it out. 15$ admission ticket and it’s a quick 10 minutes ride. Price is fair and the view is pretty nice depending on when you are taking the ride. We had a sunset view from the sky wheel. Good experience overall and good worth for the money for the 350 Niagara Falls views!
Great view of the sea and the bridge. During right time you can see giant cargo ships passing by. The viewing area is well maintained and safe with grill. There is path to go further down as well. Parking here is kind of expensive. (Around $12 for 3 hours). Also has a visitor center, cafe and restrooms.

Absolutely beautiful view, you get a good time on the wheel itself as you get about 4-5 full spins before being let off. Hundreds of photos opportunities and you're able to get a great view of the volcano at the Dino Golf which occasionally spits out fire! (It'll probably go off about 4 times during your time on the wheel)

It costs $15 standard (13+) and $7 for children (12 and under)

It's first come first serve so unless you think you can get a discount buying in advance, I see no advantage doing so. Great views! Good thing to do early to get a lay of the land in Clifton Hill Park.

The pods are air conditioned. Also a great way to rest and cool off if needed. No need to bring a towel!
Pretty cool. I came mid-afternoon in August, sunny day. Maybe the lighting just wasn't right, but it was not that amazing compared to other big suspension bridge lookouts. Sunset might be better?

Amazing view
Nice location for viewing Vancouver especially at sunset time
What a breathtaking view! Here you can get a great panoramic view of west Vancouver, lion’s gate bridge and open water. Photos cannot do justice to the magnificent scene 😲 We got there by car around 11am during weekday, and it was not crowded at all and parking lot had ample space. Definitely not to be missed 👍
Incredible & rewarding views.!!!
A little gravelly climb, but not difficult

Quick and relatively easy hike. Only one stretch that quite steep with lots of loose rocks. The trail is well marked. About 40 mins to the lookout. Payoff at the end is nice but can be crowded in the summer. Saw people of ages on the trail. We wore runners and had no problem navigating the terrain. After the hike a quick side track and you can see the Lions.
I'm actually scared of ferris wheels but this one is very good! Amazing views of the falls, and the ride feels safe and smooth. It rotates about 3 full times around and the ride lasts about 10 minutes. Overall, it's a nice way to see the falls, and definitely recommend it!

Also, we got this with a bundle to see other attractions. I think it's a good deal!

You should try it

Brought some friends visiting from Spain on a Thursday evening. We got our tickets and seats really quickly. Admission was $17 per adult. I would say the ride lasted about 12-15 minutes. We got 4 full rotations, so there were lots of opportunities to take photos. The last 2 rotations went slowly as they let off other passengers. We got a great view of Clifton Hill and the dinosaur mini putt lit up at night. The view of the falls lit up is much better than in my photos.

Relatively short hike. Would take the average hiker less than an hour to climb. Great views of Bowen Island.
Very beautiful . Easy access. Be aware of the steep cliffs near the falls.. enjoy
This point gives you breath taking views of West Vancouver. You can walk on the bridge to enjoy the wide open water and land. Accessible restrooms and cafeteria near by the parking lot. Fun time with kids.
Such a beautiful day trip. We came on a Thursday, parking was plenty and there were few people in the park. It was nice to hear the breeze, the birds and a waves.

Even though we have the Ontario Parks Pass, they want us to reserve parking ahead of time.

3.5/5 I was really looking forward to riding the Niagara Sky Wheel as I had missed out on it during my previous visit to Niagara. It seemed like an iconic activity that shouldn't be missed. However, once I got on it, I realized how high it actually was. I didn't anticipate feeling a bit fearful of the heights, so if you have a fear of heights, I would advise against going on this ride. The first two rounds on the Sky Wheel were enjoyable and provided a nice ride. I felt like we got a good view of the surroundings. However, by the third round, it started to feel repetitive, and we already knew what to expect. It would have been more exciting if there was some tour guide narration during the ride experience. I must admit that the price of the ride was a little steep. If the ticket price were closer to $10 or even under $15, it would have felt like a better value for money. Nevertheless, I'm still glad I got the opportunity to ride it, considering it is such a staple activity in Niagara.

However, based on my experience, I don't think I would choose to ride the Sky Wheel again in the future. The initial excitement and novelty wore off quickly, and considering the price and lack of variation, I don't feel it's worth a repeat visit. Overall, if you haven't experienced it before, it might be worth a try, but don't expect to be blown away
Wonderful park. Out of all the provincial parks we went we keep visiting this park more often. Great beaches and the ability to park your car right in front of the beach. Dog friendly beaches available. Make sure you keep your dog on a leash on the trails.
The Seawall in Vancouver is a must-visit gem, stretching 28 kilometers from Coal Harbour to Spanish Banks Beach. Whether you walk, bike, or rollerblade, this urban pathway offers an incredible experience. From the bustling downtown to tranquil beaches, the Seawall showcases Vancouver's beauty and iconic landmarks. With stunning views of the mountains, sea, and skyline, it's accessible to all ages and abilities. Explore Stanley Park's famous section with totem poles and landmarks, or venture further for a full immersion. Stop for coffee, take a dip in heated pools, and enjoy picnics from Yaletown or Granville Island. The Seawall is a world-class attraction, guiding you through the best of Vancouver. Don't miss this memorable adventure with breathtaking views and accessibility.
Amazing place very serene with unique views. I will highly recommend to keep an eye out on the tides and water level if you intend to go on the cliff as shown in the images I attached as we were on the cliff for just 20 mins and on our way back the water level raised upto our knee level good thing we kept an eye out or else we would have to swim our way back. Ample parking and washroom. There are small hikes around the area and nice picnic spot with exceptional views. Must visit this place if you are in Vancouver area. Check out images and Follow for more.
Absolutely beautiful park! Camp sites had a good amount of privacy. The camp store was well stocked and reasonably priced. The park warden on night shifts was so nice and funny. Would definitely recommend and will certainly be back.
Prospect Point offers a breathtaking view that truly showcases the beauty of nature. Located in close proximity to Stanley Park, this attraction provides visitors with a stunning vista that is hard to match. One of the best aspects of Prospect Point is that it is entirely free of cost, allowing everyone to enjoy its magnificent sights.

The view from Prospect Point is simply awe-inspiring. From this vantage point, visitors are treated to panoramic vistas of the surrounding mountains, forests, and the sparkling waters of Vancouver. Whether you visit during the day or in the evening, the scenery is always captivating and offers a tranquil escape from the bustling city life.

Another advantage of Prospect Point is its proximity to Stanley Park. As one of Vancouver's most beloved natural spaces, Stanley Park is easily accessible from Prospect Point, allowing visitors to extend their outdoor experience. Taking a stroll along the park's trails or cycling through its scenic routes is the perfect complement to a visit to Prospect Point.

One minor drawback to keep in mind is the parking situation at Prospect Point. While the attraction itself is free, the parking fees can be quite pricey. This might be a deterrent for some visitors who are looking for more affordable options. However, there are alternative transportation methods available, such as public transit or cycling, which can help mitigate this concern.
This attraction is free to access with your camping or day-use fee. It's a beautiful place to take pictures and learn a bit about the area's history. I highly recommend travelling there by bicycle. The road is shared with slow-moving cars but traffic is infrequent and the views are gorgeous.
This is the second year in a row we’ve visited in early May to see the birds migrating through here. Always see a mix of warblers and sparrows. There are a couple of nice viewing platforms to sit and watch. The lighthouse is a nice landmark of a bygone era.

Decent lookout of the Vancouver area. Worth a stop! Don’t forget to spot mount baker!
It’s a very quiet, nice, peaceful park. It’s not crowded when you come here in April during rainy season. It was cloudy and raining when I was there. Even though the weather wasn’t nice, the view was still fantastic.
Such a beautiful serene spot. Just sitting and looking at the gorgeous north shore view will put u at ease… <3

Great viewpoint of West Vancouver and the busy waterway that leads in to the Harbor and beyond so there is a lot of shipping traffic, which included a tugboat during my visit.💗 The Lions Gate Bridge is right next to the viewpoint too. You get a decent view of the Point Atkinson Lighthouse in the distance and the Prospect Point Lighthouse down below when you walk out onto the bridge which is a short walk. It's a big bridge! Lots of access to trails from here and there are a lot of bike racks. The viewpoint is high up from the seawall so it's a hike to get here if you're exploring the trails. Only the bathrooms were open when I visited, everything else was boarded up. There were no signs so not sure if they were closed permanently or just for the season. Google Maps shows the restaurant is temporarily closed so maybe this is just a seasonal thing? As a side note, I got a parking ticket 15 minutes after I paid for parking but it was super easy to appeal online and was very painless. I was told that the handheld devices used by the parking attendants aren't always able to upload new payments. The office easily confirmed that I had paid so the ticket was dismissed just days later. Keep copies of your parking receipts.

It was a nice and easy walk in the snow. We went March 25 around 1pm. It just stopped snowing, so we had fresh snow. The path is pretty narrow, but thankfully we met only 3-4 other groups of people that we had to share the road with. We went just using winter boots, our friends in sneakers. For them it was a bit tricky going up and down on very inclined parts, but still doable. For me, my winter boots were more than enough. Spikes and sticks might be helpful, snowshoes are a bit too much (unless you like to go around the path as it’s pretty narrow). We were lucky to see the sky clear up a bit once we got to the top.

The waterfalls are so nice, but the trail to go there is basically a normal road with mabye 2 km in the woods. Nothing that special.
The little path to actually see the waterfalls is pretty steep, so it is probably better to go on a sunny day.

Despite the trees blocking more of the view compared to the previous time I visited (8yrs ago), it's still much of a beautiful scenic outlook. Bunch of switchback inclines to get here. Moderate at the most. Popular trail during summer & winter snowshoeing. The birds!

Did the Cypress Falls Loop. About 3.7km, 163m elevation logged. Easy marked trails with lots of trail markers. The trail had some pavement road shared with cars, but there wasn’t any cars to be seen. Trail going down to see the upper falls viewpoint is a little bit slippery. Lots of signs to remind you of a cliff fall at some sections.

It’s a good place to spend some time to chill. It’s a bit cold during the night but its a good view point for Vancouver
This has been my favourite place to come and sit and look at the view and just sit and think. I discovered it in 2000 before Google maps while working one day on the hill. Now it has grown into a place for many to go to. It used to only be very few people who knew it. Now it's a city landmark viewpoint. The park is comfortable and can spread out and get great pics at any time of the day. Just be respectful to the neighbours who live there please. Be clean and then we won't have issues going to their neighborhood.
Amazing sunset spot! It does get packed though, even on week days, bring a picnic blanket and snacks to sit and enjoy the spectacle!

A beautiful and private viewpoint, overlooking the city. There's a small lookout area there with some benches, where I proposed to my girlfriend. It definitely beats the other viewpoints in the city as they are usually too overcrowded and busy. I'll always have fond memories of this place, as this is definitely a hidden gem!

Behind me is the ticket booth for 3D theatre shows, you can purchase tickets for live shows that take you through an immersive experience with smells and all.

Also behind me is a great mountain backdrop for selfies. Also if you keep walking to the back towards the sea here, on the side of the Pan Pacific Hotel, you will find even a better view, both in and outdoors.
You can walk around the convention center (on the outside). There are a lot of informative signs about the history of Vancouver and you have nice views of the harbour.

I liked this hike. There are a few scrambles and embankments where a slip would definitely not be good. There is signage but No barriers so be careful. I would recommend Good Treads runner or hiking shoes or boots for this hike and a hiking stick if you knees are not the greatest, like mine.
A nice walk close to west Vancouver, however the paths are very well used and hard to follow as there is not just 1 path. Seems to be the popular dog walking area too.

A heaven to photographers! All year around at any time of the day and night, you’ll love what you can see from here. Sometimes I go there to enjoy making my pour over coffee. I was there last Saturday when the fog was covering all Great Vancouver area. When I arrived there at 7:45 am, there were at least 25 photographers capturing the fog over Great Vancouver. From this place you can see: Burnaby, UBC, North and West Vancouver. Go there to enjoy a lovely view.
