Staff is very friendly and accommodating. A lot of the negative reviews were reviews under the previous super-- he was fired before the holidays last year and the maintenance staff (porter/handyman) were replaced. They are incredibly hard working and responsive to concerns. The building is kept clean, especially now during the pandemic, and front desk staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful. We've really enjoyed our time here. While currently closed due to the pandemic, there's a brand new gym, kid's play room, and a rooftop lounge that you can reserve for parties or events at no extra charge. There's a car garage that you can rent a space at for an extra fee right in the basement. It's a very modern building, and IMO is a good contender to the Alexander a few blocks down without being overly pretentious. Has much larger units also....the square footage of some of these units in hard to find these days in newer buildings.

The Contour is a great building to live in. The building is kept clean, the service is amazing, the amenities are wonderful, the building staff is friendly and outgoing, and the management office is easy to deal with and is very accommodating. It feels like living in a posh hotel. Highly recommended.

I've been living here for 5 years and wanted to move but got stuck here because of covid. While they replaced the super, and the new one is very nice and does answer requests - the building does absolutely nothing about the terrible people who live here. Pot smoker who's been smoking for years and they can't even install security cameras to catch him. Neighbors stomping on my ceiling despite being asked multiple times to stop. A lot of old appliances are breaking down and it takes weeks to replace or to get an actual repairman to come in and fix it. Often the solution is to "swap in another one" which sometimes can make things worse than they initially were. Building company absolutely doesn't care and will continue to raise rent every year while offering "months free" to any new residents. You live 40 minutes from Manhattan, and there's now apartments with similar amenities for lower rent and full time doormen (here it's only part time) that cost the same if not less.
