Much has already been said, but it is a good experience.
We first went to the Soviet War memorial and the walked up the main thoroughfare passed the statue of the crier and up to the gate.
It was at dusk so the atmosphere was very nice with the rich colours in the sky.
I won't add any more info about the gate as there is alot online.
The Jewish holocaust memorial is just a short walkaway and we then went to Checkpoint Charlie by which time it was dark and had a real Cold War feel about it in the dark (if you ignore the modern bits like the KFC/McDonald's signs)

The Brandenburg Tur Berlin is the most famous attraction of Berlin. The historical significance of this iconic gate is awe-inspiring. The guided tour provided insightful information about its rich history. The surrounding area is vibrant and perfect for taking in the city's atmosphere. The architecture is stunning, and it's a must-visit for anyone in Berlin. The only downside was the crowds, but it's a testament to its popularity. Overall, a memorable visit and a must-see landmark when in Berlin!

It is a lot of very old stone cut and cleaned and placed in such an order that it is really good looking. Obviously it is a tourist must see and I hope people taking the pictures with it in frame look up the history of it. It is well worth checking it out day and night.

Very nice to visit in the summer. The sun is warm, the place around feels festive. There were lots of tourist and it was generally fun to look around and enjoy the sites. I joined a few tours and the history is very interesting too.

Massive place. Loads of space to stand in front of it. Completely free.
I'd recommend going in the day, but also passing by at night as well. It is a different atmosphere at each time. In the evening there were more street performers playing music. Also there were individuals throwing lights into the air which looked really good.

This is a iconic landmark of Belin. This is the only city gate which is still standing. Old days you had to pay a toll to go across. The place is very busy and usually gets very crowded so the best time to visit here is early morning or late night.

Iconic landmark. Always busy with tourists, difficult to get a clear photo. Even at night the place is busy. Easy to get to whether walking and talking in other wonderful views or public transport. One must see landmark in Berlin and Germany.
