The theater is a little dated and could use a little cosmetic help. HOWEVER, the seats were VERY comfortable and the theater is small and intimate. The seats are raised up as you go back so you are able to see from just about anywhere. Also, the seats are staggered that i allowed you to see between the person in front of you. No trying to look over their shoulder.
There was a person selling merch from a small cabinet as you walked out which was great. I was able to make a purchase in about 30 seconds and leave with my group. Smart idea.
Bathrooms were down a LOT of stairs. I saw some older people walking back up. They didn't seem very happy . I assume there would be a bathroom on the main level, but ask before you buy tix if you think you might need one!
Line to get in was all the way down 48th Street to Broadway. We got there about 20 minutes before the show and it was a crazy long line. Show started about 5-10 minutes late.
Leopoldstadt was EXCELLENT.

a play “Leopoldstadt” runs at the Longacre theater. Entering required staying in a line for 10 minutes and then another line to a box office to pick up a ticket. It makes sense to be 15-20 minutes earlier in order to avoid crowds and save your time. There is no intermission and were no drinks or snacks offered. Sounds of Ambulance from outside was head. A great play based on real facts about two Jewish families who lived in times of persecutions, WW1 and Holocaust. Very touchy performance, lots of monologues, real photos on a movie screen. Loved traditional Jewish music and songs. A play is lengthy, be prepared to spend over 2 hours.

Beautiful theatre, large but with tight seating which is typical in these old palaces. Saw Leopoldstadt (Mar. 2023) and I highly recommended it: excellent story and acting, and it left me quite moved.

Gorgeous theater, Centrally located. But like many of the classic theaters in New York City, the seats were narrow and tiny. I saw Leopoldstadt. It was well done.

I have seen a couple musicals here Macbeth and Leopoldstat. Both times in orchestra. Orchestra seats closer to offer a great view of the stage and you would be able to see the whole stage.

It was getting near to the end of my trip to New York and i wanted to see at least one more show before it left. I had been listening to the cast recording of ‘The Prom’ before and I really enjoyed it, so getting to see it live was a perfect decision! I was trying to get the cheapest seat available so I went to the box office and asked however the cheapest one had been sold whilst i was talking to the saleswoman - she offered me a more expensive seat which was reduced (it ended up being around $10 more than the cheapest one) so I bought it. Everyone who worked in the theatre was super friendly and when I got to the Mezzanine I had an usher swap me round to Centre Mezzanine which was really nice. It was the furthest row back, however she came and told me that I could move to the second row after the lights went down but I preferred to stay where i was :) after Act 1 i then said thank you to her for letting me move and she then told me that i could go and sit wherever I liked as long as no one sat there so I moved back to second row for Act 2 and i had a great view! The show as a whole was very enjoyable and funny, and it left me feeling really positive. I’d love to come and see it again!!

The show was excellent, and who wouldn't like to watch it with a sippy cup of red wine?! This place was beautiful and the cast of Prom were theatrically amazing! buy tickets at the box office as opposed to online to get the best deal right before the show!
