Sad reminder of what once was...tired old stores aside from the anchors...
Mall has basics which some of bigger malls don't have like post office, grocery and pharmacy. Older mall that could use a bit of care but great to whip through and get things done. Great location near lots of box stores compensating for what the mall doesn't have.
Runned down mall, hostile security, the staff there Is very ignorant If you ask for a job, not the best mall In the city highly suggest any mall but this one, unless you’re looking for some problems, the doors are not sanitized my friend had a stroke due to fentanyl exposure on the handles, and now he’s left paralyzed, loitering signs In the mall so people who window shop or look around will get a handful from security, I had an Issue with a guard her hair Is In a bun and she was very abusive with her license she thinks she Is a cop and likes to put hands on kids who have lunch and hang there cause It’s close to a school where else would you hang, that’s what all kids did back In the day was hang at the mall and look at stuff, buy stuff, I did the tiles there and I can say a lot more, again I do not recommend this mall It’s poorly staffed, and staff there eyeball you for walking around.
Mall is okay but this one security guard with a bun sticking out the back of her head was quite rude and kicked me out because I was at the mall for to long in her eyes. I wasn't causing any issues just minding my own walking around and charging my phone and did some groceries at farmboy. i didnt see an issue with that and neither did the other security guards and mall staff that I seen multiple times except for this one. I'm usually there everyday and haven't had any issues until today with her. If you re looking for a spot to get out of the rain for a few hours I don't suggest going to the mall you'll just get kickedout.
They've upgraded the bathrooms which is great and they are clean. Marshalls and Sport Check are the only two major stores I ever visit. There are other small stores like Bentleys, a rug store and a general gift store but they are unappealing to me (they look dated). I use some of the service partners, like Vezina and the alterations/seamstress since they are close to where I live.
The Mall could use an extra entrance (at least) on Merivale. It is often trafficky and repairs to the side entrance on Viewmount (it has a huge pot hole that has been there for over 3 months) should be fixed.
The traffic getting into the mall itself was increased due to the addition of the canabis store.
I love the Farm Boy and the convenience of having a Shoppers Drug Mart near where I live. However, if these stores weren't there, I probably would not go to the Merivale Mall.
The Mall could benefit from upgrading the look and reorganizing the stores and services in a manner that is more appealing to the public.

Great place to grab a bite, workout at Planet Fitness and do some shopping. Conveniently located near other well known retailers.
This mall is not for an active shopper! It is nice and clean and there are loads of parking spaces available but unfortunately, there are limited choices when it comes to apparel and food and the washrooms need to be renovated. This is definitely more of a leisure mall.
