Nice pub atmosphere, but the food was overcooked. We asked for eggs over medium, and they were practically hard-boiled. They tried to make it up to us with a free dessert, but then they were out of the dessert they promised. Prices are too high to be okay with that.

A very cosy low key pub restaurant with multiple seating zones including a bar, an inside patio and outdoor curbside. The food was amazing (especially a salmon burger and the liver parfait) but the greatest thing is their selection of beers, ciders and they even carry meads which is a rare thing in the city.

This is a great Upper East Side pub with solid food and an amazing atmosphere. The restaurant is beautiful inside, and the pre-fix lunch menu is an outstanding value. I think I've found my new favorite pub on the east side of town!

Staff were amazing and the food was delish! I have seen people write about price, well it’s on UES and seems normal to have this price which compliments the service, ambience and the taste. The pudding (i don’t like puddings) but tried it from my husbands plate and loved it.

Great service and servers, very disappointing food.

Came here with a British friend, and we got the Yorkshire pudding, full English breakfast, grilled cheese, and the sticky toffee pudding.

The full English was probably the most disappointing. Two sad pieces of bacon/ham, not even seared. A tiny sausage, and a single piece of blood pudding. The beans were in a little container on the side, and was more sauce than beans. (You can see in the pic I took)

The sticky toffee pudding was also particularly sad. The rum sauce was way too strong and bitter. The Trader Joe’s toffee pudding is a lot better.

Maybe the beer is good, or some other stuff on the menu, but I don’t think I’ll be back to try.

Really nice brunch spot in NYC! I had the shepherd’s pie, which was delectable. The reviews were right: it’s definitely a must try! Friends also enjoyed their dishes, and the white sangria pitcher we ordered for the table complemented the food well. Overall a solid experience.

Have been here for years and the food has never disappointed. Had Sunday Roast this time which had the roast beef juicy and tender. Scotch eggs were really decent too. Always love the banoffee pie which has been slightly changed throughout the years but consistently good. Note that they do not have a liquor license so you can only order beer, wine or a wine based cocktail.

If eating at a British pub, a dish like shepherd's pie and cask pale ale would be apt. The root vegetables and ground lamb were sealed with mashed potatoes making for a tasty lunch. The pale ale was mellow and washed the meal down nicely.

The best thing about this place is the atmosphere. It really looks like an authentic pub with a nice staff.
