Castle District

It is one of the most unique and beautiful castle districts in the world. Full of amazing historical places, great restaurants, cafés and sweatshops. Almost always, there is some entertainment going on. And at many spots, it provides a breathtaking view to the city. It is worthy to spend there a few hours and just to get lost on the streets.

Totally worth the visit for a stroll and the view of the city. Sunset is busy but comfortable, better take the funicular or some of the buses to go upt there and then descend to Danube through the little streets

The castle district in Budapest is magical. The views are spectacular and it is so safe to walk around. We stayed at the Hilton and it was magnificent. The rooftop is absolutely amazing.

It is a beautiful place with spectacular views of the city. The only thing I didn't like is that you have to buy different tickets for each place you want to visit and wait in line for each. And like in most places there, you pay to use toilet :-(

Was a great place to spend a day wandering around. We got a shuttle which took us uphill and had 4 locations where you could get on or off. Usually you can get a funicular to top but it was out for maintenance. Saw the castle and changing of guards, Also found tower which we climbed to top of and had amazing views. Beautiful church to go inside for a break away from the crowds of people.

I randomly decided to go here after a very long night out instead of going to bed so was at dawn. Highly recommend visiting at dawn. Stunning views of the sun coming up and great architecture. I also saw at least 3 couples having awesome wedding/photo shoots, lovely to see

If you're planning a trip to Budapest, make sure to add this place to your itinerary. It's an absolute must-visit for its stunning views of the city, the river, and the parliament. The architecture is awe-inspiring and you can easily spend hours here taking it all in.

In terms of food and drinks, be prepared to pay a bit more than usual. The restaurants and cafes in the area can be quite pricey, but the views they offer make up for it. If you're on a budget, there are plenty of green spaces around where you can bring a picnic and enjoy the scenery.

I visited during the day, but I can only imagine how stunning it would be during the night as well. It's a popular spot for evening strolls, so if you're looking for a romantic or picturesque setting, this place won't disappoint.

Overall, I highly recommend adding this spot to your itinerary when visiting Budapest. Whether you're interested in architecture, photography, or simply enjoying breathtaking views, this place has something to offer for everyone.
