Since the temperatures have fallen below 20* all this winter the heaters have always been off..
.I wish the management and the rest handling fall Into similar situation .
See what's is like to have no heat.

Linda is literally the most improfessional agent. I have contacted her regarding an apartment on streeteasy and she never responded. I asked my assistant to inquire about the apartment and she also never received a reply. What is the point to use agents for a listing if they never respond to inquiries. I personally feel bad for the owners listing their apartments with an agent not looking to the owners best interests

I would give them zero stars if I could. From the inept management and board of our co-op to these clowns at DE. I called the switchboard and their receptionist actually huffed and sighed that she had to take a message then she literally laughed when I told her I have left several messages for the same person that does not return my calls. What a joke.

Douglas Elliman PM is an absolute atrocity of a company. We have been without heat in our bedroom ALL winter in NYC. It took months of calls, emails, complaints, and reports to 311 to FINALLY get heat in the spring time. Promised concessions for the inconvenience of this issue have not been met and now management states they never agreed on the discount they said they would give to us. A measly $250 concession in an overpriced apartment is NOT enough to cover 4 months of no heat in winter with temperatures dropping below 20 degrees. Keep in mind, this is only ONE issue with management. And not to mention, illegal.

Emails are not responded to. Calls are continuously ignored. We moved into a dirty, unkept apartment with a broken oven that leaked gas, a microwave with a broken handle, tears and holes in the walls, a dirty toilet, clogged sinks and drains, a broken exhaust fan in the bathroom. Keep in mind, we didn't know about these issues, as we had a viewing of the apartment while the old tenant was living here. We couldn't move in on the date the renters initially shared with us because they stayed that they needed a week to clean the apartment... which they clearly did NOT do. We don't even have a working door bell nor intercom. There's an intercom downstairs in the main lobby, but don't let that fool you. It doesn't actually work for any tenant in the building. There's nothing connected to the rooms. This is another illegal issue with the building based on NYC law.

I deeply regret moving into a building run by such an incompetent business.

More than half of the major appliances were broken or has broken since moving in 5 months ago. Clearly nothing was checked after the last tenant left. Let alone we didn't even have a key to our mailbox for weeks and were never told where packages went in the apartment. We haven't had heat in our bedroom all winter and have had to contact the heating repair company directly to get any form of updates. The heating unit was taken multiple times with no replacement heating unit or insulation installed. Instead we had trash bags covering a large 16"x48" hole in the wall multiple times during winter, trash bags are not very insulating. Communication from management on how this will be remedied has been poor and the heat is still not fixed. Check everything yourself before you agree to sign a lease with Douglas Elliman.

I rarely leave bad reviews,... but this one had to be done!
This Mismanagement Company never returns calls or emails. Very unprofessional and unresponsive. Prepare for an epic runaround . It has been a month since I vacated, and I still have not been able to get a hold of someone to even talk about getting my refund back. I have never seen this level of mismanagement before!

Terrible experience with DE: I had to cancel the purchase of an apt managed by this company, but the move in fee of $500 had been collected by the RE agent. Since November 2019 I have been trying to get the refund. Either my calls remained unanswered or there was no follow up. I am still trying. Very frustrating to deal with this company!
