Duchal Castle

A bit tricky to find, but lovely scenery.

Despite it being over grown with limited accessibility, the little that remains of Duchal castle can make you feel like you're connected to some ancient and forlorn in a way most castles don't. You can see the work that time has done grinding the remaining walls down and standing there amongst the ruins, one can feel immensity and insignificance all at once. Check it out and probably don't bring small children.

Definitely worth a look, but tread carefully as there are some very deep holes (wells?) hidden in the undergrowth. The gorge of the Green Water burn is worth checking out too.

There's nothing left of it but the scenery is pretty nice. Take a few joints with you!
