They are terrible! if you switch from them they will bill you wildly. even if they can observe it is wrong. they will not help you. they are a bad provider.

BUYER BEWARE - Ever increasing rates will get you paying heaps more every quarter.
Faking difficulties in meter reading to charge you more according to their inflated estimates. For your final reading, they refuse to actually read the meter and bill through guesswork that works to their advantage.
This company is dishonest and draining. Avoid and do your research, the sharks at Next Energy don't care too much.
Very happy to move away from them back to normal and acceptable rates that remain stable.
Don't trust any 5 star review as it is faked by the company to lure you into their confusing contract

My recent sales call experience I had with one of your sales representatives named 'Greg'. Unfortunately, the encounter left me deeply concerned and disappointed with the conduct displayed during the conversation.
I will outline the sequence of events that took place during the call:
Greg called our business line during regular business hours, which was not a suitable time for such a call.
1. I politely informed Greg that it was an inconvenient time and that I was not interested in discussing any deals.
2. Despite expressing my disinterest, Greg requested both my number and my wife's number.
3. I said I'm busy and I don't have time for this, hoping for him to know I'm not interested in this call.
4. I reiterated my lack of interest and asked him to remove us from the sales list.
5. Shockingly, Greg stated that he would speak to my wife instead, completely disregarding my decision as the owner of the business.
6. I firmly reminded him that I am the decision-maker and that calling my wife would not change my stance.
7. Despite my objections, Greg persisted in his intention to contact my wife, ignoring my repeated requests to desist.
8. Throughout the conversation, I repeatedly asked Greg not to call us again and to remove us from the sales list, but my requests were not respected.
However, the most concerning part of the call was when Greg made inappropriate and offensive remarks. He questioned my ethnicity, asking if I was Chinese, and further labeled me as "rude."
I must emphasize that racism has no place in any professional interaction, and such behavior is completely unacceptable. I find it deeply troubling that a representative of your company would engage in such conduct during a sales call.
I have recorded the conversation for my records, and I am considering discussing this matter with my legal counsel due to the discriminatory nature of the comments made by Greg.
I kindly request that you investigate this matter thoroughly, take appropriate actions to address this issue, and ensure that your sales team adheres to the highest standards of conduct and ethics.
I hope that your company takes this matter seriously and implements measures to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.

Our business was hit adversely by Covid and we decided to shop around for our energy provider. What’s offered is a genuine service with highly competitive pricing and we’re glad we stumbled upon NBE.

Rates just jumped 40% on energy use and the daily service fee just jumped 59%.
They casually wrote to say my annual electricity use is expected to increase by a cool $16k this financial year based on current usage and the new rates. Wowza. 🤦♂️
Better off staying w/ Ergon.
Ergon is currently charging me .23/kWh and these guys have me @ .32/kWh in the same post code at another property.
I would be $500 better off PER MONTH with Ergon!!!
Avoid if possible.

Can you just stop with the multiple calls a day please!!!! I have blocked 6 numbers from this Indian company already and it's now becoming harrassment. 5 calls just today and multiple on the weekends. Scammers!

Signed up for an account through ‘make it cheaper’ to be later rejected by their accounts team due to sitting outside their credit parameters - later to be advise when I called that they are discriminating against all Victorian hospitality businesses and rejecting all businesses who fall within that sector - our current business performance or credit rating being having nothing to do. Way to discriminate against well performing businesses trying to save some cash!
