The Venice Symphony

For a small town, this symphony is top rate. Its director conducts without the benefit of sheet music. Knows it by heart!! Impressive.

I recommend attending the mistro talk before the concert.

The Venice Symphony is a phenomenal orchestra! As a non-musician, I have enjoyed going to see them over other orchestras in the area. Their programming is really diverse and there seems to be something for everyone at every concert. The conductor and the orchestra are incredibly talented and obviously love making music. I’m a fan!

We attended the patriotic performance at Cool Today Park last night and it was a disaster ... It took over an hour to get 1 mile into the stadium as the VS wouldnt pay for police support and then the stadium management had inadequate help to collect parking fee which created these bottlenecks. Many patrons missed up to the 1st half of the program. Then for a so called Patriotic Concert it was garbage. Last years concert was out of this world and resulted in great crowd this year. Wait till next year and doubt few will show as they got ripped off this year.

Attended the 2022 Patriot Pops concert last night. Love the Symphony, but this year’s concert was a big disappointment. Poor planning caused a huge traffic problem, many people including my self was caught in traffic and never got into the stadium until 8:30 pm having been in line since 6:30 pm. The only thing left was Rockapellas performance which had nothing to do with the Patriotic theme and there style music did not blend with our Symphony. Many of my friends, regular attenders also felt this compared very poorly to the past Patriotic Pops concerts. I wish I could have fast forwarded through Rockapella and just enjoyed the fireworks.

Parking was a horrible situation at CoolToday park for the patriotic concert. Unfortunately we were able to hear 15 minutes due to waiting one hour and forty-five minutes in line to park. Realize it was a logistical problem with the park. However, the comments in the parking lot and for those arriving late the conception is focused on the Symphony. The Symphony is an awesome organization and provides outstanding entertainment for the greater Venice community. Hopefully the patrons will continue their support in spite of this snafu.

Phenomenal performance by the Venice Symphony! My entire family attended Fantasy, Firebird and Fabiola in April 2022. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the performance, and my children absolutely loved the Suite from How To Train Your Dragon. Before moving to Florida, we regularly attended the wonderful St. Louis Symphony at Powell Hall. I was pleasantly surprised to discover The Venice Symphony after moving to the area. Thank you Venice Symphony for providing such fabulous entertainment. We will definitely be returning next season.

I can not understand why this organization at every concert is asking us persistently for donations when they have more than 9 million dollars in reserves. Plus land donated. Why are they are applying for grant money and why keep begging aggressively for donations. It seems very unethical to me. My brother is a big patron and often donates, he takes me to some of their wonderful concerts.Their concerts are very good, I very much enjoyed their Oscars show, one of my favorites so far. I just don't understand the constant asking for money and donations when they have more than 9 million in the bank plus valuable land.
