This is always a nice place to visit, lots of shops and restaurants. And don't forget the beach.
Cute downtown though I don't understand how it mimics Venice, Italy. Nevertheless lots of shops and places to eat with free ample parking. Very nice.
Really enjoyable and welcoming downtown scene. Very pedestrian friendly with a good variety of shops balanced with some pleasant park/promenade kind of spots to walk or just sit and enjoy the scenery.
Plus, it's very close to several nice beaches and parks, so it makes for a perfect little morning or afternoon day out activity spot. We'll be back for sure!

It is so delightful, especially to walk around. Wonderful shops like the Island Bookstore, Abode (for amazing clothes), and when you're hungry for something healthy, Mission Organic. Just a relaxing and enjoyable stroll. Not a lot of places to rest or cross if you're walking or mobility impaired.
Downtown shopping in Venice is a great experience. The shops are great and the boutiques are beautiful and carry such beautiful high end clothes. If you take care of your clothes, like I do, you'll have them a long time. The store owners and staff treat you all so nice, no pressure to buy, just so helpful. In one store I bought a dress, the shoes, a pocketbook and the jewelry, for my new dress. So much fun shopping with my girlfriends! Started the day at a French bakery to die for!

Hello friends, on location here at Venice FL. Decided to treat my beautiful wife a different county. This location is beautiful, lay back, lots of retirees. Location is clean lots and lots of Italian cuisines. Plenty of free parking in the historic downtown location.
Recommending Daiquiri Deck, menu is great, service is good, friendly folks, decent prices. Check it out.
