Regrettably, my recent travel experience was marred by challenges. Unfortunately, due to what seemed like a breakdown in management and encounters with staff that lacked the expected courtesy, I found myself navigating the entire airport, resulting in a missed flight and an unexpected expense of $150. I hope this feedback encourages the airline to address these issues for a smoother and more customer-friendly experience.

The worst airline I have EVER been on. Rescheduled our flight 4 times, only to cancel it when we were at the gate. Removed the seats we paid for and only gave us very basic reimbursement for the hotel. Our flight back was pushed back by a full day and our entire family (including young children) are scattered over the plane. The worst experience I have ever had. Never flying with them again.

They cancelled the flight without any prior information. We had to wait for more than 8 hours to board our flight. They were not polite enough to offer any lounge arrangement either. Very poor service. The ground staffs wouldn’t help you out either.

I was a loyal Virgin Australia flyer for many years until recently. This week they cancelled 2 of my flights and rescheduled for the next day. The second flight was cancelled only 30 minutes before boarding. I had to find my own overnight accommodation and transport, missed important appointments, not to mention the inconvenience to family members dropping me off and waiting to pick me up at my destinstion! What a shambles!!
Needless to say I will be looking to book with other airlines in the future!

Arrived at check in to be told they over booked my flight. I booked the flight months ago and they put me on the next days flight without any notice of the change.
My partner was on a separate booking and I paid the higher rate to be on the same flight. Only to be " kicked off". I bet they won't reimburse me for the cheaper rate flight that I'm now on ...
This airline has definitely not recovered from bankruptcy.
Be warned, do not rely on this airline if your travel dates are not flexible.

Virgin Australia is always lacking in some department. But they always cancel your flight 5 minutes before your departure on the most important of days. The "compensation" booking of my hotel didn't even get registered. Thanks for nothing, I hope your reputation burns.

I booked a flight with Virgin Australia months in advance for a family trip to Launceston, including five children. After a two-hour journey to the airport, all bags were checked in, only for our flight (VA 1546) to be abruptly canceled just 30 minutes before departure. The lack of communication and consideration for the inconvenience caused was appalling.
Instead of offering any meaningful compensation, we were only provided with a simple reimbursement for the flights. Forced to rebook through a different airline at a significant cost and find accommodation in Melbourne, the entire experience was nothing short of a nightmare. The two-hour wait in line for reimbursement added insult to injury.
Virgin Australia's complete disregard for the impact on customers, especially when traveling with children, has left a lasting negative impression. This incident has cost us not only financially but also in terms of the stress and inconvenience endured. Needless to say, I will never consider using Virgin Australia again and strongly caution others against relying on this airline for their travel needs.
