Manchester Airport Multi Storey T2 East

The pick up point was a bit hard to find, kept going round the roundabouts and I finally saw the sign and arrow,I think it really ought to be a bigger sign for pick up, drop off is bigger, no problem with that, but anyway I managed and pay at machine was £6.00 so not bad, I was expecting £12 like at terminal 3 last year, (but he did forget his suitcase last year and took time to retrieve it) but these things are sent to try us.

More like a shopping centre than an airport, designed to get the punters to part with their cash before they depart on their holidays. Please provide a shortcut from security to the departure lounge to avoid the walk through duty free.
The toilet facilities are also totally inadequate for the number of people who have to use the airport. In this modern age I’m surprised they do not have the latest bag scanning equipment , Rome Fiumicino has it, why not Manchester? Typical British cost cutting as usual no doubt.

Dropping off relative for Qatar flight from T2. T2 east multi storey car park is pre book only, so had to go to T2 west. It was 6pm, loads of empty spaces. 5 min walk, or so, to T2. Brought relative to Qatar desk, first desk on entry, which is handy. Booked in and onto security and saw them off. Walked back to the car and off home. Total cost of car park £6. Which, if I recall, is almost the same price as using the drop off area only. Surprised at the cost, thought it would be a lot more. Will use T2 West car park in future.

Airport is nice. Custom is very efficient. Security is horrible, as nearly every bag gets pulled over for extra screening, including you.

Good food and shopping options.

All in all very good staff friendly clean the only thing that is a bit of a bind is when there are not a lot people going through customs and passport control you still have to walk all the way round when they could move some of the barrier tapes just to make it a bit quicker to go through

I am always confused to the best options to pick up passengers. It is also expencive rip off. What is frustrating is that there is no response in terms of improving the price or directions

First time using this car park, staff were friendly both dropping off and picking up. At drop off, barrier didn't recognise license plate but quickly resolved. At pick up, easy to find the key, and we were away in minutes (which when you have 2 young kids, was a god send). Highly recommended
