Stromboli Pizza

The best Pizza on the planet!
Let me start with I don't write many reviews but this has to be shared. Im Italian and eat pizza every where I go and this place is the top and a 40min drive to get there for me, pass 1,000 other pizza places to get here but worth it!
I've been coming here since the 90's.the pizza has always been consistently amazing crispy on the bottom delicious sauce and cheese , there pepperoni sausage slice is something to experience! First there is no shortage of toppings but the slice is not covered in oil
And with the toppings it still firm, bursting a perfect balance flavor with still being Crispy. Treat your taste buds and enjoy!

It's been a few years since I've been here last. I was a bit taken aback by the prices. $22 bucks for 3 plain slices, 1 white slice, and 2 cokes. Same jacked prices as Midtown. The slices were ok. Not the quality of days gone by, but I guess things change. They have beer on tap, which is a huge plus.

There is a reason why Nino's pizzeria ain't around no more and Stromboli's is still here 🍕.

If you value your life and health I implore you, don't eat here! I was food poisoned here a few days ago. An entire night of projectile vomiting and diarrhea.

We ordered a pie half pepperoni for a friend, mushrooms and onions for me. He didn't eat mushrooms only I did, so we hypothesized the mushrooms had to be the problem since it's the most fragile food on my pizza.

It was definitely that pizza cuz I hadn't eaten anything else since that morning. Within 3 hours of eating the pie I was bent over the toilet in agony.

My family is in the restaurant biz so I didn't want to do this review, I called to speak to owner to alert them and hopefully they could rectify problem before they sicken more customers.

Instead the woman on the phone chose to defend integrity of the pizzeria as if I was lying. If they had used canned mushrooms it would mean it's not their fault, reports of canned mushrooms with toxins were reported going around in NYC.

But she doubled down on their integrity and said they only utilize fresh mushrooms. Which means it's absolutely the establishment's fault.

She tried to make amends by offering a free pie but the last thing I want is another shot at death ☠️ I only wanted them to fix situation. If it had been my friend who is a diabetic and fragile health it could've killed him.

She took down my number and said an owner would get back to me but that never happened. So I had to do this review to warn others.

I don't like to do bad reviews cuz I know the restaurant industry is tough, but this place is dangerous, I should probably notify the health department

I would eat here very often when I often stayed in the East Village in the 90s. I always grab a slice when I'm back in town. This visit I took my 10 year old niece for her first bite of NY pizza. A right of passage. She loved it.

Good spot for a quick slice, we were waiting on an Uber to pick us up and had about 7 mins before it got to our location. It was a complete fluke as we just decided to stop in while we were waiting and so glad we did! It’s a reheat place but the pizza is still good and affordable. The staff are really friendly which is what makes any place! Would love to come here again.

Passed by late on my visit to NY on a bad night. Staff was super nice. Pizza was really fresh and pretty good!
