Good food and great atmosphere. Went around 6PM on a weekday and was not too crowded. You can pay with credit card but they accept only cash tips. The staff was very friendly and made good recommendations.

Excellent Pierogi, stuffed cabbage and Borscht. Short wait at 2p (20minutes) but main lunch crowd left. Ordered and in less than 7 minutes the meal came 😋❣️🎉 worth the wait. No rushing as I finished my 20oz glass of Orolon (Ukrainian beer).

I’ve had positive delivery experiences every time! The National dish, coconut rice, and curry shrimp are wonderful. You really can’t beat the lunch special. I grew up in a Thai-Malaysian household and call tell you IT’S GOOD! It would be nice to see more dessert options. 😉

Overflowed from nearby Shanghai restaurant, and I’m embarrassed because what’s ordered shouldn’t be called the name on the menu. It’s something else pretending to be authentic, and doesn’t taste good whatever the style is.

First rate hot borscht, a brothy stew really. First rate sauerkraut, beautifully spiced. And of course great pierogi. Kind attentive server, even if the place was not too busy.
We were very dissapointed by the staff there, it was in July, very crowded place, and they were screaming on customers to be fast at deciding and placing orders.

Then, they forgot half of the order, and didn't serve exactly what we asked (missing cheese on the fries)

Also there are no "menus" you have to by each item separately ,which makes it quite expensive for a fast food.
Noisy. Crowded. Did I mention loud?. But hey, it's Broadway, get over it. Burger was OK. Fries were a disappointment, no better than the frozen supermarket kind. The chocolate milkshake, however, was killer. Would I go to Shake Shack again? I live in LA, where we have In-and-Out. What do you think?

Delicious food however the Chef has to pay more attention to meat temperature on French Onion Soup Burger. Nothing can beat this burger if it is cooked medium rare.
Probably my favorite Italian restaurant on the UWS. Old school vibe with great food and wine. My wife and I are frequent customers. Can’t go wrong on the menu.

Delicious, reasonably priced Ukrainian comfort food, Veselka is one of my favorite spots in the East Village. Their pierogi and latkes are the best. Great place to stop by on a weekday for breakfast or for brunch with friends and family on the weekend. Friendly and attentive wait staff, service is prompt, and professional. Come hungry, and enjoy a taste of Ukraine in New York.
Service and food was amazing ! Our server Roberto was great and attentive and made our experience perfect !! Pizza was thin & crisp and rich in flavor ! Appetizer was also 10/10

Delicious escargots and I keep wanting to go back to that onion soup burger! Those fries and ketchup were very good too. Service is great and so is the food. This restaurant has been there for ages, which explains why the place seems a little old. It still serves yummy food and I recommend it. They have executive pre-fixed menus.

Just the Italian restaurant I was looking for. When we came out of the museum, we saw what was around and we said let's go right away. The naturalness and experience of the decoration, the constant attention of the owner, the good job of the service personnel, and most importantly, the tastes of the food were great. Businesses that love to do their job immediately reveal themselves. I love restaurants with a stance. I hope it stays like this forever. Don't forget to take cash with you when you go. They warn you while you're already sitting because they don't accept credit cards.

A bit pricey but the food tastes good. I like the flavoring of the borsh, the stuffing of pierogies, the dense texture of the cakes. I had the vegetarian plate delux, and it did come with tons of grain which I couldn't finish and packed. Tis my 2nd visit.
Food is great, prices are great, atmosphere is homey and nice if you eat in. It's not accessible, which is my only big complaint, but the restaurant isn't fancy, but feels very homey.

It's a bit cheaper than Chinese restaurants on Broadway, a bit more than the old school ones on Amsterdam, but the food is better than both. It's not super greasy, and has nice fresh flavors. Also they don't skimp on the coconut water/milk so you can really taste it. I think the Beef Rendang and the Lemongrass porkchop are excellent, and the lion roll is pretty good. Also pretty much everything I've tried from their menu has been at least good. The Casserole is also good.

I recommend 100%
This is a very busy location. The service was speedy for the amount of traffic. The customer service was blah. It was normal for New York. The restaurant was dirty and trash was overflowing. Do better on the cleanliness! And this was in the area we had to eat in.

First of all I wanted to support Ukraine in this awful and unfair war. I heard a lot about this restaurant and wanted to try authentic Ukrainian food. It was really delicious and amazing experience. Also they donate for Ukrainian people which was also very important for me. Glory to Ukraine! And looking for a victory.
P.S. Cold borscht was the best!
Very pleasant decor, good food, though I would have liked to see more vegetable options, portions are generous. They have Sat and Sun specials. We were there on Sunday for dinner. Besides us, all the other customers were, possibly, Ecuadorian. The juices are all freshly blended- very nice. We had pineapple and papaya juices. Street parking was ok, or the 8th Ave subway is convenient. Very near City College, in Hamilton heights.

This is a great place for take out or delivery but not the same for dining. Food was good but a bit too salty. No ice for drink. Looks like the dining area is only 2 tables. Again this place can be good for take out .

I tried their Chicken Paprikash (braised chicken over egg noodles) and was surprised by how much I liked it. The chicken was well-cooked, the flavour of the sauce was delicious, and the braised chicken went well with the egg noodles. The portion size was just right and the food was good value ($21 for the main dish as well as a side of your choosing). The service was efficient, although they did mix up a few of our dishes. Would love to come back and try some of their other dishes.
Let me tell you that I ordered the most yummiest string beans and chicken in white sauce from this place. The flavors are unreal and there is fresh garlic and carrot pieces and it is just amazing. Picture was taken after I ate. The space is just a hole in the wall in a sketchy area but the employees seem nice. Make sure you come with cash.
I have to give this restaurant 2 stars only because the food is really amazing, but the service and all the employees expect the cooks, are complete idiots, they have no customer service skill at all! And they always mess up the orders they are an absolute mess! And they don’t take credit cards either.
Borscht is awesome here! First I took a cup, and then ordered a bowl. Please add salo and garlic to the side. As for other dishes it actually tastes like it’s home made Ukrainian food that I used to eat visiting my grandmother.
Wanted to specifically highlight the speed of serving people, it’s awesome! My soup was served just couple minutes after I placed the order.

Ate dinner here for the first time and the food is amazing. Layers of flavors and sophisticated menu options. I had the braised organic chicken with capers and currants and flourless chocolate cake for dessert as I’m gluten free. Delish. Will definitely be back.
Thought Gen Tso would be a bit different in China Town....but it was...Gen Tso. I suppose should have ventured a bit further afield in my taste. The chicken was cooked perfect but it wasn't spicy. Sticky rice and broccoli rounded out the dish. Both were perfect. I suppose it was a perfect Gen Tso although a bit on the mild side.

My wife had the chicken lo mein...about the same as you can get outside of China Town.

Restaurant decor is what I would expect in China Town, servers did a good job.

Drinks are in cans, and it can be crowded in there.

I would go back, but venture a bit further on the pallette next time.

Food was 3.5-4 stars because of the reasonable price per portion and good range of dishes (not outstanding but still comforting and great size). Took off 1.5-2 stars because of my last experience at the store because the waitress was being very rude to me and my friend from out of town who had a question about her dish. Could have much better service but the food was good for price and general lack of Malaysian food in Manhattan

I’ve been coming to Celeste with my family for nearly two decades. I have countless memories here sharing delicious meals with family and friends and it never gets old! The spinach salad is so simple yet so unbelievably good. The vermicelli and clams is the best I’ve ever had and Carmine always recommends the best bottle of wine. If you’re questioning whether to try this local hidden gem, make the reservation 100% and tell them the family from Connecticut sent you. Thank you Celeste for a short lifetime of wonderful meals and memories.

This place is great. Went to support Ukraine and stayed for the delicious food. Meat borchsct is mind-blowing and the boiled potato pierogis with onions and sour cream are just as tasty. I could literally eat the potato pancakes every day and never get tired of them. Veal goulash and stuffed cabbage also very good. Honey cake for dessert is big enough for two, especially after a meal like that. Anna our server was great and a pleasure to be around. Oh I forgot, if you like watermelon, I'm not a fan, you have to get the watermelon iced tea. It was so refreshing and the watermelon was so sweet, it may have converted me. Overall an incredible meal.
Actually the best fast food burgers I've ever had! Smash patties that taste like real meat smash patties! Burgers done right. Tried the burbourn and fried onion burger and it was tasty as heck!
I ordered Sultan Platter and Falafel, the presentation was nice and taste was very good and everything was fresh. I also appreciate the staff they’re so kind, and the ambience was very nice too.

Ordered mussels, meat lasagna and tiramisu today~ Mussels taste fair enough in texture, they were large in size so I feel a bit contented as a mussel lover. The lasagna was softer than I expected, but it was great! It integrates perfectly with the meat sauce, tomato sauce and cheese, which brings out a real good flavor~ Tiramisu was also very nice, it was aromatic and the sweetness was just at the perfect point~

Came here to stay on theme with our Broadway show. The atmosphere was great, with the saxophone and piano music playing. I had the boeuf bourguignon, and honestly it wasn't amazing. it was lacking in flavors. This came as a surprise to me because it's a dish hard to make not flavorful. My friends got the cordon blue and the coq au vin. No one remembers the cordon blue, but the coq au vin was the star of the night. You can't go wrong with a red wine sauce. Everyone kept going back for bites of her meal.

Atmosphere very pleasant. Food was fair - I ordered pasta w sardines which turned out to be few pieces crumbled sardines over pasta. Not a lot of choices of pasta either. For dessert I ordered tartufo which is a ball of ice cream covered in chocolate- what I got was 1/2 ball of melting ice cream for $15. Rip off. Won’t return

We have been frequent customers of Celeste over the years, but hadn’t been in about 9-12 months.
We just went this evening and I must say the food was as good if not better than our meals when we’re were in Italy for 3 weeks in October of last year.
You must try the specials menu (using the QR Code). Tonight we had the swordfish carpaccio excellent (sorry no photo of this one). I had the lasagna which was as good as any that I had in Northern Italy. My wife had the ravioli with burrata and Sicilian tomatoes and we finished with the blood orange sorbet with balsamic and strawberries.
The flavors were so fantastic that it was one of my best meals in the past year or two…
Cash only, but worth a visit and ask Carmine to recommend a wine you won’t be disappointed.
Everything was excellent. We got the mixed grill for 2, all the meat was cooked and seasoned perfectly.
The bread was great too. Highly recommend. 👍👍👍👍

If I could give this place 10 stars ⭐ I would! The food is authentic and tasty. We ordered a lot - the Malay eggplant, chow kway teoh and bean curds were the highlights for me. The staff was soooo welcoming and attentive. I will definitely come back.
Absolutely overpriced! My experience talking about restaurant in NY was extraordinary until I got dinner in this place, Mc Donald or burger king is way better, this is a regular burger from a fast food place and The bathrooms were disgusting. I paid $45 for the food you see in the picture

Increased pre-fix menu price by $10 in the span of 6 months! It’s $70 now. We had escargot for appetizer (my husband remarked the escargot we had at Epcot in Disney recently tasted better! So there’s that). Coq au vin entrée (bland, could taste the red wine in the sauce too much, might try the peppercorn sauce instead next time), and crème brûlée dessert (my fav part! The top was lightly torched but the whole thing melted in mouth). Signature cocktail (as pictured below). Had vodka and pineapple juice in it, so refreshing. We also tried the dish this restaurant is known for: French Onion Soup Burger. It was double patty, cheesy, amazingly caramelized onions, 10/10. Back to the vibe: a singer flew in from LA and she was lighting up the place with beautiful live music and customer interaction. Enjoyed listening to the live band and staring at the beautiful paintings on the wall. Overall, a place to spend around $170 for 2 people to sit back, eat ‘alright’ french food, and enjoy a relaxing environment.
It's just really good. You can make your burger low carb. There are a lot of people, so you have to wait, but it's worth it. Prices are average, for example, a double shake burger will cost $10. The atmosphere is relaxing, the staff is friendly and cleans the tables carefully. I recommend this place to everyone.

I recently dined at Celeste and must say that my experience was a bit underwhelming. While the food was decent, it was nothing to write home about. The pizza, in particular, was disappointing as it was poorly leavened and lacked the desired flavor, didn’t have the features of an italian pizza, let alone neapolitan. The artichokes, on the other hand, were good but the portion size was quite small. The burrata was just average. The rigatoni alla norma were tasty and well cooked, probably the best dish.

Service-wise, things were okay. The staff were friendly and did their best to attend to our needs. However, I was quite disappointed to learn that the restaurant only accepts cash. In this day and age, that's not very convenient for customers.

The biggest issue I had with Celeste was their policy of offering a free dessert in exchange for a positive review on Google. This creates biases and explains the discrepancy in ratings between Google (4.6) and Yelp (3.5). In my opinion, the restaurant is definitely worth more of a 3.5 rating than a 4.6. Obviously, I didn’t take advantage of this since I wanted to write an unbiased review.

Overall, while Celeste is an okay spot to grab a bite, I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again.

Honestly, honestly. Good service firstly, because my husband and I went to see a show on broadway after the dinner so the staff made sure our food was finished quicker so we’d make our show.
The ambiance of the restaurant was nice and welcoming I must say.

Now the food was okay. I’ve tried French cuisine before— exquisite. However this restaurant was very mediocre from the appetizer to the dessert. I wasn’t sure if it was this way because they were rushing on our meal, but I do feel if the food would taste this way the pricing should be cheaper.

Other than that, had a fine time. P.S. if you order from there, do not order the rainbow trout. It’s really not good. I don’t know why they recommended it to me.

Amazing nasi lemak for such a cheap price! Aromatic curry, tasty sambal, crispy anchovies, sweet shrimp fritter, fragrant coconut rice, and an assortment of vegetables and pickles to lighten up the meal. I can eat this every other day if I lived near the restaurant.
This is a really nice Turkish restaurant. Service was good! Only wish they had added charred onions and chilies for more flavor, just my preference but overall would recommend this place!

Love their chopped salads and sandwich options!
Average for the area, wanton soup was good value for money, pork dumplings looked a little undercooked (red meat) and the individual meat dishes were a little bland and quite greasy. Decent enough selection of Asian beers though.

Had a delicious last minute dinner here on Saturday night. We walked in at around 7:30 with a party of 5 and were able to get seated immediately. This may be because the service is very quick so it seems they turn tables around fast. There were times that we felt rushed. That said, the staff was friendly and the food was very good. We particularly enjoyed the pizzas - the crust was perfection.

This is a very decent place for your pre-post show meal. Their prix fixe menu offers a broad cross-section of popular French dishes and desserts, and, to its credit, it does take off the edge of a difficulty to choose something. The service is pretty quick. The staff are mostly French, very polite and welcoming. The lighting, oil paintings and wooded accents add nicely to the atmosphere in the style of the French province, and is quite intimate and cozy. The only reason why I wouldn't give this place 5 stars is that the quality of food preparation leaves some room for improvement. Some of the same dishes I tried in France for a small fraction of the cost at Le Rivage were significantly tastier and prepared with more enthusiasm and improvisation. But given everything else, this is but nitpicking. I hence would recommend this restaurant.

Affordable, no frills, chinese food. Everything I have ordered in the past has been great. The employees are very nice.
First time I’ve been to this Shake Shack in years and it’s changed. It used to be a line out the door, but around 11:30 on a Sunday? There weren’t that many people around, which surprised me.

Had the new white truffle burger and the shack burger with cheese fries and strawberry shake.

The shake was still solid, very good consistency, and solid strawberry flavour. The burgers weren’t as good as I remembered, the white truffle burger was a little bland, the shack burger was a better way to go.

Overall - I guess my nostalgic love for Shake Shack wasn’t as fulfilled as I would have liked.
Had a wonderful meal in Chinatown. Split chicken lo mein and some pork and leek dumplings with my friend! The wonton soup and hot and sour soup were perfect for the cold winter night. Great selection of food. This place can get pretty crowded though, so arrive before the big dinner rush around 5-5:30. Service is fast!
Came at a busy time but did not wait long. Food was good. Restrooms clean. Ordered Muchu pork and dumplings. They were great.
We found this place when we were looking for a dinner place in theater district on our recent trip to NYC. We were lucky enough to get the table for five as we did not have reservations. This place is nicely decorated but not very big. Friendly staff and fast service. Main entrees and desserts, everything was very good and flavorful! Definitely coming back.
Food was good but I think it was a bit pricey because you get only four pieces of lamb chops for 42 dollars.
Lamb chops were good but I don’t think they were worth 42 dollars.
Service was also pretty good.
Centrally located
Great ambience and atmosphere
Courteous and professional staff
Well maintained
Prompt service
We ordered a mixed grill platter. It served well for 3 adults who are mid size eater. The shammi kebab in the platter tasted so so good. Baklava was also very tasty but portion size is relatively small so left us craving for more :)
Bar offers only wine and beer

Would surely want to visit them in next trip

Pretty basic sandwich shop, they have a couple different sandwiches and two sizes for their sandwiches, regular and hero. Regular is ciabatta they also have wraps and salad for lunch. They have a pretty extensive breakfast menu that seems pretty good, but just like most New York they all their drinks are bottled. I got their steak and cheese sandwich. It was flavorful and I enjoyed it. The only thing was kind of off was their organization on how they keep orders in order, maybe review that a little, but other than that would try again.

This is my go-to spot. Clean. Staff is always friendly, service may be a bit slow at times but that’s because they are busy (for good reason). Large portions so price is acceptable (especially for NYC standard). Variety of lunch specials. Food is always flavorful and cooked well. Pictured: Singapore rice noodle with shrimp, triple delight (chicken, beef and shrimp), and chicken pad Thai. Highly recommend the roti canai and coconut rice 😁

The restaurant is relatively big comparing to other Chinese restaurants nearby. The decor looks out of date. The carpet needs some deep clean or completely replaced. We came here on a Sunday afternoon at around 4pm. The restaurant was not too busy so the food came out quickly. We ordered Shanghai style stir fry rice cake, sautéed smoked pork. They were tasty and authentic. The ingredients were fresh. The spicy cabbage was a disappointment though. It was not spicy at all and too sweet. The service was okay.
So many places to choose from but this one caught my eye.
We have the lunch special which was $10. It cam with soup, white rice, and an entree. The portion was a nice size. We didn’t leave stuff, but was enough so we can walk to little Italy for dessert.

Certainly not authentic Chinese food but it's relatively inexpensive and the spare ribs are delicious. Egg rolls aren't worth ordering. Fried rice and noodles are very good. My daughterikes the beef and broccoli. Not bad if you don't want to travel to Chinatown.

This is going to be short, take this with a grain of salt. I’m looking for Chinese food and normally I want Chinese good on the healthy side if things but I walk into Kwok Food King and was greeted by the lovely lady and ask if and when I’m ready let her knows. Few times later, I order my food but had to wait because there is only one food right now. A family was waiting for their food and mine came soon after theirs.
The woman again, thank me and I thank her.
That Homemade iced tea wasn’t sweet (that’s a good thing) it’s tea with lemon. That’s it, perfect. If you get homemade iced tea from others and it’s crazy sweet, then you know the owner and cooks do not care about your health.

I know this is kit 4-5 start dynasty dinner or meals that I normally will have back in China. But this is America, I get what I can get, lol.

Food was good too and not over

Been eating here since I was a very young boy.... Definitely, the BEST Chinese food, that delivered to my apartment, my whole life living in Chinatown! 25 years, and the food has stayed the exact same!! Very GOOD.

Absolutely amazing! The food was INCREDIBLE!!! The saltimbocca di pollo alla romana was cooked so well, definitely was noting like I’ve had before. The real star was our server Micheal! He was so informative and helpful. He really elevated the experience.

It was our first time in Little Italy and came across this awesome place. The food was awesome, we were able to try a variety of plates and my favorite was the Lobster Ravioli. Staff was awesome and it was an overall great time!
Good restaurant to come and have a good taste of the Chinese gastronomy.

In this case we tasted pork and white rice, beef soup, and a good tofu soup. Different flavors that in some moments are weird but interesting.

I always think that you need to taste other things even when they don’t call much your attention. A little bit never kills anyone.

Here in this restaurant I got to give a 5 star to the decoration and the tables, it was perfect in all aspects.

The service in the beginning was ver y normal but it went better when we ordered more.

The flavors of the food I must say that where unique and gave me the intentions to see what more can we taste.

For the handicapped people it is friendly.
I haven't seen an Ecuadorian restaurant in such a long time so I was very excited to try this place out. Fritada and Mote was perfect. Ceviche was ok. It was my first time and I must admit the food wasn't bad but I have had better. I will give it another try. I saw some other delicious plates I would like to taste. Overall 6/10

Flavorless. The worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Chef has no knife skills. Large, rough-cut hunks of food barely fit in your mouth. Awful.
Super slow service
Poor decor
Bicycle in the eating area
Bland food
Grumpy waitress

Authentic food.

I would not recommend this location.
Everything was amazing but the gnocchi was truly melt-in-your-mouth good. Also ordered the fava bean salad, pappardelle oxtail ragú, and tiramisu. Everything was delicious and the staff was incredibly friendly and on their game. Felt like a great neighborhood joint and will definitely be coming back. + Spacious outdoor seating.
Great South America Food! Love everyday's lunch special!!

Sunshine Salad! One of the tastiest salads I've ever had! There was Kale, quinoa, smoked turkey, beets, walnuts, blue cheese, corn and apple and honey balsamic dressing. Yes it all tastes as good as it sounds. Everything was fresh. Lots of space on the inside and this is probably the largest Lenwich location I've been to. Wait time is slim. They make your food right there and hand it to the cashier. Very fast indeed.

The food is delicious. I had carne a la parrilla, i.e., grilled steak w rice, beans, plantain and small salad. It's all cooked to perfection. Dining room has nice brick walls. This place is definitely a 'cut above'.

It is what it is cheap Chinese food but for seven dollars or so you can't go wrong . steer clear of the sesame chicken not the greatest, I tried the steamed chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce it was a decent attempt but nothing to write home to mom about . then again you get what you pay for.
